The food is amazing. Some of the best bbq I've had in a very long time. Their tri tip was done really well. So many places over cook it and don't tenderize it and it comes out tough and dry. The service was really good. Everyone was polite and checked in regularly. The place was just what you'd expect. A little area sectioned off from the gas station that offered sit down seating right up where you could see them prepare the food. This place is serving a KILLER Jalapeño cheddar sausage. Probably the best one I've had in all of California for sure. Pleasantly suprised and absulotely worth every penny that I spent on it. Located in a gas station you will find this little spot serving up some mighty meals. Great, fast and friendly service here. They do have some seating indoor however I took my meal to go. Paid $19 bucks for my sausage and that think was cooked to perfection and BOLD WITH FLAVOR. Very high quality meat and ingredients and that was very much appreciated. It was good!! My family has been telling me about this BBQ food joint forever and I always drive right past going to work or down the hill and what not so it was nice to see the options of food!! We ended up getting some of their brisket my cousin SWEARS on with the meat being tender and juicy as hell!! As well as sharing some ribs!! The thickness of meat on the bone is superb!!! Service was the best and they were the sweetest to us! It was a hot day so it was nice to get our food quick and get in the shade, I noticed some yelpers saying they don't have outdoor dining here but we were able to find some chairs in the shade just fine and enjoy! Not to mention it's right in front of a gas station so you're able to get whatever drink/soda you might want with it!! Ambiance is chill! Hot! (Summer could have something to do with that) but an all around wonderful experience with a view when you get your food, and a seat!!! Definitely stop by here when you can!! Another first! Ok peeps. Drove by this place too many times to count! Finally made the decision to stop and try it out, sure glad we did. Mama got the pulled pork sandwich and I got the half pound of brisket.. So good that my husband said he wanted to go back and bark until they fed him meat scraps! We went around 4pm and brisket was still tender, ribs were fall off the bone, and the sausage was so nice and flavorful. There are only two sides, but the vinegar based coleslaw was great and the beans with brisket almost had a chile verde quality. Would absolutely go again. Stopped by as we drove to the casino. The smoke from the orange truck caught our eye. Let's start with the pros. The brisket was so moist and delicious! The seasoning was nice and the smoke was tasty. Price was alright. Some cons the beans really didn't have any flavor at all. And the ribs were a bit dry. A friend recommended Fasty's, which is in Jamestown, in the C&C FastMart/gas station, (you can see orange food truck/smoker from hwy 108/49). Get out of your car and you smell the smoky goodness and go inside the mart to meet the nicest server who allows you time to look at the menu and explain what the current available meats are. Tried the tri-tip plate with one side (outstanding vinegar based Cole slaw!). My hubby tried the brisket plate (which had some smoked end pieces which were sooo yummy). Both orders came with a healthy amount of pickled red onions and pickles. Photos on yelp are totally accurate and because we were so hungry once the food arrived, we didn't take photos! No matter, do yourself a favor and stop here. Take something home or eat there (clean tables available inside the mart). We ate there, finished up and we were asked for feedback (which was great) and they helped us clear our table. Great food, great service and reasonably priced $24/plate, which made for a huge and satisfying lunch and I probably won't eat dinner now! Would try pulled pork sandwich next time. The food is good. The beans were very good. The first time we had them the second time they hadn't been cooked long enough and we're not tender. We'd really like to order food ahead of time but no one answered the phone they seem to be short on food if you get there anytime in the afternoon, the ribs are always gone. Been seeing this Food truck/ Trailer off and on for a few years . Mostly when it was in oakdale . Been wanting to try it . Now its at a gas station in jamestown . Stoped in on a Saturday 1:15 they opened at 11:15 wanted pork ribs but was told they were sold out . Bought a pound of beef brisket & a side of pinto/ baked beans . Kinda pricey total was $47.00 got it to go . I will say the brisket was top shelf . I am a super hard critic on bbq . This guy nails it . Super tender & moist great flavor & bark . Rob (the owner) and Sons are from South Texas and they know good BBQ. Do they know how to smoke the meat the right way where it is cooked to perfection? Your'e dang right they do! I read a review of someone who said the BBQ was great, but a little pricey. Ya know why? Because Rob buys USDA Prime Brisket nd Prime Tri Tip! Nobody does that nowadays! They go on the cheap! I owned a BBQ joint and we smoked USDA Choice which is great meat, (way above average) but we didnt smoke Prime. OMG! The brisket was off the chart good! Juicy, tender and smoked just right. Same for the Tri Tip! The ribs were wonderful with a great dry rub. Their smoked turkey and whole chickens are to die for as well. This great place is on hwy 108 on the side of the road inside the C & C mini Mart. You will see his big orange smoker set up on the left side of the road. I think if I'm ever low on funds I'll stand out in front of the place with a sign that says, "Will Work For A Rack Of Ribs" It's that good!!! And they are the kind of family you love to support!
