While visiting my friends, we were looking for something to do in their area. They remembered East Meats West being great the last time they had it and decided to introduce me to it while they were at Last Call Brewing. We ordered a bunch of items to share including pulled pork fries, tri-tip aioli fries, their 3-item East Meal Combo and a cookie bar. The fries were tasty and we thought the pulled pork fries were better as a cohesive dish than the tri-tip fries. The flavors were easier to get in every bite. However the tri-tip itself was really good, flavorful and tender. The Bao were so fluffy and the proteins were well seasoned and had great flavor. The Yakitori chicken also had a great flavor. The salad that came with it as a side was a shaved cabbage and tasted great with their dressing. Even with three of us eating all this we ended up having leftovers. read more

My goodness. This place far exceeded my expectations, and honestly they were high. I had Yoshi's special Bao sandwiches and they were mouth-wateringly good. The rice was moist and the slaw/cabbage was crisp and fresh. I was lucky to catch them on a.slower night because it can get busy. Went to visit this little gem on Wednesday evening. Really good flavors that meshed together. I have the spicy chicken bowl. That was really good. My wife had the sandwich and bao combo. Those were really good too. Only thing that I would possibly suggest is that the pork belly have a some crispness to it. Sine the bun is very soft. I was very fortunate to be able to try some of East Meats West's menu selections during the production stage and can say, without a doubt, that the food is both delicious & unique. My favorite is the to die for Tri-tip sandwich but Yoshi''s Chicken Bao with homemade bao is a dish you can have again and again. I am a Gallo employee and this truck was here for the lunch hour. I liked the Yakitory chicken, but the pork belly Bao taco was too fatty. The Bao bun was doughy. When being the only truck for a business lunch hour, it would be nice to have a more traditional menu. This is all we have to pick from, so your odd style food may not be what this type of lunch customer might wants. The menu seemed to only allow kits of components the truck chooses. Maybe two yakatory and some rice? That might be better than a Bao. read more

Expectations not met. Lady was super nice and polite. One item-combo not worth it, you get a sad piece of pork belly in a bun and plain rice with cole slaw or "salad" that was like dry straw.
