My review is based off of take out. This is a family owned restaurant and authentic Mexican cuisine. The chips appear to be mostly flour type, which are my favorite. I like how some of them are longer rectangle shaped, easy for dipping in their medium red salsa. Their salsa has nice blended constancy with hints of garlic to it. The chips and salsa come complimentary with your order and they are very generous if you want an extra one. The people that work here are always kind and friendly and whenever I've called my order in, it's usually ready in ten minutes. Personally I like the wet burrito with Al pastor that has beans rice and your choice of meat inside, and sour cream, cheese, guac, red onions chopped, and their verse (green) sauce warm smothered over the top. It is usually enough to split for me for two meals. I really appreciate how kind they always are, as I have been getting food here for many years and it's definitely a Sonora favorite local spot for many. Check it out. read more

Good soup! (Quite literally.) anytime I'm sick or dental surgery anything I cannot chew and need a soup that's not chunky? This place not only has bong tacos and burritos but their damn GARLIC SOUP is completely incredible!!! It comes with cheese but it's so flavorful it doesn't even need it. We usually get a point and it lasts forever! The service is great! We always order over the phone, go down and pick up. They're extremely sweet and are always offering to help you open one of their variety of jarritos! Absolutely nice people! The ambiance is a bit casual I've dined in and out and I enjoy it! A chill environment is very nice every once in a while when you're trying to enjoy your tacos and garlic soup in peace but this place is amazing! Great and quick service... my meal was excellent! The carnitas were crispy on the edges like they should be -- the cook knows exactly how to prepare them correctly. Jamestown, CA is a small town located in the lower Sierra Nevada foothills, that is most famous for being home to Railtown 1897, a California State Park, that centers around a vintage railroad roundhouse operation from the late 1890's. You can ride a train pulled by a vintage steam engine most of the year, which will build an appetite, especially for Mexican cuisine. How about delicious Mexican cuisine? Check out CC Taqueria, located in Jamestown, CA... The menu is taped to the window near to the entrance door, and is the only printed menu you'll find. This is the "Combination" section of the menu, where I made my choice and placed my order. This is only one of several menu pages, as the restaurant offers a wide array of all your Mexican favorites. The dining room is very plain and the furniture is simply tables, but it's friendly and comfortable. Shortly after I was seated outside, my host, Luis brought out a basked of tortilla chips and a bowl of salsa, which made for a perfect appetizer. The corn tortilla chips were pretty typical of what you'll enjoy in practically every taqueria, and they were fresh, crisp, lightly salted and simply delicious. The salsa was on the dark side, sort of chunky, and chocked with robust flavor rather than heat. Simply delicious! I asked the staff about the salsa and they told me it is made in-house daily before the 07:00 opening time so you know it's fresh. If you're in the mood for delicious, fresh salsa, perfect for tortilla chip dipping, you've arrived at the right restaurant. From the "Combinations" section of the menu, I went with the "Soft Shell Taco" selection. My choice of meat was carnitas, which is marinated, shredded and grilled pork, cooked Mexican style. You enjoy a wide variety of meat, along with a veggie option, and you can choose between one to three tacos; I split the difference and went with two tacos. All "Combinations" come with a generous side of Mexican rice and refried beans, and make for perfect gold country dining. Talk about a beautiful presentation! Each taco began with two medium size corn tortillas, fried on the griddle so they were soft, yet they held together well. My meat of choice, a generous helping of carnitas, was roasted, shredded pork, lightly seasoned and cooked to bite-tender. Toppings included lots of pico de gallo, shredded Mexican cheese, along a generous dollop of creamy avocado. The tacos were based on medium size - not street size - corn tortillas, and each taco included a generous helping of carnitas and toppings. Not only were the tacos delicious, but they were LARGE and filling! I most likely could have simply ordered a single taco and I would have been good to go. At CC Taqueria, you won't leave hungry! The tacos were simply delicious! The tortillas and the meat arrived warm, the pico de gallo and avocado were chilled, and the shredded cheese had just a little bit of "melt." Like a quality hamburger, when your taco arrives with both hot and cold combined, you know you've hit the taco jackpot. I ordered from the "Combination" menu as I simply LOVE Mexican rice and refried beans, and I wasn't disappointed. Like the tacos, the portions of rice and beans were generous. The refried beans were simply delicious, as they were perfectly cooked with most of them soft and on the runny side, but with a few chunks to add contrast. Don't quote me, but I thought I could taste lard... or was it bacon grease? The beans were topped with melted Mexican cheese, which added a creamy and slightly tangy touch to these delicious beans. The Mexican rice was solid, cooked perfectly, and made for a great side dish, but like most rice served at Mexican restaurants, it was unremarkable. My lunch - which is actually a dinner item - was well-prepared, well-portioned ... may I say LARGE? ... and simply delicious. The only thing negative that I can say is I thought the carnitas were on the bland side, but everybody has a different taste, and maybe that was just "me." Great, solid Mexican Tuolumne County Mexican food... CC Taqueria, located in Jamestown. You gotta love CC Taqueria, as it's the only Mexican restaurant in Jamestown, but the friendly staff at CC don't take advantage of their monopoly - you could take a drive to nearby Sonora for more choices - and the staff will treat you like family, prepare delicious food, and offer friendly and excellent service. Went there for a birthday celebration and ordered the Fajitas (both Shrimp and steak) and were disappointed. They were served in a broth so more like a soup consistency and SUPER salty... Also got 2 margaritas (house) but were charged 19.50 for each one where they should have been $9.75. Born and raised in Sacramento but never ventured out to Sonora or Jamestown. My son and I needed to grab a quick meal before meeting others for a script reading for an upcoming documentary so that's what landed here. I found this little nugget off the hwy roadside using the trusty Yelp app and I was actually a little hesitant when we arrived but found the staff very friendly and with good food. I'm sure it's not "real" Mexican just Americanized but I always evaluate a Mexican joint by how their refried beans taste and C C's was on the top of my list. I ordered a pork tamale while the kid got a three soft taco combo and he really liked them. My tamale was so so. I liked how they served two different taco chips for appetizers; a fried white tortilla and regular corn chips. The salsa was very very mild and needed a little more kick for me but was very good as well. So if you're in the area and want to get out of the crowd in old town Sonora, take the little drive down to Jamestown. read more

Story....the breakfast at this taqueria has always been top notch but recently i got the breakfast burrito with sausage and what i got wasnt much better than McDonalds as far as the quality of the food. Cheap sausage patties cut up with eggs. But then at a cost of 15.00. So you lowered the quality of the food and raised the price ? This is mexican food.....the cheapest food to make. NO BUENO. I can only hope that their distributor ran out of the quality sausage so they had to improvise. On top of that it made my partner and i a little bit sick. Queasy stomach and running to the bathroom. As the prices of food have gone up this year 2025, thise prices are tacked onto to the restaurants as well, as the consumers. I have stopped ordering food from this restaurant because they continually got my order wrong. I called and spoke to them voice to voice, they would repeat back my order and it would be right. I often paid extra for 3 additional corn tortillas and they would give me the flour ones. I do not eat flour at all, so I would have an amazing plate of fajita fixings but had no corn tortillas to eat the fajita mix with. When ordering the Surf and Turf fajitas it didn't bother me because in my opinion I can eat this dish without the corn tortillas. However, when I ordered the meat fajita's platter and I ordered extra corn tortillas and I never received one tortilla to eat my fajitas with, I became upset when this happened every time single time that I ordered. I was ordering once to twice a week and the restaurant made this mistake every single time. Even though I told my caregivers to check the order before they left the restaurant they didn't. I would be famished when they brought my order into the house, I would eat the food with or without the corn tortillas. I decided I could have my caregiver make fajitas for me at my house for a whole lot less than what I was paying the restaurant and my caregiver would have the corn tortillas here to heat up in the microwave as I needed. Problem solved. I miss their guacamole it was very good, a good balance of tomatoes and onions the right amount of cilantro. I attended Columbia College and graduated in 1998 with a Food Service Technology certificate, a Hotel Management certificate and a Culinary Arts certificate.
