I am in the process of moving , and of course needed moving supplies galore .I visited 3 Home Dépôts and found the Washington Avenue Extension was superior to all . Not only does it have moving supplies in abondance but they have extra large moving boxes that the others do not have ,along with bubble wrap that is in two grades . I arrive ,every morning when it opens ,the service is beyond anything in every department . Even if you are cashing out and need something the staff will do everything they can to accommodante your needs ,especially Dennis in customer service who has helped me getting large wardrobe boxes and every other thing nearly daily into my small compact car . This is a decent Home Depot with a larger than average garden center. The access road is a little awkward navigating through, so stay alert. As per the Home Depot website, there's free 2-day delivery on many products here. The self-checkout kiosks have a few credit card readers that sometimes have difficulty reading the chip on your card. read more

This is the main Home Depot. I usually go to. I like the way that I am treated as a customer here. I can buy or purchase my water and exchange and there is no problem whatsoever. If I need to pick up supplies, so usually in the lockers ready for me to pick up. They are very courteous and very helpful. Well done! read more

Let me start off by saying this is by far one of the best stores that you can go into if you're looking to do any home improvement project. Every time we have gone into the store we have come out with what we needed and at a pretty decent price. The reason why I dropped the star rating is because it is very difficult to find anyone to give you a hand or to help you out if you need it. And when there is somebody there and you make eye contact with them, it is almost like they know you wanna ask them a question so they go to the opposite direction to make sure that they are not in your path. That seems to be the only issue that we have at any of these locations and that's the reason why I dropped the star. I know now that I don't need to ask him a question, but it would be nice to have that gentle assist if I needed it. The store is like a giant warehouse so the floor is not like a normal floor. It is a concrete floor so if you're walking around a lot on it, you can wear on your feet and legs, she'll have a good pair of shoes on when you go in, and depending on the time of day, you could be standing in line to check out for quite some time. Overall though I would definitely recommend this location and overall these stores to anyone looking for home-improvement needs. Thank you for listening. read more

This is just like every other Home Depot. That most likely have what you are looking for unless you are searching for super small bolts, homasote, or special custom tools. Those are things I was unable to find here. On the plus side, their prices are competitive and their website tells you what specific aisle and bin you will find the items you need. On the downside, the staff are as friendly and knowledgeable as other HD or Lowes stores... meaning, you run the gamut from helpful to rude to ignorant of products. So, go in knowing what you want and where it is and you should be fine. read more

We've ordered a number of items from this store. And we've now had to open every box to make sure it wasn't broken before we left the store. We ordered 11 boxes of flooring for our bedroom, 7 were damaged. We ordered 5 boxes of flooring for our bathroom, 3 were the wrong color, and we were unable to order the first color because it was "out of stock". we ordered a vanity top, and it was cracked in 3 places, after the man who helped us tossed it on the cart. So we reordered it, and it came broken again... We have really lost faith in this Company. We will be ordering our vanity top somewhere else Because we do not trust it to come a 3rd time, 2 months later, unbroken. read more

I ordered a new stove and microwave with delivery and installation scheduled for 12/14/22. Delivery persons arrived and had no ladder to complete the installation of the microwave. Claimed that my cabinets were installed higher than normal. They aren't. Virtually demanded to use my ladder which would mean that I would assume any liability should there be an injury. I refused. Delivery supervisor Ms. G. offered no solution and refused to acknowledge responsibility on behalf of her company for any error or willingness to assume liability. She stated that the delivery person was not that big, 5.0'. How is this my responsibility? The appliances were removed from my home. I canceled the transaction. It will take 7-10 business days for Home Depot to return the appliance costs to me, leaving me with no stove on which to cook for the holidays. Merry Christmas from Home Depot! read more

Don't waste your time going here. Company has ancient uncompetitive store policies. Even escalated to management for logic to prevail with an outcome of me walking out hitting add to cart from Amazon saving $30 that this store wouldn't price match on a $299 purchase. Seriously ? Wouldn't discount 10% when Walmart, Lowe's and amazon are all selling the product $30 less! Why? Cause their policy is those stores have to have it in stock in a brick and mortar store - it can't be shipped online or to you home. Well guess what Home Depot- i should have never wasted gas to walk in your store because the word is fine having products ship to their door - especially when it's 10% less. Thank you for your store associates free advise on what to buy. You will have lots of inventory on your brick and mortar shelves to influence sales and drive your customers to buy somewhere else. read more

There are a number of Home Depot/Lowes in the area but this is by far the best one. Their service is remarkable, their production selection leaves little to be desired and the layout of the store is functional for the person looking to get in and out quickly. The garden center is a breeze, they offer do-it-herself workshops and the service is generally great. Service in dimensional lumber is hit or miss but their product line is top notch for a big ox hardware store. They lost a star for a recent terrible experience that led to the purchase of unnecessary hardware and lumber and horrible Friday evening service experience. Fortunately, it was a one in a million experience that was corrected with the wonderful Saturday morning team. The General Manager is wonderful and the entire front end team is stellar. read more

Went to this Home Depot today and a person that was in the appliances section walked align wth us all day to try and figure out what it is we would need for flooring he sure didn't need to help but that extra knowledge and help went alone way and is the reason I'm rating this Home Depot five stars in my book. There were dead birds in the nets right below the ceilings in their outdoor/gardening area. They must have gotten trapped in the nets. Went to Lowe's and they didn't have those nets. Not to mention we found what we were looking for at Lowe's. read more

I felt compelled to write a review after renting a pickup from this location. I didn't have a lot to move and only needed it for an hour or two, so their truck was a better option than penske / u-haul. I called ahead to confirm availability; Frank answered and said the truck was available and he would hold it for 15 minutes (fortunately I live 5 minutes away). He was great to deal with up front. The truck was adequate - a ford F250. it was in good condition and surprisingly easy to drive for a truck of its size -it handled quite well. the only negative was a lack of tie-down points, which was quite surprising. When I got back to return it, we finished the transaction one minute beyond the threshold for an additional charge. when I pointed it out, Frank refunded the additional charge without hesitation. overall, it was a great experience. I also encountered a couple of other employees while wandering around and was warmly greeted. read more

Every time I go into the store, the workers tend to ignore me and instead talk and gossip to each other. I finally got help and they realized that the item I wanted was stocked up in the higher shelves. Instead of getting it, they kept on asking me questions weather I really needed it for my project. I felt like I was being an inconvenience, so I left the store and will never come back. read more

Seem to have the products of choice over Lowes. Their stock (Stock Exchange) is doing well but they took away the 5% match of the Lowes card. Their customer service had gone down a lot but seems to be getting better. Some employees at the Crossgates Commons HD (Washington Av Ext) still have attitudes, and their is not enough management oversight of good customer service throughout all their open-hours. Some of the "management" that is there at various days/times could care less about their customer service. They may be over-worked and Holiday-stressed now but it is no excuse for poor customer service today and a number of times in the past. It was nice when HD used to be able to afford more qualified staff and hire more retired professionals. I'm sure their corporate model makes a lot of their staff pay in terms of frustration for their cost cutting, but also, a lot of the staff does not want to do their jobs beyond what is in their own narrow definition of their job. Upper-store-management needs to get a handle on their store-wide training, oversight and service. Corporate has to spend more money and pay closer attention to their customer service plans. ONE TIME IT WOULD BE GREAT TO MAKE IT A WHOLE MONTH OR YEAR OF SHOPPING WITHOUT GETTING ATTITUDES AND POOR SERVICE. read more

There really is a true spirit of Christmas. Two nights ago our four foot snowman was stolen from our front porch . We contacted the Colonie Police in which they took a report . Well Channel Ten and Six got a hold of it and came to home . That night they shoes it on the news . And we figured that was the end of story . How wrong we were . The next day we get a call from Mitch , the seasonal Manager at the Home Depot on the Washington Ave Ext. He told us that he saw the news last night and wanted to help us . He offered us a new six foot snowman . And then he said he'd even deliver it . Sure enough , that afternoon Mitch and his partner show up with our new snowman . But that's not all , he said as a bonus we're also giving you a sleigh and rain deer . My Wife and I were elated that Mitch and Home Depot did this for us with the help from Channel Ten. It just goes to show that there truly is Christmas spirit . God works in mysterious ways . My wife and I want to wish Mitch , Home Depot and Channel Ten the warmest Christmas and Happy New Year .
