I have to say that the store in Alhambra has always been what I expect. They usually have what I need and prices are ok. But I have to say also that ordering for delivery recently was unacceptable. I ordered a large cabinet for my bathroom and paid extra for in home delivery. They put the box in my living room. They said it would not fit in the bathroom. I asked them to remove the cabinet from the packaging and place the cabinet in the bathroom, which was what I paid extra for. NO, they would not do that. I had to remove the box from around the cabinet (it is very large) and place it in the bathroom myself after the delivery men left. read more

I was here early Saturday morning, around 7:15 am drizzling weather. I was looking for garden pebbles to finish up the front yard. It's understandable not many employees were here that early. One employee, long hair guy who works at the garden center approached me and asked if I needed a cart. I said no and looked for pebbles. I found what I wanted but now I needed help to load 10 bags of stones to the cart and then to my car. This same guy came to the rescue with a very pleasant attitude. He even noted the dirt of the pebbles and lined my trunk with the paper. I'm glad Home Depot hired this guy for a positive customer experience. I know not everyone is like him. read more

Came by to pickup some online orders. The line was quick and it's my new favorite way to shop at such big stores. The sales associate, Nacho, was very kind. He offered me assistance to my car and I declined at first thinking I should be fine. Then he noticed a lot of obstacles in my way trying to get to the exit and assisted. Then I agreed to needing the help because the cart is a lot heavier than I thought with a baby around me. Next time will do curbside pick up when with a baby. read more

Came to buy materials for a planter box and the employee by the lumber section was super friendly and helpful! We even went home with a few pieces of free wood from the discard pile. On a Friday evening, it wasn't busy at all. However, despite it not being busy, some items were low in supply. The redwood planks were down to a few pieces so it was a bit hard, but the staff got up there and helped us choose some decent pieces. Also, I wish there was more selection on the cedar planks. Overall, a great experience, especially as someone who isn't handy and needs all the assistance I can get! I can't speak to pricing/value as I lack experience (for now) regarding home improvement goods. read more

A rainy day is the perfect day to visit home depot. Needed to pick up an umbrella and a food grade bucket. Umbrellas were ALL OUT but thanks to Ryan for hunting down the bucket. With the help of Angel they both located the reserve from the sky above and successfully brought down just what I needed. I'll be back for an umbrella. read more

He should not even be there if he hates people that much The management don't have a clue what he does to the customers, goes to show you the management is not very smart either.so i guess you can't blame them because, they are not qualified to be aware of these things. I used a gift card here and was required to scan my driver's license at checkout. Later the gift card was used again without my authorization. I still had the gift card in hand. What worries me most: you make customers scan ID at first use, but staff tell me they can't use that information to confirm who used the card later. That doesn't make sense and it leaves you completely exposed. I suspect someone at the store had access to the card info. I'm sharing this so you know: if you use a gift card here, you could be at risk. Be careful. read more

Employees on the floor are great!! They are helpful & know their products. The customer service employees need more training. I went to return an item and there were 3 registers open with no customers yet none of the cashiers taking customers because they are busy chatting. So I approached a register and the gentleman says Ok, I can help you yet, he was on his phone. He then quickly asks a different person to take the register and he runs out to finish his call. New person was going to help me and asked for credit card. when I returned from the car with the credit card, she said she could not find my receipt. She starts digging through the trash where she found it because she had crumbled it & thrown it away. We came to get paint mix for our home. 3 different time because we kept on running out. Later next day, when it was dry. It was all 3 different color. How the heck do you mess up so bad when we use the same sample for them to mix. We ended up getting the 5 gallon mix and repaint the whole house again. What a waste of money and time. read more

I really love this Home Depot. Great selection of items and the staff is friendly and helpful. I've had very good experiences asking staff for advice on specific projects that I'm working on and they are always knowledgeable and happy to help. I will say that on a busy day it can be difficult to find a staff member because the staff are all occupied by other customers, but everyone I've talked to has been helpful. I also love how friendly the people at the self checkout stand are, they are always very warm in greeting you and they are also happy to help if you need anything. The garden section is great here, it's got a ton of variety that rotates through the seasons. The front section of the store also has seasonal items such as Christmas things during the holidays. I also think they keep the store pretty clean for being a big hardware store and having materials constantly tracked all over the place. Parking is always no problem, they have a large lot and it's never entirely full. I've also bought Christmas trees from the parking lot many times, but I haven't bought any since Covid so I'm not sure if they still do it but it was always a great place to buy trees. read more

Employees here don't seem too knowledgeable or they are just lazy. We were trying to get a door but the correct size was at the top. The lady kept saying the right one was at the bottom (90 inches) when we needed 80 inches. I guess she didn't want to operate the machine. Eventually after a bunch of talking she finally got the door down with the equipment but made us lift and carry it onto the cart.. Fridge section was alot better. We were looking for a fridge that said it was in store but we couldn't locate it and lady here guided us to where it was on display (which was away from the other fridges) i like that some of the fridges were on so we could test them out instead of it being unplugged like other places. read more

Today was a one star day. Went to get our tree. No one around so we carried it to self checkout. Brought it back to get cut and leveled. They no longer have the V-frame they set it in to level it. An older man simply cut the end off, leaving it still leaning. He objected to my request to attempt to level it basically saying I can figure it out at home "it's not a coffee table". For the price it feels like a simple request. I love older people. This guy was surly, not helpful in any way. Back to Pasadena HD next year. read more

Jesse Moran, store manager you need to read this. I received a notification that my order was ready at approximately 6:15pm. I place my order with your location due to the fact that it is near my house. Upon arrival at your location I stood in what appeared to be a line so I can't be sure because it just seemed to be more employees than any actual customers in the what is called the customer service section. Nobody would make eye contact and everybody kept trying to avoid looking at me as I was just trying to retrieve my pickup order. I apologize in advance if my multisyllabic words and good grammar Phil to make the point I am trying to make. Your worker Marisol was less than nice did not smile nor make eye contact and upon laboriously typing in the order number looked at me looked at the order looked at me looked at the order and then said she needed my ID I said my name is Mary Jackson and that this was an order placed by my company and she said well I need an id. My total order was 474 included to 24 packs of batteries and two brooms. I did not realize that brooms were in fact something that was stolen a lot and I had watched two other people pick up orders and their IDs were not requested. I called after I left and it took 3 5 min for someone to answer the phone. I have the screen shot. Poor customer service is an understatement as it would imply that there was any service whatsoever and instead there was a bunch of people just trying to milk the clock for the last 30 minutes that your store is open. The staff were extremely friendly and all greeted me, my partner, & my furry dog which we brought along! Shopping here was nice, we were able to find something for a really good deal. This Home Depot is huge! I love going to the Garden area to look at all the plants! They have even more the Christmas holidays! Look at my pictures for Christmas , wreaths, poinsettias, etc. i even saw white and red Poinsettia plants in the same pot! Beautiful! Beautiful too are the exotic orchids in blue, purple, etc. All the plants including vegetables are reasonably priced! Did you know they deliver plants?! Check out the sign! They had a big selection of huge Christmas decorations! Then there was a cute display of Sherpa socks: Sesame Street with Elmo, Cookie Monster, Scooby Doo, penguins, etc. read more

This was by far the worst experience I've ever had at Home Depot. The employees were unhelpful, dismissive, and seemed completely uninterested in assisting customer. The employees were too busy standing around chit chatting and FLIRTING with each other instead of helping customers, which was extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable. COVID-19: Social distancing is not enforced at this establishment. Some of the staff wears a mask. All customers are not expected to wear a mask. It's optional now. None of the staff wears gloves. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is open and available with no limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was grabbing some stuff from this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is massive. Some spots are smaller than others so be careful where you park. Store & Staff: The store itself is very neat, clean, tidy, and organized. The staff here are very kind, friendly, and helpful. Soooo BAD! my parents went to the Alhambra Home Depot about a Home Depot-brand power strip that carries a 3-year warranty. The package lists Home Depot as the only contact. At the customer service desk, staff asked an employee named George (he speaks Chinese) to help. Before any manager got involved, George said Home Depot wouldn't replace it and wouldn't handle it. He wouldn't even glance at the box with the warranty terms, and his tone made it clear he just wanted us out of the line. In the end, my mother spoke directly with the after-sales manager and the item was replaced -- exactly what the warranty required from the start. This wasn't a one-off. We've run into the same behavior from George on several recent visits while renovating. This store sits in the middle of a Chinese community. Many neighbors don't speak much English and will likely be sent to George for help. If this is the treatment they get, imagine the experience for the whole community. If you've had a similar experience with this employee at this location, please file a complaint right away. We shouldn't let one person's attitude set the standard for how our community is served. read more

Home Depot's return policy has now become just as bad as Lowe's! I recently went to HD to do a return on an item that was past the 90 day return window. I also had the receipt. It was a hand-held shower head that would, from time-to-time, become dislodged from the holder and fall down. Even when trying to make sure it is securely in place -- and it seems like it is -- it would still fall off! I explained all this to the HD rep in the returns department, who then called the store manager. All the store manager would offer is $5.00 discount towards a new one, which, of course, I took. I was also told that because it's past 90 days, I would have to appeal to the manufacturer's warranty . Why bother! Even if the manufacturer agreed to take it back, they'll probably just send me another that is probably defective as well. Used to be that HD would give you store credit when returning an item after 90 days if the return was reasonable (which in this case it was.) So much for having a PRO account. Well, when I can, I'll buy my stuff elsewhere. Already found items on Amazon that I could have bought at HD, but the price is cheaper and I usually get one day delivery. That saves time so I can do other activities while waiting for the delivery. Also, save on gas and wear-and-tear on the car, too. Lowes/HD both basically suck! read more

I asked them where I can find the shipping box, they quickly directed me to the right aisle. A different size of boxes are available, and I found the perfect size to use. Horrible customer service by "Diana" in the garden section. 12/29 5 pm. Tried to bully me into having her scan my items even though there were 2 self checkout registers open. This person was so preoccupied with fixing her pen she jumped when I originally walked in the entrance to the garden dept for the second time. I shopped for less than 10 minutes . I had purchased a paver and taken it up my truck and returned to purchase small plants and pots less than 2 min later. Had less than $50 of plants and pots in my cart. She was still preoccupied with her pen when I approached her register. I said I would use self checkout since she was busy. She said I couldn't and that it was store policy. She had to scan my items. I said it couldn't be since the self checkouts were open. She continued to argue with me even though I had already started scanning my items, Since I refused she said she would have to stand in front of my cart and watch me scan everything. She literally stood in front of my cart blocking my exit. The reason why she needs to be singled out is that I watched other people use the same self checkout less than 10 minutes earlier without her even acknowledging them. They were non Hispanic customers. I am Latina. very infuriating, unprofessional and rude. read more

Not sure if its home depot as a company or this location. However, there is either a lack of business sense as a company or just employees too lazy to figure out what they need to do if they don't know how to do something so they would point out it is not possible. First off, i was told you had to be in stores in person to order an item. Prevention of fraud, etc. So i am in stores and want to pick up from another location. Here i am.... In person... nope. You cannot because you have to be at the store you want to pick up. I guess at home depot making things inconvenient is their specialty. Its not about fraud prevention, etc. Its all about making it inconvenient for whomever shops there.... You cannot bring a large business to them but doesn't matter because its impossible to make a purchase. That's why if i can help it i will shop at lowes vs home depot. Because at least at lowes, they won't make me drive to another location to make a purchase of bulk. They can actually contact the other stores and make a transaction there at that store.... This is also not the first time i have had this experience with a home depot location. Its multiple locations in southern California. Most inconvenient place to shop. Sure they have multiple locations but my god you better hope it is in stock at the location you go to otherwise transactions are impossible for pick up at other "home depot stores". Good luck. You have many stores nearby but pray for stock (inventory is likely wrong anyways) but they want you to make separate calls to every store to verify inventory and drive to every store to verify inventory.... Cannot do that in stores at other locations because communications to other stores is blasphemous and too hard. read more

Ordered and paid for the installation of a new patio door on September 6. I didn't hear from Home Depot for two months. Then I called. They said that they had the door and were going to get a permit. Two more weeks with no message on how they were proceeding. Today, November 20, still no progress or prediction of success. I don't recommend Home Depot for work to be done. read more
