I was looking for garden pruning shears and found one type for 12 bucks which I thought was a bit high for non-brand low priced shears. I will stick with Fiskars for a lower price at HD big box store and it has a life time warrantee. Take a look around before buying anything because some prices aren't worth it. I went to Harbor Freight to buy a new pressure washer, but the checkout experience was frustrating. The woman helping us (Sales Manager) was very pushy about entering our information into their system, telling us that if we lost our receipt we wouldn't be able to return or exchange the item. We were fine with that, but then she told us that any return would incur a 20% restocking fee. I asked her about the fee if the item was dead on arrival -- meaning if it didn't work right out of the box -- and she said we would still have to pay the restocking fee. That really confused me. She kept using the words exchange and restocking fee in the same sentence, so I asked, "If Harbor Freight sells us a broken item, we have to pay Harbor Freight a restocking fee?" Instead of clarifying, she got defensive, saying "If Harbor Freight sold broken items, we wouldn't be in business," and told me to "read the words coming out of her mouth." Well, lady, your words weren't making sense. Finally my dad tried to clarify and asked if exchanges are free and if only refunds have a restocking fee, and she said yes. But up until that point, she had never used the word refund, which is why I was so confused and frustrated. All this while she kept trying to collect our phone numbers and continuing to warn us about losing our receipt. I didn't catch her name, but as a Sales Manager I'd expect her to explain policies more clearly and professionally. Harbor Freight should really improve training so situations like this don't happen. read more

I like checking out different Harbor Freights for fun and this one is probably my favorite. Manager is really nice and checks in with people to make sure everyone is good and she's helped me out several times and seemed happy to do so. The staff employees have also been pretty cool and I haven't had a bad experience. When I can, I go out of my way to purchase from this location for an item I know I need. read more

Harbor freight always have good value for nice sales/deals we come here for, so I would called and told the employee Julian here to keep the item I wanted on hold. But when when I arrived in less than 30 minutes, I found out the item is not available on the shelf and do I asked for it, and found out it is in another buyer's hands already. I asked Julian and he just played dumbed with me as he forgot to put it on hold after hanged up my call. Definitely can't hire this kind of employee for your shop these days, online shopping could take over most of the business and this is what happens if you have an employee like this to piss customers off! read more

O-rings, hoses, sprayers, glue, solar garden lights, forehead light, project lights...I can't even remember them all. I avoid the Alhambra hardware store on Marengo that I will not name because it's just the worst service there. Harbor Freight filled the void. Huge variety and very reasonable prices. Like the smaller 99cent or a discount store of Home Depot, Lowe's, ACE. Lots of cheap items but with understanding that items are also low quality. Great customer service at this store. There is free and membership which comes with a lifetime guarantee of a lot of their tools. Great place if looking for general diy items like tarps, bungie cords, tools, disposable gloves, batteries, headlamps/flashlights, bug zapper, magnets, cable organizers, etc. If you sign up for their free membership, you'll get emails of their sales. It was a rainy day, an item dropped out of my bag when trying to get into my car. Called over and the staff actually went outside to try and find it. BEWARE!! Harbor Freight will sell you non-working, defective products, not tell you it's non-working or defective and label them with 'all sales final'. A proper, legitimate business would pull the products from the shelves. But look, Harbor freight sells garbage product at bargain basement prices so the expectation is minimal or one time use. I was at Home Depot right before coming here, I just needed a couple of things kinda late at night, and one of the things was a steel brush, the one at Home Depot was really small and almost $5, I just couldn't pay that knowing that the dollar tree has it for $1.25. So I figured I'll get it in the morning, while driving home I passed this store and saw they were open, and what do you know they have the steel brush for 99cents even cheaper than the dollar store. Haha They have really great prices here and the cashier was super accommodating and sweet. As an avid fixer upper of things I break and a hobby creator of things that can be modified around the house, I will be back for sure!! read more

It's nice they opened a HF in Alhambra. I used to have to go to Pasadena for HF but now I can drive about four miles away in the next city and shop at HF. The store looks great from an ascetic point of view from the outside. Love their color scheme they painted outside. As you may have guessed that inside the store being new is nice and well organized and clean. The store has what I am looking for at the prices that I want to pay. The staff is friendly and helpful. The parking lot is so so sized but I know they cannot help that because that the size it was before they moved in and cannot be helped so I won't knock them for that.. So far been there about 7 times since they opened and had no trouble parking but too bad it isn't bigger a little. I highly recommend this store. read more

I came to this harbor freights on 3/12/23 and I came around closing time. The (assumed) manager was absolutely horrible. She was very rude to customers and very rude to her employees. She was yelling at one guy to close the doors at 6 and got mad when he closed the wrong door. Then every time someone would need to leave she would yell at him to go open it up, even if he was in the middle of a transaction. This happened multiple multiple times. Then I had to wait for extra change and we needed the manager's assistance on getting the extra change. I waited probably 8 minutes before she helped get our change. There was Avery long line of about maybe 10 people and a few people were making rude comments to staff and the manager did absolutely nothing about it. While she got my change from a different register she was talking to the lady who helped me check out like she was talking AGAIN very rudely to my cashier, making faces at them, acting like her employees were the stupidest people on the planet. I felt absolutely terrible for these employees who had probably been there all day and just wanted to leave. I walked in there with the mindset of asking about a job but my mind was quickly changed by the rude (assumed) manager. read more

I always come here to this harbor freight since it opened in late December. Once in a while I see this women named Giny which I believe is the store manager she always has the same horrible attitude to her customers imagine to her employees. I never write reviews but this one time I have too. This particular day I wanted to warranty an item I was told I did not have to keep my receipt that it can be found with my account. This lady Giny told me that the item was not found on my account and it also was not on the receipt that she pulled up on register which was correct for some reason. But she was rude for no reason. That was the first visit came back about an hour later there with no receipt the item was found on the account so was able to warranty the item. Low prices, atrocious customer service. Straight !ots-idi I was waiting in line ready to pay but there was a gentleman at the counter asking question after question. There was a guy right behind him waiting as well. The phone rang and Einstein was researching something for the guy on the phone as well. After about 20 minutes, line is bigger but no other cashiers. Then genius finally called another cashier. The other rocket scientist comes then gets on the phone and starts a never ending conversation that ends up with the brain surgeon finally figuring out the caller thought he was calling home depot. What are they putting in the water ovrr there? Make the people on the phone wait. Provide good service to the customers that are intelligent enough to figure out what they need on their own. Use your noodle for once. If you upset the person on the phone, chances are likely that they are not making a purchase anyway. Then when I was finally helped, the cashier tried to sound like she's great at customer service by being overly aggressive and loud trying to get my address so they can flood my mailbox with junk mail. If you want to provide excellent customer service maybe provide me with a quick and convenient way to pay for my items. read more
