    Won't honor pricr

Better watch out with the management at this place. The supervisor here wouldn't honor their price mistake on 2 items. They are baiting ppl with these horrible labels and won't honer pricing. Need to call weight and measure on these guys as this is a total bait and switch.

I have been coming to Harbor Freight Tools for years shopping for things for the house, car and other things. Harbor Freight Tools have popping out everywhere I notice this one in Alhambra at old office depot building and now Harbor Freight Tools took over that nice much closer to home.

    Good deals!

I was at Home Depot right before coming here, I just needed a couple of things kinda late at night, and one of the things was a steel brush, the one at Home Depot was really small and almost $5, I just couldn't pay that knowing that the dollar tree has it for $1.25. So I figured I'll get it in the morning, while driving home I passed this store and saw they were open, and what do you know they have the steel brush for 99cents even cheaper than the dollar store. Haha They have really great prices here and the cashier was super accommodating and sweet. As an avid fixer upper of things I break and a hobby creator of things that can be modified around the house, I will be back for sure!!

Pretty entrance lol I love this store

Great service, low prices, excellent hardware selection…read more The staff at Altadena Hardware are friendly, helpful, and much more knowledgeable than big box stores. They will ask you about the project you're doing, and help find the right products and materials to fit the application of your work. Need to attach something to something else? They will guide you through the a-la-carte screws, nails, nuts, and bolts with expertness, making sure that the style, strength, and size of the hardware fits your project's needs. The prices for most items are competitive with big box stores-- items like PVC pipe, wood filler, and hardware are cheaper at Altadena Hardware in a side-by-side comparison to big box stores. If you purchase materials like wood or pipe, they can cut it for you for transport! The selection of paint, hardware, garden supplies, light bulbs, power tools, adhesives, and most other typical household hardware needs are excellent. Based on size, they don't stock as much lumber or appliances as big box stores. Very helpful -- they do cartridge exchange for Soda Stream!! And have many options of Soda Stream flavorings. They also sell local honey up at the cash register! Altadena Hardware is my first choice for hardware needs!

This is kind of long, but I want to warn neighbors who might be looking for new appliances anytime…read moresoon. TLDR: Don't make Home Depot your first choice. And if you do, don't trust their haul-away service. After our refrigerator broke, we immediately went to Home Depot to find a replacement. We waited for the scheduled delivery date and for haul-away service we paid for for the old refrigerator. The delivery people brought the new fridge in and took the old fridge out. We thought everything was settled. Wrong. Imagine our surprise when someone passing by your house asked us whether we knew there was a fridge outside our house. We checked outside and, sure enough, our old fridge had been ditched on the sidewalk. Well, part of the old fridge. The main body of the fridge was gone, but the doors, shelves, and drawers were strewn about, with much of the plastic and glass shattered and scattered. Apparently, the delivery crew had taken the old fridge out to the street and decided to only take part of the fridge. Or maybe they had left the entire thing, and someone else had come to take part of it and trash the rest. Either way, there was now a hazardous mess on the sidewalk and street. Confused, we called Home Depot and explained the situation. We were told that the delivery crew had decided not to take our old fridge after all, citing an odor as their reason. What the heck? Why hadn't they just come back to the front door to let us know they weren't taking the fridge? If they were going to back out of the agreement we had paid for, why not at least let us know? Also, guess why the old fridge had an odor in the first place. Because it took Home Depot three tries to send us a fridge that could actually fit through our doorway, despite us supplying exact measurements. Therefore, instead of being replaced by a new fridge and hauled away immediately, the broken fridge was sitting there for over a week. Of course it had a weird smell! Anyways, back to the phone call. Appliance support told us that the delivery crew had changed their minds and there was nothing they could do except give us a refund of the haul-away service. Okay, thanks. But what about the illegal dumping of appliance parts on a busy sidewalk? Nope, said appliance support. There was nothing they could do about that. Too bad, so sad, pay someone else to come get it. Now, why on earth would the customer have to pay to haul away trash that a company had dumped illegally after it was already in their possession? I have no freaking clue. One thing I do know though is that I am NOT buying appliances from Home Depot ever again. Who knows? Maybe they'll next arbitrarily decide to break the five year warranty we paid for without telling us.
