Literally every employee could not be bothered to actually help me find a simple board to make a sign with my daughters. They did not offer to help lift a huge piece of ply wood and or direct me to an intended small board (which I came to find they had after purchasing said huge plywood.) when I expressed discontent that they had not helped me look for the appropriate size board, the guy shrugged his shoulders and said "oh well". Then the checker proceeded to give attitude about his machine that was not working and continued to ask for more forms of payment when in fact the first card worked. This is not the local hardware experience I remember growing up and I'm worried for the next generation and the low bar in which apparently Home Depot holds. In the end - I had to leave said massive board because I received no help and couldn't get in my car and was told I couldn't come back to pick it up. What kind of world are we living in? Stopping by The Home Depot in Bothell today, Friday 17 November 2023, a little before 10:00 a.m. I found a busy parking lot. Going with a spot a little up in one aisle, I parked my car and made my way inside. The entrance doors and exit doors were clearly marked and moderate speed in sliding. Once inside the door, I found my way towards the outdoor section. The last aisle before the door to the outdoor items housed outdoors looked like it had some outdoors-related items, so I turned. Looking over the offerings I found food for birds and squirrels, but not the ear corn straight away. A couple of workers in the aisle asked if I needed help finding anything and I asked if they had ear corn. One directed me to the exact bin. Very helpful. There were three bags left! I had checked ahead online the day before and they had five, I was so happy they had not sold out already. Opting to leave one of the bags for someone else, I grabbed two of the remaining bags. Making my way to the self checkout area, I found it to be well marked and easy to spot. The line was shorter and was not slow moving. The workers at the check out area were also friendly. Checking out was straightforward and they had a hand held scanner for scanning the item barcodes. Payment went without incident as well. All around a good/enjoyable shopping experience. read more

Couldn't get any help and got attitude instead, thanks a lot dude next time instead of being little kid help your customers out. there was an employee doing work RIGHT BEHIND where we were standing and were trying to get some help and that employee ignored us and even made eye contact with my partner twice! this is ridiculous do better home depot! read more

For a home owner or business owner, Home Depot is THE worst place to buy tools since they implemented their new 7 day return policy. I bought a Dewatt pressure washer from this location mid July, within 4 days the screws were coming out of the frame so I went around and tightened all of the and moved on. On the tenth day of having this POS the engine stopped running altogether. After much complaining to the frontend they just swapped me out a new one. Fast forward two and a half weeks later it literally fell apart and stopped working. Not only will they not swap it out again, they will not honor Dewatt's warranty. When calling Dewatt, they said it is the retailer's job to honor the warranty. So now I have a non working pressure washer not even a month old that is ready for the trash. Not only did they charge me for an install that was totally wrong, and not do anything about it because of their manager, but the GE stove they sold me wouldn't even work on the broiler setting, which I didn't discover until after their lame 2-day window when we went to make nachos, but GE warranty has now taken 5 times, with no-shows included, to fix what should be a simple issue. I took my nephew's sons to Home Depot today, Sunday, May 18 at approximately 10:30 am to introduce them to Home Depot and prepare them to be good handy men. However, the first thing they heard as we passed the customer service counter was unprofessional language. Specifically, the f word and the s word coming from weight challenged people working behind the customer service counter. It was so disappointing to hear after church. Awful to say the least. Home Depot has always been about "improvement" and recently the stores have improved due to a fresh take on customer service, better check out times and improved inventory control. This store has lots of dust which is an irritant including silica and carcinogens. Also makes items hard to find as they are obscured in dust. Sadly this used to a 4 star store until recently. On my last visit I found that all the cashiers aside from the Pro Desk were replaced by self checkout machines. To add insult to injury they put a camera in your face as well as a monitor... with your face on it. So long local HD, thankfully Lowes isn't much further away. If I wanted to self checkout I'd just do it on Amazon Prime from the comfort of my chair and have it delivered. This is the worst Home Depot I've ever been to. It's very difficult to find someone who knows what they are talking about or where things are. If you do find someone, they usually have a very poor attitude, almost condescending. From my observation, the bald manager escalates situations negatively without provocation, disrespects customers, and handles stressful situations poorly. Replacing or retraining him would be a start to get this store back up to par. Like the gentlemen said before, they have ten checkout stations setup to make you feel like you're a thief. You're watched by three employees and then a camera feed right in your face. If you need something right away, support local businesses and shop at McLendon's right down the road. Home Depot are fairly consistent across different stores. They tend to provide much of our home repair needs. Their layouts tend to be the same, so that is convenient to find things since it is never so easy to locate help. Repair stores are one of the few places open during the COVID-19 shutdown. Like many others, we have projects to do around the house and needed supplies. This HD was one of the first places we had gone when the 6 feet rule was instituted. We were pleasantly surprised to see staff outside manage people count/flow via walkie-talkies at the enter and exit doors. (All other entrances are blocked including gardening.) The entrance had 6 feet wait markers. Alas, there are many more customers in line than there are markers as the lines grew long. Once you're inside, I found it to be one of the better shopping experiences ever in HD. There were much, much fewer people then the normal weekend. It was also easier to find someone to help find things. So there is a bonus to waiting outside after all. read more

The employees at this location act as if you are bothering them when you ask for help. The ONLY reason you have a job is because customers need service (you are in the customer service industry). The people at the Customer Service station are always having their own personal conversations and do the very BARE minimum to huff and puff to "kind of" point you in the right direction of a product you want to buy, even when you approach them nicely and wait for them to finish their personal conversation about "moving here from California". You will always feel like YOU, the customer, is an inconvenience at this location. They also have 10 self checkout lines where 3 employees will watch you LIKE A HAWK as you ring up your purchases. They talk to each other and never acknowledge you or offer to help you. You feel like a thief, as you're being watched by the employees and a live feed camera on the register. I can get the same items, without feeling like I'm the problem, from Amazon. What happened to customer service and taking pride in your job? This location is awful. read more

We rented a truck from there. The price was great. The bed of the truck was filthy and the truck was 1/8 full with fuel. 22 miles left on the tank. I was lucky to have bought plastic cover for the trip. I had to lay that down before the mattress. We had to worry about filling up the truck before making our pick up. Running on fumes. read more

This store like other Homedepot stores sell Ryobi tools with a warranty but when you try to use the warranty they give you the run around, after several trips to the Homedepot stores and calling Ryobi to get help they finally take the item In telling you 8-10 weeks before they can even look at it and then it will be sent out for repair. Are annoyed when approached, 2. Offer to get you assistance in a specific section that never shows up since somehow no one ever seems to work in the area they are found in or 3. Update - Jim really helped me out this weekend figuring out a 3/8 to 1/2in faucet supply line adaptor - having a good picture and explaining correctly what i needed was the hard part (i'm terrible) - thanks JIM!! Update - the team in the paint dept really shine - helpful, quick. The flowers out front in June are spectacular! And I gotta mention, during winter monsoons, my crawlspace flooded - luckily someone said "rent a pump from home depot" and their rental dept hours are same as the store - I rented a great pump for $50, did the job, friendly knowledgeable people there too! My only wish is that we start finding ways to distribute/buy/sell materials and items without using earth-killing plastics. Especially god-awful blister packs (why are LED light bulbs in blister packs when fragile incandescent used to come in cardboard?) Home Depot could demand their suppliers become more earth-friendly. HOWEVER, we had a truly delightful experience with Jerome at the Bothell Home Depot. He is literally THE first ever HD store associate whom we felt was truly customer-centric, empathetic and willing to go above and beyond to help customers. We had an issue with a Ryobi tool we bought and he promptly resolved it. We saw how his other colleagues relied on him for advice/customer questions too. This review is about Romanoff Renovations, a sub-contractor with Home Depot for floor installation. The first thing that the crew did is increase the volume of the music. I asked them to please make it softer. This was a condominium with neighbors living there full time. They left the volume lower for about 5 minutes then increased it, resulting in complaints by several neighbors. The project manager did not seem to have good supervision of his crew. The job site was not prepped well, being that no furniture was not covered and everything was left with a coating of dust. The crew seemed inexperienced for the most part. About 5 men were on site, some seemed as if they had not put wood floors down before. The behavior of the crew was mostly unprofessional. One man seemed determined to fight and was constantly trying to be argumentative. Another bragged about what he had accomplished in the bathroom, not related to the floor. Overall, the floor was not installed well. The edges were uneven, and baseboard trim that was too large was used to cover mistakes. A problem was encountered in the kitchen where the concrete under the tile that they were removing crumbled. They cleaned up the crumbled concrete and told me to find someone to fix the floor. They then walked off the job, leaving the condo in an unlivable mess. I called the support number and was told to check the internet for someone to fix the floor. In this work climate, it was impossible to find someone to finish the floor. I called Home Depot, looking for a referral or some suggestion on how to get my floor repaired. No one returned my called. Any joy in getting a new floor was erased. I do not recommend this experience to anyone. read more

This is regarding Home Depot's carpet purchasing, measurement, and installment. All these things are done by three different entities. When one makes an error (in our case incorrect measurement), the whole system becomes an impossible mess with which to make headway. Here is the letter I wanted to send, but alas I've yet to find someone to send it to: To whom it may concern, I am writing to inform you of my recent experience of purchasing a carpet from Home Depot (HD). My wife and I spent an afternoon looking at carpet at HD in Bothell, Washington. We paid $50.00 to schedule a measurement. We took home several samples to see which one we liked. We selected the carpet. A measurement was scheduled. Our project was measured. We were sent a quote. We accepted and put the full balance on our HD credit card. The day of installation came (07/17/2024). I had already pulled out all the old carpet and padding, rolled them up, and placed the rolls outside on pallets. I did this because I wanted to be sure the subflooring was good to go for the installation. The installers came and proceeded to put down the tack strips and the pad. After the pad was laid, we were told that the measurements on the diagram were incorrect, and they were not given enough carpet to do the installation correctly. They left, and we waited to hear from HD. We were unable to reach anyone who was able to help us and update us on when the installation would take place. After a week of waiting, and calling, and listening to robotic messages, and being sent to the wrong person (the plumbing department) we were finally able to get a date to have our project remeasured, a full two weeks past our initial installation date. Measurement II=was scheduled for 07/31/2024. We received a confirmation email. We confirmed. We were told we would get a phone call on the morning of the measurement, between 7am and 9am, to give us our two hour window. 9:05 came and there was no phone call. I called the Need Help number (844-316-0210). Was told our measurement had been cancelled and a reschedule would another two weeks. I informed the person I was speaking with that we had already ordered and paid for the carpet. This was supposed to be a re-measurement because the first one was not correct. She connected me to the HD store where I purchased the carpet and the cycle began again. Later that same day, 07/31/2024, I went to the HD store where I'd purchased the carpet and asked for a refund. I initially also asked that they come out and remove the pad and tack strips. This was denied. My dogs have been stung by the tacks multiple times. This is a long complaint. I tried to cut back on some of the fine details, like being told at 5:30pm by the service desk at the store, "It's 5:30! Anyone who can help you with this problem has gone home." This after spending the afternoon trying to get through to someone, anyone that could give me more information about our cancelled installation due to measurement errors. Not sure that this letter will do any good. A big company like HD does not have to personally respond to customers. You can let your hellish phone system take care of that. There were too many chefs in the kitchen. The carpet is purchased at Home Depot, then the measurement is contracted out to someone else, then the installation is contracted out to another business. These three entities do not communicate well with each other, and very, very little with the customer, when there is a breakdown with one of the responsible entities as there was with our order. No one knows who has the answers or even who to call to get the answers. Each entity passes the buck to the next. Communication with us was at best poor. I've had a lot of good experiences shopping at HD, and I have had some very helpful folks point me in the right direction when I needed it. But this experience has been a walk-through customer service hell. We will need carpeting for the upstairs of our house in the fall. I will not be purchasing it through Home Depot. I will also make sure I discourage others from buying carpet at HD, because if there is a problem, you are up a creek without a paddle and no help coming. Thank you for your time, read more

To be clear, I've never purchased appliances here. I see from the reviews that Home Depot has issues in that regard. On to what I really like about this location. First of all, it's in an area where you don't have to worry about panhandlers or drug addicts roaming the parking lot begging for "gas" money. You also don't have to worry about coming back to your car to find your window bashed in. Both have happened to me at the Home Depot's in Shoreline and Highway 99 in Everett. Panhandling and very sketchy people are a real problem at the Everett location. So, that's not really about Home Depot, more of a society problem, but it effects where I go. Onto the review of the actual store. I almost always find what I want, I love their garden department, the prices are great, the selection is good. I buy a lot of heavy things - like bags of compost, and I usually find help when I need it. When I need a tool I've always found help if I didn't have my resident tool expert with me that is. Though, once, when he was fixing the kitchen sink the plumping department guy gave him bad advice - thank god he understood it was bad advice and didn't take it because he was already in a bad mood about fixing the plumbing! LOL. Many years ago I had carpet installed in my family room, but it was through the Home Depot in Shoreline. It was a disaster. I'll never go through them again for things like that. But when it's something that I can handle, I love the Home Depot, I'm there 3 or 4 times a month actually. read more

I recently moved and have been here multiple times. Too many times that I'm willing to admit. That being said, I found Home Depot's prices to be more affordable than nurseries and even local hardware stores. The only real negative thing I have to say is that for the high number of employees floating around, I'm always passed onto another that "should know more". Also, if an item is listed as "in stock" but isn't on the shelf it should be on, then it is on a palette on an upper level shelf that an employee needs to access--this can take a while depending on how busy they are. read more

Went here to pickup my order and the customer service was terrible. They pushed me to the side while waiting in line because they didn't want to help me. I finally get my order and get to my car and realize it's the wrong items. I went back in and they "lost" the right items and didn't have more. Then made up some stuff saying the deal wasn't actually valid anymore. So I left empty handed and wasted about 30 minutes dealing with their terrible customer service. read more

I try to avoid this store if at all possible but my latest experience deserves a big, fat negative review. A few months ago I ordered a pressure washer online to be picked up at the Bothell HD. Since I paid online, all I needed to do was pick it up from the holding area in the store and take it home. I spoke to the employee at the desk and he pointed to what was obviously a store return that someone had opened, tried operating, didn't like, then attempted to shove back into the box and tape it up, hose and wand protruding, box destroyed, etc. and told me that was the item. I responded that I had paid full price for a brand new item and that that's what I expected. He responded incredulously, repeatedly telling me "It's brand new. There's nothing wrong with it." I went to the shelves, found the item in a factory sealed box, came back to the desk and told the employee that I wanted that item. He refused, saying the used item was the one I had purchased. He was angry with me and this was clearly becoming a test of wills. I requested to speak to a manager and when one finally arrived, he asked me why I wasn't willing to take home the used item. I told him I had paid full price and wanted a factory-sealed box which contained all necessary items in unused condition. I told him I found the correct, new item on the shelf. He accompanied me to the item's location, informing me that he wanted to make sure I didn't take the wrong item (IOW, make sure I didn't steal the more expensive pressure washer sitting next to it). If you order online for pick up, make sure you get what you paid for. This store will try to get rid of used merchandise via online transactions. I get it...it's a big box hardware store with almost little to no help! It's always busy and you'll never see an orange apron roaming the aisles offering expertise. Unless you work in the trades, you're never going to find what you're looking for or get help to ask! But.......I'll share a little secret. They have the BEST clearance section for plants in the nursery! I bought all of these plants in the photo for $25! 3 large geraniums, 2 potted freesias and 4 6-packs of petunias. Major score. Last year, I bought $2 pots of lavender that are at least 2 feet tall in the yard now! Little by little, my yard is becoming more colorful. Every Spring, I lurk in the clearance section so I can make my patio look beautiful on a shoe-string budget. So, if you don't mind waiting seasonally, Home Depot will always come thru with some great bargains for your garden. read more

I am writing this review for my dad who visited this store today 5/12/2020. My dad is a contractor and works hard to make ends meeting especially during this pandemic. He was in the contractor line (as he has been most days of the week) to buy supplies. The supervisor (Sig Richardson) was letting a bunch of contractor into the store but decides to stop my dad for no apparent reason. He asks to see his contractor ID number which my dad gives him right away, he's given this number before. The supervisor then tells him this is incorrect and starts to yell at him and prevent him from entering in through the contractor line. Mind you, my dad has given this number before with no trouble. This supervisor was letting many others in without checking their IDs. Somehow he decides to stop my dad but not anyone else? Its hard not to assume it's because my dad is Asian and that the supervisor was being racist. In this time of pandemic, this is the last thing my dad should have to deal with when he is literally just trying to make a living. Shame on you. read more

I placed an order for pick up on Saturday around noon. Didn't get anything by Sunday afternoon so I called. First call: "thanks for calling, please hold" *hangs up on me* Second/third/fourth call: bouncing around to people who pick up because customer service won't pick up On the fifth or sixth call, calls were tried a little while after the previous, I get someone. I ask them how long it takes until items are ready for pick up since I haven't got a notification in over twenty four hours. They tell me the store isn't busy and to come in thinking I'm asking how busy their store is overall. I say no I'm waiting on my order notification. They ask for my order number and tell me "oh your order isn't ready yet". Well I figured that. That wasn't what I was asking. I was asking for a timeframe. She then proceeds to flip the script and say how busy they are after just telling me they're not busy... Anyways, it's 48 hours later and I have yet to receive an update on my order. I wish I could have something nice to say about Home Depot besides the prices are decent. read more

Here is how this plus out now. We have been shopping here for years and always had good service and good policies. Common sense was something you could rely on so they were always the go to. That is now gone. My son purchased some lights for a remodel, two different styles. He decided he wanted all of one kind so asked if I could exchange the other ones out for the other style. Now, here is where service is gone and common sense gone... I brought the 6 lights back (all new in boxes untouched ) and wanted to exchange them for the 6 other lights (that are more expensive I might add). No receipt or original card they will do NOTHING. They actually told me I was declined from returning as if I was a criminal. These are on their shelves right now and they could have made this easy and saved a customer. It's these kinds of policies and lack of service that happen when a company is about to go under because they need to get rid of inventory.
