One of the only two Home Depot stores in Cape Coral so it was extremely busy. Love the Italian Sausage food truck in the parking lot for hungry customers. Since this area is booming, most of the customers were construction crews gathering materials. They offer a rental shop for large equipment and trucks. Purchased several cement construction blocks for $2.17 each. Checkout was quick and used a complimentary steel dolly for transport to the truck. read more

On April 29, 2026 I went to Home Depot to purchase a stove. I was provided a CUSTOMER RECEIPT with a balance due of 0 (zero) and I have a (POS) point-of-sale deduction from my bank account. On Friday, May 1, 2026 I called to verify the delivery date of May 2, 2026 when I spoke to the manager at store #6975 G. Torres, I was informed that the order did NOT exist and it was only in the system as a QUOTE. She asked me to email her my CUSTOMER RECEIPT and the POS that was deducted from my bank to her which I did, G. Torres again informed me that there was no order in their system and that it was a quote and if I WANTED the product, even though she had been provided a PAID IN FULL receipt and the PROOF of payment from my bank, I would have to come in and pay for the product again. I was told by G. Torres nothing she could do and I needed to GET my money back from bank. I also sent an email to Customer Care and they also told me to talk to my bank nothing they could do to help. The sales girl id #VE7DRAL at the time of my transaction was involved in a personal conversation with another employee, FAILURE happens when you don't pay attention G. Torres FAILED as a manager to follow through to find out what the actual problem was after being provided a PAID RECEIPT and a point of sale Bank transaction. Both the manager and the sales girl need to be retrained or replaced. I went to their competitor Lowe's purchased the same exact stove at a cheaper price. On August 18th...i was told FRESH SOD was going to come in. .I had 1 single simple question later in the day: "has the fresh batch of sod come in yet? "... Four different calls and nearly 1 hour of wait time with one of those calls being disconnected after 10 minutes... How hard is it to find someone to answer that question? Terrible experience and very rude customer service representative. We ordered a new front door in December of 2024 - we still have yet to have it installed after multiple delays. We were told it would take 2-3 months for the total project. When I called to get some type of assistance as I still do not have an install date I was told I signed a contract so I have to deal with it. Cannot cancel the order because it was a custom door and if I want to get someone else to install I have to eat the permit fee of 27t - tough the permit in actuality only costs 85.00 and I'd be out the installation fee we paid. Truly the customer service representative at this store was one of the most vile individua I have encountered and I am shocked she has a job. Holy lord. Firstly, why is there only one garden center employee? There were 5 people in line. I counted 9 different Home Depot employees just wandering about in the garden center. Then the one poor employee apparently broke the register, so they told everyone to go inside to check out. Mind you the majority of us had heavy heavy garden stuff. It has literally been 40 min of this poor employee stranded at his broken register holding a customer hostage pretty much since it's her transaction and not one supervisor or person in charge or other employee has stepped up to the second register to get anything moving. Between this kind of service and no curbside Lowe's is winning imo. Off to Lowe's! read more

I found the store staff to be friendly and helpful. While this location is usually very busy, it's worth the stop. I like this store. So, uh, I blocked the toilet in my Mom's apartment. And she's just moved in so there's no plunger. On a Saturday at 7:00 PM when I have a super early flight tomorrow morning. What to do, what to do? Well, the Home Depot is open until 10 PM and this meant I was able to rush out, grab the tool, head home, and not leave THAT for my Mom. Easy to find in the plumbing aisle, a variety of options from cheap to middle to higher-end. I got the one that "hides" the plunger piece so that it's almost decorative. What a mess. This store has got to be the filthiest in the entire chain. I can't believe how dirty the store is. Their inventory is so depleted, customers are rooting through the incoming inventory in the aisles before it can get into the shelves. Today I stopped in to find a few pieces of aluminum soffit material. While walking past the checkout register I saw a fellow buying a cart full (100+ pieces) of the exact material I needed. So I figured they had plenty. When I got to the appropriate aisle I saw 0 inventory and 3 other groups looking for the same soffit material. I find 0 inventory on so many items. Why is this store so badly managed? We had a Hurricane here 5 months ago so I expect some items to be short but we all know that HD has their own distribution network and has more resources than anybody to fill their own supply chain. So I was exchanging a grill today between 430 and 5. We asked them if they could take one of the shelves off because it didn't fit into our car. They asked one of the associates Joshua who was lovely. So while he was fumbling to find a screwdriver. None of his coworkers helped him even look for a screwdriver. They stood there on their phones and let him struggle looking for a screwdriver. Amelia if I got her name correct was going to her other Co-worker showing her their phones. While Joshua was struggling to take the screws off of the grill. Since Joshua was struggling so much, we asked if there was somebody else that can help. So they called over some older lady with short hair and then when she came over she said you guys called me over for this. When that older lady with the short hair said that I got fed up and pissed off and took the grill outside. Drove all the way home and got an electric drill and did it myself. I think that it is totally unfair that Joshua had to deal with the situation himself, and there was no effort from the other team members. And they were like six other people there. It makes no sense. And then it makes no sense that they didn't even have a screwdriver or power tools in Home Depot. It was horrible customer service. Amelia, you need to put your phone down. This is a job. If she is training all those people up front I feel sorry for them. She has a very poor attitude. read more

She searched the entire store (including being sent to lumber from garden and back) and found what I needed. I spent $920 on a product that was incorrectly ordered by an associate. I was willing to accept the mistake so long as amends were to be made. However I was told that if I signed for an incorrect delivery, that it was mine to keep. They offered to discount $150 because that was the difference in cost. That is unacceptable. It was not the product I paid for or let alone wanted. The only person available for the delivery was my 75 year old grandfather who didn't even have enough time to look at the product before the delivery drivers took off. I am appalled at how this situation has been handled. We still have the incorrect product and have to wait for an authorization to take place in order for the product to be returned which is absolutely ridiculous. We have always shopped at Home Depot for all of our home needs but after this situation we cannot afford to go through this again. read more

I have always tried to avoid buying anything on amazon, but lately the lack of professionalism at this Home Depot on Skyline has driven me to purchase outside our area (bad for the local economy} and eventually bad for Home Depot. He was so friendly and helpful. He made it his mission to find those filters, and it wasn't easy! After finding us the correct filters, we found out he works in the lumber department! Set up an appointment for new PGT impact windows. Nine months later and many work vacation days wasted waiting on them to show up when scheduled we have 30k worth of impact windows with no beauty rings and unmatching crooked grey screws sloppily holding the windows in. Better yet .. yesterday the rain came in and the water literally poured down my brand new interior paint, drywall and furnishings. This was a two minute storm and if we weren't home I can't fathom the mess we would have come home to after an actual rain storm much less a hurricane. My 40 year old windows didn't leak! These are a month old and I'm literally terrified as to what's going to happen next. I'm supposed to trust these in 175mph? We have called incessantly and they promise the vendor will correct but we've never been contacted. Please do yourself a favor and DO not buy your impact windows through this company or you'll also be paying for an attorney. I will be back with more photos of the screws! Cape Coral Home Depot on Skyline I have been at many Home Depots all over the country, this is one of the worse. There is never any carts - maybe some grocery type carts but if you need a flatbed or anything else for drywall. You are on you're own. Also no help with putting anything in your car/truck. The Pro section is a joke where everyone parks their truck and leaves it there for hours. There is someone who says they call for help but no one comes. The aisles are stuff with items that need to be put away - I wish Menards was in town. At least they know how to service people especially for drywall. read more

Went to this Home Depot yesterday. I have always seen dogs in there. There was a guy with THREE dogs in his shopping cart. Nothing else in cart. Sign on door entrance said service dogs only/no pets. There were no markings on the dogs to that effect. On the way out I heard the dogs continuously barking. I also saw a girl exiting with a dog in her arms. Time was approx 12:45pm-1PM. I guess it wasn't as bad as the dog I saw in a shopping cart at Winn Dixie recently. Next time I will take pictures. read more

We have had a delay for our countertop installation now pushing 3 weeks from measurement. We were instructed to call ahead of cabinet installation time to have measurements completed and were notified that they could not come to measure when cabinets were completed, it would take an additional 3 days after completion. At time of purchase we were notified that countertops would take 5-7 days. At time of measurement, delayed, we were notified it would take 10-14 days. Measurement date 11/1/18, now 11/17/18 we are delayed additional time at minimum to Monday 11/19/18. I would like an administrator to contact us, no one is available today. To discuss options for installation today or discount from our bill. Please respond at your earliest convenience. Message left for admin to call will see how long to respond. The remainder of the project has gone well but would plan to not have a kitchen for 4+ weeks. Could have been coordinated much better. read more

This is my first time ever writing a review as I've never bothered either way good or bad. Although, my service was so rancid and unbelievably I have to share. Long and short, ordered carpet for installation and the entire operation from start to finish was the most unprofessional efforts on Home Depots part that I've ever encountered. Paid in full for carpet/install ahead of time, they did not up hold there end of carpet removal and furniture move which we paid for ahead of time, we had to do it ( we are a business so the job was time sensitive as we had to close for business) . When we tried to get our refund for work we completed (not them as we paid) they tried to short change us and when we wanted our full refund they treated us as if we were trying to get more money than what was owed to us. When they did install carpet, it showed up with a defect but we had No choice as a business to just get it laid, we had to reopen for business!! when we hoped they would make right on the defected carpet.... nope!!! So advice... NEVER USE HOME DEPOT FOR CARPET INSTALLATION!!! FYI... they sub out the install, the workers who laid carpet were very nice and felt horrible for what Home Depot put us through, but as the sub contractor they weren't able to help. $2000.00 later we lost 3 days of work, ripped up carpet ourselves, moved all furniture 4x and was left with defected carpet. I would have to agree with the previous yelper. This location is just like the Punta Gorda location. It is clean, organized, and has great service. I immediately walked in and was looking for a specific item. A gentleman walked right up to me (because I obviously looked a little lost lol). He asked me what I was looking for and even asked me what I was buying the item for. He lead me to the right department, grabbed the item for me, and told me a little bit about it. It was an awesome experience and I walked out with a smile on my face. I love the hardware stores where the employees have the knowledge to help. It is so refreshing and great. Poor customer service and Bryan the manager was inconsiderate, rude, and refused to give my father a return while my father had a receipt. There is no policy where you NEED ID to return an item and it was ridiculous and embarrassing since we are frequent shoppers with this store. The lady who had this shift tonight at the return desk embarrassed my father and refused to give him anything in return, meanwhile having a line of customers behind us. We will never be returning here as this was the spot to go to for our hardware needs. They were racial profiling at the scene of where he tried to make a return, and the manager was very rude and loud commenting how there was nothing he could do. The lady packed up my dads belonging with a nasty look and refused to speak to him. Whoever decides to go here and shop at this location, you'll probably get treated better if you're Caucasian and will probably get the best customer service unlike us folks who are multi-racial with slightly darker skin. I will never buy an appliance from Home Depot again. I purchased a Fridgidaire refrigerator and it worked for 3 days. When it went out, Home Depot told me I had to go through the manufacturer for a warranty service call, that I could not return the refrigerator to Home Depot. It took 3 weeks for the service center to send a repair man. He said it had a leak in the sealed system and he could not fix it. It will be another 28 days before they can send someone out who is qualified to diagnose the sealed system issue. Then I will have to wait again until they send someone to fix it. It will be about 3 months total without a refrigerator before it is fixed. They don't tell you all of this when you are buying an appliance. read more

The downside to this Home Depot is that they never seem to carry everything we need. Mainly sizes, but sometimes actual items.
