I have had the best luck at this Home Depot as compared to others. They seem to be very helpful here and always have enough people on staff. That might be as much a function of when I am going as I avoid that place like the plague on the weekends. read more

I'm going to Lowe's from now on, even though this particular Home Depot is 15 minutes closer to me than Lowes. The customer service is horrendous. I can never find what I'm looking for, and what's worse, the staff at Home Depot cannot help me either. They are constantly out of the item that I happen to be looking for. Today was the last straw. I wanted Durock. I stopped and asked one person and as soon as I said, "Excuse me I'm looking for..." he interrupted me and said, "I'm new here and I'm still learning" then he literally ran into the employees only section. I searched for another staff member to help me. I started with "I'm looking for Durock" to which she said, "What's that?" I responded that it's the brand name of sheet rock. She said she didn't think they had that. However, the customer she was helping said, "Durock and all the sheet rock are around aisle 2 or 3, at the other end, near lumbar." I thanked the customer and went on my way. I found the Durock where the fellow customer said it would be but it was being sold in huge sheets of 6'x6' and I really just needed about 6 square inches, not feet. I took the chance and asked another employee if they sold this in smaller sheets or if I had to buy 6 square feet and cut it down. She sent me to the other end of the store for something different. When I got there, it was still 6 square feet of some other material. Previous problems include not being able to match paint despite a guarantee otherwise, incorrectly made keys, and worst of all - employees who seem to run in the opposite direction as soon as they think you might need help. I am so done with this Home Depot. read more

Good experience shopping here due to SOME of the staff. We were in the process of installing hardwood floors and started ripping off current flooring after order was placed. Order was late, and we were never informed. The pricing was wrong, the product advertised was wrong, it was all just a big mess. Went into the store, and the guy could not have been any more ruder or nonchalant...he cursed at his screen while talking to us, vented about the problems going on, and turns out was the manager. However, we were then helped by Mike from then on and it all turned around. He kept us updated step by step of our order and the store manager, Anyae, even gave us a huge break for all our troubles. We continue to shop here and everyone is very helpful. read more

Very poorly trained and non courteous staff, especially their cabinet designer. Their costs are high and poor service. Staff is incapable of even setting an appointment and even less capable of honoring one. Select the closest Lowe's, they will give better attention and service. read more

I buy a lot of stuff there and there was not a single time when anyone was rude or uncaring. There never seems to be anyone working here when you need help. When you do find someone, they usually aren't helpful. Seems like they're always out of stock of whatever I go there for. Stopped going there to try to come up with useful solutions to problems because help is non-existent. Time is better spent watching you tube videos and ordering items online than trekking to the store. read more

This is my new favorite store. It's my local Home Depot. At times I had to go to nearby stores when items were out of stock, but everyone is very helpful and knowledgable. Great service and great prices. read more

I had an amazing experience at Home Depot in South Riding Virginia. I experienced less than satisfactory service and brought it to the attention of Ms. Bell, the store manager. She was called and promptly arrived with a note pad! Ms. Bell immediately introduced herself, apologized that I was experiencing difficulty, made notes as we talked then walked me to the department of concern. Prior to arrival at that department, Ms. Bell paged another amazing associate and the ball began to roll in my favor. Ms. Bell chose to remain with me through resolution. I appreciate the time and genuine interest she showed to ensure my concern was immediately handled. I can't thank Ms. Bell for her professionalism, leadership, kindness and genuine attention to resolving the matter. I am eternally grateful and highly recommend the South Riding Home Depot for your home improvement needs. It's well worth the trip. read more

I used to have good impression on this store until today. I was there for an online order pickup. The purpose I am sure everyone should agrees is: fast. The only purpose, paid online and come to store grab and go. However, I was there for 15 minutes and I left without picking up. BecAuse I cannot wait for another 15 minutes. A store employee was there using the pickup computer helping a customer to do research of products. Really? The homedepot does not have a dedicated computer for this purpose? Even I nicely asked the store employee if there is another way for me to pick up somewhere else, the answer I head really irritated me! "Don't you see we are using this computer now? It is going to take a while." I then quietly waited for another 5 minutes, and she left to check something else. So I have to leave because I am afraid I will start to argue with the employee. They may made that customer happy, but they really lost my trust. New year, new start, is this where homedepot is going on customer service and satisfaction guarantee? read more

It's really too bad there are not ratings lower than one star, because these guys don't deserve any. I literally just walked out the door there and felt compelled to relate my disastrous experience. I rolled in a bit after 6pm to get 2 gallons of paint - one guy in front of me. 15 mins later, it's finally time to order my paint - not sure why it takes that long, but who knows? Jeff tells me to give him 10 mins, there are 2 in front of my order. Now there are about 8-10 people behind me. I give them 20 mins to be safe - that was at 6:30. When I come back, a bunch of people there, but not my paint. I notice all of the people behind me getting their paint, but not me - weird, right? 7pm I finally get his attention and ask where mine is - guess where? You got it - still on the counter baby! Untouched! 3 more orders knocked out before me, I get handed mine at 7:30 - hour of waiting! Absolutely ridiculous - completely incompetent! Avoid at all costs unless you have a lot of time to waste... read more
