While walking out the front door I saw the clown leaning on the forklift talking to a blonde haired associate like if they were on break without a care in the world. When I ask for a supervisor, the supervisor said the same thing and when I mentioned Cynthia's negative tone, misinformation, and rude attitude the supervisor was just as rude. As far as Home Depot stores go, this one is actually pretty good. It's also the nearest to my house, so that's pretty good also! I have bought flowers here for the past few years. Maybe it has something to do with the flowers, but the cashiers in the garden section are usually very pleasant and helpful. Today was no exception. BTW, I was really thrilled to find two real live human being cashiers in the garden section. My recent experience with HD has been self-checkout only and did I mention that I was really thrilled to find live cashiers checking people out in the garden section?? No it's not a senior moment - - I'm just really thrilled and wanted to mention it a few times!! Anyway, my cashier today was Joanna and she was so patient, helpful and just downright delightful. The prices are not exactly obvious in some flower sections and although some flowers looked very similar, there was a $2 difference in price. I decided to leave the more expensive plants and went back to get more of the very similar, but $2 cheaper plants. Joanna was so nice about checking the price on each plant as she rang it up to make sure that I had picked up the right plants this time. Although I was able to find some very nice flowers, the selection this year was not quite as nice as previous years. Hopefully they will be getting some more variety in the next few weeks. Although my garden shop experience was very pleasant, I just don't feel comfortable giving more than 3 stars. I was a little annoyed trying to walk through the the front aisle that spans the store on my way to the restrooms. Navigating between customers is one thing, but two store associates were blocking the aisle as they carried on a conversation. THEY seemed a bit annoyed when I said "excuse me" as I tried to get thru - - guess I interrupted the conversation - - oh, well. As another reviewer mentioned, it is a rather congested parking lot. You really have to watch and be careful and patient as you walk or drive thru this HD parking lot. It's no Menards (one of my favorite store chains), but it's pretty decent for a Home Depot and convenient--oh, I think I said something like that that already. Ordered some flowers for planting, on-line with shipping. I do not drive and had no way to pick up the flowers so I was real glad to see this. I ordered some 4.25 Grande Superbells Dreamsicle (Proven Winners) for $31. The picture showed a large beautiful orange flowered plant. What I got was 4 little plants, 2 not even in the squashed pots, but laying in the bottom of the box. None of the plants had flowers. I called Home Depot Customer Service, could not understand the woman was put on hold for a bit then hung up on. So I planted the pathetic looking plants and hoped for the best. This place is quickly becoming my go to place daily. Anything you need for rehabbing properties, renovations to your own home, or just to buy detergent and water is here. This mega store has everything "home". I've been to many different locations but this one is more convenient and central to me. The staff are always friendly and ready to help. I've been surprised at times when a little old lady can help me with hardware information lol. Overall when I come here it is always a good experience. This review is for Xavier in plumbing. My mom and I were looking to replace our sump pump and he helped us compare the different pumps available. He was very knowledgeable and patient with us. We kept calling my grandfather to get measurements of the old pump. We even came back within an hour to ask more questions about an adaptor to connect the pipe and pump, and again received professional and friendly service. The pump has now been replaced. I came in here on a Saturday afternoon, looking for house plumbing items. It was pretty busy but at least there was someone in that aisle who was helping everyone.. I believe his name is Xavier? Instead of standing around cleaning he asked other customers if they needed help which was super nice to see. For once. I visited the Nursery to purchase a large quantity of merchandise. The cashier/ worker was pre-occupied with texting on her cell phone and became visibly perturbed when I asked for a few questions. After purchase she tossed my receipt in my cart with no thank you. I phoned the store and spoke with a manager Carlos who courteously apologized and assured me that he would address the issue immediately. I went in on 16FEB21 to purchase a few things for a project I'm on. I noticed that Home Depot claims they price match with ANY retailer, which can be found on their website. Last year alone, I have spent around 92k in material according to my books, 99% from this store. I asked if they the cashier who later identified herself as Darish. I didn't see her name tape so I couldn't verify. So I asked if she could price match a Wzye camera with Microcenter's physical store that is local. I was told that they only price match with Lowes and Menards. I pointed out that the company policy says ANY retailer. She said that it had to be a competitor, I replied with, " if both stores are selling the same product, they're competing". She then told me she didn't have time for me. That is when I decided to leave and contact customer service. Which they also said they only price match with local competitors which is really confusing now. I can't trust a company that can't honor something so simple as their own company policy. I have decided to look at other competitors to complete my projects and only visit this store for some products. This place has convinced me to never go to Home Depot again, any of them. I went in to get propane (only because the gas station down the street doesn't have any) and couldn't find anyone to ask what to do to exchange the tank. I finally asked someone on break. They said the check-out person would help me. They took my money and I waited. And waited. And waited. 20 minutes later, I waited in line at the service desk and complained. What did my complaint accomplish? The "serviice desk" woman "Raquel" threatened to have me escorted out of the store. Again, I will never shop at any Home Depot again. read more

I visited home depot 8/8/2019 to purchase a few items. When I first pulled into the parking lot I saw more than 15 guys soliciting work. I found that to be a safety issue. I entered the store and proceeded to shop for my items. Once I found 4 of my items I asked one of the employees where could I find the buckets. She told me but I noticed two guys watching me one with glasses and the other with a Atlanta braves hat on slightly turned to the left if I'm correct. So I proceeded to get my last item but the two gentleman kept watching me so I started to watch them as I headed towards the cashier but before I made it to the cashier another employee ask me if I needed help. I told him no, which i found that odd because no one has ever asked if I needed help I normally have to walk around to find someone. But I went to the self check line where I asked one of the cashiers to check me out with here scanner. Mind you I'm still watching to see if the guys are following me. She tells me to pay assuming she's done I put my card in to pay then gave my receipt to the security guard who then checks my items again to make sure I paid for them. As I get ready to leave here are the two guys telling me to follow them! I asked why and what are they talking about. The guy with he hat told me not to make a seen. He never identified his self until we had some back and forth then he says he's homeland security.Still never showed me ID come to find out the young lady didnt scan all of my items, she missed one and the security who checked my cart missed it too. The homeland security guys told me I was hiding a item because the way it was in my cart. I've never heard that your items had to be in your cart a certain way. And why is the cashier scanning if she's not scanning everything. Why is the security guard walking around the cart like he's checking if he's really not. Why is homeland security following me, watching me having me feel like I'm not safe in the store dressed in plain clothing? Those guys told me don't make a seen as was aggressive and very cocky. I told them I thought they was gang bangers or something. My integrity was attacked I'm a man with morals and principles I dont walk around stealing. As we were in the back those guys told me I had to sign a form saying I knowing took a item out of home depot. I didnt sign anything because I didnt know the cashier and the security guard didnt do their job correctly. I then asked him if I can go ahead and pay for my item because I did need it they told me that I couldn't pay for anything for 24 hours this was a home depot rule. When I go to Orland Park I never received this type of treatment. When I go to Menards, Lowe's, and Ace Hardware never received his treatment guys following me. I don't understand how the cashier and security guard didn't do their job but you blame it on the customer. Common sense says if I wanted to steal why what I go let the young lady scan me out instead of self checking myself out. this is the worst Home Depot I have ever been in. It's almost like the employees are hiding and it's almost impossible to find help. I bought 31 bags of 80# concrete mix, waited 2 hours for the forklift driver to bring them out to my trailer, he argued with me about a broken pallet the concrete was on and told me I would have to pay $15 for it. Bottom line is the forklift never brought the concrete out to my trailer, I demanded a refund and left without my concrete after wasting over two hours. I usually don't shop At Home Depot because they lack employees but I needed a new door asap so I had no choice. I get to the door department and the guy there didn't know anything. He basically told me to wait for the specialist that SHE was going to be there at 2. And I'm here like a girl really ok. so I said ok fine it was only 30 minutes so I waited. She offered install but Home Depot's process was a little too long for me so she explained the how to and walked around the store with me getting everything I needed. She didn't have an attitude like 50 percent of the people that work there. She truly likes her job. She was professional, dressed professional, talked professional. I needed some help with some tiles and she even knew that. Like FINALLY!!! Home Depot has someone who knows more than one department!! I don't like the store but if you have to go to this store that's the young lady you would want to talk too. Anything you need she will know. She also smells really nice so you can't miss her.
