This Home Depot in Commerce on Telegraph is my boyfriend's go-to for all his hardware needs, whether it's for work or home projects. It's super convenient since it's right up the street from where we live. The few times I've been here, it hasn't been too busy and we're usually in and out pretty quickly. The store is clean, well-organized, and the employees have always been friendly and polite. I also love the random finds you don't expect at Home Depot -- they had the cutest jellyfish lamp for $15 that my boyfriend was so close to buying me but I said I didn't need it. Always tempting us to buy more than what we came for lol. Just a heads-up: this location closes at 9pm, which is earlier than some other Home Depot locations. Come to find out that it's on back order for another month I've already been waiting a month it was a present for my wife for Christmas I didn't want to wait another month again so she told me that Electrolux washer are just as good . If I could give 0 stars I would. This Home Depot is the worst. The supervisor Vanessa is so rude I asked her where I can find an item and she gave me attitude. I asked her why is she so rude. I told her to call the manager and she would not call the manager for me she just said okay and continued to be on her phone. She told me that she's a supervisor and that she doesn't need to call a manager but that's okay because that's all she's ever going to be a supervisor and nothing more just a useless person that Home Depot has hired. I didn't argue with her I just said okay and left. Im not going to argue with a nobody who has no degree, no ass, barely making income. I told her we needed a fridge and so many to choose from, Vicky was exceptionally courteous and polite., she took her time to explain every detail of several refrigerators , Vicky was so knowledgeable she helped us get our account number because we forgot our card., not only that, she called the credit department to see if we had a coupon for longer than 6 months deferred, she was able to get us 18 months which was great of her to do that for us. It's fully staffed with pleasant men and women who are eager to make sure you find what your looking for. The bathrooms are clean. The prices are pretty good. The self check out is easy and I never get long lines. Vicky in appliances always helps me out. Because of my company I go to Home Depot every day. This place has to have the worst customer service hands down. I had a female associate just walk away even though we had made eye contact and I had voiced my need for assistance. I told another associate about the incident and basically shrugged it off like it was normal. July 2022 in ordered one window to be installed. One!!! job needed license and cert insurance. Home Depot couldnt provide it. they hired GoPermits to get it done. Took til March 2023. I wish I can give 0 star. Worse customer service ever. Ordered an AC for pickup at 3pm. Got a text, email, and hd app alert at 4:43 stating my order is ready for pick up. My husband went to pick it up and they made him wait nearly 40 min caz it's not ready yet. First he went they said they are getting it. He waited 20 minutes and still nothing. Went back in again and they are still getting it. Asked for a manager and apparently there's no manager. My husband had to go get it himself at this point so he can come home. At 8pm he was still waiting for the ac that was ordered at 3pm and got alert saying it was ready for pick up. Definitely gonna call in tomorrow to talk to the manager. When home depot refused to continue to give me a military discount for being a 6 year veteran I stopped shopping there and started to only shop at Lowe's. Besides the fact that it refuses to acknowledge ALL of our veterans I consistently ran into employee shortages. In other words you could never find anyone to help you. The employees that work there were always very nice but also struggled with having to try and help so many people being that they are understaffed. They also struggled with not giving me the discount that they thought we all deserved. I blame the owner for greed and not truly caring about the company he owns. Bought a two burner grill on Amazon for $370, delivered, unassembled. Went to the Home Depot store in Monticello, and there were assembled 4 burner grills for $250! Wow, wow, wow; After working in this place for almost three years, I'm very disappointed to see how things run in this Commerce Home Depot. You can see the big practice of nepotism and racial discrimination from Department supervisors, Managers, and human resource representatives in this location. From my point of view, Home Depot keeps making the mistake of having Hispanic ideology managers and supervisors lead some of their stores. They are discriminators in this store; As an associate, it does not matter how knowledgeable, experienced, hard-working, or excellent customer service is in your department, you will never be recognized, awarded, or promoted. If you are a supervisor, manager, family member, or Hr friend especially if you are a girl you don't need to be experienced, you don't need to provide excellent customer service, you don't need to be knowledgeable in your working area, just show up to work and walk around the whole store; For sure you will get promoted, awarded, you will get help to increase your pay and also overtime. We have some associates here with all these benefits and they don't deserve it. They are so bad here that I have seen associates discriminating against their Spanish-speaking customers while on the other side, you see few of the very knowledgeable black Spanish-speaking associates providing top customer service but no awards, full-time, or overtime for them. If you complain about something Hr will be instructed to decrease your working hours down to 16 or 12 hours per week so they can force you to quit. Got here just in time before the store closed. Man, I'm bothered as heck right now. Let me explain.... So the store was closing and I only bought two totes. There was a guy at the door who's name is Eddie (I was told). As I was walking out behind these other people, I noticed he just let them out so I expected to walk right out too.... NOPE!! He asked me if I paid for them and since I thought that was a dumb question, I responded with "NO, I stole them" This guy had his hands on my items before I even said that. I tried to continue walking but he had a hold of MY things. I told him to chill out. He asked me for my receipt and looked at the time in his watch (which I thought was unbelievable. Not only did he stop me from comfortably leaving, he even asked the people at the self checkouts if I paid for the items. WOW! First of all, I didn't pay for them there so that was dumb, then! Price gouging. I ordered 2 check valves on February 29th for $12.69 ea. I received my order on March 4th and there was only 1 check valve in the bag. I called customer service and he put me on hold and came back on the phone and said he confirmed that they only shipped one. He said they would credit me and then ship me another one but would charge me for the one they ship. The price now four days later $16.90. I received the second check valve and looked at the price on the website and now it's $19.96 I checked supply house and the price is $7.52. They no longer had any parking or designated curbside pick up spots because of the xmas tree lot. No big deal, so I went inside. I work for a property management company. I orders hundreds of appliances from Home Depot for our properties. On Saturday a refrigerator was delivered and installed by a tech and the refrigerator just fit in the space, however the doors cannot be opened. The tech told my renter that there is nothing he can do and he left. The tenant reported it to our office on Monday when the office reopened. He did not call Home Depot bc he did not purchase the appliance so he reported it to us. Our office is closed on weekends. Home Depot is refusing to do anything for us. They will not take the appliance back for a smaller one and says there are no exceptions so we are stuck with a refrigerator that will not open. Melessia, Home Depot Assistant Manager at 1919 Wells Road, Orange Park, FL 32073 helped us last night 12/29/23 at 8:05pm. She was the closing manager and we were there to buy some clearance items that she helped us with. The Issue was that they were the last 2 rocking chairs in the garden department but they had mold all over them and they were broken. She marked them down since they needed to be repaired and repainted which made it a value for us. I figured we could repair them and sand and repaint them. The store was closing at 9am and we were not sure if we would be able to fit both of them in our car. Melessia offered to meet us after 9pm so we could pick up the 2nd chair if they both didn't fit. I've been coming to this Home Depot for ages... One of the benefits and possibly one of the drawbacks of your standard Home Depot store is that they're all pretty much the same. Granted some can be large some could be a bit on the small side but I think it's fairly safe to say that the items available for sale are pretty standard at most stores, with little variation. So the thing that **does** separate one home Depot from another are the people.... Tonight in a moment of honest stupidity, I left a small, but expensive item in my shopping cart while loading up my car, driving off without it. Discovering that it was missing when I got home, I called Home Depot, spoke to a rep by the name of Carla, described the item, described where I left the cart, and asked if she could graciously go check. A minute later, she came back on the phone with good news. The item was there and she'd have it for me at the entrance counter. As far as I'm concerned that's what separates one Home Depot from another. Good people. So in my mind this location gets five out of five stars. Came for an in-store pickup and was able to get it done within a few minutes thanks to the helpful staff. Flor and Jay were able to quickly get my items and the rest of the staff was able to help me get some additional items purchased. Literally everyone I encountered was nice to the point where someone went out of their way to not only stop and open a package for me but communicated to the rest of the team at self checkout what I was purchasing so that everything went smoothly since I had a mix of picked up items and other items that I was purchasing. As someone who has worked customer service for years and now helps analyze/design them, I'm genuinely impressed at how helpful and everyone was in a time where so many people seem annoyed for having to provide service.
