VERY RUDE FEMALE EMPLOYEE. Upon entering this establishment at 7:58pm this evening, not aware that this location closes at 8pm on Sundays outside the 9pm I am familiar with the last 3 visits this week. A female employee at the front rudely shouted "we're closed! We're closed!" In a real unprofessional tone. As I turned around and stated "oh we weren't aware, sorry" she replied "yeah you should know better that we close at 8 on sundays". Pretty typical Sunday went to Home Depot for mulch and left with patio furniture. The staff was extremely helpful. My wife has been tracking a set of patio furniture and when we arrived they only had the floor set left. The assistant manager, Nicole Taylor, and one of her employees went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The set had a few scratches and was missing pillows. They gave us a discount and let us pick out another set of lumbar pillows. I will be back for sure partially bc it is the closest HD and partially bc they were extremely helpful and friendly. Side note, I really like that HD allows you to have the receipt emailed to you. Who needs paper for anything anymore. read more

I love this store! They have tons of employees always ready to help you out. No matter what you are in the store for, you can find someone to give you pointers on how to get the job done right. You don't have to search for employees like other stores and they are happy to walk you to the items you need, which is extremely useful in a store of this size. By far the best customer experience I've had in a long time. They sold me a refrigerator and matched the price of a store advertising the same model lower. When the unit was delivered it is swollen at the sides from insulation expansion and won't fit in a 36 inch hole despite the dimensions advertised as less than the 36 inch opening in my counter. It goes in 2 inches and begins to bind. A t square shows the budging is significant and Home Depot recognized the defect. I've been calling and going into the store working with the but the vendor (LG) has not held up their end and swapped or picked up the unit. Therefore I'm stuck with a fridge in my dinette. Home Depot and their team refunded my money letting me purchase a new unit while waiting for LG to get a clue. They actually let me get a fridge with no money out of pocket. They've been nice, professional and extremely kind. There have been may issues since I've move into the home but Home Depot has earned a lifetime customer. I wouldn't drive though a competitors parking lot after the way the Home Depot managers have treated me. It's an amazing experience that they are making right when one of their vendors is leaving me in the cold. This is one hell of a store and I cannot say enough nice things about them! I am so mad at Home Depot!! Talk about poor service. On December 17th, I had a new GE oven and microwave combo installed. It did not work!! The service installers told me they would leave it installed and for me to contact the store the next day to order another one. I went into store Conroe I-45 the next day. I ordered a different oven (more money). I was told they could not install the oven until after Christmas. The manager of the appliance section named Barbara told me they would deliver the stove on December 28 after I was told by the person taking my order(Mike) it would be taken care of on December 26th. Today, I called store to verify that everything would be done today after I received a text telling me they would be here today. I told Manager, Josh, that I did not want the new unit being delivered without having it be installed on the same day and that I had no place to store it. He assured me it would be done. I talked to him no less than six times today. Still at 4:30 no installation of the unit that is now sitting in my garage where now I cannot get my car in. I am furious. I call Home Depot, Manager Josh has gone home. The right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. I have never seen such poor customer service and the feeling they do not give a damn about their customer. I have been Inconvenienced and I have been outright lied to today. Now I have to wait until Monday to see what comes next. read more

I went to the Home Depot on 45 and research and all I can say is "Wow"!! I was told in the lumber department that they would not help me load my cart. I would do it myself if I didn't have three hurt fingers but it was over 50 boards including plywood. The associate when I asked him for help pushed a cart in front of me and said here you go. And looked at me like I was stupid. I called customer service and asked them if Home Depot employees were required or supposed to help when asked and she said no. Got an attitude with me and hung up on me. Some Home Depot's are good but this one here is trash. Only go here if you were in desperate need. There is a Lowe's at 242 and 45 today. They looked at my hand and tried to load my lumber without me even asking. It really is night and day between Home Depot and Lowe's. If you want customer service go to Lowe's. If you're not worried about it I suggest anywhere but Home Depot. I work for Home Depot over 20 years ago and customer service then was so much more than it is now. There's other lumber places you can go to I cannot believe customer service hang up on me and I did not get rude with her I just asked a question and she got mad at me LOL told me load up my own shit. Some thing else was when we were in the store wife went to pay and the nice cashier said wow they're loading your lumber for you we don't do that!! I can't wait till I get my hand fixed I will fly two middle fingers at that store every time I pass it. The manager that talked to the people in the lumber department was very nice. Apparently you have to have some kind of title to have a good attitude. This is just my personal experience I hope everyone else has better experience there. I wish I could give zero stars and the manager five stars. But people don't deal with the manager they always deal with the employees. The older men in the lumber department are very nice. I brought back their lowest level of graco paint sprayer because it was faulty. As I was walking off the employee at the paint counter said "at least you could have cleaned it first" (most paint sprayers will have overspray on them. But the parts that need to be clean were spotless) I didn't need to explain anything to either paint employee but both of them treated me horribly. My husband turned around and said, "we shouldn't have been sold a bad machine" the smart Aleck starts YELLING at us saying "I've used that sprayer for years, there's NOTHING wrong with it!!" By this time we have an audience watching with huge eyes. The 2nd employee told me I shouldn't have treated the sprayer so badly. I said I've treated it perfectly, used it twice. I'm trying to get their higher model and he continues to rail on me, telling me that changing sprayers wasn't gonna do anything for me, that the fault was with me. Just bc I'm a woman doesn't mean I don't know what I'm doing. The reviews of the machine says the problem I'm having is very common w the machine. When we told the manager (that they insisted we needed, which we didn't need) told us it was the employees since of humor, that he was very loud and had a dry sense of humor. Poor job on this one Home Depot. I will avoid this store if possible. I won't be talked to like a dog or yelled at in a store read more

Normally I get excellent service at this location. Today I was passed up by at least 4 different associates while I was struggling to find a part I require. I hope it doesn't stay this way. What has happened to The Home Depot? Tonight I went to buy a Dumpster Bag (Waste Management). The website reported that they had them in stock. When I got there I asked one of the first people I saw if she could help me find it. She pointed me towards the garden center and told me if it wasn't there it would probably be in hardware. The lady in the garden center used her phone and after some difficulty told me it would be on aisle 22 which was on the completely opposite side of the store. No problem. So after I walked all the way to the other side of the store I found a shelf with another brand of dumpster bags, which would not help me. After trying four different people, none of them seem interested in helping me find what I was looking for, and seeing three employees who were standing around talking actually break up their huddle and walk away as I was coming forward for help, I gave up and left. This is not The Home Depot that I once knew. read more

Employees were nice but one employee sent me on a wild goose chase to find the kid workshop, took my 3 year old around the whole right side of the store, went and asked a man and he told me it was on the right side as well, and I said I just came from there and their isn't anything. Another person yelled out it's in the middle in the back. Finally I seen it, but it's very dangerous to take a 3 year old or younger or in fact a older kid through the store when a man is riding on a vehicle lugging wood and someone is cutting wood right where the kid workshop was. My daughter was terrified, and the guy riding on the vehicle wasn't watching what he was doing if I didn't call out he would had backed up on us. The tables for the workshops are too high I had to sit my 3 year old on top of the table, and that is a big drop if she just happened to move, anyways in the pictures online there're tables that are low to the ground and chairs for the kids to sit. The people running the workshop were very nice, and very helpful. We will be coming back next saturday. read more

Place is very disorganized always lots of junk in the aisles and lumberyard has bad wood pushed up front on pile you need to sort through. Have never been in the store and been able to get out of there swiftly. There is never enough people on staff and there's always some problem with the check out that leaves you waiting there. Sometimes been over 45 minutes to check out. Also the web app or any online orders are a joke, unless you have all the time in the world to wait around for them to try to find your stuff or figure out if it's a built or somewhere else at the store. They did not sell the sizes I need, so I asked if they could put (4) boxes aside for me. They told me to call at 9:30 to talk to the stock manager. After 30 minutes on a Friday night listening to 70's early disco music waiting for Randy the stock manager to pick up the phone, I finally gave up. In the 30 minute time span only one person picked up the phone. Not good customer service both in the store and on the phone. I will not be shopping here anymore. read more

I have been here a few times and have had good experiences each time. Staff is usually friendly and helpful with any questions you have. Prices are pretty comparable to the Lowe's which sits right across from it. I will check prices online and then go to whichever one has the better deal. One good thing Home Depot does is the workshop/crafts they have for kids on one Saturday every month. There are crafts, food, drinks, vendors and different things to keep your kids entertained. I'm a contractor from Colorado and I do a lot of business with Home Depot across the country and this is the most inept group I've had the displeasure of dealing with! They've wasted hours of my time here in Texas! Managers can't be found, no one can run a fork truck so they wander the store looking for someone with a license! There's an intercom system dummy ! Use it !!! They couldn't do a contractor sale in the evening because the girl couldn't figure out the scanner so I left my two full carts with the understanding they would hold them until the next morning only to find out they put it all back! The west woodlands store is the only thing that's saved this job! The homeowner ordered an install through Conroe and they act like they've never done this before! Wow what a nightmare.
