We had 5 star customer service from Hugh and Angel today, and I wanted to give them a big thank you! We were leaving the garden center because the mulch I was looking for was out. I didn't ask for help, but Hugh approached and asked if we needed anything. We told him the situation and he volunteered to check to see if they had more that wasn't out. He checked the system and discovered 2 palettes. He and Angel went to get the mulch (with a forklift, outside the building.) We paid and met them in the parking lot. Next, they even loaded the 15 bags into our truck! It was messy work on a hot day, but they kept smiling. I am so impressed with their kindness. They went out of their way to help. Customer service like this is so rare these days and so appreciated. Home Depot, you are lucky to have Hugh and Angel working for you! read more

On February 11, I ordered two dishwashers...one for me & one for my son...my delivery on the 13th was not complete as delivery truck broke down. My son's dishwasher was delivered on the14th but the dishwasher was dented. My dishwasher today (15th) was damaged...so that is 3 things that have gone wrong...disappointed with Home Depot. I got a refrigerator from Lowe's a year ago & everything went smoothly. May never get appliances from HD again. read more

Had a frustrating experience here, unfortunately. There was a large item that was less expensive on the Home Depot website for delivery/in-store pickup. I shopped in-store and put this item in my cart, assuming that they could match the online price. I was told by checkout and two people at customer service that I would have to order online and preparing the item would take an hour, or I could have it shipped to my house. Seems like a silly rule when they will price-match for other stores but not their own prices. My husband called later on to get better understanding and the manager was very nice and said that there wouldn't be any issue matching the online price in-store. In hindsight, I should have asked to talk with her before leaving empty-handed, but I'm not one to ask to speak with the manager. Also, I was frustrated after not having much help or even anyone demonstrate understanding that what they were telling me didn't make sense logistically as a customer. Hoping this review will help the team here to get the correct information and serve customers better and with a little more kindness. read more

This location seems a little slow since that shooting a few months ago. Danger can be anywhere and it wasn't like it was someone that worked there that caused the problem. I went it for ant spray, spider spray, borax and a sprayer for my garden hose. Nice and clean, friendly looking staff. I don't remember the name of the guy they helped me over there where the bug sprays are but hes the one that help me pick the best spray to rid of ants in my home and it's working perfectly. I love this Home Depot store and it is by far my favorite in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. I do have to admit though I have not come here in a long time because of the shooting that took place last year. Without going into the Gory details Dallas sites and probably people Nationwide will probably remember that a Home Depot security person and members of the Dallas Police Department were shot here last year. While I respect Home Depot and their decision to reopen it just took me awhile to feel comfortable coming back here. Hartley due to concerns for my own safety but more out of respect for the people who were shot here. Fears aside I entered the store and my fears were put to rest by the presence of members of the Dallas Police Department in the store. What I have always admired about this store is how helpful the employees are. There is not a whole lot of difference between Home Depot stores save a few different Regional items that they may carry, but then the major difference is in the employees that are at the store. I have always found them to be helpful and do anything they can to check on inventory supplies at other stores or anything else they can do to help. And that is why this is my Home Depot store. read more

So I ordered on line an item. The system said they will notify me when I can pick it up. Then they cancelled the order because they said they only had one in the store that I was going to pick up from. Because I used gift cards, I cannot use these again for 3-5 business days. So I'm screwed again with something I needed and the hundreds of dollars that I used are unusable until (and if) I get a refund. I HATE Home Depot, I hope they go out of buisness. I ordered a grill online for my husband's birthday and when I went to pick it up at this awful Home Depot they tried to make me take one that THEY assembled WRONG and which clearly wouldn't work (the grill wouldn't even close). Diana the manager was rude, unhelpful and not even apologetic. I got a refund for the grill but not the $70 I had to pay for the UHaul to pick it up. And now no grill. This Home Depot is always easy to get in and out of plus parking is always easy too. Any time I walk in there is always someone there to offer me help if I need it. I generally always find what I need and it I can't find it the employees will help me locate it at another store. I think this location is a little smaller then others and the flower nursery doesn't have as large of selection as the Home Depot across town but you can get most of what you need. If your in the area and need something for your home definitely stop by, no need to drive across town. read more

Closest Home depot to my spot next to addison.. and great customer service at this location. Walked in here trying to find clips to nail into the wall that would support a two 50-75 lb paintings.. and I had no idea what I had to look for or do. Went to the nail section and asked the helpful employee there, and he was very knowledgeable on what to pick, and asked me questions that help me figured out what I needed. Very VERY HELPful. I ended up getting some cheap like 3$ mount things (for regular drywall? or whatever.. not concrete or brick) with 3 nails for it.. and a stud finder which was like 20$ for a decent one. Got my project done, and in a much quicker time.. thanks to the guy at home depot (forgot his name, but hes a legend in my book now). read more

Granted it seems like whenever I am working on a project, no matter how hard I plan, I inevitably have to go by Home Depot multiple times in a very short period to get all the pieces I missed, forgot, or didn't know I needed until the project got underway. It is a clean nice store where you can get anything from very raw materials to more finished goods. I agree with some of the other reviewers that there are times when it is challenging to track down an employee to help, but one of the things I love about Home Depot is that when you do track down someone, they usually do not end up being a confused high school kid but rather a knowledgeable guide to helping you get your project going in the right direction. read more

As a former HD employee, I may be a little biased by my own previous exceptional customer service :) I do not ever have high expectations for the Depot seeing as their stance on customer service has changed drastically with the inception of a new CEO a few years back. However, I still prefer this place to Lowe's because I know the layout like the back of my hand and typically don't need to ask where to locate any particular item. The only bad thing though is that not all Home Depot's have the same layout (like Target, Walmart, etc). More of the new stores follow the same format, but I do admit it's a little intimidating for someone who does not frequent home improvement stores regularly. Lack of employees on the sales floor can also make finding things a little difficult as there is usually only one sales-person per department during the weekdays. This means most of the time you are left to your own devices to find things. Tips - ask the cashiers, particularly the one's working the returns counter. They may not have the most extensive product knowledge, but they usually know general locations of items. Also customer service desk workers often have a pretty thorough knowledge of where to find things and can point you in the right direction. If you're not sure where to find something or what you really need, there are plenty of How To and Do It Yourself books offered at the store. There are also weekly How To classes offered by knowledgeable employees on things like how to faux paint, lay tile, and hang a ceiling fan, etc. The only bad thing about the classes is that they are not always well organized and if only one person shows up, they may not even have anything set up for you. I recommend calling beforehand to see if they are going to do the class. As for this particular HD location, I have been super impressed so far. I have visited this location a number of times seeing as its right down the road from me. I have had to get some aluminum blinds cut (since my puppy destroyed them), and this can always be a nightmare. While I did have to wait a while for someone to my assistance, it was worth the wait. The young man who helped me was knowledgeable and knew exactly what to get me so that I did not spend too much money. He cut the blinds to my specifications. When I got home, I realized I had measured the opening wrong, and the blinds were about 1/4inch too short...DAMN! I went back the next day to find the same young man working the flooring/blinds section. I told him of my goof up and he gladly cut a new set of blinds for me and told me not to worry about the charge that I could just take the new set! YAY! The service in the paint department, however, has been less than stellar. I went in the other day to buy some primer, and although I knew exactly what I needed to buy I had some difficulty finding the painters tape. I went to the counter and asked the guy where I could find it. Although he was not at all busy and should have walked me to the location, he simply pointed behind him and said "far left aisle" without even making eye contact with me. Well, considering the aisles are pretty long and have a crap load of products, "far left aisle" is not a very good directional description. Needless to say, I didn't really want this guy to help me anymore so I just went and found it myself while my primer was shakin up. I used the self-checkout, which is always a perk since there is usually only one or two real live cashiers working (even on the weekends). Leaving the store, not one person thanked me for my business or said bye even though I passed by two or three warm bloods. HD, you never cease to surprise me. If it wasn't for my familiarity with your store I would probably not shop here. read more

I am a Home Depot fan and like it better than Lowes. It probably has a little bit to do with me being more used to Home Depot and it is easier for me to find things. I think service is spotty at all hardware stores. Some times you can walk in to HD and be mobbed by helper and sometimes you can walk all through the store and seemingly no helpers are working, but by and large if I need help and find someone to help me, they are actually helpful which is a major factor for me. They seem knowledgeable or will find someone who is knowledgeable. read more

I go to two different Home Depots - and I would say this HD is in the "nicer" part of town - and I am always greeted by at least one or two people asking me if they can help.
