I like Home Depot. An indoor lumber yard, plenty of high-quality tools, including Milwaukee and DeWalt, and staff who are generally knowledgeable. They carry most of the items I usually need, and I really appreciate the drive-through area for loading lumber. It makes a big difference when you're buying long or heavy pieces. Stopped in today with a friend who needed some lumber. We were able to find enough straight 2x4s for his project, which is always a small victory when digging through a stack. read more

Recently however, i did and brought it to their attention. They were first class about addressing the matter beyond my expectations both on a corporate and local level. As far as Home Depot goes, we like this location. It's a nice/large location. We bought a lot of outdoor plants from here between spring and fall. They have a larger selection than a lot of the other Home Depots in the area, and don't seem to sell out as quickly. The pricing was also affordable. This location has become our choice Home Depot location. Home Depot (in general) usually has what we are looking for when working on our house. We love the convenience of the self checkouts, and the ease of using a gift card. The app is also great to help find if what we are shopping for is in stock and where it is located. We have no complaints for this big box store. read more

Big shout out to the paint department! These guys and gals go the extra mile. Quite sure my mom and I were driving them crazy at one point and were even so kind to swap out some paint that didn't look like the sample after mixed. They have great tips and not just order takers. I also really like that you can keep all your purchase history on file with the phone number so my sister was able to replicate a color I couldn't remember easily. read more

Do not buy custom cabinets from Home Depot. They changed their product line and do not stand behind their suppliers. We ordered one single pantry through them from kraftmaid to match our existing cabinets we bought from them through a previous supplier. The first pantry came damaged as did the second. We have now been storing two giant pantries and unable to complete our kitchen remodel while Home Depot keeps stringing us a long. They finally got back to us after several months and offered us a $200 . discount which is a complete insult. Now we will fight with them to get them to remove both of these pantries and completely refund all of our money. If you want the headache good luck otherwise steer clear! read more

Worked with the appliance department to get a great deal on a new washer and dryer. I also purchased a grill and so many other supplies. The delivery service they use is horrible, however, and really should not work with a large company. The guy used a dolly to get in through the garage and dropped one of the appliances on the concrete strip so it scraped the back. They wouldn't hook up my dryer vent for me but over tightened the water hookups. I'm surprised how they can't find a better delivery company. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. DO NOT PURCHASE A DOOR AT HOME DEPOT/Delafield. We purchased a storm door & paid $40 for installer to come out to measure. Actually he didn't need to come out as it was a standard storm door. The installer called & told me he would not install that door - he wanted me to purchase a different door for $70 more. After that I had no contact with the store for weeks. I finally went in & received ALL my $ back. Then I went straight to Menards & bought the same door! And didn't get charged for a measure!!! I made a decision to go to Home Depot because the sign stated that masks were required. That made me feel safe. I noticed 3 men in different areas of the store not wearing a mask or even having one around their neck. Several store employees passed by home and said nothing. Upon leaving the store , I called the manager. He said that the store provides masks but says nothing if a customer chooses not to wear one. So the sign that says "ALL CUSTOMERS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR A MASK" means ABSOLUTELY nothing. Do not shop in Home Depot if you want to feel safe. This is my second encounter with an uncomfortable situation here. SHOP AT MENARDS WHERE THEY ENFORCE THEIR RULES!!! read more

I bought a stove and paid the extra $$ to have my old stove taken away when the new one was delivered, the delivery driver claimed it wasn't on his work order and refused to take the old stove. It is now sitting out on the driveway. I called Home Depot and they confirmed that the old stove should have been taken away but oops, sorry, we can't get back for 4 more days to pick it up. just wanted to tell what i learned from buying a pallet of brown much. 30 bags delivered and as I'm speading them out I find big sticks and twigs along with some rocks and pieces of aluminan foil so I was not impressed. Also the color said brown but it is mostly black do not need to get this from Home Depoit ever again read more

Their prices are usually great. The staff is also great. I've met some very helpful people here that know there stuff. I've also had some people I wonder how they got a job in customer service. The girls at the pro checkout was awesome during the daytime. There is one younger girl across from that checkout that is also awesome. Other then that I have had issues at that store. Typically at night. I bought appliances at night after the day crew had me sold. I brought my wife back at night to make sure she liked them and waited 1.5 hours and several people to get actual help. I was so irritated that I called the night time manager and she was equally laxed on her job. Needless to say I steer clear of the store after 4. The day people are pretty good and knowledgeable. The nighttime crew are crayon eaters.‍ I go to Mukwonago Home Depot if I need something at night . I have found it to be true on multiple stops in so I wish I could say it only happened one but not the case. read more

Shop around and you'll see how high prices here are. Many items are 60-100% higher than Menards or Amazon. Try price matching - employees go out of their way to not match competitors, like you're taking money out of their pocket. Also, the exorbitantly high number of employees are exceptional at standing around talking to each other rather than going out of their way to help customers. The Hahn's Ace right next store is a far better choice if you actually want good customer service. read more

Poor employee training / customer service. Website and hours posted on doors are different. Some of the people behind the counter act like they have the most stressful job in the world. If you can't deal with customers then get out of retail, simple. I prefer a store where only real certified service animals are allowed. It's really hit or miss for me. Sometimes the employees are nice while other times they are rude. They do carry almost anything you need, but do some research on whatever you are doing before you go and save yourself the hassle of hunting them down. Today my husband and I were buying wood for a project. (A large amount of wood.) At one end of the store, the customer service desk, we were assured Home Depot would match or beat the price (at Menard's). At the other end of the store, the Pro Desk, we were met with indifference and outright denial to the pricing issue. That said, we found the blonde at the Pro Desk (unfortunately we did not get her name, or I would definitely include it) to be very unpleasant ... even Attitudy Judy ... what a bother is was to attend to us. As a matter of fact MOST of the 'customer service' personnel we dealt with seemed to exhibit an attitude of drudgery to just be there. One young man in particular however, (Collin) not only had a pleasant attitude, but also when he could not answer our questions, he found someone who COULD. Definitely NOT thrilled about your choice of 'customer service' personnel, for the most part. And your 'Shreck Line' just to get into your store is insulting. We DO know how to stay 6 ft away from others. Other hardware stores allow people to enter their store. Home Depot is a VERY large store ... and you're limiting your patronage to a mere 150 at a time??? read more

I have had a totally unacceptable customer experience at this store. I bought a generator online after experiencing a power outage during the October tornado. When I got to the store to pick it up I read the info sign about generators and learned it was too small to power my freezer and well pump. There was a larger generator available so I asked for that on instead, and asked that the approx $600 spent on the first be applied to the second without waiting for a debit card refund to go through the bank. I was told the only way possible to apply the money I spent on the small generator was a store credit so I agreed and left with the larger generator. WE Energies got our power back on before I even got the generator out of the truck so I returned it, completely boxed, unopened and unused in any way. The Home Depot refused to refund my money. They forced me to take a store credit. It resisted this but I was given no option but to have my money trapped in a store credit. So my wife and I picked out items from homedepot.com, however the store credit can't be used for those. I went back to the store and asked them to apply my money to their own website and they refused. It's unbelievably bad customer service. I had to call homedepot corporate about this. Hopefully they will fix it, but that will not make my experience at the Delafield store acceptable at all. read more

Tuff Shed should be called Tuff Luck. Most miserable construction experience of my life. In my opinion: Poor logistics. Terrible office and mangement staff. Missed commitments. Lost order. No follow through. Tons of problems with shed. Some still unresolved. I think Home Depot does themselves a great injustice by having Tuffshed represent them. It's not helping their brand at all. I would never have Tuffshed do another project on my property. Construction crew was friendly and competent but the entire experience was awful (still is). The build crew is the only reason they even get one star. read more

Terrible customer service. Went to buy a grill- the guy that offered to help me knew nothing and was looking up info online-which I already did- but I was hoping to talk to someone knowledgeable. They didn't have the one I wanted so the in store guy sent me to online and I asked him before I left how the discount with the card worked and about free assembly. Said I would get $100 off and all grills get assembled when they are ordered. Called .com and got set up with credit card and $100 off, I told them I didn't see where to say I want it assembled but the guy in store told me they get assembled- online said they would note it and call the store. Finally got an email that my grill was in. I called that am to ensure assembly as this was for my husbands birthday. The man that answered never told me his name, was short with me and kept saying he would check and call me back- never asked for my name or my number- I said do you even know who I am. He said yes I have caller ID, I'm real busy right now unloading a truck, I'll call you later, and hung up. Guess who never called. I called that afternoon and talked to a young kid- guess what grill wasn't out together-mine. He told me he was very sorry but their assembler just quit today and he would give me 10% off but it wouldn't be ready till tomorrow or maybe not even Friday, but he'd call me once he figured it out. Now it's Thursday, no phone call. I call again on my way home from work- cuz I work all day and don't have time to babysit people to do their job. FINALLY talk to a helpful 'lead'. I tell him my story so far and he says-your grills not on list to be assembled but it is now and will be done tomorrow. Let's get this done and we'll figure out what the kid told you yesterday. So my husband picks it up and I ask him to confirm the 10% and he said who he picked up from said that it should be taken care of. Fast forward to today... finally got my card in the mail and can look up my new credit card account. I look- no 10% taken off. I call- bookkeeper is very helpful sounding, she confirmed while I was on phone with customer service that they just need to call .com. Told me to give it 3 business days. Cool. Thanks everyone. 3 hours later I get a voicemail from some guy that says the lead doesn't remember this and they can put my grill together for me if I lug it back or they can send me a $50 Home Depot card. I call back 20mins later and am told he's in a meeting. Then I call back 3hrs later and was told he left right after he called me and told me to call him back. Are. You. For. Real??? Why even bother calling then? To make it look like you tried? This company doesn't treat customers well #1. #2 they don't stand by what their employees say. Tempted to lug the entire $1300 purchase back and ask for a refund. Never shopping there again. Terrible customer service.update:::: called corporate after the last call to delafield. They basically offer a $50 gift card for you to shut up and go away. Customer service seems just keeps asking will this satisfy the problem and resolve the issue. No. You're staff just makes up stuff and then no one is held accountable. They just keep changing their mind and making up stuff. I'll take it. Cancel my card. I am very disappointed in the Home Depot Veterans discount. Home Depot offered a 10% discount to Veterans on merchandise but when you go to check out you find that many of the items your purchasing are not "eligible" to receive the discount. When I asked a store employee how you could tell which items received the discount she said you couldn't until you checked out. She said many Veterans have complained but the company doesn't want to change the policy because it brings in a lot of business. I asked to have a manager call me so I could express my dissatisfaction and no one called. I sent in a written request and was told a manager would call me but they never did. This seems deceptive to me and instead of being a Veterans discount it seems more like a bait and switch. read more

Most of the people here are on the ball.. , if you are ordering any doors or windows.. a Must is to ask for TOM.. he can get the best results. Electic and hardware ... ask for someone who knows their stuff. Appliances.. most often is best to do your own research.. dont take their word for what is available or the best pices.. If you are confused .. go to the pro desk and ask how things are done.. those guys will set you on the right path. They have a fellow in Tile , tall gey haired experince beyond belief... If you are undertaking a tile job.. is good to run your job though him first to avoid mistakes. .. and he is handsome to boot. I have found that since the cut backs.. this store has kept the top ones , mostly managers and long time or productive workers. So right now your odds of getting great service is very high. I do feel that this store in general.. has the best customer service, focus on the customer vibe out there. read more
