When I got to the cashier, I remembered that they price match online retailers. They checked and found that Amazon had it for a little less, and they refunded me the difference. I don't know if it's just this location, but Best Buy is a former shadow of itself. There is very little product in any of the departments. And even if you were trying to listen to speakers that you would like to purchase, there was no way to do so. There is also no sales people on the floor to assist. If you found one in one department, he could not leave and just pointed you over to that department that you wanted help in. We waited 20 minutes for someone to help us and no one came. I would never go to this location again. There are so few options left for high-end stereophonic home theater equipment these days. Best Buy Surely is not one of them. read more

Terrible customer service. I ordered an open-box monitor in "certified excellent" condition and it came with a scratch on the screen. The rep behind the counter said I could only get a refund but not exchange it even though their website clearly states open-box items can be exchanged. They had a bad attitude the whole interaction and acted like they wanted to get me out of the store as fast as possible even though it was practically empty on a Monday evening with one person behind me. Manager made a mistake and then didn't even attempt to fix it. Gave more of a "tough luck" response about it and blamed the system. This review is for Best Buy Corp, not my local store. I dropped off a computer at geek squad. I realized I forgot to give them the passcode, so I wanted to call and provide that. However, there is literally (and I mean literally) no way to call your local store. Every single option puts you to a call center on the other side of the globe. The person who answered in "customer care" (which cannot be taken literally) told me that there is no way to call the store. You have to schedule a call-back. When I told him that was a stupid system, he told me I said a "bad word" and hung up on me. Stupid. Really? Best Buy, this is a very customer unfriendly model for customer service. You make it extremely difficult if not impossible to get help. You know who DOESN'T do that? Home Depot, and they have appliances. Target, and they have electronics. Milwaukee PC, Office Depot, Meathead Computers, and they sell and fix computers. I'm sure you get my point. read more

The Mayfair store called this store for a product I wanted and they were supposed to hold it under my name. I get there and they go to the holding area in customer service and wouldn't you know it's not there, imagine that. The guy asked my name again for another look and nothing. He informed me that no one called the store to hold it and I said I was right next to him and heard the whole phone call, he called. They look up the item and go to get it and imagine that, they can't even find it. They start calling in other people to see if someone can find it. After 20 minutes they find it. Geek Squad delivery service is the ABSOLUTE WORST service I have ever experienced in my life. Purchased a treadmill for Christmas. They said they could deliver it in a few days. Finally the Monday before Christmas comes and they are supposed to deliver the treadmill. They call and state they will deliver between 10am-2pm. Don't show, don't call. Then they call and rescheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Dont show. Wasted probably 20 hours of my week waiting for them to show. Now its the Friday before Christmas, 8:15pm at night... and they want to deliver it at the end of my driveway because its snowing???!!!??? How am I supposed to carry a box that size...by myself...up my driveway??? It wasn't snowing earlier in the week when they were supposed to deliver it!!! Finally cancelled my order. Your manager David is the worst employee I have ever dealt with in years. If I ever found out an employee treated an guest that way they would be fired on the spot. I requested to speak to the store manager or information for the district manager and was threatened and then mocked in front of other employees and guests. Then I was told I had to leave. I have visited this store a few times. Only employee that was helpful was Brian in electronics. Everyone else seemed to busy talking to other employees on their headset intercom system or were not willing to help find answers to questions posed by customers. There is nothing good about best buy anymore. I wanted to purchase a surround sound system that was $699. I found the exact same set on a website for $399. The exact same box and same product code and they would not match the price. So I ordered it on the website and it came and it was great! Also - they totally scam you with there warranties. I bought one for my iPad and they told me it would cover battery. When I brought it in, they said that was not included. There customer service is just horrible. The store is clean, small for a Best Buy, but the nice and attentive young workers balances that out. We were told the Geek Squad was booked with appointments. A Best Buy staff member named "Ian" asked us about our issue and he looked up the issue online. Ian took time to find detailed information regarding our devices and wrote down a URL to locate the pertinent information. We followed through with Ian's suggestions and were able to find a remedy for the issue. We are very much appreciative for Ian's proactive and thoughtful approach to problem solving! What a joke. Not only has this company screwed my dad before, after he had spent thousands, they removed all DVDs other than blueray. So if you feel like spending 30$+ on an hour and a half movie, this is the place for you. Yesterday I had walked in best buy to give them one final chance, there was a surround sound system for 370$. So that night, I went home to do some research and it all looked great. Walking in today the "sale had ended" and was now going to cost me 60$ more. After talking to the supervisor and providing a picture of yesterday's price, they wouldn't honor that. Do yourself a favor and let this failing company finish its self off. Okay, first of all let me just say that I am not a big fan of Best Buy and my wife kind of hates Best Buy. But I feel the need to give this Delafield location a good review. We had an iPad that was less than two weeks old when it stopped working. We tried to return it here but had left the power cord at home. They said to come back with the cord and they would exchange it for a new iPad and a new screen protector. Because we live in Milwaukee, we just went to the Mayfair Best Buy with the cord. THAT was a mistake. In Wauwatosa the customer service rep and the manager told us that they absolutely could not replace the $40 screen saver even though it was attached to a defective product. We were told we would have to go online and set up an account with ZAGG - InvisibleSHIELD and have them send us a new one through the mail. The manager did not care that the Delafield store told us they would replace the entire purchase. We left in a huff and drove all the way out to Delafield. Ben K and Sam M were the two people who helped us in Delafield and they were both great. We got a refund for the entire return value to replace both the iPad and the screen saver. They were apologetic about the defective product and very helpful all around. It was worth the extra gas to go west. read more

They didn't have it in store so he got it sent to our house 2 day shipping. He got us a free anti virus for 6 months, showed us a cool stylus, spoke and answered all my husband's questions. Stay away from their install department. Either dishonest or incompetent, but either is reason enough. I have been trying to get an XM radio and remote start installed since August. I have all my notes and receipts. The Big guy (no names) in installation needed a special part from Snap On, he claims he ordered it last August. I have the note where I stopped in on Sept 10 and he told me himself he had an email from snap on that the tool was on the way; he even took my phone number and promised to call. As of today (Jan 9) he says he never ordered it because he cut back to 1 day a week and he is not there when the Snap On truck comes. So he never ordered it. They cancelled 3 appointments for the install without ever telling me; I showed up and they refused to honor the appointment. Now, today, with a cancelled appt the big guy claims he never intended to do a remote start, he does not work on my make of car. I have the order confirmation, I have his writing on the receipt where he gave me his name, and more. Sad how one bad employee can result in the loss of a customer. I am done with them. read more

I was scheduled to have a refrigerator delivered on 11/26 between 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. No one shows up or calls, so I called Best Buy and was on hold for 35 minutes. They told me someone would call and show up by 6:00 p.m. No call from the delivery guys. They finally show up at 6:30 p.m. No apologizes, or nothing, but then again only one could speak English.
