I would not normally review Home Depot but the level of customer service at this location is especially stellar. On a recent visit, I can't tell you how many times I got greeted and asked if I needed help. That's in stark contrast to going to these big box stores endlessly searching the aisles for that one little widget you seek. Standout is Rasta like gentleman in lighting. I've encountered him more than once and he's so delightful I'm going to look for reasons to go to the lighting area. Besides him though, there's a noticeable uptick in good customer service here. This is normally my go to Home Depot. I know where most things are located so it is always easy to shop here. For the most part most of the employees tend to be very helpful. Although it is a hardware store it is generally well kept, neat and clean as far as hardware store come. My rating at this point is zero. I order shelves back in August that were supposed to be delivered on August 26th, per tracking the package was never picked up by FedEx, but Home Depot still makes you wait 5 days past the delivery date to talk to you. So after the 5 days Home Depot makes me reorder, that order was due for delivery September 3, another delayed message from Home Depot. So package is being picked up in CA for delivery in CA. It arrives in Tracy, CA on Wednesday September 4 at 1:11am. So just over an hour from my home, keep checking every day no movement. I contact customer service to find out why, they open a case on the 7th, only to check tracking today the 8th to find my package is now in Memphis, Tennessee. I'm beyond disgusted.. read more

I came to pick up an online order... while I waited for it to come out from the back I asked where to find Magic Mesh screen doors... after 30 minutes and 3 different people sent me to 3 different aisles, a 4th employee actually told me to go to Walmart... yes, she told me they didn't have any and to go spend my money elsewhere. This is the 2nd time I have bought an appliance at this Hime Depot...it WILL BE MY LAST. Pre COVID I bought a Frigidaire Refrigerator. Of course I waited all day and when they arrived it WAS SO BADLY DAMAGED that even the delivery guys were astonished. It looked like it had bullet holes in it. Much later, after many complaints I was sent a new one. Last week I bought a six burner stove. At 11:00 am I got a text that they were two stops away. At 1:30 I called Customer Service and was told..."on their way" 2:30, 3:30, 4:30 SAME. Always being told the truck was on its way. Finally I called and demanded an answer and I was told that the driver didn't have my address (which would have been on the sales slip) AND THEY WOULD DELIVER IT FRIDAY. Thursday when I had received NO TEXT OR EMAIL stating delivery times I called Customer Service which had no information regarding delivery. Also, for the first time I got a really kind woman on the line and it took her twenty five minutes but when she came back on the line she told me: 1) At 10:00 WEDNESDAY morning THE OVEN WAS SO BADLY DAMAGED THAT IT NEVER EVEN WAS PUT ON THE TRUCK 2) EVERY DELIVERY TEXT AND MESSAGE WAS A LIE. At 11:30 they should have told me THE OVEN WAS UNDELIVERABLE. 3) THERE WAS NEVER ANY DELIVERY SCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY BECAUSE THE OVEN HAD TO BE SENT BACK TO GE. So, if you want to be "gaslighted" all day and deceived. If you want to pay for products that are never delivered...shop here. If you want quality appliances with prompt delivery SHOP SOMEPLACE ELSE. We purchased a washer and dryer. The sales person was OK, but she was new. and didn't know much about the appliances or apparently the services. They were delivered on time and the installation was terrible. 1st, the person installing the appliances didn't talk. Not that he couldn't, ho only gave orders to his assistant. He didn't hookup the waterline to the dryer, because he didn't have the hose. He used. the old flex duct connecting tot the vent and left us with the new one we had paid for. When we tried to return it, the store was rude and actually told us it was our fault he left it behind, and wouldn't take it back. I ended up finishing the installation. The washer is a top load and is missing a rubber bumper. I use this store all the time because it is close. We will never buy another appliance here again. read more

I went there with my Mom and I can't wear a mask. As soon as I walked in the door I was accosted by the undercover Loss Prevention Manager. He threatened me and told me that I had to wear a mask and it was a local law. I called the town and they said no they do not have such a law. They followed State guidelines. I called the manager who was on vacation so I spoke to the assistant manager. She said write an email which I did requesting an apology from the Loss Prevention Manager. Never happened. I emailed the manager back and it turns out he is a bigger jerk then the Loss Prevention Manager. I have been in many Home Depot's across Connecticut and never had an issue. This manager and his immediate staff needs to be replaced and kicked to the curb. read more

I have seen aisles closed with no work going on, just team members talking, and when they see you waiting to get on the aisle they look at you and completely ignore you. My husband and I came here to buy plywood to use instead of a box spring for our bed. A very nice employee helped us with the plywood and cut it for us. Once we went out to the car we realized it would not fit into our sedan. We went back into the store for help and were told someone could wrap the plywood to the roof of our car using cling plastic wrap. We were hesitant but it worked perfectly. The two guys who wrapped the plywood for us were very kind and came out to help promptly. The reason I took away 1 star is that we asked for two pieces of plywood to be cut to identical size. Once we got home we realized not only were the two pieces of plywood not the same size (an inch or so off), but the edges were cut at a slant. It still worked but would have been better if it was the correct measurements. Overall had a great experience at this HD. read more

I go to Home Depot regularly, maybe twice a week, or more. love the stores. generally they have exactly what I want and decent service. my gripe: purchase and installation of their appliances. two bad, bad experiences, three years apart. great price on a fridge--three years ago. problem was delivery. they failed to show three times on separately scheduled delivery dates. just didn't show! don't live staying home for a delivery that never occurs. then they showed on the fourth try with just the water hose. we cancelled and shopped pc richards. successful delivery. Recently we purchased a dishwasher from Home Depot online at a fair price. delivery-- great, but they had texted that installation would be set up at a separate date. I had never been there until today. I checked out the reviews and thought the place sounds terrible. Customer service is what you need and this place sounded like it didn't know a thing about service. I was happy to see it wasn't as bad as all the reviews said. But there were still employees standing around chit chatting with each other instead of answering customer questions. And when they did answer questions they were wrong 50% of the time. I came to this particular location because they are known for having a large garden and plant center. It lives up to it's reputation. They have a ton of mum's and some arborvitae on sale this time of year. They also have some knowledgeable people working here. The only plants that were a little pricey were the rhodadendrons. I bought an expensive chain saw, in mid July from Home Depot in Fairfield CT. I was unfamiliar with the brand but the home depot associate assured me it was a fine brand and that I had 90 days to return it. I only used the chain saw a few times, but on 9/24 it started smoking and the motor would not fully turn over, a little more than 60 days after purchasing. I went to return it to the Fairfield store. I was told that since it is a gas powered item I had only 30 days to return it. I asked the manager, "Then why was I told I had 90 days to return it by the associate?" The managers reply was "It was a training issue". I was then told I could go to Tool Rental to have it repaired. In the Tool rental area, I was told it would cost and additional $20 to have it "diagnosed". I recently bought a weed edger also gasoline powered. I was told over and over again that I had 90 days to return it. It would seem that Home Depot is deliberately misleading customers. read more

Then, when I did get to a "supervisor", that person couldn't care less. They simply said, "we can send you a new one, but it will take about a week or so". I need to wait a week for it? Though, as a result of my experience with Home Depot Home Services; I am now a Lowe's customer. Fair warning - DO NOT use home depot to provide roofing services for your home. They WILL NOT due their due diligence when selecting a contractor and you very well may stuck with a horrible job. Home Depot field inspector, Chris, will be of little help or value to your cause. Field Supervisor, Jason, is a nice guy, but seems to have his hands tied in getting anything of value done. I recommend At Your Service Construction/ABC Roofing. While they did not provide any roof work, they were able to come out and assess the poor work provided by Home Depot to help establish our case. You've been warned. read more
