These poor kids just starting out, they saved money to replace old carpet with life proof flooring & the installer did an embarrassingly bad job. Overall I've usually had a okay experience at this location, sometimes being helped and sometimes not. Went in for the Ryobi Days sale and found out at checkout that the items are sold separately, despite the add saying that buying the battery bundle gets you a free tool. It's listed all over the Ryobi display so I'm not sure why they say you get something for free when I was told I'd have to pay separately. False advertising like this makes me not want to shop at Home Depot anymore. read more

This review is for the First Saturday Craft thing they do for the kiddos. This was the first time I went and was supposed to be meeting with a group of friends. When I asked an employee where I was supposed to go, they were pretty clueless, so I had to wander around till I found it. It was huge, extremely busy, and very loud, but not surprising given the hammers. However, it didn't seem laid out well at all. It was very cramped trying to sit down and none of my group was able to sit together. They had no aprons unfortunately, and then at one point I noticed they actually ran out of the planned craft for the day. Overall, it just wasn't what I was expecting and ended up being pretty disappointed. My friends told me it wasn't normally like that or that busy, so I'm hopeful to try it again and have a better experience. read more

Sometimes it can be difficult to find an employee to get help, but once I find an employee they are always friendly and helpful. I have ordered items both for at home and store delivery and have always had a positive experience. They have a large selection of items in store and an even larger selection online. Prices are always good. I have shopped at this location for many years and have no complaints. read more

My husband loves this store and frequents it often. Any time he needs something for the house, this is his go to spot. They have pretty much anything that you could want. paint, appliances, wood, gardening stuff, tools, bathroom supplies..... well you catch the drift. They have giant carts you can use to shop in the store. Personally i find the store to be a bit overwhelming. Its big and has a LOT to look at. The staff is usually friendly. You can get a veteran discount if that describes you and you can show them proof. Reason for 4 stars, i had my credit and debit cards stolen several years back. The thief went to home depot for many of their spending purchases in the hour it took for me to close my cards. They spent a lot of $$$ there. I asked home depot to help out but they were not helpful, didn't really care and wouldn't even cooperate with the police for parking lot cameras. Anyhow if i had my choice i would not shop here due to that reason alone. My husband loves the store though. read more

Never had a good experience here. Staff is either incompetent or downright nasty. The following is JUST the most recent of irritating problems. Decided to buy a skeleton (go Halloween) and they wouldn't let me buy it and pick it up later without giving them just about all the information they could bully from me (phone number, address, full name, email address) YOU DO NOT NEED THAT YOU ARE JUST DATA MINING So I told them that I'd just pick it up later. Worst experience ever. Today I was treated as a Thief!! All I was doing was buying a small spool of wire $50 worth. I needed to be escorted and couldn't even carry it to the register. Had other shopping to do. Spent $200 today. It will be the last! Never in my life been treated so poorly. Worst experience in service ever! I ordered over the range microwave with installation to replace the broken one. Same size but different manufacturer. Decided not have problems with heavy lifting and so. Two guys which supposed to replace it did not have any idea how to remove the old one, I had to show them holding screw's location and give them the ladder to reach the screws. The worst part started when they tried to attach a new mounting plate to the wall after reading the installation instructions for about 20 minutes. Nevertheless, they did not use toggle bolts which were in the kit but attached the plate to dry wall using just wood screws and overdriven them by electric drill. I had to pull the plate off using just my finger to demonstrate that it would not hold. After that they said this is a new model for them and they will call somebody else. Somebody else was available only late in the evening and we agreed he would come on Monday. So, they left my home leaving the whole thing uninstalled. On Monday I waited the entire day but nobody came, and nobody called me at all. I was so upset and decided not to deal with Home Depot anymore and returned the whole thing to the shop. When I complained about my experience, I was told by Home Depot manager that they do not have any influence on their installer. It might true but they have a choice to pick the installers who know how to install. The cherry on the cake - they charged me a restocking fee because per their policy I have only 48 hours to return it back. I would not recommend anyone ever to use Fort Collins Home Depot, especially the services. They do not care who they contract for the job. read more

Updating my review because the delivery experience was terrible (machines didn't arrive on time, had to take extra days off work for the rescheduled day, then there was a scratch on the door of the dryer, the company sent out to fix it delayed multiple times and I had to take off work each time they said they'd come and didn't). Pretty horrid experience and I wouldn't go back here for appliances. Also, they don't enforce mask wearing of customers which is gross and unsafe. read more

IF I COULD GIVE A LOWER STAR RATING I WOULD, DO NOT SHOP AT HOME DEPOT! We purchased a dishwasher at Home Depot in Fort Collins, CO. It was several days before it came in and was to be delivered. We paid extra to have the old dishwasher removed and hauled away along with delivery and hook up of the new dishwasher. When the delivery crew arrived, they did not introduce themselves. I showed them where the dishwasher is located and the best way to get it in the house with the least obstacles. There were two men, one of which, Noel, started to take out screws and remove panels from the old dishwasher. Although the one working on the old dishwasher did not speak much English, he asked for the breaker to be turned off. The other one disappeared for awhile and then came in and looked under the sink. He questioned why the breaker had been turned off (rudely). He then proceeded to look under the kitchen sink where the plug in for the electric and the water turn off where located. The only thing between the water connection and the dishwasher is one thin piece of wood. By looking under the sink the head workman, DJ, could not see the place where the hose could be unscrewed and replaced. Because they could not see the connection, they said they could not install the dishwasher. I asked what was needed to make it work, my son got down under the sink with them trying to figure it out. The man that seemed in charge, DJ, just kept asking if we wanted them to leave the new dishwasher or take it back to the warehouse over and over again. Totally ignoring our questions. I finally told them to take it and just before leaving I had to ask for their names. I then called Home Depot's (supposed) customer service. The woman that answered the phone said there was nothing they could do. My husband came home and pulled out the old dishwasher which revealed the tread connection, which was super easy to unscrew the hoses. Is was super easy and if they had just not been too lazy to just pull out the old dishwasher. My husband and I then went to the store and spoke with the sales person who did the original transaction, Dejon (super nice and the only good thing about this whole thing, too bad he as to work for such a terrible company). He got a manager to hear our story. He then had me email the pictures I had taken of the thread connection to him so he could share it with another associate in charge of this type of thing, Ariel. After not hearing from anyone for a couple of days I sent a message to Dejon. He said that they were still talking to the delivery company and he would let me know if he heard anything. We bought the dishwasher from Home Depot, not the delivery company. Home Depot should be the ones to give customer service and stand behind their products and customers. They contracted with the delivery company, not me, I put my trust in them when I made the purchase at their business. I went back in to Home Depot and talked to the manager (an assistant manger named Jen, who I see already had negative reviews on Yelp) on duty and told her the situation, she looked up the purchase and told me that a refund had been issued three days ago. I had never been informed of this at anytime. The charge has not been credited to the card as of now. She also offered that if I would by one of the discontinued dishwashers they had on sale, she would give me an additional "little discount" (her words). These are dishwashers that are discounted due to being discontinued, past displays and/or scratched or dented. She also informed me that if we did purchase one of these dishwashers that we would have to install it ourselves. I asked to talk to the person who was not a assistant manager but the person in charge. She told me that she was the highest person I could talk to. I will never do business with Home Depot again an would encourage others to save themselves the heartbreak. read more

The customer service here is outstanding, period. Again, today I needed help at the customer return desk and "Sydney" exceeded my expectations. I've been in the store 30-15 minutes before closing in need of a product not on the shelf, but showing to be in the store. Every time the employee I've contacted has willingly retrieved the item. The shelves are often fully stocked. I've received ideas and suggestions which have aided in completing my project. I recommend this Home Depot to friends and family. read more

People make the difference and the people at the JFK in Fort Collins, Colorado Store really do care. I have visited the Customer Service area three times in the last month. Whatever the issue is they want to make it right and the customer happy. Not all retailers STEP UP when it's called for. Home Depot at JFK Blvd in Fort Collins does just that. I ordered a washer and dryer and got the correct dryer but wrong washer it did not match. I wanted to return the washer and have them send the correct washer they said no we will come and change the door so it would match I didn't want that? Now I have to return it and order a new washer somewhere else! read more

This Home Depot is seriously the best one I have ever been too. The associates go out of their way to approach you to see what you need and then go above and beyond to help you. They are friendly and knowledgeable and give advice on your projects or the product you are purchasing before you even have to ask. I have especially found the paint counter and the lumber section to be very helpful. Even when I have had big lumber orders to be cut I have found them to be more than willing. Mike especially went out of his way, the week before Black Friday when he could hardly get to the saw because of a huge delivery that filled the department, to get my large order of wood cut for me. Having been a customer at many other hardware stores in different parts of the country I have to share what a gem this store is. read more

I went to the store an bought a $600 patio door. It was in stock and I paid $80 for delivery. No extra charge for a 14 hour delivery window! Yes, between 6am and 8pm. And after 14 hours, no door. After a call to service, they claim it was shipped from Greeley and couldn't deliver. After more calls, they say it wasn't in stock in Greeley. But I bought it in Fort Collins. Reschedule for two days later when I have no one to help move the 200lb patio door. If you go to the store, they are like most places. Some folks are competent. Other not so much. Deliver or install something? My experience is incompetent or lying people. read more

We drove all the way here from Westminster after dealing with our local store for over a MONTH and getting no closer to a new sliding glass door. Not only were the folks at this store all SO kind, patient and helpful, they had the exact door we were looking at online in stock and even had one SIGNIFICANTLY marked down. In fact, when we called to see if we could purchase a door over the phone (at full price) they recommended coming down to take a look at the reduced price door first. They ended up saving us $600!! I have never been more thrilled with a transaction and next time we're in the neighborhood we will definitely be back! read more

It is what it is. A HD in super suburbia (Ft Collins) that has pretty much anything you need for your project, and about every fourth employee you ask for help knows what you need. It's clean and well stocked, the checkout staff is friendly enough, but the parking lot is super small and not well designed - watch your stop signs (or lack thereof) carefully. read more

I went in 3 time in the past week for 3 different projects. Every time I had employees walk past me and not acknowledge me, much less ask me if I needed help. When I did ask for help, where a very specific item was they showed me where a totally different item was that they thought was "better" for my project. I had light fixtures, door knobs, and locks for the house all loaded up in the cart. We needed to make a backdoor purchase for either French doors or sliding glass doors. Both gentleman working in that department did everything in their power to not sell me the door. One gentleman went so far as to be extremely rude to my wife and doesn't know how close he came to a bad day. Too bad for you home Depot, I was about to spend around 2K on the first of many home projects for 2018. So frustrated with the service in Home Depot on JFK Blvd. I stood in the tile department for 30 minutes waiting for assistance, I asked 3 times at the service desk for help, no one ever came to help. As I walked through the store there were several employees standing around talking to each other and no one even bothered to ask if I needed help. This is not the first time this has happened and I am sure it wouldn't be the last if I ever choose to shop there again. Lowes here I come. read more

Went to HD, on Magnolia - out of Gorilla Hair Mulch, they were out - OK- its that season. Told us the JFK store had 50 some bags left. Drove down there - nope - had been out for several days - so much for their computerized inventory. Associate in the NSY department said because hard to keep it in stock best if we would "order" the number bags we wanted - pay in advance, but then when they came in the next week, they would be put on hold - with our name on them. Great! We did this. Returned following week as instructed "no - they did not come" Returned the next following week -" no they did not come in" Each time we were told they would call us - hmmmm The 3rd time, we returned (we had NOT been called) and they said "it had come in, and they had not set aside our purchased bags as promised. " Then told to go to the "back", someone was waiting there with our bags. No they were not there to help us. The service continued to deteriorate. So we placed a special order, paid for it, and they did NOT set our bags aside as promised on the special order, didn't to call as promised when they arrived. read more

I've had very pleasant experiences at The Home Depot on JFK. Today, however, was remarkably awesome! I walked in carrying a tub faucet. The associate who greeted me at the door spotted it and told me where to go for its replacement: Aisle 12, four sections on the left. She was exactly right! She couldn't have known that the very helpful Randy would be in the aisle ready to help me make a selection and provide advice. The hard part - installation! - comes next, but with any luck Randy will be in the aisle again. read more

Great service!! Shout outs to Forestt (spelling?) who helped me in the paint department and Julia who helped me both in returns and in the gardening section. Both were super friendly and knowledgable. Forestt helped me figure out the steps in detail on how to refinish furniture - from suggesting the right chemical stripper and tools to use to picking out different shades for different types of finished wood. I must have pestered him with questions for at least half an hour and he was super patient and thorough, answering all of my questions. Julia was also super friendly and knowledgable! I needed suggestions on house plants and she helped me figure out the best type of plant for my lifestyle (I.e. Low maintenance, hard to kill plants). She even helped pick out a planter. Both employees were super approachable and helpful. I would definitely go back to this location! read more

This store practices false advertising! I went in to buy a dishwasher advertised for $250 and after I had to pay about 15 extra fees, including the CORD, and an " installation kit"; plus tear-out with an ADDITIONAL fee for haul-away - the cost of the dishwasher was $497.00!!! Almost twice as much their advertised price! (With tax, I did pay over twice as much as their price!) Even if you hauled it home yourself and did ALL the work, the dishwasher still would not have cost $250! Home Depot used to be a go-to store; but now they are practicing dishonesty and are falsely advertising their wares! I will not ever buy from them again as I refuse to be an enabler to this kind of customer disservice, and downright dishonesty! read more
