This is my go to home improvement store. They always have everything I need and the sales associates are so nice and very helpful. We special ordered a front door and when it wasn't exactly what we wanted they helped us pick the perfect door for us. We've never had a problem but when we had an issue with our special order the store manager Jeremy made sure that we got exactly what we wanted. He still knows who we are when we shop there and makes sure to say hi. We enjoy shopping here and look forward to more great customer service from our Georgetown Home Depot. read more

Free Delivery and Installation subjective. I have Samsung appliances and previously upgraded the Samsung washer that was on the Samsung pedestal. The delivery service removed the old washer and stated they will not put the new one on the pedestal. I paid them $40 out of pocket at my home, above and beyond the purchase, and they took care of it. Forward to today, I returned to Home Depot in Georgetown to replace my dryer. During the purchase I asked if the salesman could put a note on the order to place it on the pedestal and shared my last experience, which reflected badly on Home Depot. The appliance employee told me will not install the new one on a pedestal, even if it's the pedestal made for the dryer. To make matters worst, to just have the dryer delivered I would have to purchase a new cord and vent pipe from them, $50, because delivery cannot be authorized without these items, even if I had them. After questioning Free Delivery and Installation I agreed to purchase theses items but only if delivery included installation as what good is Paying for additional items to receive Free Delivery and not have the appliance installed. Again no. In a compromise I asked if the dryer could be delivered to Home Depot and I'd pay someone else for delivery and installation. Again the answer was no. Free Delivery and Installation Must include the purchase of the additional dryer vent and cord, then it can only be delivered to a customers address. I spoke to the store manager Manny who explained it's a liability issue "but" if I Purchased a new $269 Samsung pedestal with a new dryer the shippers would install the unit, but I would have to purchase even if I already owned the same pedestal made for that appliance. He stated that my situation could not be rectified by his Home Depot and suggested another popular appliance store. I did what he said and the other store did not have a problem addressing my delivery concerns, taking my $800, and providing delivery and installation on the same manufacture dryer pedestal. To me this policy disregards the American Disability Act and discriminates the elderly, the disabled, or anyone who cannot lift a dryer with the expectation of Free Delivery and Installation. As a buyer I was in complete confusion at my Home Depot to find a compromise. Their website highlights delivery up three flights of stairs, and nothing about the restriction of lifting one foot to an existing pedestal, or the need to purchase an additional pedestal. Rarely enough cashiers and using the self checkout is ridiculous at this type of store.

I don't know why I keep trying. I asked customer service where to find an item. They sent me to the wrong isle and said there would be two guys who could help in the area. I waited around 10 minutes, checking the near by isles, and couldn't find either gentleman. So I went to the employee station, where there were two abandoned PDAs. Surely they'd be back for their equipment? No. I waited another 20 minutes. Two employees past who looked free, looking down each isle. I tried to flag them down and get help but they sped up rather than help me. I gave up waiting for help and used the abandoned computer, left logged in, to google the exact parts I needed and wandered around until I found them. The customer service here is abysmal and the prices are terrible. If it isn the only place open I whole heartedly recommend going literally anywhere else. If it is the only thing open? Terrible customer service. While loading our truck after spending hundreds of dollars a customer began badgering my brother because his boxers were showing. We asked the said person to leave us alone and mind hos own business. After he had management called and continued to badger us the manager threatened to call the cops on us if we didnt leave. Absolutley ridiculous if you are going to allow good paying customer to be harrassed by other customers and then threaten the people that are being harrassed you have no right being a manager. I shop here regularly (at least once a week) and have found just about everything at this store to be mediocre. Prices? Just OK. Service? If you can catch someone in an orange apron they are pleasant enough. Store appearance? Acceptable. Fairly good selection, but often out of stock on items I want. I can't stand going into this home depot. If you know exactly what you need and know exactly where it's located ..then go for it. I went in yesterday to find some replacement hoses for my irrigation system. After rummaging through the shelves for ten minutes, I gave up and left my cart (which was filled with stuff I really didn't need) in the aisle and walked out. I went to the ACE Hardware on Williams which recently re-opened after the big natural gas leak. I was in ACE about five minutes as a clerk found what I needed in seconds. Last week the clerk complained to me that the store is frequented by shoplifters who find it very easy to walk out with stolen merchandise..seemed like a wierd comment from an employee to customers waiting in line. It is a decent place to buy sod, like I said if you know exactly what you want. read more

I am writing this review as I leave frustrated without what I came for. Why? Not because they didn't have it. Not because I didn't have enough money. Not because I change my mind about doing some home repairs tonight. But because NO ONE would help me! Every time I saw someone in an orange apron they either worked in a different department or was not able to help me. Mixed results when needing anything that is out of the ordinary, staff tries very hard but does not always know detail information about what they sell. Advantage is that it is close to where I live. They used to provide a 5% competitive discount when using their credit card ( matching Lowes ) but no longer provide that benefit; I am very disappointed in loosing that benefit when considering the overall experience there. read more

I ordered a fountain pump online to be picked up at the Georgetown Home Depot. They said they would text me when it was ready to be picked up. After half a day of not receiving a text, I ran over to the store to pick it up. When I arrived to inquire about itI was told they did not have any record of my order. I came home and tried to call their customer service department for online ordering. Called once and got as far as waiting for a service representative to take my call. The on hold music stopped and it rang twice at the other end indicating I was about to be connected to another human being and then suddenly I was disconnected. I called back 3 more times with the exact same experience! The number they gave me to call is useless. What kind of scam is Home Depot running? I paid for this order with a gift card. That money is now gone and now I have to run to Lowe's in Round Rock or Leander to purchase this pump. I certainly will NEVER shop at Home Depot again. If a Lowe's ever opens in Georgetown I will be the first one to help Home Depot close down. It's too bad. They occupy a great location for a home supply store. Update: dropped a couple stars due to a terrible experience today. The lumbar department has a specific checkout line within the lumbar department. I purchased +8 ft metal fence poles in BULK (+15), +10 bags of concrete, and a post digger. Since all of the products I'm purchasing are found in the lumbar department and large I naturally head to the lumbar checkout. The lady cashier yells out that she has a lot of customers today and she's only accepting customers with actual wood material. Mind you there was two people behind me and I was 1st in line ready to checkout. So after I tried to explain to her that all of my material is in the lumbar department and due to the size of my product it's very dangerous for me to try to navigate all of this bulky metal poles and concrete (800 pounds at least) to the other side of the store she yelled at me. So here I go hauling ALL of this material almost running over kids and knocking over products on shelves all bc of what...? No good reason. I was embarrassed bc I got ugly stares from other people having to apologize for running into them and blocking traffic. I finally get to the line on the other side of the store and the guy behind me says "mam, you know you could check out in lumbar with what you got." I wanted to breakdown and crrrry! I never want to go back. I'll drive to another HD in another town before I have to go through an experience like that again. To me- Lumbar department product and on top of that BULK poles and 800 lbs of concrete you should checkout in the lumbar department line. I was putting the safety of other customers as more of a priority than an employee. Not good. Especially knowing I have to purchase a lot more bulk fencing items to complete my fence and Bulk PVC items for irrigation. read more

Maybe but I don't think so (actual answer) What's the difference between titebond 1, 2, and 3? -Not much, *grabs bottle and inspects it*, hmmm, this one says superior adhesive. Let me look at 2 ... well, it says the same thing. What are you using it for? A cutting board. -Hmmm, I don't think you can use any glue for that Well, actually titebond 3 is rated food safe by the FDA. -Really? wow. That's cool. So I was just wondering if I'm sacrificing bonding strength for food safe glue. - I don't know, they all sound like they're pretty good Do you guys have any cobalt bits? I need them specifically. *pulls out iphone*, -cobalt?, hmmm, well, Here's some titanium ones, and this one over here says it's made from some sort of black material, they'll probably work. I have no idea. Avoiding employees like they're papparazzi, 99 times out of a hundred I know more than them, and I've only been doing this for 4 months. Enter, Cody, at the georgetown, tx store next to walmart. I see him starting to approach and try to not make eye contact. He finds me and asks me what I'm looking for or if I have any questions. I tell him I'm on my way to get glue sticks. "glue sticks? what are you making?" A shelving unit with mini drawers to hold nuts and washers, etc. "ohh, well, I actually know something better and cheaper, follow me" I keep trying to wander off so I'll lose him and not waste another 15 minutes of my time watching someone fumble around with their smart phone, or try to locate other employees, who are assuming I'm on some alien planet because there's no way, at all, that something on earth would be called a caulking gun. He finds me, ' no, this way man, come check it out'. He says, 'ok, so, what are your materials?' I'm gluing plastic to metal. "ok, ok, so first, I'll show you this, it's rubber silicone, it'll bond but it's not super sturdy, but, moisture doesn't effect it." Well I want something kind of sturdy... "ok cool, come check this stuff out. Loctite. Do not, and I repeat, do not get any of this on your skin, it's dries in seconds and will actually bond skin to skin and you'll need some obscure solvent to undue it unless you want to pull your fingers apart and deal with a bad situation." Wow. "yep. best stuff ever." Thanks man, I'll try it out. .. *start walking away* "that it? you looking for anything else?" well, actually, I need some super heavy duty rust removal stuff for some hundred year old barn metal hardware. "hmm. how bad is it?" pretty bad, I had to use a bench grinder on it. "yeah, ok, are they big things or little things? like things that have weird places to get to that'd be hard?" yeah, they're little things with little nooks. "hmmm, oooh, you need the works!" You don't thing CLR would do it? "well, if it's that old, you'll need something stronger. Here, follow me, this stuff is incredible, and it's dirt cheap...hmm, oh, here it is. The Works toilet bowl cleaner" Toilet bowl? "yeah, but it works like a charm, this'll get anything you can think off off the piece, and unlike some of the other products, it doesn't stain the metal, or start eating into it if you're not baby sitting it." Wow. Cool man (it worked like he said). Thanks. "no problem, let me know if you think of something else. Went outside, thought about the only competent employee I've ever met, walked back, got his name- Cody-then got in my car and started writing this review. We bought a GE Washer in 2010 and had purchased this pedestal. The product itself is fine and it does rise the height of the washer door to a comfortable level for loading and unloading the washer. Here is the rub....we decided to replace our 2010 washer with a 2014 model. I researched the 2014 GE model and in the manual online it showed this pedestal as being compatible. We purchased the washer and signed up for the "free" delivery and haul away of the old washer. When the delivery took place (10 days later than scheduled) the delivery guy looked at our old washer and said they can't touch the pedestal...they can't remove it from the old washer and they can't install it on the new washer! I was faced with bad choices....1) Let them haul off my old washer along with my $200 pedestal and install the new washer with no pedestal. 2) Leave the old washer and pedestal and install the new washer....again sans pedestal. Bottom line....they were not about to touch the pedestal. I wasn't happen with either choice and said they could keep the washer....at which point they informed me it was already off the truck and couldn't be taken back. I refused to sign for it and they left in in my driveway with a copy of the delivery notice and "Customer refused to Sign" written across it. With some assistance, I was able to move the old washer and pedestal, remove the pedestal and install it on the new washer. The old washer it waiting to be picked up by the Salvation Army. The happy ending is that I am able to share this with you and let you make an informed decision about purchasing an appliance from Home Depot...something I won't ever do again. read more

The last straw is when I needed to order awnings. I went to mill works but nobody was there. So I went to the customer service desk who sent me back to mill works. I waited until someone else came over and called for the guy on the walkie talkie. The guy showed up but helped someone who had just walked up instead of me - who had been waiting almost 15 minutes. Depending on when you go to this location, the service is hit or miss. There are some that really work hard but they are overshadowed by the others who do a poor job. read more

Walk in there and see if you get waited on. You are lucky if you do. They pretend not to see you. They will walk right by you and they do not offer to help you. I'll take my business elsewhere. Their main competitor is much better when it comes to customer service. If you like being ignored, go to Home Depot. Don't buy any appliances from this store, we purchased a stove in Dec 16, it was delivered on the 17th of Dec, and taken back the same day, was replaced by second stove the 23rd of Dec. This stove also does not work, delivery person instructed to have the outlet replaced it looked broken, so I agreed to keep the stove thinking he could be right since this one also did the same thing as the first. Had the outlet replaced, stove still will not work, called Home Depot and they sent out repairman, to my absolute amazement he said what ? Nothing wrong with stove its your electric system causing the issue, so we paid to have an electrician come out again to check the outlet and the wiring going to the stove, NOTHING WRONG with electicity in house as per electrician..... So another phone call to Home Depot, they scheduled a repairman again, but then called back to let us know that a part would need to be ordered before they would come out again?????? NOTHING WRONG WITH STOVE REMEMBER, today to our utter amazement repairman arrives with part that he does NOT install, again tells us it is our house electricity......TOTAL CRAP!!!!!!!... Now we are at he said / she said and still no working stove, $ 700.00 stove... Make this gets even better the stove that we took out of the house because of smell we could not get out of it, WORKED JUST FINE....OUR ELECTRICITY OR FAULTY STOVE ??????? I shop at Home Depot A LOT!! So I assumed that if I needed to make a special order that it would go ok. WRONG!! They had a sign promoting Free Upgrade to solid core doors when you purchase a hollow core. Great sounds like a good deal. Everyone please check the prices before signing on the dotted line. The price they were charging me for solid core was $15 higher than the price on the shelf for hollow core. Pretty self explained that "THAT IS NOT A FREE UPGRADE"! They insisted to argue with me and say this verbatim; "well we don't carry solid stock in store so it's a special order and special orders are always more expensive". I told them that it's not my fault that they don't carry solid stock in store but a free upgrade is a free upgrade. They argued for an hour before never actually admitting they're wrong but settled to give me the same price as hollow core. I'm sorry but it just makes me curious on how many people actually get screwed like this by not taking their ticket and comparing the price to the shelf before buying. Probably most people just expect to be treated fair and honest. I know I'll be checking my ticket now on . I gave a one star only cause after an hour I finally got the free upgrade. read more
