This Home Depot has some of the most friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff I've ever encountered in one of their stores. I've called and asked for will calls pulled and ready to pickup same day. Theyve provided assistance on several occasions to transport and load a few very heavy object in my pickup. I misplaced my receipt. they printed one up in a matter of a few minutes. unfortunately I must say this is not always my experience in home improvement stores. Every Saturday and even during the week, people have to wait in 3 or 4 different lines to check out. And of course we have to do it ourselves. Older people having problems going through the process of paying. Every weekend it's the same story - we had employees call out. Please provide better service or hire people that WANT to work. Have been waiting for appliance delivery since Jan. 8, was rescheduled for Jan.15, no show. Have been given the run around for at least a week beyond second delivery date. Have been lied to about their delivery policy and I found that, yes, they still deliver and install and remove old appliance of which we have paid for already! I now have no delivery date, have received a bill for the item and have no item! Nobody at the Grants Pass HD store has a clue as to the statis of our order. Have called corporate and they are looking into it, very unprofessional, inefficient and lacking qualified employees at this location! Will probably be doing business with Lowe's from now on! Cannot recommend this facility to anyone except in a negative way! Too bad, so sad, they have burned a bridge! read more

Great experience @ The Home Depot in Grants Pass, OR.! I found a lockable outdoor storage bin online that I had to have that was in stock at this particular location. It was also a good price and rated well with several customer reviews. When I arrived, I walked around aimlessly trying to find it, then I happened to run into Diane with MET (she explained later that she works with The Home Depot division of vendors). I asked her if she could help me find this specific item. Diane obliged to help me and she found out through her electronic work device that "it didn't have a specific designated spot just yet", so she went searching for it with another employee. 5-10 minutes later, they found it, and took it down with a safety ladder! I was impressed with their positive attitudes and due diligence in helping with this much needed item. Thank you so very much! read more

Home Depot apparently implemented a new policy today to "thank veterans for their service". Upon reaching the checkout counter today at the Grants Pass location with my cart full of products I showed my US Department of Veterans Affairs photo ID to receive my discount as I have each time in the past (including 3 days ago), but this time I was told I must "register my information and create an account" to receive a Veterans Discount. I explained that I was a victim of Home Depot's data breach many years ago after which they provided data monitoring services for years and I had to freeze and replace credit cards and accounts therefore, I am not willing to entrust them with my information again. The clerk told me sternly "if you don't like this policy, you should shop somewhere else" (and yes, it was worded that rudely). I asked for a manager and after a few minutes the clerk came back with a manager that told me they had nothing to do with Home Depot's previous data breach issue and if I'm not willing to register my information I should pay full price or shop elsewhere! I guess their new policy is to only thank Veterans who open an account or entrust them with their personal information to file. read more

I ordered a specific variety of Dogwood tree online in a 7 gallon pot. What I received was a dry 1 gallon sized root ball stuck in a 2 gallon pot of dry bark. It was really wilted and it seemed that no amount of watering was helping it to recover. I was upset that I didn't get the sized tree that I ordered and paid for. Home Depot told me that they hear this complaint all the time and that it wasn't their fault it was the horrible vendor's responsibility. If I reordered I would have to settle for a full sun white blooming variety, not the pink partial shade tree that I ordered. They were unsympathetic and the resolution would leave me without a tree at all so I kept the tiny tree and walked away without any refund for the size difference. Home Depot needs to treat customers better. From now on I'll drive the extra 30 miles to Lowes. read more

It's not often I go to the hardware store--although I love them. Several days ago I went in looking for a painting tool. At the paint section, I asked a woman if she could tell me if they stock the item--she was stocking painting supplies, but appeared dumbfounded and not quite conscious. I looked around more, couldn't find it--so politely asked the man working directly behind the paint counter. After an uncomfortably long pause--to attempt making me feel stupid, (in a surly/aggressive/extraordinarily irate tone) his reply was, "what the hell do you want?" Taken aback, I began to ask him about the implement--then, rather quickly for me, realized his behavior was abhorrent--and just said "no thank you, you are kind of a jerk." He was WAAY more than "kind of" a jerk, but I felt stunned--and that was just how I reacted, unfortunately, not responded. He was probably 55-70 with a light-ish complexion maybe light-auburn hair and meaner than snakesh*t. I feel for any being who is required to mask up, especially for hours while working--maybe that was a contributor. However, I felt almost attacked and felt the need to cleanse myself thoroughly once I got home. After hearing other people's stories and my experience, I cannot recommend going there unless you are super-comfortable with fairly violent psychic energy. As well, I easily found the tool at a non-corporate local store and was treated well. read more

Surprised at all the low reviews for this store? It is as good as any other Home Depot I've ever shopped at. And I've had tons of experience as a property manager these past 10+ years. These are big box stores with enormous square footage and lots of stuff! It won't be a mom and pop experience folks! I'm new to the area, so have been here for pretty much everything I need for my new home at least 7 times in the past month. Each time I've found exactly what I needed, from new window blinds, to a leaf blower, to a shower head, to renting a shop vac, etc. I also ordered my brand new Samsung washer and dryer through Home Depot in August, and it was on sale for a better deal than anywhere else, and the delivery team they used was fantastic! I am thrilled with my appliances. The employees I've asked questions of have all been super nice and helpful! Prices are pretty much as any other Home Depot, and quality really depends on what you choose...you get what you pay for. I am so happy this place is here for all my home needs! Thinking back to our hundreds of visits...some sales people have been amazing. Walked way out of their way to help us. Other ones...not so much! We go in get what we need and leave. Just canceled my card. I've shopped at Home Depot for a long time. When asked if I was a veteran I always said yes, and showed my DL that has Veteran on it. I had to take my DD214 to the DMV to be approved for the DL designation and for my Navy License Plates. Went there today, they asked if I was a Vet and I said yes. Then I was told I had to register and jump through hoops to get the discount. What? They think they are being respectful; I disagree. They just want more information on me. I had a HD card so they have all the info they need. My DL is proof enough. Nope, when I said no thank you, she said weel thank you for your service.... I told her don't say that your company obviously wants to make hard for them to give veterans that 10% discount. I will be shopping elsewhere. read more

As local business owners ourselves, we just don't understand the complete disconnect between the customer and the design department. We realize, the design department can not control the 3rd party contractor(s), but there was zero communication without consistent follow-up. After 5 weeks of us checking-in and repeated requests to get the contractor to show up as promised, WE had to initiate the request to refund the required deposit. I ordered a SHED from Home Depot from Grant Pass for our home in Oregon including the installation. I have paid Home Depot for the shed for months now. Getting Home Depot to commit to an installation date after receiving payment in full has been pretty bad. It took them months to schedule the installation after many phone calls. The day before the installation, they cancelled. I had to cancel the electrician, the insulation guys, the linoleum people, the carpenter that I lined up. Home Depot did not care. It is what it is. I would not advise anyone to trust their level of commitment and their desire to provide any acceptable level of service. So, so sad! read more

With so many supply needs, it's such a great feeling that Home Depot has our backs. I would like to give a huge shout out to a few of wonderful workers who make our lives a better place to live in. Paul and Mike in electrical really knows his stuff. They make it easier to shop. Anthony and John have a great knowledge of product throughout the store as well. Melissa always greets us with such a fantastic smile at all times, and so do Linda and the other ladies at the register. When Ben Stuby transferred to manage Roseberg, it broke our hearts and we miss him dearly. But Grants Pass got a new manager who truly dedicates her time with ease and is super to work with as well. Got a Douglas Fir this year for Christmas, BEST Christmas tree I've ever seen. It smells like pine but not too strong (I still can smell my anniversary flowers from the 2nd OVER it but smell a strong pine when I'm near it). It's a great shape, full, and darn near perfect! While my first and second and probably third experience at Home Depot in Grants Pass was less than stellar.......My recent visits were as if I were going into a new store..... The store has hired more help, and with fresh faces, come fresh smiles. Perhaps they haven't lost their enthusiasm yet, or maybe they are just good. I still have issues with the stock on hand. We had to travel to Phoenix store to get the things we needed for our master bath update. But the stars are adding up. When its all said and done, the real core of any success is the employee. So good job Home Depot. I haven't attempted to get paint yet, but I HOPE the attention to customer service has spilled over to that department as well. read more

I ordered an advertised Samsung Washer Dryer combo which was said to be able to deliver in two weeks. They took 3 1/2 months to deliver. HD kept telling me there was nothing they could do and offeered some compensation. I suggested they stop selling Samsung appliances because they do not deliver as promised, and just leave take it or leave it voice mail messages on my phone. My biggest complaint is on the Samsung delivery people (said to be Richies Trucking or something out of CA.) They scraped my rental property parking area coming in with their huge van and made two permanent marks. They saw me with a mask on and said "do you want us to wear masks?" I said "have you been vaccinated?" They said no. I said yes please wear a mask. Apparently couldn't make this determination without my help. They proceeded to unload my new products and dropped them heavily from a hand truck to the cement. I said, I hope that still works. He said it should, there's a lot of foam in the box. Wonder if he would handle his own property the same way. They were about to put the new unit in place and there was water on the wood floor. I said are you going to wipe that up first? He said "no we just install. We don't clean your house for you." There was packing material all over the parking area, crums and pieces of material. I said are you going to clean up your packing material. He said, "oh yeah we always do that". Did they do it ? No, they just got in the truck and left. Worst installer attitude and workmanship I've ever seen. Thank You Samsung. I will never buy another of your products and I will never buy an appliance from Home Depot again. I will make a point to tell everyone I can about this experience and recommend they do the same. read more

Waited for my washer and dryer to be delivered and installed on 11/12/21 driver called couldn't get up driveway when we explained and documented that the driveway was steep. Took the appliances all the way back to Medford instead of dropping them off at the store. Rescheduled new date of 12/01/21 again waited all day another no show they were delivered to the store around 5pm and by the time I was able to call store no one was working in the appliance department. Three weeks to go from Medford to Grants Pass they must have pushed them on a hand truck. There should be repercussions forthright inconvenience they have caused and the lost wages incurred. When you call the store all you get is being transferred around to wrong departments. read more

Ordered a stove in April of 2022 and was told 2 weeks for it to arrive in store. I paid in full at that time. 4weeks later still no stove, but they give a new arrival in a few days and to call back then. Over the next 2 months I'm given a dozen new dates and told to call back. Now mid July and they say they can't refund my money until the stove arrives! The stove is in stock at Lowes and I just want my money back to purchase a stove as I've been without for 3 months. I finally asked to speak to the store manager today and was transferred 3 times and the phone just rang with no answer for over 10 minutes. read more

I went into Home Depot today to purchase mask for my wife who suffers from severe respiratory illness and myself is also suffering some respiratory illness at this time. I got up to the cashier and show them my veteran ID on my driver's license I usually get a 10% discount for being a veteran this time they told me we can't do that anymore I was upset about that I have to talk to the manager she told me if you don't do this anymore the cashier was very nice and help me out but still very annoying don't think anyone to shop at Home Depot anymore and just go to Lowe's and they do take the 10% which I signed up for with my DD-214. read more

We ordered a new refrigerator in early January and were told it would arrive in a week. We called after a week because we never received a call scheduling delivery, and discovered they never placed the order. We waited another week, and the refrigerator was delivered. After the delivery team left, we started taking the plastic off and found that both doors were damaged. It looked like the unit must've fallen onto a bar and caused a dent across both handles. This also seemed to effect the door-in-door piece, making it not latch correctly. We contacted Home Depot and were told that once the refrigerator was delivered, they had nothing to do with servicing it. So we call LG, and were told all they could do was send us two new handles and we would have to install them ourselves. We waited 10 days for the new handles and when they arrived there was only one handle in the box and it wasn't for the door-in-door. We're still hassling with this and find it extremely disappointing and frustrating that Home Depot wouldn't stand behind the purchase and correct this issue. read more

Thinking it would be a time saver, we ordered three cans of urethane and a box of nitrite gloves through the Pro Desk.
