No sales help in the store. I wanted to purchase a rubber stopper for my bathroom sink. I brought with me the metal part from my sink and asked them which size I needed to purchase. Ordered polyurethane to refinish my hardwood floors. When I showed up to pick my order up. I was notified they canceled my order because they sold the items before I arrived. The customer service rep made no attempt to help me find a replacement product or make it right just telling me to talk to someone in paint if I really needed something else. Seeing I spend the entire day sending my floors with the expectation of refinishing them tommorow. I guess I will shop at Lowes. So I woke up this morning to a notification Home Depot charged my PayPal account for the order they canceled yesterday. read more

My family bought a $400 Dewalt 20V push lawn mower on 5/21. Two days after Home Depot's warranty expired ( August 19) the mower stopped working. We used it maybe four times! Home Depot just shrugged and said not our problem. They offered ZERO assistance. It has taken hours on the phone to get a shipping label and now we have to find a way to get this lawn mower to a UPS store and ship it back to the factory. Thanks for nothing Home Depot. Went to pick up a curbside order waited 15 minutes until I called the store because no one came out after I checked in. Got home and saw the item was used, why would you give a customer who paid for a brand new item a used item??? After 2 months of trying to get my item I decided to just get my money back and go to another store. I'm getting tired of the sexism here. I'm a woman. Today a male clerk cut me off before I had finished explaining my problem, and he dictated an answer. But I had already tried what he suggested and it hadn't worked. He didn't listen to me long enough to understand that. Another time, a male clerk was helping me, and a male customer approached him with a question, and the clerk dropped my transaction to engage in a long interaction with the guy. Not a quick answer, a long discussion. While I stood there. Granted, some of the male clerks are decent, but this kind of thing happens too much. MEN AND MANAGERS: Women are not stupid. I bought several Art Design class's products there. They have a very good customer service. The price is expensive but affordable for small appliances. However, it's close to the bus stop. I often have to walk there because i don't have a car. The parking lot is so empty that no many local people visit there I would say... The mall there is the same, no many customers... If I could give them zero stars I would. My order was on August 29 for kitchen cabinets. Ever since then I've had no kitchen and three kids to feed. The expected delivery date was September 16 and every day the delivery date is pushed off by one day. Still no cabinets and my contractor has moved on to other protects. Customer service has no idea who to contact they don't even know who is delivering the cabinets. Not only that one of the cabinets ordered by the kitchen dept staff is in the completely wrong style. I doubt I will even get them. I feel like I'm getting scammed. I would never ever use Home Depot again for anything kitchen related. they have made my life hell. read more

Why oh why do I return here? About twice a year I come to shop at Home Depot, thinking that "oh I can just tick everything off my hardware list here," And I leave either with just one thing from the list, or nothing. I continue to be amazed about how little they know concerning the products they purport to sell. I once came in looking for a hand drill and they reacted like I had suddenly started speaking Sanskrit. A big box advertisement for the mom-and-pop hardware stores. The Hadley Home depot's got all the standard home improvement fare that you'd expect, but I wasn't too impressed with the service. I went in to buy some paint, for example, and waited at the paint counter for assistance for almost ten minutes even though six or seven employees were standing nearby. Which leads me to my next point: the employees are not very knowledgeable about the store's layout or products. The reason I waited so long for paint was because the six employees nearby didn't know how to mix paint. On another visit, it took several employees (and another ten minutes) just to locate staples for my staple gun. I was also disappointed with how poorly cared for their potted plants were! Finally, I think the selection in home good items is better at Lowe's just a few minute's drive away. read more

Do not order an appliance from this store. We ordered a dishwasher two weeks ago. The store works with independent contractors for delivery, installation and haul-away. This week I have spent a staggering THREE HOURS on the phone with various contractors (none of whom have a clue where our dishwasher is) and missed a full day of work. I am told we *may* have a dishwasher installed a month from now. Needless to say, we canceled the order. But this experience has aged me by a month! read more

Do not order appliances from Home Depot. We ordered a dishwasher and washing machine online. When they arrived they refused to deliver based on literally a dusting of snow in the driveway. When my husband offered to put down sand, they refused saying we would have to reschedule. This was after waiting two weeks for delivery. I called and canceled that day. That was 12/12/19. Today is 12/23/19, and after 5 phone calls to customer service, the 1039.00 charge is still on my Home Depot credit card. I have since closed both my cards and I am still waiting for my credit. I have put in a dispute and if they do not settle this I will take legal action. read more

They miss represented. Window project. I measure & ordered Windows. They came out & measured the Windows. I agreed to a buildup of the lower window sill. Once the project was done. They had built up all sides of the window I didn't'agree to this. They look cheap, For the price of these Anderson Windows I'm very unhappy. I called the store & spoke to an Assistant Manager. She sent it to a Manger. No response. I don't recomend doing any large project with them read more

I purchased kitchen cabinets from them, several of which were supposed to be 19 in. in depth. Instead we discovered after getting them home, that they were 24 in. in depth. This made the whole installation impossible. At first the salesman at Home Depot said the cabinets with the correct depth had been placed on back-order, since the manufacturer had so many problems to deal with. Finally, we got a delivery date of four weeks in the future. Total time was 10 weeks, even though they require full payment up front. I was assured by my salesman that I would get some sort of compensation for all we went through. Someone would contact me. This was more than a month ago, and I am still waiting. Not the greatest customer support. read more

Just had life-saving experience at Home Depot with EXCELLENT customer service. I'd been looking for a light fixture for a hanging paper lamp and couldn't find one to save my life. One of the employees, Mitchell?, BUILT ONE FOR ME FOR FREE. I paid for the parts and he wired it together. WORKS LIKE A CHARM. I'd been to maybe 10 stores today asking about these and was about to give up and die of exhaustion. The carpet sales dude also was a champ. This store rules. You can tell the employees are busy, but if you really need something, you'll get it. Thanks Home Depot! read more
