Service here is abysmal. We waited in flooring for 30 minutes, asked paint to page an employee. They did and we waited a further 15 minutes with still no response. Had paint page a manager and we're still sitting a further ten minutes out... Does anyone actually work here or do you need to hire more people? read more

Big fan of Home Depot, not a fan of their millwork service. If you need doors, I'd recommend going to a specialty store like A&D specialty or S&L Lumber - you'll get much better and faster service. This Home Depot Millwork department is an absolute terror to try to get ahold of. You'll feel ghosted for weeks instead of taken care of. read more

I Paid for measure and approval on a storm door for my house. They approved it. I Paid and had it installed.I can't close it with my big door. The handles collide. They said I knew before I spent $581. + dollars. Yeah, I paid all that for a door that I knew wouldn't work. They refuse to refund me.Not to mention the horrible communication from Tiffany, Justin and Gary. I was given the option of a different series of doors or a refund. The other doors were cheap and ugly. I asked for a refund. They gave me the 1-800 number and told corporate I knew about the issues. Again, why would invest that much money for something if it wasn't going to work.Taking advantage of an older, single woman is how I see it. I bet they wouldn't do this to a guy. I purchased my GE top load washer & dryer online, through Home Depot, on August 25, 2020. I also went with their extended warranty through Asurion. During the first part of December 2024 the washing machine wasn't functioning properly. I contacted Home Depot Protection Plan. About a week and a half later on December 16, 2024, a technician arrived and determined the unit needed a speed sensor, and ordered one. On January 2, 2025 the speed sensor was replaced. It didn't solve the issue. A motor & invertor board was ordered. On January 15, 2025 those parts were installed. Didn't help. The main board was installed. Still not working properly. A technician was due to come out on January 15, 2025, but received a call saying the wiring harness needed replaced. Again, on order. It is due to be installed February 6, 2025. It's going two months with no working machine. They won't replace the unit, even though a technician has been out here four times. I'm 76 years old and having to go to a laundromat. I can safely say this has been one of the worse experiences I've had to deal with. read more

Purchased a Samsung all in one washer dryer. After the first delivery was refused due to the side being pushed in in two places (delivery guys said the warehouse uses a Jaw device to lift and load items). It was another several weeks to have an undamaged unit delivered. Installed in the water catch tray for a washer ok but the fully described delivery was not done. They pushed the power button to show it would turn on and then left. After two hours of trying we discovered they did not turn on the water after connecting the hoses. The HD description of delivery / install should have included running a wash cycle to be sure everything was operating properly - this was not done, a Home Depot issue. After running one load and because of the deep drum, I decided I needed to raise it up to be able to reach to the back of the interior more comfortably. Went on line to HD and ordered the very expensive Samsung base used for the all in one. It was dropped on my front porch by a delivery service and I was concerned since I paid extra for delivery and set up. Called HD with my concern and was assured they would be out the next day to "install". They came today and did the install. First the guy tried to carry it upstairs by the shipping strap and it broke. The box tumbled end over end down about 7 stairs and luckily I was at the foot of the stairs and stopped the box before it tumbled into my glass curio cabinet. Clearly an accident. I noted that I saw a "crease" in the front upper right of the drawer but rather than refuse it with further delays I accepted it. It was well packed so I assume this was actually a defect allowed to pass inspection at Samsung. When attempting to open the drawer we discovered it would not open because of the water catch tray. The water catch tray worked fine with the all in one unit by itself, the unit bottom dispenser drawer opened just fine. There was no foot adjustment to raise the base itself up enough to clear the tray lip so we had to remove the water leak safety tray. Ok, they left. I then went to put my laundry supplies in the drawer and guess what, they are too tall to allow the drawer to close. The clearance is just about 1/4 to 1/2 " too short for bottles to stand up. The base gave no specifics about the drawer depth or clearance needed to allow the drawer to open. I am disappointed in Samsung for these design flaws / lack of specific information about drawer depth, clearance requirements. At this point I can only hope that the unit never has a water leak issue since it is installed on the second floor of my home with no safety water catch tray. read more

I purchased a range at the Hilliard, Ohio location last week in November of 2023. The price had increased by a hundred dollars in just one day since I thought about the particular range (I did not read the fine print that the sale ended the day before the purchase). They said the range was now on back order and it would be delivered on the 11th of January. Finally after waiting almost a month and a half, they came out today to install the range. The delivery was supposedly free but they charge $30 to install, $30 for a parts kit that you HAVE to purchase, and $50 to haul away the old unit. They said they could not undo the gas line and that we should get a plumber out to undo the line! We are now out $157 that we paid the plumber, and the delivery is rescheduled after 2 more days as they couldn't come back in a timely manner. The old unit worked fine and the line wasn't rusted or anything! The plumber said they should carry the right tools. Don't be fooled by free delivery and installation. It's a scam. read more

This place is decent. Generally, I can never what I need a Home Depot anyways so I guess this location is similar to the others. Lowe's in my area has a better selection. Upon walking in, I was greeted pleasantly and guided to the correct aisle to find my items. However, they were not in stock. I interacted with multiple customer service members who would tell me where things were but not help me pick out what exactly I needed. I would show the customer service rep the piece I'm looking for (from home) and they would go "right down there" and walk away. A tad frustrating given the lack of selection. The associates in the store are great. The delivery people are the ones that rank a big 0. Be prepared for your order to show up Early early and outside your house. They will send you an email which is fine if you're checking your email at 6:00 AM. Didn't else send you a text saying your deliveries coming after it's been delivered. Needed some drywall and other odds and ends to finish a project - had previously ordered a custom door that was ready for pickup here. Online-ordered the drywall and planned to come after work, rent their 75min truck and get it home. Get there after work and go up to the pickup counter, tell them I'll be renting the truck and they say "Okay we'll get your stuff together, go rent the truck." Get down to Rentals and the woman says "I don't rent the truck after 6." No I'm sorry or hey I'm so sorry we can't rent it after 6 or anything, just plain as day and almost annoyed that I'm asking - "I don't rent the truck after 6." You're open until 10, it's a 75min truck rental for $19, I work UNTIL 6, and you literally have this policy posted nowhere (if it's not just a case of the worker being lazy). "Okay, let me go cancel my $700 order." And I did exactly that. Not a super convenient truck rental if the only people who can use it are the ones who A)don't have a day job or B)are contractors who already have a truck. read more

I frequent this location a few times per week for household renovation projects. We purchased two exterior doors from them in May 2018 - one French door and one front door with side and overhead windows. Home Depot subs out all door installations to a local company called Certified Flooring Installation (CFI). The French door install went fairly well albeit CFI was slow to schedule our installation due to being understaffed - their words not mine. The front door was another story. The door arrived without any trim, therefore CFI could not install the door. After three more months of waiting, our new door trim arrived but the door slab was cut 1" too short creating a large gap between the threshold and door. Fast forward two more months and the door manufacturer recommended a black steel bracket and skirt be added to the bottom of the door to close the gap. In addition, the kick plate was not stained to match the door - it was naked cedar. My gripe with this Home Depot was the poor communication and follow up on things promised. The manager for the door department is terrible at returning phone calls and emails. So much so that I had to escalate to multiple store managers who would ultimately point me back to the same manager who would not return my calls. They also did not handle staining the kick plate, but instead referred me to Lowe's to purchase the stain and sealant so that I could do it myself. Now, almost a year later I have a problem with the French door and the door department manager won't return my calls to get it serviced. Short of going down there and making a scene, I am not sure what to do to get this door fixed. I called CFI, the company that did the install and they are still as slow and incompetent as they were during the install. read more

I come to this one once in awhile, when I'm running errands nearby. A little hard to find and reach if you don't know where it is and where to turn. Service has always been good; this time several people helped, and anticipated what I'd be looking for next. We had a flood in the basement, and projects to deal with both the damage and what caused it. In general I find Home Depot to be cheaper than Lowe's, though not as cheap as Menard's. Plenty of locations and a good selection push it ahead. I'm sure I'll be back. read more

This is my regular Home Depot in the Columbus area. Over the past several years, I have been here a lot -- a whole lot. I've bought stuff from every department. At my peak of home improving, I knew most of the employees and had been told I was in the store enough to have a job there. Compared to Lowe's, Home Depot has a bit less selection (especially on interior decorations), but Home Depot seems to do a bit better on price. It's my go to place for most home supplies. However, if you are looking for real variety, you would likely do better with a specialty store (Capital Lighting, The Tile Shop, Oakland Nursery, etc.). Keep in mind, you'll likely pay substantially for the variety from which to choose. At Home Depot, you don't always find an employee who can offer expert advice, but they are pretty good. A few times they have been amazing. For example, a guy in the plumbing dept spent twenty minutes helping me take apart a leaky faucet to find the gasket that needed to be replaced. Also, compared to smaller hardware stores, Home Depot crushes them on price and inventory. Home Depot is pretty likely to have what you need in stock. read more

Tonight at 7:30pm I went to Home Depot to update a phone number this evening on my account for a flooring quote (for backsplash) that I am waiting on to do in my kitchen. I walked around the area and didn't see anyone, so I browsed around thinking the associate stepped away for a moment. When I went back, still no one. No biggie, so I went to the customer service desk to see if they could could help call the associate up to help. When I walked up to the customer service desk there was three associates standing watching a video on the gentleman's phone, during that time the customer service phone rang and the one associate went to answer it. As she spoke on the phone she went back to watch the video on the gentleman's phone. I stood there waiting and when the gentleman finally looked up after the video was over, he asked what he could help me with. I asked for someone to be page for flooring and I would meet them at their desk. I walked back to flooring and a man came, took my name and number, logged on the computer and told me he wasn't able to help. Honestly, I'm not upset with the man who met me in the flooring department and couldn't help me further. What was most disappointing experience was the lack of customer service from the three associates at the customer service desk. I felt as if I was a bother for them to help and that this must be how they typical treat all customers. read more

Not a fan of this place. My wife came here to pick up some laminate and she was rudely helped. The guy gave her the wrong transition pieces as well. We bought this around the end of December and she had to wait for awhile for a guy to come help her. When he did, he was condescending and just plain rude. He also was wrong about a few things. Thanks a lot for training your employees so well. I stop in here from time to time and it makes me realize why I go to the Blue Hardware store. The prices are cheaper over there and everything seems easier to find. I found saw blades for half the cost of here. The last time I was here, I actually found a worker who was helpful and congenial so not everyone is worthless here. I will only be back because they carry the laminate I bought if I decided to do the kitchen as well. read more

This Home Depot is the definition of mediocrity. It's in a somewhat isolated location and not easy to find. More importantly nobody seems to care if you're there or if you buy anything. If your stuff is out of stock (and mine was) you are out of luck. There's a store policy that if your item is out of stock they will bump you up to the next higher value item for the same price. However, in my case the next higher value item was also out of stock and they refused to bump me up to any other product. That's not the customer experience you're looking for and certainly not a reason to go out of your way. Other locations are better. Go to the Sawmill Rd location or West Broad location instead. read more

We were in the Hilliard store last Saturday May 2nd to buy a couple of doors and hoping to rent one of their trucks to get them home. When we arrived there were two trucks on the lot. We thought.....great should be able to get one of them. WRONG !! By the time I got to the counter; where they rent the trucks; one was in use; loading lumber; but there was still one truck on the lot and no one in line in front of me to rent it. I was told by the employee behind the counter that the truck sitting on the lot with no one in it and no one in line to rent it was "spoken for". I told him that I didn't know that you were allowed to reserve the trucks. He said "you're not" but you can "call ahead" and put your name on a "list". Put your name on a list and reservation sounds like the same thing since the end outcome is the same. So the bottom line is that there was a truck on the lot ;available: not in use that I couldn't rent because it wasn't "reserved" but some ones name was on the "list". Glad it wasn't reserved. Home Depot your truck rental policy stinks. Should be first come first served. read more

I LOVE HOME DEPOT!!! They have never disappointed me! I have ordered appliances- delivery- flowers and everything else one needs to run a house. I even had an incident with an appliance order being canceled. I admit I was a bit perturbed, but their customer service phone associate worked with me and quickly took care of the missing order. Actually nice to talk to a person on the phone. I also like Home Depot because I have not heard of the company or CEO taking a political position one way or another. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!After all---- both parties- all political affiliations shop Home Depot !!!! Come to this store if you have animal allergies and enjoy having your allergies kick in! They allow pets. Yes, they have to allow service animals but apparently, they allow pets! Nearly every visit, I encounter a dog walking the store or in the cart with its owner. Clearly NOT service animals as a trained service animals are not going to drag its owner through the store and mark every corner! You can also park in handicapped spots with out the placard! I mean, who cares if some me else NEEDS THAT SPOT! The sled are cramped with stock not getting put away, the selection of countertops is minimal and check out is pathetically slow. I guess I'll have to shop at Lowe's from now on. read more

The good- The two stars are for the friendly staff. They were polite, and at least made an attempt to be helpful. Coming here to look at tool boxes and chest freezers, though, was a complete joke. There were a grand total of zero freezers and a total of 3 or 4 tool boxes in a very unorganized section. Thankfully, they did at least have one of the ones I went there to look at after finding online. I bought it and, after some confusion by the employee in where to load it at, finally pulled around to get it loaded. 4 guys and a fork lift was like watching a circus trying to get it loaded. Again, they were nice, but they didn't have the first clue what they were doing, and had no business trying to handle loading such a large, expensive item.. into a vehicle. Thankfully the damage to tool box and truck were minimal, but both unfortunately still happened. This store needs much better organization and employee training. read more

I dealt mainly with Riley who was incredibly helpful and patient with our inexperience. If I could give this store negative stars I would! My husband and I built a new house in December, and because we had gift cards, we bought our custom blinds and our garage door opener though this store, and we had our garage door opener installed through this store as well. It has all been a complete nightmare. Dealing with Lawrence in the blind department was annoying enough, he was extremely slow and not helpful. After picking our custom blinds, he scheduled someone to come measure our windows, but never told us we needed to come back in afterwards to pay. After our windows were measured we waited about 2 weeks, then my husband called to see when our blinds would be done, only to find out they hadn't even been ordered yet, they were waiting on us to come in any pay first! No one has ever called us to follow up and tell us we needed to come in to pay. We were on vacation for 8 days when we called, and they were going to refuse to put the order in until we could pay when we got home. The argument that followed took multiple calls to Home Depot while we were trying to enjoy a family vacation. Then, when our blinds were finally done and were ready to be installed, several of the blinds were the wrong size and had to be re-ordered, and there was no type of rush or urgency placed on that. Needless to say, although we ordered our blinds a month before our move in date, we went about 3 weeks without blinds in our home due to the carelessness of Home Depot. We still had one large blind to order for a sliding glass door, and after this mess we went to Lowes to order that, and the treatment and customer service we received at Lowes far exceeded our experience at Home Depot! Now, within 7 months of our garage door opener purchase and installation through Home Depot, our garage door sensor has gone bad. My husband has been calling Home Depot for a week with very little help. Some of his messages are just not even returned at all. You shouldn't have to constantly call a store to get the customer service they are suppose to be providing!!! Finally, a week after our first call, he is told today that the wrong order was placed, and they essentially had to place another order to have someone come out and look at our door... so essentially, the past week of daily calls to Home Depot was a complete waste of my husband's time. The bottom line is, I would NEVER buy any custom product or Installation service at this store.... do yourself a favor and save yourself the time and the headache and drive 5 minutes down the street to Lowes where they care about customer satisfaction. read more

The worst experience ever! I placed a large order and they scheduled me out 4 weeks later for delivery. Got the day off from work for the delivery date. After waiting for 4 weeks, I get a call THE DAY BEFORE the delivery and was told that they would not deliver anything for another week because a dryer in my order was out of stock! What a joke! Lowes has a much better customer service! This has never happened with them. I should have known better! If they push your delivery out several weeks, be careful... They don't have the item in stock but they want to make the sale! read more

The help here is second to none. A good amount of people on staff actually know what they are talking about which is unheard today in America's corporate big box chains. I needed help on multiple projects for my house and someone there always had the knowledge to help me get the job done. It's the only hardware store i will go to in the Hilliard/Upper Arlington area. The staff is not helpful or knowledgeable to put it mildly. I have gone into this store on several occasions only to question my decision. On one occasion, I asked for drywall. I was told that the store didn't carry drywall. When I pointed it out, the guy said that he did not have time to cut it. On another occasion, I looked up the item that I needed online and wrote down the aisle/ bay. When I got to the store, a staff member told me that the item was not carried in the store. She told me that I had to look it up in the computer in the store. I did and the store did carry it. She followed me back, trying to convince me that it was not what I needed. She told me to go to target. Yesterday, I went into the store looking for nails. I asked a staff member where the nails where located. He seemed not too happy that asked and could not understand what I was asking. I also had two people approach me in the store about trying to get my name to sell me home renovations. I am not sure if my experience is typical, but this is ridiculous. read more
