If I wanted to be accused of stealing on the way out I would go to Walmart. Bella is an extremely rude employee treating us like we knew nothing on how scan out items and check out a card. Time 3:10 date 12/7 . Absolutely wouldn't wanna come back to this location because of this. Whoever your employee is you need to check her I don't need to be stood over when getting checked out. Don't fall for the HVAC system COUPON SCAM. Someone at HD approached me with $2500 in coupons to get a new HVAC system. The vendor they use is ARS who came to my house and said I had to decide that day to use the coupon which did not give me time to get a second estimate or check reviews online. BOTH BIG MISTAKES. Bought a gas range with delivery. The delivery was late even with a four hour window and they did not deliver the $40 gas line so now it's thanksgiving and I have a range but no gas line and the store is closed. This is the 7th or 8th appliance I've bought from this location in the past 18 months. This is the worst experience yet, partially because it's thanksgiving without a stove. This Home Depot is a bit tougher to get to than it needs to be. It is located at the end of a long strip mall, on the opposite end of the Target. Once you are there, they do have a huge parking lot. The store is always very clean and organized and the staff is upbeat, friendly and helpful. I have been here quite a few times and has always received the best service. Checking out is easy, whether you use the self check out or go to an actual clerk. I hope they are able to bring crafts back soon. My littles really loved it. This Home Depot is on the better end of the company's franchises. I have enjoyed coming here and look forward to coming here in the future. read more

My mom and I came here recently to get a key copied. The service desk told us where we needed to go and paged an employee to meet us there. The employee came quickly and got started on making the key. He did try and persuade us to get a "fun" key which costs extra but we went with the basic $3 one. He did tell us about this cool feature Home Depot has where when you copy your key at the store- you can create a PIN number on this app and if you ever lose a key- you can go and get a copy without the original. Seems like a wild concept but interesting. They seem to mainly rely on self checkout now so we went there and they did have an employee helping with large items but we were in and out. read more

This home depot is right at exit 103 at southport on I65 in the shopping complex which has super target, Kohls and few other shopping places with couple of dinning options. The parking is big and the staff is helpful, they keep asking you to assist you and have enough options for your any home development needs. read more

We got carpet and flooring installed two years ago. It was never installed correctly and we noticed it was separating from the tile floor area between the hallway and bathroom. Recently we've found that the stairs carpeting is coming up and three stairs have carpeting that you can lift right off the step. They installed the carpet in pieces instead of all one piece, which I've since discovered that it should be installed as one piece, not a section for each stair. I've been trying to get this taken care of, but I haven't been able to get ahold of the person in charge of carpet warranty at the local store. Hopefully I can reach them soon to get it taken care of. I've never had issues like this with any other carpet installations. read more

I purchased a carpet in early July 2019 from the Home Depot in Southport, IN and had it installed on July 26, 2019. After installation I saw a problem with the alignment of the connecting carpet seams causing the carpet to come up and some of the carpet strands coming undone. See attached pictures. I contacted the Southport, IN (Store # 2012) store several times since my purchase and she arranged for the installers (Crew2) to come out to see the issue twice. The installers could NOT fix the seams or the issue with the loose strands and I am stuck with this defective carpet. I am looking for resolution of this problem. No one should have to accept such poor quality for what they paid! read more

My husband and I were shopping for a new large tool chest for him, his birthday was coming up 4 days later. He hasn't had a nice one for a very, very long time. We had searched a few places and finally decided to purchase from Home Depot. A large 40" wide Husky Tool Chest for $800. They did not have the one he decided on in stock at the Southport location. We ordered it on Home Depo.com, paid for the delivery charge. He also requested it come assembled. This was this past Saturday, April 8. My husband received a call stating they could not deliver Sunday, April 9, although that was a choice online. He was also told they do not have anyone to assemble it. He said that was fine. Delivery by DHL was scheduled for Monday, April 10. It never was delivered. My husband called Home Depot and they told him that it couldn't be delivered until the next day, Tuesday, April 11. They first said it would be delivered in the morning. It did not come. He called and they told him it would be delivered between 6 pm and 8 pm that same evening. We waited and nothing. He called again early today, April 12 (his birthday) and they said they couldn't get DHL to deliver it. My husband asked them to just cancel our order. They did. Horrible communication and Custer service. Sad. read more

I took my kids to craft day. They made a Father's Day trophy holder for dad and the other child made his for grandpa. Each child gets a kit, you take it to a table, and as a family you follow the directions and make the craft. They had all the supplies and extra paint colors. It was also free . What a train wreck! Buyer beware! Went here to buy a range/oven. Brought it home Sunday and discovered two days later Tuesday the igniter was faulty and melted (in a gas stove, which could have blown our house sky high)... Receipt said we have 90 days to return it... Went back today Wednesday to return it and was told they have a 48 hour return policy on appliances. Asked to speak to the manager and she wouldn't come out of her office or wherever to discuss the matter... She was basically hiding behind her clerk. Service desk clerk was rude and dismissive. Appliance clerk was rude and dismissive. Now folks, I have a brand new GE range/oven they fell all over themselves to sell to me, which I now will have to wait a week and a half to get repaired. What a sham. Update: "Jan" the manager called tonight 8/23/17 and left a message to call her back. When I called, no one picked up the phone at first... Then the customer service guy tried to place the call to her office. No answer... He said she wasn't answering her phone. Then, we noticed our Home Depot rating was gone off their website... I can't recommend this store. Customer service and management are terrible. There are customers waiting for 30 plus minutes while store employees wander and unload trucks. Terrible experience. If I could give a negative rating I would. I typically don't give bad reviews but this is just to much. Came to pickup a smoker grill that was supposed to be delivered. Wait d almost 45 minutes in total and I was the first at the desk. This is why store fronts will be a thing of the past in coming years. No one cares about the customer experience here that's for sure. There is another customer waiting here in the same but. Not fun times. I needed a lawn mower and went every where tonight Lowe's, Menards and the Home Depot. The first two stops were horrible no one at first place could help me and the second stop was someone from a different department. I had questions and really needed help and education before making a purchase. I decided to hit up Home Depot as the last stop on the way home. I couldn't have been more happier with our experience. Bill was amazing and was able to answer any question I had. You could tell he really cared about us and getting the answers we needed to make an informed decision. I had to get some house keys made so I ran in here. I asked the greeter where to get a key made and he directed me to a machine. After fiddling with it for a minute I realized I had to call for assistance. The worker who knew the section well was so helpful! He got me two keys made in less than a minute. I just took them to check out and that was it! Great location and service! Give it a try if you're needing some keys made! read more

OPEN A CHECKOUT LANE!!!! instead of having two old ladys standing at self checkout bugging and asking if you found everything once you're already checking out. Then if you shrug them off they act like your the problem. This has been going on a couple years and the only thing that keeps me coming back is milwaukee and klein because service sucks at the check out lane or lack of. I refuse to buy anything of quantity here anymore because I know ill have to check myself out which makes me furious when employees stand there watching and judging me do their job. Don't let my appearance fool you, I am not a handy guy to have around. If something needs fixed, it's up to my dad or hired help to take care of it. Seriously. I can screw in a light bulb, change a tire, mow the lawn (with a lawnmower that needs no tinkering) and that's about it. As homeowners, however, we have to hit up home improvement stores from time to time and this one is pretty good. They are a little higher than the Menard's right down the street but they have a bigger selection and offer a 10% military discount, something Menard's discontinued last year (on Memorial Day weekend of all times), so we usually shop here. The service is also excellent. Friendly and knowledgeable employees. Check out the workshops. We went here for a short free workshop on laying tile and then replaced the tile in one of our bathrooms. They also have free programs one Saturday a month for kids. Pretty cool. read more

Went to Home Depot today. Now I remember why I kept driving out of my way to go anywhere else. We had to hunt to ask someone to help. The old man said he'd send someone to help us. We waited 20 minutes for help and no one came. And we had to hunt to find another person. I checked the menards website to see if they had what I need. Surprise!! Everything was CHEAPER for the exact same items. AND they had a wider variety of the tools we needed. And more of the reliable brands with higher reviews. I basically live at Home Depot with all of the home renovations I am doing with my husband. We went in today for a workshop on how to install a toilet taught by Mike Garrett and we feel so confident in just the 45 or so minutes that we had with him! It's nice knowing that a lot of the people who work at Home Depot have some experience in the departments they work in, so you can feel comfortable asking questions. I would have selected a 0 star rating if that was possible. I bought Trex decking material and paid for delivery. They delivered 1/2 the order to the wrong address 50 miles away and planned on delivering the other 1/2 of the order 2 days later. This resulted in me having to drive the 50 miles back to store to have them track down the wrong delivery and then making sure they got everything on the truck and then I had to drive back the 50 miles to make sure they delivered it to the correct location. Then for the icing on the cake they told me I would get a 11% rebate on the over $4000- purchase only to have the rebate denied. Needless to say, I won't be using Home Depot in the future. Worth paying a little more to not have the entitlement of the bigger stores where they can treat people like crap and assume they'll keep coming back bc it saves a dollar. I like these big box hardware stores because they stock almost everything for home repairs, just wish I could ride a segway in the store cause they are so large, ha. I got a new spa tub for a bathroom remodel and the staff was very helpful in loading it for me in my truck. The prices are low and they price match, they're open early til late night, have friendly helpful workers, and decent prices. read more

I hardly ever come to the Home Depot, but we were pricing dehumidifiers and were in the area. The employees were really friendly and helpful. I'm used to the Menards employees that don't really know much of anything unless you find that one. This store was really easy to navigate and nice wide open aisles. The garden center was pretty nice. We weren't in for very long and found exactly what we wanted right away, another difference from Menards. Ended up leaving with a couple of bug lights which were cheaper than anywhere else we looked. Dehumidifier was same price as other stores. read more

I shopped on their website for a new dryer. I checked, using their "store locator" to verify this was a stocked item. I went in to purchase one, and they let me know they did not stock this item. I attempted to order one to the store, but this was not an option. I asked if any other stores would have it, they checked, and let me know that it was not available at other stores. The only way to purchase this was to have it delivered, paying about $70 extra. I'm perfectly capable of installing the small duct work and plugging it in. Prices on some things are pretty fair, but after their reluctance to offer any type of resolution I have not shopped here. read more

I am in Georgia and wanted to surprise my sister (who lives about 7 miles from this store) with a new gas grill. Everyone I talked to on the phone was very nice and thorough. The grill was not in stock and needed to be ordered. The employees stayed on top of it. The assembler showed up the morning after the grill arrived at the store. The staff was able to get the grill delivered that day!! Going the extra mile to get it done. I was amazed when my sister sent me a picture of her new grill in her driveway fully assembled. This was a great experience. Customer Service, Outside Garden, the Assembler and the Delivery person all worked in unison and was able to make it look easy. read more

Do not purchase any appliances from Home Depot! I purchased a new washer/dryer set from them over a week ago, and they were delivered today. Only problem was that a part needed to stack the units was broken upon delivery, and I can't use the appliances until we get a replacement. Guess what? Home Depot doesn't sell the part! Even if they did, they hire a third party to deliver and they have nothing to do with Home Depot, so they are absolutely no help. I call the number on my paperwork that is for this exact reason, and they put me on hold for over an hour!! They were trying to contact their parts dealer and NEVER got through! Wtf?! They said for my inconvenience they would credit me $140. Ok that's cool, until they found out I payed cash, then put me back on hold for 10 more minutes, only to tell me that since I paid cash, all I can get back is $100. Apparently paying in cash decreases any inconveniences you may have. So after all of this I was told to call back Monday and start this whole process over because they can't get their hands a part until their parts dealer decides to answer their phones. I can order this part tonight on amazon and trip over it in the morning when I go out to get my paper. Yes I'm more capable than a billion dollar company with unlimited resources, who specializes in this department! Only problem is if I do that, I then void any and all warranties and responsibilities Home Depot has. So do not I repeat DO NOT buy appliances at Home Depot! read more

Went in to look for countertops. The people in that area couldn't seem to get it together. They had to open another customers file in front of me to try and figure out how to quote my countertops. This was after fumbling around for a few minutes to find one. Will not shop this location again. Only have star because the app required it to post this. read more
