Home Depot is in need of an overhaul! Help was very sparse; Although the few employees I encountered were extremely helpful in giving me directions to find certain items and checking me out there's still lots of improvement needed to improve the stores shelf presence. The shelves were poorly stocked and the items that were on the shelves and in the bays were not clearly labeled. Maybe they were waiting on a truck delivery, but as of right now, this was not the store for me. read more

Ordered a bed frame. Received the wrong size. Called customer service. Lies were told. They sent a packaging slip for one box after mentioning there was two he said that that would be fine. UPS came to pick up. And would only grab one box because that's what the shipping package said. All on Home Depot not on UPS he was going to make another run to come get it tomorrow if I got a packaging slip. UPS then kept me on the phone for 22 minutes trying to sort out the first customer service services mess up. Horrible experience and now having to wait 14 to 16 days for a refund because they have to wait until both boxes are in their possession. Nothing will be done no compensations literally just wanted them to send me the right size bed but no, they only did a refund and I have to deal with them yet again I was told that I need to also call back to customer service to hopefully get my refund sooner. So another phone call that I didn't have to make and probably be on the phone for another 20 minutes. read more

Service- nonexistent, sadly- no hello, many averted eyes- clearly a 'bide my time til my shift is over' scenario! Selection- Plants (herbs, veg, etc.) are in BAD shape outside- they need qualified plant folks to stop torturing these poor plants!! I would have bought some if they hadn't been starved, dehydrated & disease-ridden. Countertops I came to look at had no samples available. Value- nope! I hate when items are tagged one way on display, then marked up when you go to check out. PLUS all the checkout lines (save 2) are self-checkout here. I was self-checking my purchase, saw the item was mispriced, & literally found NO ONE to help me. So I'm standing there looking around while the system then advises me that it is recording me. Thus I get to experience my flummox live AND in playback mode (whilst I stand there). Huge waste of time - walked out vowing never to return to this location. read more

This Home Depot is a calmer facility compared to most others. I believe it has to do with the location, away from the main streets and thoroughfare. Parking was very easy and convenient to park near certain doors. Signs inside were well-marked, and I found what I needed quickly. I decided to use the self-checkout for 1 item. Overall, a good visit and I plan to revisit this place over Lowe's or ACE hardware locations in the area. read more

This is one of several disappointing experiences at Home Depot. I know there are mom and pop hardware stores in the area, try to give small businesses more money and not these giant lazy warehouses! I stood in the tile section this time for about 15 minutes while employees walked around and never once asked if I needed something so I went to Customerservice and asked for someone to come to Flooring, went back and waited another 10 minutes. Went back to Customerservice to check and she seemed like she forgot me actually and like I was talking to her for the first time, never apologized and no one was there never cracked a smile and looked annoyed to have to even help me. Nobody came and I finally just left. Meanwhile employees walking around. On my way out one asked me if I needed help I said yeah She said I don't really know flooring - let me let me try to find someone. . No one came. It's just so rude and lazy honestly. read more

Our washer went out at the end of October 2024, after serval weeks of looking for a new set, I found one online. For some reason the website wouldn't do what I needed it to, and the prices kept changing. I printed what I had off and went into the store. One sales associate in the back tried to help me but said she had to hurry up and get off the clock and that I needed to go upfront. While up front I ended up talking to Ethan (not sure what his position is) but he was FANTASTIC, he understood what was going on and fixed the issues I was having quickly. I was looking for a 9x7' area rug today. Found exactly what I was looking for. These rugs were all unrolled and lying on a table. All rugs were priced at $196 and $207. The one I chose had a wonderful texture, very soft and smooth-almost felt like velvet. There were 2 rugs with the pattern I chose and 2 more made of same fabric blend but a different color and pattern. Even the backing was the same on both sets of rugs. When I got to register, the price rang up at $289. It was exactly like the other 2 rugs which were marked $196 except the color and pattern were different. Same exact material. . I asked to speak to the manager to correct the price. Stephanie( the manager) refused to honor the price which should have been $196 which was what the other two rugs similar rugs were. They didn't have a tag on them so she denied our request. Needless to say I won't go back to Home Depot. read more

Great sales this weekend got me to drive to Home Depot after placing an order on line. I received a text when my order was ready. Upon arrival I decided to shop for a few other items. I brought my dog as he loves to go with me to the store. Home Depot has mulch on sale for $2.00 per bag. They typically cost $4.97. My car would only fit 10 bags. There were guys outside ready to load my car for me. I was very appreciative. Great customer service Home Depot. Thank you! Everyone at this store were very helpful. The store was clean and fully stocked. I almost bought a drill but ended up deciding to wait because there were too many choices and I needed to know more before spending the money. read more

I had the displeasure of poor service from Home Depot. After ordering a Southern Live Oak online, it was slated to arrive Sept. 16 via FedEx. FedEx indicated that the package was delivered. However, it never showed up. After contacting both Home Depot and FedEx, they both said there was nothing they could do to contact the other party. This wild goose chase is an example of terrible customer service and a total lack of care about their customers. I bought ryobi combo deal with brushless Reciprocating Saw on feb 2022. Fast forward to jan 2023 and after cutting first tree reciprocating saw broke where the front shoe came out. I put it back but it moves now. I went to Home Depot for some help but Home Depot at Kannapolis do not have any technician to check out the tool or tell how to fix or tell cannot be fixed. They asked me to go to Mathews Home Depot where technician will check for 30 dollar. Next option they gave is to call ryobi because I have 3 year warranty. Pissed with Home Depot because Home Depot agent recommended me to buy ryobi which is why I have ryobi trimmer, power driver, reciprocating saw etc. And now they are telling they will discontinue my model reciprocating saw. Advice: 1. Do not listen to what Home Depot salesman recommends 2. Kannapolis Home Depot do not have one technician to tell if the tool is broken, or fixable or not even a problem. Regarding ryobi, I need to call in to find out what will happen with warranty. read more

We drove there from Salisbury to purchase a lawn mower. We had to find someone to help us. They were out of the mower we wanted. I asked can you order it for us and was told I would have to order it on line. I am a older adult and,I do not order on line. It is just not home depot,we got the same treatment at Lowes. Lori is an absolute super star, with a real understanding for customer service. Often sales people just point you to the location of the product you are looking for, but Lori goes the extra mile, literally. She walked through garden to locate the outside dining set in storage we were looking for, then she walked the store to fetch a lift operator to pull it from the overhead racks. But it didn't end there, she then scrambled to setup the gates, got out flags and made sure all customers were safe. Then she found someone else to help us load it into our SUV. She's awesome! Craig Menear should be very proud of Lori as she appears to inspire all those around her with her infectious positive can do attitude. read more

I've been in line for 40 minutes and wandering why I came here. Extremely understaffed and no care.

No one answers the phone ever. I have called several times and someone picks up the phone and immediately places the call back on hold, or rings another department and the same thing happens. Even the equipment rental department doesn't answer calls. You are a business, answer the phone. I have been on hold without a single person saying a word for 10 + minutes at a time, several times. I have called 4 times in the last 4 days ( once a day) for a total of over 30 minutes on hold with no one ever actually picking up the phone. Current hold time 11 minutes and 27 seconds. read more

The answer is that "the computer says", what an idiot statement to make. Take responsibility and correct the problem. Two weeks ago my husband picked up a dozen bales of pine needle mulch for my gardens. When he brought them home, they were infested with ants, twigs, they were wet and soggy, dark brown with mold and mildew growing inside them. Clearly they were from last year and not fresh. This is the second season that Home Depot has mulch has been a poor quality. This will be the last season that we purchase any from Home Depot. I found a fantastic little family run nursery nearby us in Mooresville. It's called Brawley and Company. We just picked up a dozen fresh light brown colored Pineneedle bales from them for. $4.50 a bail. Well worth it! Other than that, we usually like shopping at Home Depot. The working man's hardware store. But this time, I will only give them a one star for poor quality pine mulch. read more

We have relied on Home Depot so much this past year in buying our first home and renovation projects throughout. We specifically appreciate Keith, who we originally encountered in the appliance section last year, who later helped us get a great deal in purchasing and eventually getting two front doors installed. Folks in paint, tools/screws/etc, and all the cashiers have been awesome as well. This would have been a five star review if it weren't for one of the order fulfillment or customer service ladies who worked in the back. I'm not sure her name or title but she was exceptionally rude to my husband and I, risking the reputation of an otherwise awesome store experience. I really like Home Depot. I will often go out of my way to shop there but the managment really needs to be honest & not just tell people what they want to hear in order to make a sale. I was trying to find out if they had any paints or carpets made in USA. By the way, after serious research-THEY DO NOT. The carpet sales girl was at least honest, went on line & I was able to see they have plants in many other countries but her manager tried to say they were (because they have a USA corp) The Paint guys said their paints were made in USA, and we don't have any China made paints. Then I wondered why its not on the can like Benjamin Moore's which clearly says USA MADE. I found out that legally they can't say its made in USA if all or most of it is not. PPG used to have a plant nearby but now has plants and even does R&D in China where they require all your data to go to Chinese gov. And Behr cannot say made in USA because they have plants elsewhere and source components elsewhere. I felt as if HD didn't care and just wanted to make a sale. USA made mean USA jobs, we should all care. read more

We were buying flowering bushes, mulch, stone, and dirt today. Kate in garden was amazing with knowledgeable advice and going to pick out plants that would be perfect for our needs. When I mentioned wanting flowers to help the bees, she disappeared and showed back up with flowers that attract them. 5 stars for Kate! read more

Do not buy a Glacier Bay faucet at Home Depot or any other place that sells them. Glacier Bay claims that defective parts will be freely replaced for the lifetime of the product. That is FALSE. Their Customer service Dept. claims they will respond to your E-Mail inquiries within 2 business days. I have sent them 3 E-Mails a week ago with no response. Next time I will buy a Delta or Moen. If they had only sent me the parts I needed I could have made the repair myself. Now I will have to buy a new faucet and pay a plumber to install it. Other than Glacier Bay, I have had no problem with the merchandise sold by Home Depot. read more

Very bad experience when I purchased six appliances that were never shipped. Waited five weeks and they wanted to extend it another three without a confirmed delivery date. The customer service was horrendous. Was promised two call backs we never received and it was very clear they didn't care if we cancelled our order or not. We did end up cancelling. Overall it was just okay. I found what I needed but no cashiers to check out. They had floor associates on the floor in departments but only one person at self check station that only had 1 of the 4 stations working. What's the point to have people all over the store and no one to cash you out. Had to wait several minutes to leave. The line for self check out and commercial desk were 4-5 people deep. UGH...If you are a business card holder it takes even longer because the cashier must be waited on to come over and see it you and Id you to complete the transaction. Need better concern to get us out faster! read more

SELF CHECKOUT EXPERIENCE WAS AWFUL! I decided to use the self checkout due to the fact that I had four small items. I thought the self checkout would be easier, boy was I wrong! Long story short, the scanner would not scan some small angle brackets I had selected. The store associates were no where to be found. The female associate who was just at the checkout to assist the girl in front of me, had walked to the registers to the right of the self checkouts. The self checkout requested an associate, as did I but no one came to help. I waited for nearly 10 minutes for someone to help, and this was after other customers noticed me becoming upset at the lack of customer service... Finally an associate named Stacy, who was previously avoiding eye contact, asked if I "needed something?" I advised her the self checkout had been requesting assistance for some time now. She asked what "the problem was?" and I told her the angle brackets "wouldn't scan." She repeated, "They WON'T scan??" and I said yes. She carried them over to the employee terminal and entered the barcode manually. There was no option for me to enter the codes manually on the customer terminal, or I would have. Why have a system which requires an associate if that associate is going to walk away while customers are checking out. There were four other associates to my right, but none noticed the red light flashing at the top of the self checkout lane. It seemed no one knew what a flashing red light meant. I was very unhappy with the excessive amount of time it took to checkout, due to being ignored by other associates. I was more unhappy with the bothered attitude of the female associate, who appeared to "see me" before she assisted me... After I started to enter my payment the associate lifted up the glass and manipulated something near the laser scanner, and she said, "this thing won't quit scanning." I suppose that meant there was something wrong with the self checkout station, but it was not taken off line. There appears to be several training and customer service issues at this store. I will never use the self checkout here again, if I even decide to return to this store. There are other hardware stores in the Kannapolis area. read more
