Garden dept. today. Got some bricks out of the display that was clearly marked $.25/each. We get to the garden dept. checkout and the lady( Gwyn)says that they're $.59. I said that the sign said "$.25/each". She's says "no, the red ones are $.25/each". I had to carry them back and get the red ones, which are also marked $.25. Then she won't let my wife pay for the supposed right ones while I go back and get them. She says "I'm not ringing them up until I make sure that he gets the right ones." Like I'm going to pull off the big brick heist by taking the wrong ones which in fact, aren't the wrong ones. I get it that it's hard to get competent help but maybe a little training is useful. I understand that it's hard to teach someone common sense . Another issue, in the lumber yard, they have all the lumber carts parked in front of the pressure treated 2/4and 2/6. Difficult if not dangerous to have to climb on top of the carts to get one of the more common items of dimensional lumber. Management is really setting the store up for trouble there. read more

Ordered some laminate flooring for the ENTIRE home (probably an $8000 job). Tried to get the person out to measure the home for the amount of flooring to be delivered. At first they were suppose to call within 24 to 72 hours to confirm the date and time. They never called. I had to call the store. The store called back within minutes to say the service person would call me the day of my service between 6am and 8am to let me know when they are coming that day. I paid $85 for "delivery" of a small refrigerator from this store, just four blocks away. Their website promised they'd bring it up one flight of stairs and into my kitchen, perfect for my needs. To confirm, I called twice. Yet, two men showed up only willing to leave the fridge on the sidewalk, claiming they couldn't deliver inside. What was the $85 for?! Yesterday I went to Home Depot because I was aware of the O-Cedar mops clearance deal. I found this deep clean mop in the section priced as 17.97. When I came back I was told by Faith & Ms. D that I could not get this mop for that price because they placed it in the wrong area with the wrong price tag. They no longer wanted to assist me and were rude about it. Ezra (one of Home Depot's friendly employees) said she would take down my information just in case she finds an O-Cedar mop that's on clearance for an even better price. We usually come here for the odd paint project or garden item. They have a huge array of various cleaning supplies (here for that today). There's even a dedicated end cap for Swiffer related products. There's a huge selection of items that range from outdoor chairs to grills. They have a section towards the centre front of the store that has seasonal items too. They have special free projects that they'll do on a weekend morning (check with your local store) for kids. My child joined one projects where you make your own birdhouse. When we've bought paint from here, the employees were good about answering our questions in regards to low voc, wear and child friendly/will it clean easily. So in that department, they have some well educated people who know what they're doing. We've bought a few appliances like our refrigerator, deep freezer, microwave and dishwasher. This Home Depot location makes sure that the people working in specific departments know all about the items they sell. There wasn't any pressure to buy the most expensive item or to get a warranty. The only time we've had pressure sales setup stuff happen here is at checkout. The cashiers will ask a few times if we want to open up a credit card or buy a warranty (contingent on specific items you buy). If you get here on the weekends, you're better off going when the store first opens. It truly gets crazy crowded by 12 noon. read more

Absolutely awful experience! I bought $3000 worth of appliances and after delivery I had some issues so I went back to the store to ask for assistance or advice. The staff was more keen about their concern that I may be intending to return the appliances which I never said. I explained my problem and asked for how I can fix it. Instead they quickly called the department manager which is essentially the barking dog that pushes people away if they come back with any issues. As a respected member of this community and a physician surgeon, I will never return to Home Depot again. Went to Lowe's and from now on intend to go to Lowe's or elsewhere for any of my needs. Now I understand why the same appliances took so much longer to be delivered from Lowe's than Home Depot. It appears that Lowe's is where costumers are gravitating and trusting. Michael (African-American, bald haircut Store Associate) happened to walk by the store's lumber department and saw Jonathan (Caucasian younger Store Associate) helping me cut some "Waterproof baseboards" by hand (since they cannot use the store's electric saw to cut vinyl or pvc baseboards), and Michael told Jonathan: "You're doing the right thing by putting the customer's needs above all else; You're doing VOC." Jonathan replied: "I don't know what VOC is." Michael said: "Voice Of the customer" I needed 8 pieces of baseboards cut, and Jonathan answered the page for assistance in the lumber department. After cutting two pieces, he told me: "Ma'am, this is not a workshop, and I have other things to do." BUT, after Michael recognized Jonathan's customer service, and explained what VOC was, Jonathan stayed and cut all the baseboards I needed!!! So I went to Home Depot yesterday to get lights and a few other holiday decorations. While the store is always pretty busy unless you go really early, I appreciate that the store is always very clean. There was something on a high shelf and all the way back I couldn't reach (yes, i am a little tea pot short and stout). There was a young man named Michael stocking close by so I asked for his help. He tried to reach but he was also too short. Long story short he dropped what he was doing and went and got a ladder and got the item for me. He didn't just do it...but did it with a smile on his face. I really appreciated the good customer service. I also appreciate how fast the self check out goes. They must have the systems calibrated right because I am able to get in and out pretty fast. :) Looking forward to my next shopping experience. read more

Home Depot has what you need to keep your home standing. I am a do-it-myself home owner and find myself shopping at Home Depot at least once a week and frequently more. Home Depot offers reasonably priced goods and more often than not they have what I need. My home has two teenagers and two full grown German Shepard dogs. It seems these two teams compete daily on which is going to tear my home apart. Usually the dogs win. So when it comes to fixing fences, painting rooms, building a backyard deck, fixing the sprinkler system, putting in a new garage door opener, replacing sinks and faucets, patio furnishings, power tools, garden supplies and etc. I shop at Home Depot. I go there for propane too but lately their automated dispenser has been on the fritz and if they don't get that right soon I'm going elsewhere for propane. I like the people who work at Home Depot too. Usually if you need help you can ask and get expert advice. I say usually because it's always there but sometimes they're busy with others. Lately I've come to enjoy the Home Depot app for IOS. That is a great tool for find where stuff is located in the store. read more

On October 14 I ordered a washer and dryer set from the Grand Parkway store and was promised a delivery on October 18. On Tuesday the 17th I get a text that my delivery had been rescheduled for Saturday October 21, no phone cal beforehand no other notice, just a unilateral text saying this is the way it will be. I call the next day to reschedule and request an explanation. I was told that it was because LG hadn't delivered to them; no apology just blame it on the manufacturer. I rescheduled for October 25 and got a text confirmation. Today I get a new text telling me my delivery had been rescheduled for the 21st again. As before, no call beforehand, no explanation, just crickets. Tried to call the number online which was a bust. Managed to once again reschedule for the 25th but at this point not sure what will happen. I'm not optimistic. The sales associates at Home Depot were friendly and helpful but once you get into their delivery system it's grade d amateur. Home De[pot needs to hire someone for their systems that has a clue about customer service. This will be my last major appliance purchase at Home Depot. read more

Faily solid Home Depot. Went there about 4 times now and each time was fine. Biggest issue was when I bought a new drill which said they had to take to the front for me. I saw they had more expensive drills setting out, but ok whatever. Then had to wait until someone was free and could find my drill which took a bit long than I think it should of. Wasn't a huge deal but does show some possible things they could improve. Prices and selection were fine. Every time I needed someone to help normally I could find someone rather quickly. Overall pretty decent Home Depot. But if your getting something they need to take to the front just add more time to your trip and it will be fine. read more

I needed to buy some tile, the guy at the tile department told me he didn't know and pointed at 2 ladies in the appliance department, and told me to ask them. I walked to the appliance department where Patrice was standing next to another employee. We asked for help and we could not even finish our sentence when she interrupted and said "it's going to be a minute". She kept on talking to her coworker as we stood there. Finally she finished and said "yes what do you need?" I told her I needed a certain tile and she responded "well there is no tile in this department" like I know there is no tile in the appliance department but that's where the tile person sent me so why does she have to be so condescending and rude about it. I visited this location two times within a week. First time, I needed to get some duplicate keys made. No problem, the lady that helped me was extremely friendly and efficient. Second time, I went to purchase a 10 inch rough-in toilet. I couldn't locate any on the shelf. I asked an associate to help me. He said there was one in stock somewhere on the shelf. Apparently, a 10 inch rough-in was an endangered specie. He said the store only kept one in the store inventory regardless of what brands were posted on the web site. He couldn't locate the toilet and he asked another associate for help. After another 5 minutes of searching, they finally decided to check the inventory on their phone. It turned out, none was in stock. I asked them to check close by stores' inventory. But both walked away instead. I was super unhappy and went home to do my own searching. I located a Home Depot brand on line at the North Katy location and purchased on line for curbside pickup. I wanted American Standard or Kholer brand, but I couldn't wait to special order. I will still visit this store since is the closest. By the way, Lowes doesn't even stock any 10 inch in any store. read more

I purchased the door the material paid for installation a month ago paid $40 for them to come out take measurements and get the right door they come out they have the wrong door tell me they're going to come out the next day with the correct door I wait all day and get a text at 2 o'clock Saying that the door is not in stock and I'm gonna have to reschedule OK so I go to the store and at this point I just want my money back the manager tells me I can only get my money back Monday through Friday what and I need to see the door in the material well, I bought the door and the material. I didn't walk out the door with it I paid for it the installers was gonna bring it and put it in, thank God there was a gentleman name Mason that worked there and I was able to get my money back for the door in the material that I bought from Home Depot and now they're telling me the installation fee that I pay pay, which was about the same much as I paid for the door I can't get that back until Monday through Friday between eight and five. Granted I work 9 to 5 and I have spent all day Saturday all day Sunday wasting my time, my valuable time waiting for them to come install a door never did and I paid for this like a month ago. It's just on all levels Home Depot customer service sucks and the manager sucks. I placed an order for a door to be installed almost a month ago. Today I tried to call and ask about the status of my door, and what do I get? A phone ringing for almost 5 min and then some picking up the phone and leaving it off the hook. Before this I tried calling earlier and they let my phone ring for 15 min before I gave up and hung up. This Home Depot hires a bunch of idiots and placed my life in danger. I am unable to walk, and have braces on my legs. Their scooters have been rigged so that the safety device has been wired around. The scooter is supposed to warm you when the batteries get low. This has been bypassed. I was stuck on a scooter for 45 minutes with no way to get off until my son went and brought me a rollerstor walker. I sat on the seat, my son pulled me out. If there had been a fire in their store, I would have been overcome by smoke or burned to death. HomeDepot sucks. I used HomeDepot.com to order a new GE Profile oven. I could have, and should have bought it from Amazon. Why? Because HomeDepot delivered the oven, removed it from the box and left it on the floor of my kitchen. The delivery crew said the installation crew would be by later. They never showed up and I never heard from them. I called HomeDepot and they referred me to GE, who said I didn't have installation on the order. They had me call back to HomeDepot. On the second call to HD I was told they don't do wall oven installations. When ordering, I watched a video on their site talking about the installation procedure, and the first rep thought my installation was being done by GE, but no, they don't do installations she assured me. Then she says the local store "owns the order" so I have to talk with them. Talking with the local store I learn they don't accept returns, and in order to get help with installation (next week) I need to come into the store. This lady blames HomeDepot.com, but fails to understand she works for the same company. So, now I am stuck for days with a dangerous, sharp metal, uninstalled oven in my kitchen. I would give zero stars but I am forced to at least select one. I purchased a refrigerator on Black Friday 2020. It was never delivered. I called in January 2021 and asked about delivery. The rep in major appliances basically blamed the late delivery on Covid. He spoke to me as if I were a bothersome woman that was wasting his time for having the nerve to question the delivery of a nearly $3000 purchase. He said the new delivery would be March 9. On March 8, I called HomeDepot's appliance number because I did not want to talk to "Mr Helpful" again. I was told that Home Depot had a system wide mess up on Black Friday and that my order had fallen through the cracks. The gentleman told me I would have to cancel my order and then reorder. I mentioned that the fridge had risen significantly in price. He assured me he would match the price and give me an additional $150 off for my trouble. I said I could not afford to purchase the item again until I saw the credit to my card. He said I could call back anytime and receive the price match and promised discount. On March 22, I called again because my order showed no changes. The representative assured me he would cancel and reiterated the original rep's promise of a price match and additional $150 off. On March 26, I finally saw a credit for the purchase made in Nov 2020, (Yes, 4 months after an order that was never completed. I basically gave Home Depot a 4 month interest free loan. I purchased in good faith and Home Depot failed to deliver and frankly did not care.) After seeing the credit, I naively called to repurchase. After several hours on the phone, home depot REFUSES to follow through on their promises. The refrigerator has jumped over $1000 since I purchased it on Black Friday. I purchased in good faith, home depot failed to deliver, and they continue to screw me over. The last person I spoke with acted as if she were doing me a favor by offering $500 off the current price. She said the manager at the Cinco Ranch Home Depot could not follow through on the promises made because it would hurt his bottom line. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? All I wanted was the refrigerator I purchased on Black Friday. Shame on me for trusting Home Depot. Shame on me for ever stepping foot in this lying, thieving establishment. Be careful who you have trim your blinds here. There's an older woman who does a nice, clean job(props to her), but the guy who trimmed the last three I bought completely destroyed the ends on all of them. You know.. I use to think that coming to Home Depot with my husband was sheer torture. I mean I'm a girly girl. I love the color pink I love wearing makeup and high hill shoes. I mean I love everything pretty and studded. I hired Home Depot to a bathroom remodel , and had to wait 2 month for them to start. The day before the start date they sent a supervisor to look at job to be done. At that time I was told it could be done. So I spent 2 hour on the phone with their credit department only to be past around and then hung up on. So if you think of using Home Depot contractor I would pass them up. Their credit department is like trying to get one their sale personal to help you at one of their stores. Terrible. We've delayed our renovation for 3 weeks waiting on a vanity that was supposed to have arrived 3 separate times. We called corporate customer service, customer service at this location, and even walked in to stand in front of them until someone acknowledged we existed. People promised package delivery dates 3 separate times, people promised to call back and then didn't, we were told we'd be compensated with a gift card and didn't receive anything, we were told a special 'resolution' team was assigned to us, and as it stands.. we still don't have the item we ordered. I can't believe anything they say because they've already told me the same thing 3 times in a row. The in store customer service desk is understaffed and customers out numbered staff 6 to 1. They rarely pick up the phone when we called before going and it was clear that they practically never pick up the phone while you're standing there too. No manager in sight, nor apparently willing to even grace the front counter with his/her presence. If we ever do receive a gift card it will likely be the last time we ever shop at home depot again. Update: Now they've changed the delivery date 4 times! We're having to beg them to let us go to the shipping place and get it ourselves! read more
