Be a smart consumer and get it price matched with their major competitors. I showed the clerk my online order from Lowe's and of course they're going to scrutinize the part and part number. It's the same part that's differentiated by a letter B at the end. So, she called the manager and it was approved with a "one time courtesy" adjustment. Why wouldn't I request a price match to Lowe's price of $5.50 each. That's a $15.03 delta. I saved 73%, a total of $30.06. I will have to check back as the clerk said that the printer was not working and she'd have to follow up and complete the refund to my credit card on file. That's fine with me, I had things to do and trusted that it'll be handled properly. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at the Home Depot in La Mirada. Before driving to the store, I called to make sure someone would be available to rekey a Schlage lock. I was told someone would be there until 12:30 p.m. I arrived at 10:45 a.m., only to be told that the person who does rekeying had already gone home and no one else could help me. The most frustrating part wasn't that the service wasn't available--it was that I called ahead specifically to avoid wasting a trip. Instead, I drove to the store based on incorrect information and was simply told to come back another day. Better communication between employees and more reliable customer service would go a long way. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling like my time wasn't valued. read more

I embarked on a wild goose chase across Orange County in search of the ridiculously popular 4 ft. Animated Disney Holiday Goofy Animatronic that Home Depot is selling. As I rushed from one Home Depot store to another, every single Home Depot rep I chatted with was super nice and helpful, making me feel valued. It was so sweet to see how bummed they all were that I was driving around like a lunatic, until finally, the lovely lady at the Garden Grove Home Depot hooked me up with a pre-purchase of the Goofy from the Home Depot in La Mirada (I think La Mirada is LA county ) The price is $199.99, a total bargain because the Goofy is adorable. read more

The truck itself worked fine, and the rental process was straightforward. Unfortunately, the return experience was very disappointing. I only drove the truck for about 5 miles to transport a small tree (around 100 lbs). When I returned the truck, the fuel gauge appeared below where it had been when I picked it up. To make sure I returned it with enough fuel, I actually went back to the gas station three separate times and kept adding more gas. In total, I added 4 gallons, which is far more than a truck should use over a 5-mile trip. Despite my efforts, the employee still acted as though I was trying to avoid refueling. That was very frustrating. I did everything I could to make sure the truck was returned properly, yet I still felt like I was being treated as if I were dishonest. I understand that employees need to verify fuel levels, but relying solely on an analog fuel gauge isn't always accurate. Large truck fuel gauges can be imprecise, and adding a few gallons doesn't necessarily move the needle the way people expect. I hope Home Depot considers using a more reliable method to verify fuel usage, such as checking fuel receipts, rather than assuming customers are trying to cheat. A little more trust and better customer service would have made this experience much more positive. read more

This is a smaller Home Depot, and one that doesn't offer tool / equipment rental. While this place is closer to my house, I prefer to go to the Home Depot in La Habra which is bigger and offers tool rental. I will say the handful of times that I have been here, the employees have been kind, helpful, and friendly. read more

My GC uses Home Depot since he a VIP member and gets discounts due to the volume he purchases annually and it's convenient since they're located everywhere in So Ca. I hired him to remodel my 72 year old garage which needed some TLC. He purchased lumber, drywall, insulation, electrical items, cement, epoxy finish, decorated flakes and blinds. It took my GC to complete the project in 2 1/2 weeks and I'm really happy with the end results. read more

I went to buy a plant and planter as a wedding anniversary gift with my husband. upon check out we realized the planter was missing a barcode, to which the sales associate made it seem like it was our mistake?? she unsuccessfully tried to look it up on the home depot website and then went to go look for it outside in the garden area, leaving the checkout stand without telling us where she was going or what she was doing. she came back unable to find it there as well, she then asked us to estimate how much we thought it was for and after paying i decided to go look for myself and found the same planter with a barcode on it in no time, when i brought it back to her and asked her to check the price she said "well you already bought it" and after asking again she scanned it and it rang up $20 less than what the estimate was and sent us to the return line. when we got to the return line the first thing that sales associate said to us was "so who guessed the wrong amount?" No one at this store apologized for the inconvenience or the store failure to put barcodes on their products or for the incompetence of the other sales associate in being unable to locate the planter with a barcode. what started as a fun thing to go do ended taking much longer and a lot of annoyance and judgment from the employees at this location. no apologies or accountability on the staffs part read more

At the cash out, we were asked if we found what we needed. We were looking for a door we didn't see in stock. Employee, Kim turned out to be the Store manager. She found exactly what we needed and went beyond excellent customer service. All other employees from the guy with equipment to retrieve the door and 2 others that helped were knowledgeable and personable. It was a Sat afternoon also . I asked about plants turning brown and he looked at me like I was an idiot and said he can't really help since it could be overwatering, underwatering, wind, or sun. This location is smaller than others but the service is amazing. I can find what I need easily and staff will find in another location for me if necessary. The special buys are definitely something to look for as the disc range from 10-35 % off. They are very good at price matching so they can have the lowest prices guaranteed. I really love this Home Depot during the holidays. For Halloween they have a little pumpkin yard set up in front and for Christmas, they have Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus photo op in front. Nicely decorated and very friendly staff members. The closest location to my house is the one on alondra but that place so so hectic, messy and full of unhappy employees. This location is a breath of fresh air. Items are nicely stocked and friendly service folks. What I also love is the availability of cart collector areas AND a trash can tied to each cart collection area. This is serious business and definitely promotes a cleaner environment. Will continue to come to this location for my home remodel project needs. read more

It was a typical Home Depot except for all the building supplies are in the back. So as a contractor, if you need to get it, that's where it is. Typically it's upfront I'd prefer that.. There's no people working there either huh I'm gonna. I didn't see anybody on the floor working, but it was closing time on a Sunday. It is a little smaller than most HD's. July 6, 2024 After being misdirected to item I needed. I walked up to 4 HD associates standing in a line talking to each other. I stood in facing the 4 associates where all 4 can see me and they ignored me. I stood about 7 feet from them patiently did not say a word and waited for them to finish their conversation. I was not in a hurry. Then 2 of the associates look at me and turned around and walked away. The remaining two kept talking to each other. After about a minute of waiting, I raised my hand in the air, not saying a word. The 2 remaining associates kept to their conversation while facing me. After about 15 seconds of keeping my arm raised, I started waving my arm hand in big wide arcs like at a concert. The two kept ignoring me. After about 15 seconds of waving, one associate look at me, slightly perturbed, asked if I need help. Was this a rhetorical question or an insult? She guided me to my item and walked away The ages of the 4 associates ranged from I guest early 20's to 50's. In the past 2 years I personally have spent $50,000 in home improvements at HD. $25,000 remodeled bathroom and home improvements and in April of 2024 $22,000 on a new A/C. I pray that workers in America may find some pride in customer service. read more

I have been coming to this location for about 25 years and I think it'll be my last now that the store got rid of cashiers and forces the customer to do self checkout. Not only does it take away from the customer service experience I've always appreciated, but it's hard when you have large or many objects and having to squeeze them into the tiny area PLUS having to scan everything yourself. Home Depot doesn't pay me a salary to do that. Looks like I'll be going to Lowe's until Home Depot brings back regular cashiers and gets rid of the mandatory self checkout kiosks. read more

So glad that they have a wide variety of products and you cannot beat the clearance prices on succulents and other plants when it's time to switch inventory. Stood by after being assured someone was on their way for 15 minutes watching many associates walk by with no acknowledgement. Finally went back to the customer service desk and had them check stock, they were out.
