I am absolutely disgusted by my experience at this location. I went to get a Melamine board cut (very easy one too) and waited almost 30 minutes to have someone come. It seemed like he had never used the machine before and my boyfriend ended up getting on the ground and doing it all himself (and getting himself covered in sawdust!)- then I go up to check out and a cashier named Ofelia comes over and slams my board down (keep in mind this is for a white vanity so it needs to be in good condition) I tell her and she continues to be rough with it. I try to check out with a visa gift card (it was my first use with it) and she had the NASTIEST attitude I have ever experienced. Telling me my card is declined over and over, so I use my bank card and finish the transaction. I let her know that a simple smile wouldn't kill her- and she proceeds to throw the receipt at me and storm away. I went and spoke to two managers and they didn't really even seem to care at all. This is definitely the last time that I will step foot into this store- I should've known better to shop anywhere else than Lowe's. read more

Our family ordered some custom blinds. It's been way over a month and so far, the wrong blinds have been delivered to us twice, therefor causing the installer to not be able to install our blinds twice now. Everyone involved swears it's not their fault and our family is very unhappy right now. We will take our business to Lowes from now on. read more

APPLIANCES-- DO NOT BUY ANY OF THE FROM HOME DEPOT!!! Buy from AMAZON!!! The manager at the Lancaster/20th St. West store, Kelly in appliances is rude and treats customers like a dog. Patrick the assistant store manager pretends to be helpful but the only words that come out of his mouth is there's nothing I can do it's between you and LG because 48 hours have passed. Home Depot only have 48 hours of return/warranty regardless of date of installation from their own people!! A NEW LG washer broke in less than 48 hours after installation. I called Home Depot to report and now they say they have no record of my call and that I canceled the service call. Even though I have proof on a text msg with LG, that I did not cancel the service call, Patrick refuses to allow me to show it to him. Home Depot refuses to replace it, even though LG WASHER has a recall. Even though Home Depot knows there are issues with the installers, they will tell you that it is your problem between you and LG. Home Depot says they do not sell the appliances. Appliances that are not physically in the store, you are not buying from Home Depot you are buying from the company who makes them. Home Depot does not care about their customers. TO TOP IT ALL OFF THE INSTALLERS DID NOT TIGHTEN THE GAS LINE TO MY LG DRYER AND GAS WAS LEAKING IN MY HOUSE FOR 3 DAYS BEFORE I NOTICED THE SMELL!! Plus they bent the pipe that comes out of my wall for the dryer vent and did not fix that either. Home Depot didn't care. Not even an apology and still will not do what's right!! A $1000.00 Washer broke and is now grinding on 2nd mini load and I'm stuck with it. The installers refused to install the washer because they said I needed new hot/cold valves...I didn't, but had to put out the $$$ or they would not install. We have spent thousands of dollars at Home Depot but no more!! If you value your money and the hard work it took to make that money, BUY FROM AMAZON... they have a 30 DAY return no matter what brand you purchase. This is the second time this happened to us. We forgot about the first time, because that time the oven we ordered was too big and because we were doing renovations installation took a week after delivery. Oven was never opened. And our contractor read the dimensions and it wouldn't fit. $7000.00+ would have been lost/burned. Had to fight, but they took it back and charged us a hefty restocking fee, but it was better than losing out on $7000+. So the next oven wall combo we purchased was an LG from Amazon. We have no affiliation with Amazon all I know is that Amazon has a 30 day return policy and Home Depot has a 48 hour one. Which one would you want 30 day or 2 today? That's all I'm saying...LOOK AT Home Depot's RETURN POLICY!! You don't have to believe my story, but if you care about your hard earned $$$$$$ READ what their return policy is on any appliance!! read more

OK I had to go to H.D. for a door...Finally I dealt with "super star" Mike in doors. He answered all my questions, helped me chose an item that suited "my needs" not the stores "profit quota" . I thought I would have to buy a router to mortise my hinges on this blank door...Mike informed me that all I needed was a drill !! saving me over $100-$200 (cost of a DeWalt router). Mike has added two stars to my review of Home Depot...if all their departments had employee's like Mike...it would be a five star store !! read more

Does anyone work here? There are some people who are out there helping and you're the real MVP but there is almost no one on the floors helping in amy department. You have to hunt people down from other departments and they call people and it takes them forever for them to arrive and help you. Today I had a really good experience at this Home Depot. The service reps went out of their way to help me. It's amazing to see another employee a little bit later who makes conversation about my conversations with her earlier. The guy who cut my laminate was so extraordinarily nice as well. The guy in the paint dept was so nice. I'm taking this time to comment because I go to this store several times a month and today realized I haven't given all the wonderful people there credit for all the help they've been (and continue to be) in helping me remodel my home. Called this Home Depot after a Google search for a hard to find bathroom vanity size. Talked with Bernadette over the phone and she went above and beyond to assure us the right sized sink was there before we made the drive from Santa Clarita, where there were none in the size we needed. She was cordial, helpful, and solved a big problem for us. Only issue is the store dos not have the side pieces to go with this particular sink. We will have to drive elsewhere for that. But kudos for having a caring and helpful employee who didn't mind burning the calories and doing the work to lead us right to what we needed. Way to go! read more

ROMELL AND MARIAM (in the paint dept) were by far the best employees I had ever met at a Home Depot. Today is my 2nd day living in Lancaster, in which I spent Both days at home depot. They were beyond patient and helpful with whatever I needed. I was having a hard time deciding in paints and they went above and beyond to help me out. They went as far as creating me their own paint colors to match what I needed. And not once did they make me feel rushed. If I still wasn't sure, they said hey let's try again. They were truly incredible employees and I will return to work with them again. I am so thankful that I found 2 wonderful employees that still did their job, kept the line moving, assisted other customers and still made the tomato help me above and beyond. Its really not the employees fault if they dont know jack about drywall. The kids they got running the joint are helpful when it comes to helping me find the bathroom or something like that, but then again ive been in there back and forth because im always getting helped getting the wrong stuff, so thank gosh i know where the restroom is. Just purchased a new swamp cooler from there and I love the way they have everything out on the floor so you can see them and someone is around to answer questions. This store will not honor US Veterans without being on VA medical benefits. CA drivers license has Veteran status right on it but apparently they don't allow that. When asked what is needed they said VA card. VA cards are only given out to veterans on medical. Total BS. Went to Lowe's, easy peasy, got my veterans discount. Lowe's for life now! read more

I will start this review by saying we have been loyal Home Depot customers for years. This was the store we frequented often. That is until today. We were mainly shopping for our home renovations today and we needed some linoleum flooring, backsplash tiles, and some upgrades for our faucets in both bathrooms. We were there for almost an hour without a single associate greeting us. When it came to the tile we picked out some subway tiles we liked but most of the ones on the shelf were broken so I searched for an associate to help us. She was busy so she called for someone to meet us in the aisle. We waited 20 minutes with no assistance. Three associates walked by and looked at us and not a single one offered to help. We became frustrated and decided to go elsewhere for tile. We gathered up our remaining items that we needed (which took extra time since a lot of the aisles were closed with gates, almost none of which had associates present) and went to check out. There was only one check stand open, but we were offered the option of self check out. We had too many items for check out so we waited in line. I cannot believe the lack of customer service at this Home Depot. They were short staffed which is understandable, but to have multiple employees walk by without even greeting us is ridiculous. We will find another store to shop at from now on. read more

If it's the wrong size again, I'm taking this straight to court and a full refund will be issued to me for the carpet in addition I get to keep anything they bring here and make it rugs for my house. I'm only giving this store 5 stars because Phyllis in Kitchen & Bath is hands down incredible. I have never had customer service, from anywhere, like I have had with her. I moved and I am saving up to completely revamp my kitchen and I decided to give Home Depot a shot. Right away her beaming smile and fantastic personality just radiated and within minutes I could tell she knew exactly what she was talking about. Phyllis will actually LISTEN to you and your desires/needs instead of just being an annoying salesperson trying to close a deal. On top of that her attention to detail made me feel very reassured and actually excited about doing a remodel. My only regret is that I couldn't pay for anything right then, but I will absolutely be back when the budget is ready because this lady knows exactly what she's doing!!!!! read more

Lous and Lue were not able to price match something we purchased at Walmart we purchased the whole pallet of bricks they had in stock at Walmart (which walmart price at a bulk)and decided to go to Home Depot to purchase another pallet to help complete our project, they refused to price match at all and offered only to sell at retail even through we had a receipt to price match and were willing to buy the whole pallet. Went in recently to get some blinds for my window. We didn't know what we were doing or getting. I measured before I left to make sure that they will fit. We searched around for someone to help us. We asked one employee that was walking around the area and he said I'm on break and walked away. Some of the workers aren't very friendly. So know what your going in for before you go. read more

I ordered a large amount of flooring and was told, as per the sign, in 5 business days. Well they pulled the old bait and switch at this store. I checked on the order after the 5 business days and was told it would not be in for weeks and discovered it took them several days to even place my order. When I asked for a manager, I was connected to Liz. She was RUDE and did not seem to care. I asked for the stores General Manager and she lied to me and said she was the GM. She is not, she is only an assistant manager. Beware this store. If you want to shop at HD, do yourself a favor, and go to the Palmdale store. They have good customer service. Very disappointed in my visit to Home Depot. My daughter and I went in to buy items for a raised gardens (had a list but a few questions). Took forever to track down an employees and when I did he was leaning against the lumber .... on his phone. He wasn't helpful, seemed annoyed that I even asked. Once I got into the garden area, I had my flat cart and again couldn't locate an employee to help lift the large bags of dirt I was buying ... leaving me and my 11 year old to try and roll, lift the bags. Even more appalling was when I pulled up the car to load (to the door). Employee were standing around eating a 'customer appreciation BBQ" and not one employee offered to assist (load the bags and/or lumber) into my car. What happened to customer service or just plain manners? Thinking I will have to just start driving across town and go back to Lowes. read more

Had to get a 5 trellis (I think I spelled that right) to anchor to my backyard wall for the jasmine flowers to spread out on. In and out no one said hi and couldn't find someone to ask a question in the garden center. There was probably 5 employees but none of them would slow down to ask or even make eye contact with you. I usually do all my garden shopping at Quartz Hill Garden Center but they didn't have what I needed. That's why the HD gets 3 stars they always have what I need. Update SEPT/2018 : This location has greatly improved. Two stars added. [Old Review Continues...] For some reason, out of the ten home depots I use regularly, this one is the worst. The cashiers are practically hostile, the stock is a mess, and other than a great electrical guy who was filling in a few months ago it's just creepy. No one seems to care about anything, other than screwing around all day. Maybe the store is in a failing CA parolee-to-work program -- generally the employees have zero interest in hardware, the store, or the customers. They'd rather be anywhere else. Unfortunately this one is closest to my route, and when time is tight I just grit my teeth, pick up what they have in stock, and run the gauntlet. Otherwise I drive the extra 10-15 minutes and enjoy a normal home depot. read more

ATTN ALL VETS - Home Depot has a new policy re: their MILITARY DISCOUNT. The only military disc they honor is ACTIVE, RETIRED or DISABILED DUE TO MILTARY. They NOW DO NOT CONSIDER us short term vets (under 20 yrs) worthy enough to get a MILITARY DISCOUNT. I fought in VietNam served 2 years there. Thank God I came back whole but I served not knowing if I was coming home or not. I SERVED & PROTECTED MY COUNTRY freely & for HOME DEPOT telling me I dont get my measly 10% discount thats bull. Please let all ur brothers & sisters that served proudly like I had NOT TO SHOP THERE but go to LOWES instead. They honor ALL VETS jyst showing them proof as ur VA CARD & sign up. Then when u check out give them ur phone # & WA-LA ur 10% discount us given. We as vets dont get the recognition that we deserved especially from all HOME DEPOTS. I called HOME DEPOT customer service & apologized for any inconvenience but then told me that they do give other military discounts 3 times a year HA HA HA. Some time ago I emailed both "Home Stores" asking for a donation for a Veterans Day event for a local fraternal org. the "other one" didn't even bother to answer, Home Depot answered & cheerfully donated generously to us. Now I see they have also donated to the Mojave Elks for an event they put on for the Veterans Home in Lancaster, Ca. Three cheers for Home Depot.
