This was the worst experience I have ever had in a Home Depot. And I have been to Home Depot in Los Angeles. Let me get this out of the way, it's a Home Depot. Okay? It's exactly what every other Home Depot is. So why was this experience so bad? No one was helpful. Okay, there were three people who were helpful, but one was new, and the other two weren't able to help me. No one knew where anything was. I was sent to three different locations for one item. One person who worked here literally asked me, "Well where would it be?" (She kept saying she didn't have a phone). I looked straight back at her and literally responded, "I don't know. I don't work here." It was awful. Avoid this location at all costs, if it's a "one off". If it's your usual Home Depot you'll probably be fine. read more

Staff went above and beyond for me and my wife. My wife had accidently left her wallet at check out, and shout out to the clerk who found my wife's name on Facebook, sent a professional and discrete message, which saved us a world of headache. They kept the wallet securely on protocol. --And very insightful when I needed input on an obscure adapter. I hear the low-rated reviews. But that's never been my experience, and as Liberty Lake locals, we visit regularly. read more

Service: Continually going down hill, when I started going here - everyone was more than helpful. Now I have to hunt for someone who usually is put out I found them. This new front door harassment has to stop, I walked by the air duct cleaner guy 4 times today, twice with my dogs, once when I came back by myself and again when I came in with my wife. When I tell him "I'm Good" don't question me and say "Oh your good? You know what this is huh" I said, "Yes this is my 4th time walking by you." And he says "Oh really 4th time huh?". Yes it was and harassed every time the same way. Makes me not want to go to this location anymore. Selection: They may have it, it might even say in stock - but that doesn't mean they will get it for you. If something is in stock and out of reach where they would have to get a ladder or shut down a isle to get it, they will pitch a fit about it. Value: Check the prices, I was looking at a Hamilton Beach outdoor heater. They had big signs and tags saying 159.99, but the box said 129.99. Same deal with Outdoor Defense, costs more to get a refill than one with a handle and sprayer. Many other items too, just check before you go in. Cell service is dampened so you are forced to use their wi-fi. This controls your location look up and prices. read more

Very helpful staff. Kudos to Trevor at the lumber section. Assisted me with cutting wood and was cordial and patient through the entire process. A great asset to your store. They also had the lumber I needed in stock, and found wood I needed from their discount pile. I had first gone to their competitor. But their saw was broken, and I could not find someone who could assist me with looking for the items I needed. read more

Would like to thank Sam in the Tool Rental (in the 1pm hour - Saturday) for his genuine kindness in helping to get (1) small cut for a piece of ceramic tile I needed to finish my kitchen tiling project. I told him if he had to charge me for a rental that would be great m, but he said he couldn't see having to make a rental for one small cut only to turn around and bring it back. Thank you, Sam!!! This is my favorite Home Depot in the area. I think the employees are a good notch above the employees at the SV Home Depot and the other local store. It seems like, whenever I have a DIY question, they have an experienced contractor staffing the department who give me great tips and information, even if that includes sending me to another store to buy a particular item. Also, their inventory is usually well-stocked so I don't have the frustration of being told that they are out of stock. Good job! read more

I do not normally leave reviews, in fact I had to ask my grandson to set this application up for me. I was Amazed with my experience last week that a review for this one young woman was much needed. Came in last week for a couple two sided tape. Not surprising as usual all other employees just sent me on a goose hunt with aisle number and letters. I have no idea what end cap means even if it struck me right between my eyes. Walked further into the store near appliances, I heard a young woman singing and greeting her other coworkers and customers while tugging a load twice as big as her. It seemed she loved what she does and continued smiling. I watched her hurry her way from one end of the store to the other several times. She definitely have that energy to pull so many pallets of merchandise. At one point she stopped, greeted me and ask if I needed any type of assistance as she smiled and catching her breath. In fact I explained I needed just a couple things. She set aside the pallet she had and introduced herself as Vivi. We walked down to the paint area and directed me exactly where it was. She was very patient with me as I explained what I needed it for. I am glad that she helped me when all others just pointed. She also offered to get me a cart and suggested I keep cool in this hot weather, I got myself a cold drink on my way out. Thank you Home Depot Liberty Lake. You need more Employees like Vivi. Way to go hiring an outstanding woman like her. I am sure to return more frequently. My grandson and his wife met her and was delighted with her customer service skills and personality as well. read more

The staff here is helpful, when you can find them. The selection here seems less compared to some Home Depot stores. I frequent this one because it is close, but it seems a lot of times I end up having to go somewhere else to get part or all of what I need. If you are special ordering, the people who do that are fairly knowledgeable and helpful, but you are placing a special order so that is kind of a bare minimum in my book. Overall, this place is not bad if they actually have what you need in stock. If you are looking for something a little unique, I would recommend the Home Depot on Sprague by Costco. read more

C'mon this is Home Depot, what can you say about the home improvement warehouse of every community across the country. Here's my findings, consider this a synopsis of sorts. I was thinking I should install some metal roof panels on my backyard pergola so I went digging online to figure which store had the type and price I was willing to pay. I found some panels but they were 12 feet long and a pain in the ass to load and secure in a standard pickup 6ft box. DELIVERY is quick. Yes the store charges 80 bucks to deliver to your front door. This fee seems a bit steep but consider the time, effort and worry averted by a simple delivery fee. The driver had my roof panels loaded onto a shipping pallet and placed in my driveway--I will use this service with all of my large oversized projects. read more

The sub-contractor they used was River City Solid Surface in Spokane. Tim and Jason were on time, professional, and did a great job with some added craftmanship that showed pride in workmanship. We have greatly preferred shopping HD in Liberty Lake vs. Coeur d'Alene (CdA) or Spokane - Sprague... So much nicer layout, friendlier associates, roomy parking lot.... and NO obnoxious speed bumps. My only complaint has been with the same lady at Customer Service. I would much rather lodge this complaint directly on a HD web site but since they don't offer that opportunity or one for a Customer Satisfaction survey... I'll state my complaint here. (Interesting the places who do offer surveys usually do not have issues or address them quickly.) HD has a great return policy with no hassles... except for this lady. I was last interrogated about my return and wanted a valid reason for returning the item.... although it was clearly never opened or used. Today, after purchasing a product that had been clearly opened, repackaged, and clearly marked at a discount (with a bright orange label including the discount price and a UPC symbol), the cashier rang up the original price. Not a big deal, I at least caught it once I got to my car. I returned thru Customer Service Returns and explained the error that occurred only 2 minutes earlier. I was then shocked to hear that I was to blame. I was told there were several new cashiers added recently and that I should have clearly notified them of this price change. I mentioned that I indeed positioned the item on top of all the other items and oriented it in a way that would be obvious. Then I indicated I was distracted from actually seeing the price ring up or I would have said something then. The Return agent accepted this as a confession of my negligence.. which really got me steamed. Since I purchased two different sizes with the intent to see which may be better suited for my application, I planned and will need to return one. This will NOW be going to the CdA store where I will make additional purchases. Customers have options and do not have to put up with unmerited rudeness. I would hope this Liberty Lake employee could be reassigned to the Paint Dept where, after reading other comments, it sounds as if extra help is needed anyway. read more

Upon moving to this area, I did a little test between Lowe's and Home Depot, as they are nearby one another. I went to Lowe's, stood in the tool area, and it took 15 minutes for an employee to ask if I needed help. When I asked him my question, he didn't know the answer, said he would go and get someone who did, and never came back. When I went to Home Depot in Liberty Lake, I was immediately offered help, and the employee knew exactly what I was asking and helped out. This has continued each time I go there. Whoever trains the employees on customer service and knowing their stuff is a genius. read more

Was painting on a budget before the wife gets home for the holidays and HD had an awesome sell during veterans day weekend so I too advantage of the sale. Paint Department Staff A++++ Helpful but not pushy Understood I was standing around waiting for a "woman's opinion" on my color choice. Maybe he just knew I was color blind from the choices I made. Glad I waited. Picked up a few other things that I needed and I was out in a flash! Not really I walked around for hours getting ideas..... My husband called in to talk with someone in the lumber department. He was transferred to a gentleman who proceed to tell him he didn't have time to answer my husband's questions. Yet when my husband call the Coeur d'alene, ID store the gentleman was very helpful! One other thing to mention call before you go to the store because the inventory online is not what they have in the store. In this case - none! read more

We live virtually right in between the Liberty Lake and the CDA Home Depot and have shopped at both stores. The conclusion we've made is that the Liberty Lake store is now our local store: much better parking, not as crowded/cramped, seems more open and the by far the most important, the associates are so much nicer and helpful!! Selections are the same though Liberty Lake seems to have a bit more and we may have to pay higher sales tax than at the CDA store but the "atmosphere" at Liberty Lake is well worth it!! We're both retired and have a limited income but to us the atmosphere (politeness of the associates) is well worth paying the few dollars more in sale tax!! read more

We are very much reconsidering where we shop for home improvement products. We are located pretty much right between the liberty lake store and the valley store. The customer service at the liberty lake store often leaves a customer wishing for more. Over the past few years we have bought and remodeled a few distressed homes, home depot has seen most of the business. On 2 occasions recently we felt like the woman who works in the department to cut blinds would rather not have to cut blinds. In fact on one order we asked about sizes, options, measurements etc. She quickly answered told us where to find a guide down the aisle, then turned to walk away. I guess she feared we were going to select our products for cutting. I had to catch her, we were having several cut. After each one she simply tried to leave. Ugh, also turned out she sold us to many slats for a blind she cut, slats were custom cut, luckily I pleaded a good case to get a refund for custom cut blinds. This past saturday we blew up out garage door opener, so off to home depot for a new opener, picked up a shower head also, then ended up in appliances where we decided to buy a new gas range, with the sale going on if you buy a 2nd appliance you get $50 off. So we picked up a dish washer for the lake. No lie , they were not busy but it took 30-45 mins to order these products, we were being helped by a very helpful young man, but must have been new or maybe not his department. He was asking for help from the 2 ladies that appear to work the department. Well I don't know if this staff is on commission, but I'm guessing so because they offered very little help. this happened like 5 times as the young man tried to get our order in. He was very nice and seemed to be upset he was not able to provide us with better service. Each time a girl from the department came over they acted as if they were being asked to dig a ditch in frozen soil, and in the end one of the girls took over the order, and rather than take the time to show the younger lost employee the steps she just did it. So we pay and leave. That was sunday, today at 5pm we get called by homedepot. Saying a computer glitch did not order our purchase, and would not be in by friday as promised. This man calling was not sorry, seemed to have just cared less. again blaming the computer. So we kinda resolve it, however we are not getting the range on time for installation for thanksgiving. So once we agree to a reorder I ask to talk to a manager, saying between the ordering process and the failure to order the appliances we are kinda upset. No manager, but we get a clearly already defensive assistant manager Joyner. I explain the service we got in the store, and now our order not being processed, but our card charged like $1300. She said, sometime on the weekends orders do not go thought, blah blah blah, once she was done talking I say. So what your saying is placing orders on the weekends is not a good idea at home depot, she replied saying thats not what she said. I said thats what I heard as did my wife as we were all conferenced. Wel guess what, forgetting a run a dash cam in my service truck that records voice, I replayed the phone conversation via my dash cam. Her words " unfortunately sometimes on weekends orders do not go though " So that tells me yes, it is not a good idea to order in store on weekends in home depot. She stated all order on the weekend are reviewed on monday, so I get that. if you know you have a flaw in your ordering system you are not disclosing to your buyers. But 1st we heard the order did not go though was after 5pm. Really, so that means everyone who bought before 5pm today monday, and likely any sales later saturday and all day sunday were put ahead of us. At the very least I'd think we would have gotten a call before mid day telling us of the error and rescheduling the delivery. But 5 PM was when they got around to it. After leaving the store the day we ordered the appliances, we went home and spent about $1800 online with home depot, I sure hope that order. I think all customers deserve great service, we might not be the best customers Home Depot has but I think we spend much more in there than the average consumer. I really think this location needs a little training in customer service. I think if their system as stated has a flaw for the weekend that should be disclosed to the consumer. I think the kid working the appliance department needs some training, or at least willing sales partners to guide him. Maybe commission sales need to not be a factor? Management was snarky, as was the guy who called to tell us our order would need to be reordered and a delivery date was pushed back. I'll likely swing by lowes tomorrow and see if they would prefer our business and what kinda delivery they can offer instead. Not because delivery was delayed, but more so because of the poor service over all. Hope The valley HD is better! read more

We love Home Depot here in liberty lake except every time we need paint there is one woman running the counter and she always has a line of 10+ people waiting. When we ask for help we hear "no one else is trained on the paint counter". It's frustrating The hardest working staff always around always available and so convenient here in liberty Lake. We've lived in LL for 2 1/2 years.... We built a new home and did some of the work on the home and landscaping....We ran to HD almost daily for months... Always treated well. Not crowded and there are easy to find salespeople.... I find plants on discount in the nursery on a regular basis....I usually dread going to big box hardware stores for the scarce number of employees... But this store is great.. The rental department goes the extra mile and are very helpful.. If I need something cut, they do it Johnny On The Spot...I've made returns with no hassle.... They scan my credit card and I don't need a receipt... I like that I can walk into this store and know I can easily find reliable help and don't have to search all over to find what I'm looking for... Highly recommend... read more

Had a product/customer service issue and completed the Home Depot receipt review immediately got call from the store manager Kristina the next morning. Not only did she rectify the issue but she apologized profusely and delivered an assembled grill to our home and picked up the unassembled boxed grill we had to leave the store with as opposed to the one that was supposed to be assembled. Top notch customer service thanks to Kristina's efforts and she really turned us around on the negative experience we had previously! I shoulda listened to Fred! Fred in tool rental strongly suggested I get the drum sander first for hardwood floor refinishing. I thought I knew better and got the Square buff, only to return later for the drum sander because it is the tool for getting stubborn old finish off. The rental guys and whole store are friendly, wonderful people and this is my favorite home depot. The CDA store is closer but parking lot there is a nightmare and that whole town is one big red light. Come to Liberty Lake Home Depot and you'll be happy! read more

Home Depot Liberty Lake: Delays! Clerks & Supervisor standing around talking to each other, not doing anything. They said I would have to "get in line" for checkout , even tho the "standing around clerk" had earlier helped me. Come to find out, only 1 check out register "at this location." No sign outside saying this was a designated area. I asked for help to my car (I am SR with back pain). They called for "a Loader" but no Loader ever came. Another employee said she would take m items to my car, but the "standing around employees" wouldn't let her. No loader ever showed up, so someone, one of the "doing nothing" employees maybe a Supv(?) took my items out after I complained. Customers shouldn't have this type of experience at a company that "sells itself" as Customer Driven. I will try to avoid going here again. Maybe Lowes next time. I have friends who are area Builders, General Contractors & management at their competitor. I will be spreading the word. read more

Customer service non existant. I tried to pick up an order of tile. Waited over 30 minutes then was given the wrong pallet of tile. I had two more pallets coming and no one came back. After speaking with the manager, Patrick, I realized terrible customer service began with management. You are not treated as a customer, you are treated like a problem. I was only asking for my order and was treated like the enemy. Receiving the wrong tile, waiting over an hour and a half, explaining their error and talked down to for pointing it out. If you value your sanity do not shop at the Liberty Lake store. Rude starts at Customer Service (should be called Customer Training) and ends with a arrogant store manager. It took over an hour and a half to finally get the right tile loaded on my truck. Never again! By the way no one said "I'm sorry for your delay". read more

We recently tried to buy a Washer and Dryer. A pretty simple purchase. When delivery time came, the date was missed bc of a broken down truck. OK, no problem, 2 days later, when it was rescheduled, again, a broken down truck. OK, i know Home Depot isn't delivering the washer and dryer but using a third party, but I paid Home Depot. So we call HD. They are very unhelpful and say they can't get in touch with the delivery company. Finally we get in tough ourselves. They PROMISE first thing delivery the following Monday, meanwhile, laundry is piling up. Monday comes, and nothing, no call, no washer and dryer, no answer to multiple calls. We call HD again, again, very unhelpful. They still can't get in touch with the company. So we went to Lowes, who worked with us to get a better deal even though all the "sales" were over and delivery is confirmed for the next day. Home Depot calls while we are at Lowes and says the washer and dryer won't be delivered today and they don't know when. We cancelled the order and the manager at HD says, well, I am going to lunch, you can come after and get your refund. Lowes just called us back when we got home and is delivering between 8 - 10 am. read more
