Looking to improve my garage storage, I started pricing Lowe's and Home Depot options. Disclaimer: Even though Lowe's is found to be cheaper in most cases, I like the environment of Home Depot and the flow of their stores much better. They usually have friendly customer service and can find you things you and leave with what you needed. This particular location is in a great spot. It's easily accessible off US hwy 78 so I figured it would be perfect to go to. The greeter and most of the staff were really friendly and showed me where the items were. The issues arose when I went to checkout. The rep was nasty as if contactless payments were so rare. The item wrung up as the wrong price and the manager wanted me to go back and show her the pricing. I said I was not. And then begin to say they didn't honor online pricing. I advised her that I didn't ask that and the item was actually priced wrong or located in the wrong spot. She then continued to go back and forth with me until finally agreeing to give the price as advertised on the shelving. In the end I didn't appreciate the experience. It was unnecessary and I wound up leaving without what I came for and ordering it online. I'd rather wait for it ship to my house then to deal with confrontational workers. This is the nearest Home Depot within a couple miles from my home. I'm remodeling my walk in closet so I decided to visit this location for ideas. I found the perfect closet organizer. It's priced in pieces so you can buy whatever you like. At this point I need rack room. I didn't make the purchase bc the sales associate recommended I measure the closet space and add a couple inches. So I did that and my husband and I will work on it this weekend. This will be the first Summer project. The store was busy as you can imagine during the Summer. At the time I arrived it had just started raining. So I took my time looking around. The paint dept was very busy. Long line with 1 associate working but he was moving quickly to assist. I'm going back the weekend to purchase the closet unit. read more

This review is strictly on the experience with a Home Depot employee named Kaleem who works in the appliance section of this store. My family and I brought a dishwasher during Memorial Day weekend and a woman named Kaleem tried to process our order but unfortunately it was the worst thing to possibly happen because this employee not only was so passive aggressive and not customer oriented, but also had trouble listening. She had trouble entering our information and when we had to return to the store because she over charged us for the unit, she acted confused and said we were wrong. Luckily after asking for a supervisor , she was able to add up the price correctly but never apologized for the inconvenience. One the day of delivery and installation, the wrong unit was delivered... Okay no problem so we called up the store but Kaleem was adamant that we must have the incorrect unit returned before she could do anything. So frustrating because she was the one who rung up the wrong unit in the first place! Finally, after returning to the store , asking for the supervisor whose named started with an N and wore glasses (he was so nice and friendly and went above and beyond by the way) he was able to fix the problem by getting the correct unit installed the same day! Hold on though, because before leaving the Store , Kaleem decided to say that she refused to ring up my new unit and exchange the old one because she "will just ring in the wrong numbers again" . I think that was really tasteless and unnecessary. It made me feel as if she didn't want to help me and just fix the error. She was taking this personal. I have had a hard time getting ahold of a remodeling company who was sent by Home Depot - in Aug 2021 - and with whom we've signed a contract and paid some money. I finally went to home depot and Olive was a big help. Not only did she sympathize with us, she called the remodeling company and told them we were not able to get ahold of anyone. The receptionist at the remodeling company was VERY unprofessional and unhelpful. But Olive persisted. And someone DID call us back almost immediately. It's too back that HD had to take action to get us any action. But they did. And Olive was great. Thank you Olive! read more

This is my least favorite Home Depot location and I only come here when I absolutely have to. I feel like this place is about to close down. Some employees are visibly annoyed to serve customers, parking lot is always dirty, even display samples outside are turning customers off. Definitely this place could use some upgrades like the canopy for contractors (typical for other locations) and a new surface on the parking lot. read more

They don't have a tool rental department. Although the store was fully stocked in some areas but the areas that I needed to make my purchases from they didn't have what I was looking for. Customer service was decent; I mean if you are coming in here for something you should have an idea of what you are looking for. I am not a Home Depot fan....or any of the big box building materials stores. I did wander in yesterday to shop for a few timing devices and bulbs. I asked a salesguy in Electrical who told me "hello" but didn't follow through with"can I help you find something"....."where are the plug-in type of timers..." and got a "two aisles over" and went back to what he was doing. No big deal...I had walked past them a couple of times because someone had stowed a hydraulic lift in the aisle in front of them. I was able to poke around the lift and found what I was looking for; boxed up in a unblemished cardboard box for an outdoor multiple timers; and my other selections of interior timers. I spent a bit of time today putting back together a returned outdoor timer that had nothing of the directions, warranty info left inside the box. The timer cam and center plug was lying loosed in the box. There was nothing to indicate how to put the items back together and to cinch the spring loaded activation switch out of the way to allow the timer cam to be seated in a hi-tolerance receptor beneath a spring loaded weather cover. Put together and tested...it worked, but the fact that the unit was returned and re-stocked without checking. NO discount on the unit...it was just put back in place and sold as new. If I were shopping at one of the old electrical fixture outlets that HD helped to put out business, the volume of business and personal control of inventory would not have been an issue. But...it IS an issue for both HD and their big box contemporaries. In old electrical shoppes, there were fixture and component clients...contractors; that knew the score about what was on site for installation. The general public components were made for the general public....plug and play is probably as good a description as any. The idea was....the fixture had to be able to not fall apart or compromise it's UL listing by non-electrican types tinkering with non-general public servicing parts. The unit (a GE Outdoor timer that could handle six fixtures) was one that should have easily plugged into an outdoors receptacle by the general public. As it was, the unti would not work if I hadn't tried to work around the activation switch issue and although it was only 14 miles between here and HD to make a return; I just could see myself walking back in to Home Depot today....or ever again. My last time at Home Deport Lilburn is indeed my last time. read more

My Husband and I went up to home Depot located in Lilburn highway 78 and we placed an order to get carpet installation. They set up a date for a home depot employee to come to the house and take measurements. when he arrived we specifically told him not to take measurements of my son's room that was painted blue... the only room that's painted blue upstairs. Now me and my husband went to home depot two additional times between the installation because we just bought this home and we have been ordering home improvement items, during this time that we have been to the stores we have been checking on our carpet installation order, the first time that we went in after the quote and order they me and my husband that we had three rooms to have carpet installed which did not include the bonus room, we told them that it was wrong and not to add the blue room and to add the bonus room which we had originally requested, at the time we THOUGHT that it would have been corrected. Went back to the home depot store had them pull up the order again and the same mistake was still applied. Informed again that it was wrong. Received a call on 5/23/2017 to confirm the installation date for 5/24! Ok I'm ready for my carpet. The installers come around 4:20pm on 5/24, We do a walk through and we get upstairs and they tell me that they don't have an order for the bonus room.......WHAT!? So now I'm pissed but I stay calm...they have the carpet for the blue room ...the same blue room which was told to home depot a total of 3 times not to measure! So, I call them and they say they will fix the issue, I went up to home depot on 5/26/2017 to see why I haven't received a call back on my carpet. The manager in that department told us that the lady that additionally took our order was working on it and that she was out for the day. Ok so we go home and we wait until Saturday to call again. They are still telling us that its being worked on and that we will receive a call. So today is Wednesday 5/31/2017 and they call my husband and tell him that he needs to bring the carpet up to the store to be measured so that they can add to the carpet that's here for the bonus room ......huh? excuse me? You want me to bring this carpet up to the store? This is not a way to resolve my issue. Someone needs to come back to my house and take proper measurements for my bonus room and install my carpet! I am unhappy with Home depot right now. I have furniture sitting in my garage because my bonus room doesn't have carpet. I called corporate today and I'm still waiting on a call back. How long will keep getting the run around Home Depot? I will write the better business bureau, Consumer affaires and everyone that I can until I get my issue resolved because of your mistake. read more

Being honest, I rarely go to this Home Depot because quite frankly, I reach the Lowes first (not a dis to the depot though)...but there has been a time or two when I couldn't find what I needed at Lowes so I took the drive here and well, it's Home Depot. No issues with customer service, although I will say it's much easier to get out and back onto 78 than it is to get in, but you'll find your way. Monday, November 26, 2018 This is How Bad Your Customer Service Is. I was looking online for a utility car/trailer for my riding lawn mower, and I found one at your store. Here's the link to that item for your reference: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Brinly-Hardy-650-lb-10-cu-ft-Tow-Behind-Poly-Utility-Cart-PCT-101BH/203210748 I drove to your store this afternoon. I went to the Lawn and Garden Center, but was not able to find that item, initially. Several Home Depot employees passed me by, both times with their heads lowered and moving quickly. None asked if I needed assistance. I went back into the store, looked around again, then back to the outside Lawn and Garden area where I found the item. There was only one; it was fully assembled (although dirty as it may have been used), but a little water would resolve that. There was a floor level sign with the description of the item and the price, $179.00, which was the same price as listed on the Home Depot website. So, I brought the item to the outdoor cashier. She seemed to be very inexperienced and very hesitant, perhaps because she's a temporary, seasonal worker. Or, perhaps because there wasn't a UPC barcode on the utility cart. I pointed her to the aforementioned sign, and she walked over and looked at that. She came back to the register and called someone (a manager?) to get clarification on the price. Apparently the fact that the item was assembled caused her to think that it might be more expensive than the same item in the box. The person she called her apparently told her to ask one of the two Home Depot employees that were also in the Lawn and Garden area. She went over to talk to them. One of them suggested she call the manager, but she told them the manager had told her to talk to them. So, after several more minutes of uncertainty, she rang up the utility cart and I paid for it and proceeded to my car. After opening the trunk of my car, I realized I wouldn't be able to fit the entire cart in the trunk. I was going to have to disassemble the cart from the axle and wheels to fit. Fortunately, I had my tools with me and I began the disassembling process. While doing so, a Home Depot customer was leaving, but he walked over to me and asked if I needed any help. I thanked him but told him I would be able to get the cart disassembled and into my car. As I continued the process, another Home Depot customer came over to me. He was driving a pickup truck and offered to put the cart in his truck and drive it to my house. I was taken aback by such a kind and considerate gesture, but thanked him as I finished up and headed home. How ironic: two strangers see somewhere that might need some help, and the two strangers come up to me and offer their assistance. Meanwhile, the Home Depot employees who are being paid to assist their customers didn't even bother to look at me while I was in their store, much less utter any words about assistance, such as a simple "can I help you find something?" Unfortunately, this is not the end of the story. Once home, I take the cart out of my car. I note that the axle and the inside wheels are both rusted slightly. Also, two of the screws that hold the axle and wheel to the plastic cart have come through the plastic. A note to the manufacturer: When attaching hard plastic (the cart) to metal (the axle and wheels), it would be beneficial to put a washer on the plastic-side up against the screw to provide for broader support. I'll be returning this utility cart on Tuesday. It is a cheaply constructed product, and for the $179.00 I paid for it, I could probably build one with an axle, wheels and some lumber. I hope this letter will stimulate, at minimum, some thought as to what level of customer service you and your staff are providing to your customers. As a frequent Home Depot shopper, and almost always at your store, I have seen a decline in the level of service over the last five years in particular. A quick glance at Home Depot, Inc. 2017 revenue and statement from your CEO: "Our ongoing commitment to enhance the interconnected retail experience for our customers, provide localized and innovative product, and deliver best in class productivity resulted in record sales and net earnings for 2017," said Craig Menear, chairman, CEO and president. "I would like to thank our associates for their solid execution and exceptional work in service to our customers." That's quite a lofty statement by Mr. Menear and perhaps his lofty words are playing out in Home Depot stores across this country. Bought material I needed to wire my unfinished basement on 7/22. Went back to this same location the next day 7/23 to return a pack of unused STILL wrapped in the original packaging wire that I didn't need. After waiting in line for several minutes I get to the return counter just for the woman doing returns to tell me that they don't take back wiring. I asked why and she said we just don't. Went to my car and called another Home Depot and asked why wiring could not be returned and the associate said she had never heard of such a thing. She said as long as it had not been cut and I have my receipt I can return it SMH. She said if I brought to her she would do the return for me. The woman that helped me on the phone was busy when I got there but someone else helped me without knowing what happened at the other location and did my return with no problem. Customer service goes a long way! In the future I will do my best to avoid going to this location and drive the extra 10-15mins to the snellville location. read more

On January 1, 2016 I was pleasantly surprised to find your store Lilburn #110 open. I was concerned that the employees had to work on a holiday, but it was good for the customers. My husband and I went in to purchase metal roofing for a shed project. We were looking for corrugated galvanized unpainted metal. You have it in the store but not the size we needed. I asked at the customer service desk and she said I had to go to mill works. That seemed strange but I went. There I talked to a gentleman named Stan. Stan was confused and said he hadn't ever done a special order. He said he'd have to ask someone and got my number. My husband and I left the store. Stan called an hour later and said he had figured it out. He said we could order it. I returned to the store and met Stan at the ProDesk. He got on the website and with much fumbling about seemed to find what he needed. I specified corrugated galvanized metal numerous times, I even said - 'you know, the wavy metal'. He said yes, yes, this was it. There was a gentleman named John there at the desk. He was much less than helpful to either Stan or me. He grunted a few times when he was asked a question and just stood and acted as uninterested as he could. Once Stan got the order entered he saw that the ridge caps were in the store and would cost less to pick up then than to ship. He said it would be an extra $100.00 to ship one ridge cap since it came from a different place than the metal. It seemed odd but I agreed. A young man was there and said he'd go get the cap. Stan completed the order and then went back to the back. After twelve minutes I asked the ever silent and grumpy John if possibly the young man was lost. He peered at me and said 'well, this orange apron makes it hard to do anything, everybody asks questions'. I replied that 'yes, it was probably like being a waitress, but you had to keep your original goal in mind'. Another grunt and he fell silent, moving to the far end of the counter. A minute later I saw the young man come across the front of the store with no ridge cap. He stopped and greeted another employee, a female, hugged her and stood and talked for three minutes. He then began to move toward the ProDesk, saw me, turned and hurriedly moved the other way. Two minutes later he jogged back with the ridge cap. I questioned why it took almost twenty minutes to get the ridge cap. He said he got distracted and then forgot. Yes. He forgot a customer standing with a paid receipt waiting on him as he chatted with another employee. On Friday January 8, 2016 I called the store to see if I could get a delivery date. The woman I spoke with said it was at the store. I told her I had paid $100.00 to have it shipped to the house. She said that the metal company it was ordered from didn't do home delivery. I explained to her that no one told me that and I had paid for home delivery. She said she would call me back. An hour later she called and said it would be delivered the next morning. Saturday January 9, 2016 we received a call at 6:11am. The metal was on the way. The delivery man was very nice, very helpful and he and my husband got it off loaded quickly. After he left and it got light my husband opened the metal and found that it is NOT corrugated metal, it is the 'classic ribbed metal'. At least it is the unpainted galvanized. My question is how can six pieces of metal and one ridge cap have that many issues? I know Lilburn store is an awful store. I've never met a manager there who actually seemed to care or want to improve the store and with someone like the sullen John at the ProDesk it is a wonder anyone can get the nerve to get past his scowl to ask a question or order something. And poor Stan tried, but he was hampered by no knowledge and absolutely no help. And the young man who forgot his customer, well, maybe he wasn't happy about working New Year's Day, or maybe he really doesn't care either. Either way I will continue to shop there, probably because the next closest store is in Loganville, even though we have shopped there and it is incredibly better, more organized, more helpful, cleaner, and better maintained than poor old Lilburn 110. I asked my husband if he wanted to send the metal back and he said 'what was the use? They probably couldn't get a reorder right. They didn't seem to have the knowledge to do anything right'. I always give credit when deserved, but I will also call a business out that sincerely sucks!! There is a reason this store has a rating that is so low and I should've took warning from my fellow Yelpers! Hubby came in today for a piece of drywall with our handyman. Due to the size (needed it to transport in our car) the store cut it in half for us. Once we reached the car we realized we were charged for two pieces rather than one! We brought everything back and pointed out the error (clearly it's one piece that they cut for us). The cashier refused to refund it and had to get a manager. I'm thinking ok, no big deal. The manager then tells him he needs to run the video recorder.... WHAT??? There's a cut piece right here that she marked as two and YOUR employee cut it for us! After running the tape ..... and waiting. He agreed we only left with the one piece that was cut and refunded us. I will NEVER return to this Home Depot. That's just ridiculous customer service when multiple employees know I left with nothing more than one cut piece!! This store actually deserves NO stars, but that's not an option...I order a lot of items on the Home Depot website, for delivery to the store. The last 3 orders could - all spanning a few months - not be located when they arrived at the store despite the website indicating that they had arrived. The items had to be reordered, causing significant delays. I finally just cancelled the most recent order, and ordered the same items via Amazon. If I ever decide to order Home Depot for store delivery, I will absolutely not have the items sent to Store 110 - the Hwy 78 Lilburn store. Do yourself a favor, and use one of the other area locations instead. read more

I rarely complain, but I'm irritated enough to take time out of my day to make sure something gets done. My Dad spends THOUSANDS of dollars at Home Depot every month. He is a plumber and buys almost everything from Home Depot for his personal work and for the business he works for. When I say THOUSANDS, I mean it. He is a very loyal customer. He went to make a purchase today(6/27/16) and took his coupons, as usual. Due to his frequency of visits, he knows that you CAN use coupons. The first manager he dealt with refused to let him use coupons and almost refused to get another manager!!!! Umm you can't do that. While he was waiting for her to get another manager, he called in and was told that he CAN use coupons. The manager refused to talk to customer service. The second manager was just as rude as the first. He refused to even look at the coupons. He finally sent someone else over to say they applied the coupons. Literally the WORST customer service I have ever heard of. If I were him, I would take my business somewhere else. With as many options as there are out there, I would rather spend my money where people are nice to me. I won't be making any purchases at Home Depot. I had an on line order for the scenic highway, snellville, store. It was suppose to be a delivery order. Well my items split and my 200 lbs of rock, the only delivered item, went to the lilburn store. My whole order was supposed to be deli ered but after checking out only one item, which is not the one I needed delivered, was on the delivery schedule and not for the day it was promised when I checked out. We tried calling the Lilburn store and was placed on permanent hold. The customer service agent and I tried for over an hour and finally gave up. I will not place another online order from home depot. I was hoping to keep my husband from having to pick up his own Fathers Day gift but it turned into an utter fail. Thanks Home Depot. Rude employees who refuse to listen when placing an order. I waited 40 minutes at the paint counter before even being acknowledged and finally I told the guy what I wanted and that I was going to finish my shopping and I'd be back shortly to get the paint. When I returned they made exterior paint in a quart size when I specifically asked for a gallon. The other employee said he'd remake it in the gallon size for me. I waited even longer (store was closed at this time) and I was ready to go. I didn't realize that the gallon the employee made was for interior and not exterior! I painted the entire building before noticing this error and called the store immediately. I spoke with Charleton and explain the situation and he apologized and told me to come back up there and he'd give me a refund and replace it. I went up there and waited over 20 minutes for the other manager to arrive (Darvin) and he was completely rude and told me it says on the can that I can't return it. After I explained everything he still didn't want to issue the refund and gave me a hard time because I couldn't remember the managers name that I spoke with on the phone. I referred to the manager as "Chester" and Darvin said they don't have anyone there by that name and refused to name the managers they did have. I remembered I put the managers name in my phone and went back to look at it and finally Darvin did finally issue the refund. Darvin and the customer service employee (Destiny) were rude and unprofessional. Destiny had a major attitude problem and had a AirPod hanging out her ear the whole time. Had to buy a new lock set and needed it keyed to my key...first it took 25 minutes to find someone to help and then it took another 30 to get it done! If you know what you want and don't need help it's a breeze, otherwise head elsewhere. read more

I am doing home remodeling as business and always purchase materials from this Home Depot in Lilburn location. There is no body at the lumber department when I need help especially someone who can drive forklift. They stock materials up high and not available on the floor. I asked a few sale associates to get someone to bring down the 4x4x8 for me and after an hour of waiting, nothing was happening. This is not my first time, it happen many times. Someone need to take responsibility make sure all the materials are available on the floor for customers. It seems like they don't have forklift driver around the shift. it's very poor management. read more

He blames customers for prices there incorrect by his employees that do not pay attention when they stock but they want to blame customers grow a set and stop blaming customers. Two days ago I attempted to return 3 items back to Home Depot, in Ga. This is after making several purchases throughout the week in order to do some repairs on my home. As we approached the counter, we were greeted with all niceness. The customer service representative requested a state ID without indicated why it was necessary in order to return products back to a gift card. I had a my receipt. He then immediately got disrespectful towards me as if that was a routine thing to do. Immediately I requested a supervisor. A nice young lady attempted to calm and diffuse the situation but this young man continue to talk over her shoulder; disrespectfully towards us. We requested the supervisor and a supervisor arrived. This young man continue to do making snide comments even with a supervisor standing there. Home Depot needs to recognize that this is not how you treat customers who's spend a lot of money in order to repair their home. The supervisor did not send this person away nor did he send this person home. This person continued to be disrespectful in front of his co-worker and his supervisor. This is uncalled for and that young man should not be in customer service. Home Depot need to put the "SERVICE", back in the customer service. From now on, I will be shopping at Lowe's!!! read more

I have been going to this home depot for a long time. Since I was a teenager. I bought my cub cadet mower here. I bought my patio furniture here. I bought my granite countertop here. I bought all my paint to repaint my house here. I have shopped here for over a decade. Lately over the last year or two service has been lacking. My friend has my miter saw and table saw right now so i went to lumber to have two 5 foot posts cut. I stood there for ten minutes. There were two employees who were taking a forklift of concrete out. They both looked at me carried on and never came back. There were a few employees who kept looking at me but never walked over to ask if i needed anything. I stood there for over half an hour until i couldnt see any employees at all. I dont know where everyone went. There was a woman at the project desk but she just ignored me as i walked by. I passed several employees who had watched me sit there waiting on someone and most averted their eyes. Maybe it is my fault for not walking to the front to have someone paged to lumber area. However last time i did that they took over twenty minutes and another page for anyone to come. I am just disappointed. I thought you were supposed to acknowledge customers when you walk by not hide shamefully like youre scared to do your job. Kind of old and poorly stocked. Employees are fine. If you need something that a smaller Home Depot would carry you should be fine here.

well i haven't shopped here in awhile but i had such a horrible experience there i feel compeled to write this. i went there to get concrete, sand and stone( i make garden benches on the side) well i had two big carts loaded with stuff and i mean loaded ( more loaded than a wino in downtown atlanta on a friday night) ! the back gate was locked so i left my carts and went all the way to the other side of the store. i told the clerck what i had and she rang it up. i then asked her to get someone to open the gate in garden supply to let me out, the clerck told me that it couldn't be unlocked ! so i asked if i could get some assistence moving my carts to that side of the store, she told me they didn't have anyone to spare . i asked to speak to the manager. The manager got there after about 20 min. i explaned that i couldn't drag thoses carts myself about 2800 lbs each could i get some help ? she said she couldn't spare the workers ( i looked around and saw 4 employees standing around talking), i pointed them out and was sharply told that they were busy with something else, the only thing they were working at was my last nerve !! well then i asked her to open the back gate long enough for me to push the carts out and was rudly told no . at this point i just wanted my money back. so i told her to give me my money back ,she said i had to fill out a form to get it (funny i didn't have to fill one out when i gave them my cash) i told her i wouldn't fill it out that i gave her cash she could give it back, she declined to give it to me. so in my loudest voice i started yelling I CAN'T BELIEVE YOUR STEALING MY MONEY PLEASE GIVE IT BACK SO I CAN GO TO LOWES!!Well it only took three times and that money appeared faster that speedy gonzales . i allways go to lowes and just to let you know they will beat home depot prices every time. they have the worst customer service i have ever experienced !! i have boy cotted them for a decade wich will turn into a lifetime boycot. i can't say it enough lowes lowes lowes. read more
