They consistently understaff there. I only stop there now if I am desperate and it's 'on my way'. And even then 7 out of 10 times I leave with a poor customer experience. Visited the home depot today around 2pm. I went into the store and started my way down the main isle, going to the cleaning isle, having a hard time with there shopping cart. It kept going to the right and the more I pushed it the harder it was getting. I decided to go get another one before I started filling it with product. When I approached the doors to get another cart the alarm went off and the wheels locked, no problem I thought. Then out of no were, This lady from the returns area started to abruptly, and aggressively yell at me. In her words she yells (JUST LEAVE IT THERE!!!!.) Rude!!!. So I left it right there and proceeded to get another one that worked. As I walked into the store again, she looked at me and started to mumbling loud enough for me to hear her, yet not enough for me to know exactly what she was saying.she was so rude. Proceeded to purchase what I needed and left the store. Maybe if they maintained the carts better I would not have to go exchange it for one that worked. I have spent OVER 30,000 Dollars at this LOCATION in the last 8 1/2 years. As far as customer service goes - this is the best in the area for sure. If I'm having trouble finding something and I ask an employee, they take the time to walk me over right to the product. Im smack dab in between the Salem and Londonderry stores... a lot of Massachusetts plates always in the Salem lot, lines are longer, and because it's busier - people seem to be more impatient, and lastly, traffic in an out onto 28 is always congested. I've done curbside pickup in Londonderry and it has always been pleasant gone smoothly. I must have a perpetual perplexed look on my face, because as soon as I stand still and start looking around, someone comes over and asks me if I need any help finding anything. read more

I was expecting a delivery today for two washers, a dryer and a pedestal and the delivery company out of Tewksbury really screwed up as well as customer support in an attempt to correct the situation. They were supposed to call 30 minutes prior to arrival and never did. They showed up at the house, made a call to my phone. By the time I picked it up on the 3rd ring, they hung up. I tried to call back the number and spoke to a Home Depot customer service rep and she said they were outside the home now. By the time I put my shoes on, they had come to the door and dropped a postcard - sorry to miss you. Like WTF. As I opened the door and watched them drive away with Home Depot on the phone telling them what was going on and to get them back they said they could not. The driver claimed he called my phone multiple times and fortunately for technology that tracks all my incoming/outgoing calls, they did not. They called once upon arrival in front of my home and hung up on the third ring and drove off after dropping their card. I cancelled my order for over $4000.00 and felt sorry for the nice sales rep in the Londonderry, NH store who will lose his commission over these incompetent delivery people. I will buy elsewhere and will not deal with this again and will file with corporate as well. May revenge come their way from an outside source that puts them on the receiving end someday. This store & the help SUCKS!!! Had a dryer delivered they said be there after 12 noon I got home at 10 of noon they already came & went & said OH WELL to late! Then on the reschedule the 350 pound guy broke my moulding in the cellar & jammed the old dryer against my water tank & pipes & made a huge leak that cost me $500.00 to fix & I was without water for 2 days & home depot did ZERO to pay for the damage.... They also didn't give me some dryer parts & hoses that they charged me $50.00 for saying I had to have them as part of the dryer pkg. Again did ZERO to help me!!! Looking for help in paint depth. Had number of paint color from website. Gave piece of paper to paint employee with number on it, and he flicked it back to us saying this means nothing to me. Not willing to look up number from top paint companies. Guy had spiked blond hair and we could tell he could care less. Asked if we could speak to another member of the paint department upon which he threw his Home Depot apron on another counter and left without saying a word to us. At that point we left store. I don't like this Home Depot. The staff is ever-present to ask you how you're doing and pretend to be customer-service oriented but if you actually ask them something, they don't know anything. See - there's a difference between caring about customers and just acting as if you do from a script. Management has hired workers and told them how to act but has not paid for the training to make sure employees can actually help customers. This is the fault of management. Went to make a return and exchange a empty propane tank - it was our first time exchanging a propane tank at Home Depot, we did not know the tanks were not allowed in the store... (Shame on us) however there is a professional way of letting someone know and a unprofessional way. A older heavy set woman with brown hair working behind the returns counter decides it was a great idea to yell and scream across the whole entire store (I heard her yelling but did not know that she was talking to us, because number 1 she didn't say excuse me ma'am or sir, so no one knows who she's yelling at!) that it was urgent we " get the tank out and immediately, RIGHT NOW!" Ok no problem but no need to embarrass a regular customer in the store, completely unprofessional! I called the store manager to discuss the situation about this, he could care less. I generally find what I need at any Home Depot store, as the floor layouts are fairly familiar. There's plenty of signage and "most" of the staff are at least basically familiar with the store to answer general questions. What I feel is highly problematic is the soliciting and/or accepting of credit applications at the checkouts. This is a really poor idea, especially during busy periods on the weekends. Today, the checkout (and self checkout) lines were fairly busy; I was next in line, stuck for over 10 minutes because a cashier had to get technical assistance during a difficult credit application. There were several people behind me. Any activities outside of the scope of purchasing and paying for same needs to be directed to Customer Service, and definitely planned better. read more

I purchased a GE washer/ dryer combo from them in January 2019. After four months, the dryer began stopping mid-cycle on a consistent basis. After giving it a few months, I contacted Home Depot (they held the warranty for a year) and they were absolutely useless. They sent a repair person out a few weeks later who spent no more than 10 minutes fiddling with it, but not attempting to fix the problem. No sooner did he leave, I contacted Home Depot to set up another Repair appointment. A total of 5 repair appointments later, with all of them spending no more than 10 minutes pressing buttons and attempting nothing to actually repair it, their Warranty expired and they passed me off to the Company I purchased a 5 year extended warranty from (Asurion - DO NOT WASTE MONEY ON THEM EITHER). When I called the store to tell them they had sold me a defective product, they were terse and short with me, stating to take it up with Asurion. I had previously read reviews of this particular Home Depot and noticed they had a 2.5 out of 5 star under reviews on Yelp but gave them the benefit. Never, ever again! Trust those low stars and negative reviews! read more

This place is almost like a home away from home! I enjoy coming in to get ideas on things. Plus I come to get one item and have a darn basketful by the time I leave. The staff are pretty friendly. I've only had one issue recently where I needed assistance on batteries and it took almost 20 minutes for someone on the floor to just acknowledge. Overall a good store. read more

They have a number of self-service registers, which I am not interested in using. I ended up at a register in the PRO area, and the man working the station told me he would ring up my purchase, but that was not what that area was for. If they keep this idiotic set up, I will be off to Lowes. Whoever came up with this new register idea should be fired. read more

Online shoppers beware: I placed an online order for pickup the other day for some ledger wall stone needed for my gas fireplace. I first went to the Tewksbury HD, but they didn't have enough. Customer Service checked other area stores and showed me that the Salem store had enough (I needed 30 sections), so we placed the order. Several hours later, the Salem store said they didn't have what I needed and cancelled my order as a result. So I got online and looked at more stores and found that the Londonderry HD store had more than I needed, so I placed the order online. After a little more than 24 hours, I had not received the email to pickup my order, so I called their store to inquire about status. I was told that they filled my order and it was ready to pick up. Since it was evening and I was 45 minutes from their store, I told the customer service person I would be there early the next morning to pick it up. Here comes the reason I am giving the Londonderry HD store only 1 star: I received a phone call from their store at 7:20 AM to tell me they didn't have enough items to fill the order, and that they couldn't even find the 3 pieces they system said they had. Ok, WHY is it I had a confirmation over the phone the day before telling me it was ready for pick up, only to be told at 7:20 AM the next day they don't have it?!?! Who, in the world, calls a customer that early in the morning with news like that?? Answer: someone who sold my order to (likely) a CONTRACTOR. Shame on you HD, for allowing such practice. Seems the home owner is not that important to HD. I get a much better experience from Lowe's, so they will get all of my business from now on. read more

Home Depot may not have been the originator of the DIY revolution but it has certainly been a prime facilitator. The ultimate in convenience for the home improvement person inside each of us. This location is typical of most; a large selection of supplies for both the semi-professional and the private person. You will be able to find anything you may need with reasonable quality. It is also a good location for the hobby gardener in the spring. read more

I recently moved to the Londonderry area and I live in the middle between this Home Depot and the Home Depot in Manchester. This is my go to Home Depot. While I do like the layout of the store, the employees are awesome. They are very helpful. I recently bought a washer from this Home Depot and I had problems right from the very beginning (manufacturer issue). John, one of the appliance associates, was very helpful in both installing the washer and connecting with the people who could help me get a new washer. 11/27/12, I went to this Home Depot looking for Parts , sliding shower door bottom rail plate and door stopper. After I stand next to a customer service person for 4 minutes while she is talking on the cell phone who won't even look at me?? Along comes one more customer ser. Beware of Ridgid power tools. While Ridgid battery operated tools may seem attractive particularly when they advertise free service and free batteries its next to imposable to get them to honor their guarantee. I have two power drills that are essentially useless because of battery failure. When contacting Home Depot they refer me to the manufacture and the manufacture (Ridgid claims the tools weren't registered (which they were) and therefore not covered by warrantee. I ordered a snow blower through the Home Depot website. When it arrived at the Londonderry location I was contacted to pick it up by text and email. I arrived 2 days later on Saturday at 9am. When they went to go get the snow blower they told me it was still sitting on the receiving dock on a pallet unassembled. I was told by 3 employees in the customer service area that it would be assembled and ready for pick up by 3pm and to come back then and it would be ready. Now mind you, I arranged to have a friend bring a van to help get the snow blower home. I arrived back along with my friend and his van at 2:50pm. Again I went through the checkout process and when they went to get it I was told it was still sitting on the dock unassembled. I asked to speak to a manager and the customer service person called him, which he was not going to come over to speak with me. When I asked where he was, she pointed to him on the phone 20 feet away from us. So I walked over to him at which time he told me he didn't have any assembly people on Saturday. Realizing this guy wasn't going to help me I asked for another manager at which time they got the Assistant Manager Jeff. Jeff organized a couple of guys to pull the machine and assemble it in 10 minutes! The problem I have is if I didn't push the issue of finding the competent people in this store, nothing would have happened. The Manager at this location is part of the customer service problem and makes excuses instead of trying to solve the problem. The Assistant Manager and the guys who were with him were problem solvers and got the job done so I didn't have come back a third time for the same pick up, so I thank them for that. There are some really nice employees in this store that try to do right by the customer. Unfortunately I have no confidence that ordering anything for pick up at this location will turn out to be a good experience. read more

Don't even want to leave one star. My son bought flooring to be installed. Total disaster. They sent out a contractor they had been using for 6 weeks who already had 5 complaints against him. Two day install ended up being completed in over 40 days. Asking for a refund on $1400 installation fee. They offered $500 saying that he now has a completed floor. Forget about time off from work to deal with these idiots, not being able to have pets in house due to rough edges of original floor sticking up, having to pick up and carry 50 replacement boxes of flooring into the house himself, stress and inconvenience. DO NOT BUY FLOORS FROM THIS STORE! Horrible experience from start to finish. Save yourself the aggravation. They don't care about the customer just the bottom line. read more

All I wanted was a simple coffee maker. Finally, one guy looked in the computer and said that they don't carry them in the store, and you have to buy them on line. Really? At "Home" Depot? Not happy! Got 2 hanging plants for my birthday (end of May) and they are not doing well. Wanted to return them and get 2 new plants. They told me there was a 90 day guarantee but I needed a receipt...here it is June 20th and the plants started to be delivered at the beginning of May...they are definitely not even 60 days old. i tried to explain that but they wouldn't budge...no receipt....no return. Will try to see if my son has the receipt but I doubt he kept it. Guess I'm out of luck. A little customer service would have been greatly appreciated. read more
