I had spent 5-6 hours dealing with New Leaf, the alleged warranty company, then another few hours sending notes to Barons through their website with no replies. Finally got the above note after posting a negative review, HMM... Was just going to drop it but figured since I am a huge fan of buying local and from the smaller guys especially in NH I would may a few suggestions to help Dave at Barons Find a new warranty company or take responsibility for the warranty as your sales people state during the sales process " Barons takes care of all warranty issues themselves, we stand behind our products". Whomever is monitoring customer requests through your website needs to be retrained or replaced, maybe the system does too. As for my situation after wasting my time trying to work this through Barons and New leaf I gave up and bought the part from Bosh and will fix it myself when it arrives. My time spent is worth much more than the policy cost and probably as much as I paid for the high end dishwasher. Interestingly my washing machine went during this debacle with Barons and New leaf. Normally that would be a guaranteed sale for Barons but I went to Home depot instead. We purchased Whirlpool washer and dryer which took 3 weeks to receive-initially a two day turn around, delivery was horrendous-woodwork damaged & walls scuffed up, no installation due to "confusion" of delivery personnel, pieces arrived scratched, I called numerous times but they never called back. We purchased a fridge, microwave and oven in the past two years. Three weeks ago a burner stopped working and they sent someone out but he didn't have the part. Said he would be here the next week to install it. Now being told it will be after Christmas. Yesterday, my oven stopped working. Called again and they can't even send anyone out until after Christmas! I have a house full! I purchased a dryer from Baron's in December 2022. Easy process, a year later I am having problems with the dryer, all under warranty. First time it took a month to get a repair person to come out, turned out to be an easy fix (15 minutes) and great service, but I had to wait a month. Timer is now causing issues, wait now is six weeks for warranty service. Dryer is still kinda working, but not in a position to be without a dryer for six weeks if it had fied I was expecting better service by selecting a local business, but very disappointed by what I am receiving. I purchased a GE frig from Baron's in January, 2025. On 8/13/2025, the freezer stopped working. As I had purchased the additional warranty service from Reliable, I was sure it would be repaired quickly. I was mistaken. The tech from Reliable said a new compressor was necessary. He believed it would be in from GE parts department within a few days and scheduled the repair for 8/18/2025. On 8/15 I was notified the parts were backordered and I was now rescheduled for 9/11. When I protested about the long delay, I was told there was nothing that could be done, it was a GE production issue. It wasn't, they lied. GE sent the parts directly to me, they arrived yesterday, 8/25. I called Reliable to say the parts were in and they could schedule the repair, I was told the repair will be done on 9/11, the soonest the tech is available. However, should he be free sooner, I would be notified as "they escalate cooling issues". Let me remind you, my first contact with them was 8/13 and the repair will not be done until 9/11. Reliable lied to me about the part availability, it was an excuse as they had no one to service this appliance. If you think, like I did, that buying from Baron's and purchasing the additional warranty ensures peace of mind, save your money. I won't buy anything else from Baron's until they provide a repair service from a company that actually provides service. read more

I have been dealing with Baron's for years and bought thousands of dollars worth of appliances from them. They were great back in the day! Something has changed over the past few years. The sales teams that answer the phones are very rude. It feels as if you are bothering them when you ask them any questions at all. I was trying to get information on getting my expensive vacuum serviced and basically was told they don't do that and to look it up online. I also asked information about date of purchase and warranty information. The salesman seemed annoyed with my questions and did not give me any real answers. It was as if I was wasting his time. Unfortunately this is not the first time I have encountered a rude salesperson there. I will not be spending anymore of my hard earned money at that store! Very frustrating indeed! read more

We buy all of our appliances from Barons. We recently purchased a washer and over $70 for install and removal. The delivery people did not connect my appliance correctly and I had to wait for my husband to get home to fix their mistake. The delivery people also told us that the dryer we bought "has issues and advised me to call the store. When I called the store the manager said it's the drier that has issues. I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars in this store but I am no longer confident in their products due to the info the delivery driver gave me. read more

I live approximately 1 hour away from the apartment that the fridge was going into.....The first week, I ordered two stoves and a fridge... they were in stock and there was 6 fridges at time of purchase... they delivered the two stoves but the fridge "missed" the truck.... The second week I drove all the way there and they "no showed"...so I called and said the fridge was backordered.....(how if there were 6 in stock)....The third week I was told it would be delivered between 11-2....at 2:20 I called inquiring about it...at first the order was "cancelled"...then they found the order and its out for delivery and will be another hour....WTF ???? do I not have ANYTHING to do except wait for this shit??? I took delivery on a new set of Frigidaire kitchen appliances- dishwasher, fridge, stove and microwave this past September. We recently noticed that the tines on the dishwasher silverware tray were breaking off. I called Barons, believing it should have been covered by the warranty. I was asked to provide the product information- model # serial number and pictures of the defective part, which I sent. I received a text back stating that the part was not covered by warranty and I could buy a new tray for $115, plus shipping. I stated that was not acceptable since it was less than 6 months old. I asked for and was provided with the Frigidaire service number. I called them and explained the issue. The gentleman on the phone apologized, took the product information and had a new part shipped to me within 10 days. read more

We're talking a year this is absurd and when I called their repair service, they were derogatory to me and said you didn't buy them in the United States or they weren't made in the United States, so what are you expect. Went in to buy a fridge, because im done with the box stores. Every time something breaks on anything i buy at those places im told we cant get parts because those models were made specifically to sell at h.d. Or L@@@s and theres no parts available because it was for a limited time only.Also the warrentees end up not covering anything that actually happens. So i was prepared to pay more for better quality. Was impressed with the prices. The fridge i wanted was $900 cheaper than the L@@@s model. The delivery and takeaway charge was only like $20. I decided to buy a dishwasher then and there also. My first interaction was amazing after dealing with a big box store purchase that end up getting cancelled the day before delivery. I was able to purchase a new refrigerator with no issue and have it delivered quickly. Unfortunately, the home renovation took a turn and ended up getting pushed further out so the new refrigerator sat in the box for a few months untouched. We finally went to install it and there were major issues with it. The frame and body were way off and there was no way it would fit. I contacted Baron's and they quickly said they would replace it. Once the process started is where things took a turn. I was told there would be a restocking fee even though we were swapping out the fridge for the same exact thing. We ended up getting the new fridge in and it fit without issues. I contacted Baron's, since now I knew it was a defective fridge. They said the manager would call me in a few days. Instead of the manager calling me, he had his employee call me to tell me nothing could be done. I wasn't very happy, I understand policies, but sometimes the situation needs to be looked at and handled differently. I did put a 1 star review out there because I did not want to see anyone else deal with the same type of issue. I was contacted by the district manager, he reversed the charge which I appreciated. The reason for the change in review and stars is I believe that a business or person and redeem themselves even after a negative interaction. I don't feel that the refund was a way to make me go away. I feel that I was heard, the situation was looked at again and then the decision to refund was given. I would like to give them a 4 stars but their answering recording if the WORST! have dealt with Baron's in the building of three houses and have found the service and sales to be excellent. However, the recording on their answering service is TERRIBLE! My recommendation would be that Mr. Baron call the number and listen to the message. The music is like nails on a chalkboard, you get a beep to leave a message and get disconnected. The same recording is played over and over and nobody picks up. In one call I was told at least 4 times that someone would be right with me, only to hear the same recording over and over. read more

Tayler has been great to deal with and is very knowledgeable. Unfortunately that's summarizes the positives. In less than two year i have purchased 8 major appliances. I have had the deliver team they contract with delivery appliances to the wrong units I don't need two stoves in one unit and two dishwasher in another pay attention. Next up they installed a washer dryer and promptly flood a first floor apartment. When they came back to see what happened my mother had questions and said she wanted to go downstairs to ensure nothing was leaking. She went down stairs and returned to find the technician gone! His van and everything gone. He must have run out of there. Next up I had a stove die that wasn't purchased from Barons. I called and scheduled to have someone come out and look at it. They are backed up but took the appointment. They later called back and canceled it and said they wouldn't service something bought else where. When I complained again they agreed to service it. The technician showed up, claimed parts couldn't be ordered or it after looking at it for a while charged me for the visit and left. I had a standing apt with Scott's appliance that I kept and he came out, realized there was no power reset a GFCI and it was fixed. He also informed me the stove was so basic he could always get parts. One of the three Frigidaire stoves I purchased died 9 months in. I called for warranty service and was told three weeks out. Ok reserve the slot and let me call around to see if anyone can do better. Marcel says he is cancelling my slot if I call around. What kind of service is this? You don't stock anything, your phone service is rude, your delivery personally are the worst in the business, and the folks one the phone are rude and inconsiderate. It's unfortunate as I'd much rather support a local company but unless you wanna feel abused for spending money I'll head back to Lowe's at least my expectations are already low! read more

Bought a dishwasher from Derek and was told it had everything needed for installation. Picked dishwasher up in Bedford, it was poorly wrapped in plastic and styrofoam, no box. Got home and found dishwasher did not include power supply. Called and was told that it "should" be there however, it was not. Barons ended up delivering power cord and I continued installation. Upon finishing, I realized there was no kick plate for the base of the dishwasher, leaving the ugly, plastic base exposed. Called Derek again and he said he would have to order kick plate through manufacturer and it would be delivered to my home. Here we are two months later and still no kick plate. The only thing I get when I call is salesman's voicemail. I would not recommend Barons. read more

One start is too much. They are great when it comes time to sell you appliances but cross your fingers you never need their help with a problem. We had issues with our stove shortly after purchasing a floor model from them. It's been nearly a year and all they do is send us in circles. We ordered all our household appliances for our newly constructed home in November, 2019. Note that this was pre-pandemic and one year before construction would be completed. When we took delivery in November, 2020, our Bosch double oven was quietly not there and only discovered when our construction guys began installing them. Our salesperson Sebastian explained that "someone" took delivery of our appliance, so we were offered alternatives or else reorder and wait due to the pandemic. We finally accepted a lesser brand loaner while waiting after escalating to the sales manager Michael Lomonte. It took ~7 months (!) before our original oven showed up, but Baron's installers had trouble pulling the loaner from our cabinetry. Our cabinet maker and I were able to pull it no problem, and they finally returned to swap it out. Now, our Bosch freezer began failing, and after 4 service calls failed to fix it, we're asking Baron's to replace it. I've emailed and called, but am now sick of the lack of response from either Sebastian or Michael, so posting this review. There are plenty of other places to buy your appliances, so suggest you avoid this place or at least these sales people... read more

My wife and I recently purchased a complete set of appliances to furnish our new retirement condo - washer, drier, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, and range. The wholesale representative at Baron's in Manchester seemed knowledgeable and attentive when my wife emphatically and repeatedly explained that she wanted the electric range to look built-in. She wanted a finished look, with no space between the range and the counter-top. It was a small thing, but important to her. The range that was delivered is loosely termed a slide-in range in today's industry, but it could also be called a free-standing range. The bottom line is that it does not offer the built-it look that we envisioned. There is a prominent gap between the range and the counter-top on both sides. When I contacted the salesman, he explained that only two manufacturers still produce ranges with cook-tops that overlap the counter-tops, covering those gaps for a finished look. He would be happy to sell me one - with no exchange provision. "I'm not gonna take your range back. There's nothing wrong with it." I asked to speak to the store manager, explained the situation to him, and respectfully asked if there was anything he could do. He told me he needed to get more details. He had an upcoming meeting, but would look into the situation, and get back to me later. That was last month. Repeated efforts to contact him were unsuccessful. His assurances were all lip service - the best I ever had. Maybe the salesman who took our order didn't understand my wife's repeated request, or maybe he told us whatever he had to just to close the deal. But the uncompromising, condescending, and dismissive response to this issue convinces me that these Baron's representatives are only interested in making sales, not earning new customers. read more

We bought a fridge 5-22-17 they said that to reverse the door was $20. We said ok. it was to be delivered in 5 days. It showed up 6-15-17 and was damaged. We sent it back and got a refund. We bought the same fridge at Lowes for $40 less and a free ice maker, so look around you can do better read more

We purchased a package of refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher. We were told they would take away our old appliances for a fee. We paid for that, however, they failed to mention that we would have to disconnect everything ourselves, including the dishwasher, which we don't know how to do. When the delivery drivers arrived, they informed us of this, so they had to leave my new appliances sitting out on my porch until I could find someone to come disconnect everything for me, and install my new stuff. Now I am waiting for Barons to come and take away the old appliances that we paid to have taken away. Not happy about this and feel they should have told us all of this beforehand. The new appliances are nice, much better than what we had. Just not happy that we didn't know about the disconnect/install situation. read more

The customer service I received prior to and while purchasing the items was, needless to say, excellent. Fast forward to an issue I had with one of the items several months after purchase. Customer service was horrible. No return phone calls after multiple messages. Even called and spoke to the general manager Brian - simply rude. Most recently I had a refrigerator delivered to a second floor apartment in Manchester. The delivery date was 8/18. They called prior and were there right at 8am. The only reason Baron's in Manchester is getting 3 stars is because the two appliances I purchased were on sale and therefore were of good value. However having visited the store twice prior to making my purchase (with one visit interacting with one of the owners), along with 3 follow up phone calls from my end, I found the customer service experience disappointing. My biggest issue is that there were costs associated with my purchase that they were not forthcoming about so be sure to be very detailed with your questions. Is there a fee for installation, if I have someone else install the dishwasher , will Baron's still take it away, is there a fee to remove the old dishwasher. I asked some very pointed questions prior to my purchase and nothing was ever mentioned on these fronts other than a $20 removal fee. Yesterday I put in a call to the sales person who I actually purchased the appliances from (Ross)!regarding a question I have and am still awaiting a reply. I still have a refrigerator to purchase...now I'm rethinking where I buy it. It won't be Baron's even though I like to buy from local retailers. They did not earn my future business. read more

Absolutely horrible experience. Purchased an entire kitchen of appliances. Thermador 6 burner stove, Bosch counter depth fridge, Thermador dishwasher and sharp under counter microwave drawer. Spent roughly $13,000. We initially purchased the Thermador 4 burner with griddle in the middle but as we got closer to our kitchen being finished we changed it back to the 6 burner. When the salesman changed it back he switched it from a propane to a natural gas. They delivered a natural gas stove and when the plumber went to install it thank god he noticed otherwise when we turned it on the burners would have scorched or cabinets which were extremely expensive. We talked with Barons salesman and they agreed to get us the kit to convert it to propane. I initially wanted the correct stove but they said that was not cost effective so they would give us the kit and pay for our plumber to install it. Got the kit but only half of it was there. Had to pay the Plumber to come back twice. This all happened around the initial corona virus effects so gave them the benefit of the doubt. Salesman kept giving me the run around that they had to get a refund from Thermador first who is owned by Bosch but they were shut down due to the virus. I was sending an email per week about getting reimbursed for the cost and we just got the run around until the salesman stoped responding to our emails. Finally I called and talked with the manager and when I told him the salesman stoped responding to emails, he told me that the salesman was told not to respond to us yeah great customer service if you can't hear the sarcasm in my voice right now yeah it's there. Anyways long story short after months of going back and forth with them they finally reimbursed me for there mistake which was only between $200 to $300. I will never spend another dime in a Barrons store, to bad we needed a washing machine and dryer but I took my business elsewhere. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I hope we never need to have our appliances fixed on the expensive warranty we purchased because I doubt they will fix them. read more

Purchased Wolf & Sub Zero appliances along with Miele dishwasher from Baron's. Prices were good but their service is not so great. 2 issues, one involved a microwave that should have been replaced for what they spent attempting to repair the problem. 2nd issue involved an inner moulding for the Sub Zero fridge that was only 11 months old when it came apart. They would not cover it and stated it was not a warranty part. $7K for the fridge and right away they disown it. Called Sub Zero directly and they referred me to Clark Distributing in Milford, MA. Technician is coming to replace at no cost. read more

Purchased a dish washer from the Manchester store. Knew what I wanted so I did it over the phone. I've had good experience with the Salem store before but Manchester was a few miles closer so I went there. Couldn't take advantage of their free delivery because I was too far. Asked for something, maybe some detergent or something since they didn't have to deliver and got nothing. The one technical question I asked got misinformation. The 60cm unit did not have enough flange on the side to fill a standard USA 24in opening. Glad I installed it myself because they wanted over $200 to install and I can guarantee they would not have stained two strips of wood to fill the gap and match the cabinets. Didn't even get a thank you from the sales person for probably the easiest sale he ever made. Really underwhelmed by the store and will not go back. read more

My wife and I were shopping around for a gas stove. We stopped in to Baron's in Manchester and started looking around. Sebastian, a sales person came around the corner and asked if he could help and we said yes. He never introduced himself. I got his name from his business card when we left. We told him what we were looking for and he took us to a very nice stove which had a higher price than we wanted to pay. We asked about some other brands and he went behind the counter to look on his computer. I went over to ask him a question and he had a distinct attitude. He presented a very intense look with a furrowed brow like he was angry when he talked to me. I asked a few more questions and told him more of what we were looking for and he kept sighing and he really seemed aggravated that I was asking questions. He would hesitate before he answered me with a tone as if I should know the answer. He became quite demeaning to the both of us. At one point when my wife asked about porcelain oven racks, he responded, "Just take the racks out and put them on the counter, it's not a big deal. If you want those racks you'll have to buy a more expensive stove." This is just one of the many examples of his attitude. At this point I decided it was time to cut this off and leave so I told him we would think about it. I asked him for his card which he gave me and then he just turned walked away. I will never go into this store again nor will I recommend it to anyone. Not even someone I don't like! read more
