The manager should get out of his office to check this kind of useless behavior. Selection is typical Home Depot. They seem to be more well stocked than my California store but California is a shit show compared to NJ. They do have better " manager specials" which I appreciate. No bad experience really except for my first rant on employees that do nothing but hang out front. I prefer this location since it is also less crowded. Bought a grill over the summer and the guy helped us beyond the call of duty and that was really cool. Good showing by this store. This Home Depot location is my go-to store for most home improvement needs. They have a great selection of products, from tools and hardware to plants and decor, and the prices are usually reasonable. And not to mention the return policy is very accommodating within reason. The staff are generally helpful and knowledgeable, though there are times when it can be hard to find someone for assistance, especially during busy hours. Genuinely the times I struggle the most with finding an associate is when I actually need help, such as unlocking some of the more expensive items or tools. I always joke with my boyfriend when I walk in knowing exactly what I'm buying I get flooded with assistance when I don't really need it. The store is well-organized, and I appreciate the option to check inventory online before heading in. Curbside pickup is a nice convenience, and they're usually quick with fulfilling pickup orders. read more

Go to Home Depot a lot for materials, hardware etc. but bought appliances there for the first time. It has literally been the worst experience as a consumer I've ever had. Initial delivery, my microwave was delivered, but not my fridge. I thought, okay they had a delay no biggie, I'll have in a couple days. Next delivery day scheduled , no call no show. No help from customer support. This then happens literally 2 more times. I'm now out 3 vacation days and a Saturday, and will still need to make sure I'm there to accept delivery. Horrible service. Came in to pick up an online order and a man named Tim in a regular t-shirt and pants, who looked like he would rather be anywhere else but there, nonchalantly took my husband and I to the outside vestibule to get my items. He then proceeded to find one box, gave it to us, closed the doors and started to walk away. My husband had the gut feeling to check the box to make sure all the items were there; they were not. The man came back and "looked" more without any shred of scrutiny. A woman named Claudia then came over to help but also did not see any of the missing items. Tim told us to come back to the register and was about to issue a refund. I expressed my frustration so he went back to look again. Claudia then straight up lied to us and said they receive the items in one package so if the other items aren't there then it is Home Depot's fault and I would have to call them directly. I asked if they kept a logbook of received orders to which she replied they do and they have my order number but obviously not the other items. She said she would give a refund for the missing items. I asked what was going to occur to reconcile not actually having the items today as promised--would she call to make another order for me--she said she would not because the order was made online through Home Depot. She said the refund was all she could do and that Home Depot messed up. Then Tim came back and said he found the missing items. I told Claudia her story was a lie and walked out with my items in four separate boxes. No apologies from either member. Claudia didn't even know Tim's name because "he is new". Word of caution...rented a van three weeks ago to move my student out of his apartment from Home Depot (credit card down and confirm number provided). Wake up on moving day to have Home Depot cancel my reservation. Call local store and they say rentals are NOT guaranteed and this happens all the time. Disrespectful and condescending cashier Leanne as I was in self checkout I asked if the military discount could be applied as the app that Home Depot decided to use did not and never works it tried to show her and showed her my valid DOD Military ID card. The cashier comes up to be loud and condescending as if lecturing a child saying she will do it this once but never again, I told her if it is going to be a problem not to worry about it I just asked because the app does not work. She then tells me she is doing it and that she doesn't care the app does not work and to take it up with Home Depot. I then tell her it's ok do not apply the discount to when she then scans and says I did it. I ask for her manager and she then walks away to a lady who I assume is the manager , I walk towards them when the cashier Leanne screams at me to get away I am speaking to her, Michelle the manager then asks me to let her speak with her first . I called customer service in the manual and a few days later heard back they I have to take the whole piece down to get a little nub? We are not professional electricians and was not an easy project to complete for us to have to take it all back down. This is extremely frustrating. We asked questions about a fridge and said we were looking to replace 4 items , the fridge being the biggest. Didn't offer us any help, or information between brands. Basically we were bothering his quiet time. He left to go to the computer and never came back. He and another guy saw us still waiting but could care less. We left and bought from a family owned place who gave us good service. We spent a little more but definitely feel good about the product, the after care and just being acknowledged. Went to this location Monday evening to get paint. All self serve registers we're down and there weren't any regular registers open. As everyone is trying to pay for their items all the old guy pushing a broom can say is "can't help you card is declined". Ummmmm excuse me 4 customers at 4 different registers using all different cards can't all have the same problem! Drop the attitude old man, that's the reason why you push a broom for a living. I found the staff at this location to be exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful. My car wouldn't start on a sizzling hot day in the parking lot. Staff actually advised me on purchase of jump starter cables (suggesting I get the more affordable ones, rather than the cables that were double the price), and drove out a truck to start my car. I just went into this local Home Depot looking to purchase a reverse osmosis system. I tried to get help from various employees. The first employee working in plumbing called me honey and sweetheart and pointed to where I might be able to find it. When it wasn't there he told me to go down another aisle and look for another person who was not there. I then went up to customer service to ask if they had any reverse osmosis systems and she had no idea what I was talking about. She said she had never heard of it before. Also, don't expect much help from the employees or the Home Depot App. Ask a customer who doesn't look like a dad trying to build a dollhouse for his daughter for help instead of an employee. Also, don't go on a Saturday; it's amateur hour around there: contractors generally shop M-F, and that's when they staff the store with their "A -crew". I've had a lot of bad experiences here, but mostly just average ones. Today was bad, which prompted this review. I tried to buy 24 Simpson Strong Tie 4x to double 2x connectors. The app says there are 130 in stock in the store. I could only find 14. I asked an employee; he said "what you see is what we've got", unlike the general hardware section where when something is out of stock on the lower shelves you can usually find it unstocked overhead if you use the SKU number to cross reference. Or he wasn't willing to look. Dunno. I will continue to shop here and spend 10's of thousands of dollars on materials, but only because they are close to work and convenient; wish there was a Lowe's nearby. The employees are uneducated regarding stock or location and I find them particularly unhelpful and unpleasant when they don't know something. read more

What a horrible experience!!! As soon as my husband and I walked into the store, very rude obnoxious old man approached us and yelled that dogs are not allowed in this store. My husband said that she is a service dog and it should be allowed... before even finishing that sentence the old man yelled "no it's not, it's not a service dog". We answered that she was and we had all papers if he needed to see them. In the end, we were over it and walked out as he was very loud and people were gathering at that point. They are lucky we are not filing a lawsuit as it is illegal to say that especially when the dog is a service dog. Will NEVER go there again!! read more
