I am a same-day delivery driver, and I've gone there to pick up small items and also larger loads of mulch and or soil. They always help load and are very cheerful and kind. You don't typically have to wait long. They pretty much get to you as soon as you walk in unless there's a line which you can't expect them to drop everything when people were there before you. The ladies at the desk are always helpful and I've gotten to know some of them a little bit and I enjoy going in there and catching up and seeing how they're doing. My husband bought me an early birthday present because my wheel barrow broke. He got Gorilla dump cart just what I wanted and we both love it. Directions were easy to follow and assembly was a breeze. It's made so well i highly recommend. Plus we got his veteran discount and the price was reasonable. Definitely a good value for the price. I have been a longtime HD customer. My store is about 1 mile away, and HD's biggest competitor (rhymes with Showes) is about 2 miles away. I placed a fairly large order for a backyard landscape refresh. I had some friends lined to come over Saturday morning up to help me with the project. I had the delivery scheduled for Friday (04/27), so that we would be able to start early. No delivery. I placed all of my help on hold. Per HD's website everything that I ordered was in stock. Customer service could not tell why the delivery had not arrived, or where it was. It is now 1PM Saturday afternoon. Still no delivery. Beautiful day, wasted. All my friends have family commitments and won't be available even if delivery arrives soon. I am very disappointed. read more

tried to get a refrigerator delivered by this company. First, they show up an hour early with a damaged and cracked refrigerator. Then they rescheduled to next week in the afternoon, but decide the day before delivery to change it up and come first thing in the morning. The delivery man then proceeds to enter my home and deem it "unsanitary". When I called to get help I was kicked around between various managers and then when I explained the situation my order was cancelled because I "was rude". I don't know why this store is still open. I've gone for almost a month with no food in the house and we're extremely poor. This store should be shut down. read more

Tried to go to this location to get a veterans 'S discount as Lowe's does , as instructed by HD customer service call line and was told by Customer Service desk woman at # store 3844 that she didn't know what I was talking about. Really pissed me off that corporate has not communicated this at the store level. This is a great Home Depot, although small which limits the in store selection, the staff is always super helpful and friendly. They are always very knowledgeable and have gone above and beyond to help me numerous times that I have gone in there for new house projects. read more

Suffice it to say that the only thing that's worse than the quality of Home Depot trees is the service and their management. 5 dead trees. Bought on 5/6/17 and went to return today. Would not return money nor offer store credit because it was 18 days past a year. I had wrongfully given the benefit of the doubt and waited for the trees to bloom. Now I'm out $100's, but I was comforted by Jenifer the Manager that they were mine to keep and I was welcome to take the dead trees home. Lost a customer for life. Beware if you're young or a woman. They treat young couples like garbage and don't want to help because they see them as inexperienced and not worthy of wasting time on because they expect minimal money being spent. And women especially be cautious when going to the paint area, there's a younger man who works there he has longer hair, glasses I think, and a scruffy beard. He ignored me at the paint stand for 10 minutes because he saw a young attractive woman browsing paint options, so he literally sprinted there to help her. I overheard their conversation he was blatantly flirting with her and she was obviously wanting to be left to her own. My fiancé then went days later against our better judgement to get turf cut to length that we got online from Home Depot's website that states they would cut it this specific length but the guys refused because it wasn't enough? I wasn't aware we couldn't choose how much we needed. And when I browsed aisles alone with my dog the employees all would stop in their tracks and just stare at me not even hiding it. Maybe my dog, maybe just to judge me but either way as a young female this was flat out creepy. read more

Very frustrating, i am remodeling my house and have so far bought nearly all my supplies from Home Depot. My last 2 larger orders have been horrible Particularly my most recent. I ordered a vanity for the bathroom and it was promised on 8/9. It didn't show up so I called only to find out it had not even shipped. It showed up later that week but the marble top was broken in 3 places. I went through a few hours of trying to get assistance only to have to reorder the vanity. it was su to be delivered today. Now I find out that it won't be delivered until 6 to 8 days from now. In the mean time I have a contractor ready to install it and now he has other jobs that he has to do so I will be pushed off until he is free. I realize that things are tough all over but I have always had a loyalty to Home Depot and now am so disappointed and ready to take the rest of my business elsewhere! read more

Since it's 90 degrees out & illegal in this area to leave a dog in the car we will no longer be stopping at HD while running errands. Jeff, the manager of building materials, was EXTREMELY helpful. I am a teacher in a low income school and needed to build a shelf in my classroom. After discovering that I couldn't afford the pre cut lumber to build the shelf, Jeff asked me if he could help. Not only did he take the time to check out my design but he cut all of my exact measurements using plywood. On top of all that, because I worked in a low Income school, he donated the wood to me. Water would not shut off on my Commode, the seal on the flush valve was dry rotted (22 years old). The guy in the plumbing department explained how easy it would be to replace the flush valve by removing the commode tank first. I was very hesitant to attempt this feat , as I am challenged at times to correctly change a light bulb. Well I tried and succeeded in replacing flush valve (cost was $7.98 for the part). I am thrilled I accomplished this repair task, I estimate a plumbers visit would have been over $200. Great employee at Home Depot, now I wait to replace the other five commode flush valves. read more

I don't even want to give them one star. Went on Sunday to order sections of fence that is displayed outside. The guy at customer service said, "o. I do t know if we can do that. Jim in lumber can maybe help" then just a looked at me. I said back, "so, do I just walk around lumber calling out for jim?" His coworker laughed, which made me more irritated. I said to go him, "I have a picture of it I took outside. Can you look it up with the skew number?" Working harder than the employee (shocker). He unwillingly took my phone out of frustration having to like...work. He looked it up online and said "are you sure this is from our website?" Again I told him I took a picture of it right outside!!! He couldn't find it online anywhere. No joke, he found one that looked like it and told me it was $90. So I asked him if he found it. He said yes. I asked if I could just order it online at home since I didn't trust him. He said yes. So I go home, and sure enough, the fence I wanted isn't online. HE JUST LIeD TO ME THAT HE FOUnD IT!!!!! If I had him order it, I would have received the wrong one!!!! The fence I want has a horizontal design, and the one he would have ordered for me was vertical. So, go in tonight, on a Tuesday, not busy at all. I go back up to the desk to order it, since it seems only a very special secret agent Home Depot person a. Order this. The service desk was closed, so no special orders could be made (at 7:00!). A woman told us to go to customer service and they could "probably order it. ". Here we go again. The first woman tried looking it up and couldn't find it. Shocker. So, she attempts to reach JEN, the manager who is the ONLy person in the store who can make this order. She hangs up the phone and says Jen will be right up to help. Cool. Then the phone rings and the worker says to another worker "is Jen here? There is a mad customer who wants to speak to a manager." 20 MINUTeS GO BY, no Jen. Shocker. After 30 minutes of waiting, I asked the woman if Jen was even coming. "She's on the phone with the mad customers." WTF. I walked off. We were there first to need help. Jen, as a manger, you are horrible. You should have helped us first, along with letting your workers know you aren't coming (or maybe you are just lazy). I have decided to not go back a third time and will order fence through a local company. Home Depot in Milford is full of lazy workers who literally do not want to help customers. I will take my $3000 in fencing somewhere else. What a DISGRACE. read more

I shopped here two days in a row and was helped by an extremely friendly man named Larry (very knowledgable). He gave me helpful tips that really saved me. I was stripping and staining my deck. The store has everything you need and the help was always asking to help you no matter where you were in the store. Oh and the bathroom was immaculate it was the cleanest bathroom I have seen in almost any store. Finally I would say that have better quality stuff than the local competition and I say this from being loyal to the other store for a while probably just b/c it is closer to my house. read more

I ordered two items online and went to pick them up when I received an email saying that they were ready less than an hour later. It was hard to get the customer service associate's attention when I went to the desk as instructed! When I did get her attention the first thing she said was I"I don't know if its ready yet!" I could see part of the order from where I stood. Another associate stepped up and said its right there. And proceeded to get it out for me. The first associate huffed and said "Well OK." They only had part of the order the rest was being mailed (Shipped) to me. As I did not want that I told them to cancel that part of the order! They said OK and then took their time finishing up the order! I will not use pick up in store there again. The associate's on the floor are usually very helpful when ever you can find one. read more

It's hard to get excited about a hardware store but this store nails it! I have taken back returns, forgot my receipt, asked them to shake paint a year after I bought it and they have always been pleasant and helpful. I generally can find assistance when I need it and frequently I am asked if I need help if I am in an aisle looking around. The employees seem happy and focused on the job. I think they must have excellent management there. read more

Lets talk about why you should not remodel a kitchen through The Home Depot​ and probably any other project unless you do it your self. Because I have been faithful to Home Depot for 9 years I went to Home Depot for my kitchen remodel, I bought cabinets, lighting, back splash and countertops through Home Depot, ( the same in my previous house) At my initial consolation my wife and I had probably one of the worst experiences with home depot between the countertop designer not knowing what he was doing and being rude to my family, we were actually going to go to lowes at that point, But disregarding my better judgement, Went to another store through Home depot, we ordered our countertops everything was going good for what we thought. Home Depot send Cardinal Bath out to our home for measurements, and then tell us the whole process will take 4 weeks, ok, so we get our install date and I remove the old countertops and they come for the install. thats where I really found how awesome home depot is, (whole lotta sarcasm there) well apparently they miss measured on one piece, cut another section wrong, and then put a screw through the third piece. Awesome I have three messed up pieces!!! They have to wait 2 weeks to get some one out to measure again. Um ok.. so they come out and re measure and tell me that this will be rushed since it was there fault, awesome thats the best news heard in 2 weeks. only to get a call the next day from Cardinal Bath saying it was going to be actually another 4 weeks. That sucks. Well today is the day I'm getting my counter tops, its been a total of 7 weeks that I have not had water in my kitchen or a sink, cause o yea, one of the pieces was the sink cut out they messed up. So 7 weeks. I leave work to come home because there coming between 2-6, I get a call at 4 that they can't make it till 8 tonight? Ha, your kidding me right, I have small children they quoted me a time frame of 1.5 - 2.5 hours for install, thats 1030... So they have to come tomorrow, I call Cardinal Bath and home depot store, and nothing no one can help no one will do anything, If some one does call me they can keep there countertops. and I will go to lowes. I mean 7 weeks for a countertop? really. What great service and craftsmanship. I have never been this disappointed in Home Depot but theres no going back now.
