Returning an online order is extremely difficult. I spoke with homedepot.com and was told to go to the store to return wrong item and they would reorder the correct item for me. I came to the store to return and reorder the correct item, customer service told me they can't help and I have to go to homedepot.com. I asked to speak to a manager because lines were obviously getting crossed. Manager, Paul, came and was rude. I didn't necessarily need an apology for the inconvenience but to be treated with disrespect is unprofessional. Ran to Home Depot yesterday, Monday the 25th. I had to use a method of payment I hadn't used prior, involving contractor contact, which was a bit confusing for me. I went to 3 different lines and was told with a vague gesture to go elsewhere...each time. I must have waited in each line for 5-10 minutes before being told I was in the wrong place, before being dismissed with a vague gesture toward the correct place. Finally, after being at the third (wrong) line for 5 or 10 minutes, Wendy, at the pro-desk, saw my confusion and waved me over, was funny and cheerful, and handled my order and my questions quickly, kindly, and efficiently. I noticed that she seemed to be the "go-to"; while she was helping me, and without pausing her work on my behalf, she answered a question to a customer who couldn't speak English, answered a phone call, directed another lost customer to the proper department, and paged a co-worker to get to another department to aid another customer. This girl was on it like you've never seen!! I've seen employees be fast and efficient, but she was putting all others to shame by multi-tasking with a smile and kind words for everyone!! Came to the store. Turns out all managers are in a meeting from 4-6. Elsie did not tell us that. We are here nobody can help us. I recently moved to Naples, FL and am redoing the house we bought. This is unfortunately the closest HD near us. When I was misquoted the price for flooring I was upset (told @$4-$5K ... quote came back at $8,200) and I canceled order. When I went to get me blinds cut and had to wait 45 minutes while the only employee on duty who knew how to cut blinds got stuck with a very long order from another customer ordering something (the sale could have been handled by any employee) while a line of 4 others waiting to get their blinds cut formed behind me. When I went to order light fixtures, I was sent from employee to employee trying to find someone who knew what they were talking about. When attempting to set up a HD credit card, my name was mis-typed and then they refused to retype it - I don't have an HD card. When my fridge was installed our door frame was dented by delivery company crammed it through - no help from HD. Today was the final straw. Ordered new dishwasher, stove and washer/dryer. The delivery company you use, "Ralph's Transfer", has a 1.2 star rating on YELP ... to date 13 reviews total - two 5 star and ELEVEN 1 star - of horror story after horror story. Delivery man JP was unprofessional, immature and just a jerk. Said he didn't have the dishwasher, then said he did. Said the washer/dryer won't fit and wouldn't give details, even though I measured both before purchase. Laughed at the situation like it was funny that I was getting upset at all the mistakes. When I asked his name, he only said JP. When asked his employer, he said he was self employed (while wearing a shirt with the GE logo on it. I got the info from the ID tag worn by his co-worker. After reading other reviews on YELP, JP has been personally named in other 1.0 star reviews, so I guess upsetting a customer is something he has experience with. I ordered 400 ft.² of flooring. Delivery was set between 8:30 and 10 on a Thursday. Since no one appeared I called the store at 11 and they said oh there was a mistake, the flooring would be delivered the next day, today, between 830 and 10. I canceled a few appointments so that I could be home but after waiting until 11 with no delivery in sight I called the store. I got absolutely nowhere with their Computer-answering machine. At one point, I was waiting on three of my separate phones for over 10 minutes. Finally I spoke with customer service who looked up my order number and informed me that the flooring would be at my home somewhere between 8:30 and six in the evening. This person said Home Depot never, ever, commits to a specific time period during the day for a delivery. This is completely contrary to what I had been told by several other individuals. Now, I have to cancel plans for the rest of today waiting for the delivery truck to show up. I have always enjoyed working with Home Depot but after this fiasco, no more. read more

I've arrived to pick up my Curbside order to HD on Pine Ridge in Naples. I've emailed the store from the link provided, parked in the designated space and waited. Thirty minutes later I've re-submitted the email and texted to the number posted at the parking stall as well. Twenty minutes later I've flagged a store employee and asked him to get the manager. He did not and I've left without my order. The store is not servicing customers curbside. Most customers do not wear masks. Both times I tried to get delivery of items and was charged $35 for delivery but at the end of checking out online am told to pick their crap up at the store. I was kept waiting for over an hour and finally gave up, During the wait I had to listen to their stupid propaganda play endlessly about social distancing and sneezing like we have heard that pablum 5,000,000 times already. Don't know about other Home Depot locations, but customer phone service at this location on Pine Ridge is horrible. Calling is a waste of time. Put on hold for 15 min, then transferred, put on hold, transferred, put on hold......... If you finally get someone to answer, the connection is so bad you can hardly understand what they're saying. This problem could easily be rectified by hiring more staff to handle the volume of customer needs and updating their phone lines. read more

I purchased 4 items kitchen set - fridge, stove, micro, dishwasher (all Samsung). They were delivered at around 19.00 on 11/25/19. Dishwasher had a cracked control panel which we discovered when our old dishwasher was removed. The old one was connected back. Next morning we found that the fridge handle has a big scratch which we did not discovered during installation in the evening (was darker then in the morning). Next delivery was set on Dec 2 (2 items: dishwasher and microwave). Early in the morning (7.30) old dishwasher removed and a new one installed. The technician said he can not install dishwasher straight because the cabinet walls are too thin, As a result of this "installation" the dishwasher is not leveled, rubber seals on the side are penetrated by screw, gaps are uneven. Do not forget we payed 150 dollars for this so called installation, which took approximately 15 minutes. Then the crew refused to install microwave because we have a backsplash under the old micro and they are not allowed to drill holes... Whatever... Also, we found that the dishwasher handle has scratches. We payed 3400 dollars for actually damaged product! which was actually not supported by the seller! My wife complained to the Home Depot. So far just "give us a call", "take this phone number and call". We are from NJ and live less then a year in Naples FL. May be the Florida Home Depot has a different culture serving customers. Looks like we live in the some sort of Banana Republic, but not in the United States of America. We expect apologies from Home Depot management and correction of this situation. Stop right there in the parking lot and grab one of those flat bed carts 'cause it's Spring and Im going in to the garden dept. This is mainstream shopping for landscape color. Really primary colors in rows of flowers jump at you from knee high tables, ergonomically built so you can wrestle flats of moist new annuals and a few perrenials onto the cart without detouring to a chiropractor. Under the shade there is an obscenely dense collection of orchidae. This place is best for its choices of annuals and ground cover. There are a few sections of limited varieties of trees, so go elsewhere if you need a plant that's bigger than what you can put in your car. read more

My husband had a complicated order which was impacted by delayed shipment and the unit was also shipped unassembled. The Order #H0280-239220 was credited for delivery charges and assembly cost. He made several calls to receive his credits, and talked to 3 Home Depot employees with the promise of resolving the issues. He did not receive the promised credit. During his resent call he communicated with Cassandra and in a matter of minutes she understood his concern. Cassandra contacted the store to help my husband. Normally she works with online customers, but she made the extra effort to resolve this issue. Cassandra talked to the Home Depot store representative at the Pine Ridge location in Naples Fl. The representative's name was Alanis who eventually credited my husband for the delayed shipping charges. Cassandra's assistance and effort to resolve his issue far exceeded his expectations. She was very professional and a great problem solver in helping my husband. Home Depot is lucky to have an employee such as Cassandra. My husband greatly appreciates the efforts shown by Cassandra and Alanis. read more

Home Depot has just grown tired. This behemoth of a store has so much stuff the ability to really find what you need is difficult. The aisles are a mess and the store organization was confusing. My friends know I would always prefer to shop a small business - and Home Depot certainly doesn't fit this model. If you needed help, good luck finding it. On todays visit, I made a small purchase and waited in a long line to get out of the store. This only confirms my belief in shopping with the little guy. Horrible experience in the appliance area. Clerk was waiting on a couple and that was fine. We waited 15 minutes for him to finish. He then said he had to go up front for something and would be right back. We waited another 30 minutes. He started to wait on us and another customer walked up. He said we would have to wait as this person had been there before us. We never saw that person for the 60 minutes that we were there. We ended up walking out, went out to eat and I ordered my item on Amazon. Never will we buy anything at Home Depot again. read more

I just spent an exhausting 2 1/2 hours in one Home Depot after spending an hour in another. The first store sent me to the second as we were trying to buy kitchen cabinets and store #1 said they didn't have what we needed but store #2 did. After fighting traffic, we arrived and waited over a half hour for a sales associate. He was very nice and tried to help, said the inventory showed one available but there was no one to look for it. We went back to store#1 where we discovered (on our own) that what we wanted was there all along. It has taken us almost 5 hours to buy 6 feet of lower and upper cabinets. I placed an order for delivery from Home Depot and was never delivered for that date because someone at service desk (Andy) never gave that order to the delivery dept. Then I had the order for delivery today after 3:30 and I get the delivery guy calling me at 11insh in the morning to deliver it, he was not informed by Home Depot that the delivery had to be done after 3-3:30 pm. I have missed yesterday from work already and cant miss again because of there negligence. It is a rainy day here and the order is for tile and thin-set which cant be left outside in the rain. Needed a surge protector. Went to the appropriate aisle, An associate was on a ladder, stocking lower shelves. I asked him where I could find them. He rudely answered, "Right there!" and pointed. I walked over and began to look at the selection. He came over and said, "What do you need it for?" I told him it was for my laptop, so only needed a single outlet. Mr. Nasty said, "Well, how much did you pay for your laptop?" and began to lecture me in the most condescending manner, saying I needed a big one for ultimate protection. I hardly heard the message due to his rude delivery. I was actually kind of dumbfounded and didn't say a word.He then grabbed one off the rack as if he was totally annoyed with my lack of knowledge about surge protectors, and shoved it in my hand. I think this crotchety old guy has a problem with women. Don't believe he would have spoken in this manner to a man. Ugh. I'll stick to Lowe's or the Home Depot on Airport. I am from chicago I have a 2nd home in marco island went there with my Home Depot credit card I wanted to purchase a stackable washer and dryer and storm proof windows.... I was told to go see Doug it was 7pm Doug was gone for the day mind you they close at 10pm I was standing around looking for help not 1 person who worked there tried to help me... 1 person was waiting on someone seen me standing there for 20 minutes I was waiting to purchase while the people he was waiting on were haggling on the prices.... A normal person would of said I'll be right with you or call for someone to assist me not here..... I went in there with the intention of spending at least 5 thousand dollars but had to walk out because not 1 person would assist me maybe my skin was to dark or I didn't look like someone who would spend money I don't know....
