I had a great experience at Home Depot--the selection was great, and everything I needed was in stock. However, I can't get over how uncomfortable I felt while shopping. Employees (or whoever they were) kept walking around asking if I was registering the vote. Before I left, someone even followed my husband and I for several minutes, repeatedly asking why I wasn't registering. We are not even residents of Georgia. It felt like harassment, and the whole situation left me feeling disgusted and awkward. No one should have to deal with that while just trying to shop. I asked two separate employees, which I had to walk to customer service twice for... to ask them to unlock a pressure washer I was hoping to buy. They announced over the intercom multiple times that I needed assistance. I waited 30 minutes and no one ever came to unlock it. I left. Every summer, I start a new project and every summer I go to Home Depot or Lowe's. This Home Depot is an equal distance from my house as the closest Lowe's as well as another Home Depot. I tend to use this one because they don't change their layout and they usually have the most friendly staff. I did not give them five stars because they have two shortcomings. 1.) If there's not someone right there on the aisle or on the aisle next you where you are at, it takes quite a while to get help if you need it. Asking someone to call on the radio is best (the overhead loud speaker is nearly pointless), but a lot of the time they don't get responses from the people they've called on the radios either. 2.) If the wood guy is missing, getting your cuts could take 30 minutes or more. Yikes! It happens more often than you'd think and sometimes he's right there, but he's helping another customer decide which wood to purchase... In my opinion, if you're already done selecting your wood and need a couple cuts, they should come on over. The other people can wait as they still don't even know what they need. Ok, so now the good stuff: I've NEVER not found someone that knew what they were talking about. You can be assured that anyone on the floor knows something about something at this Home Depot. The hardware aisle and plumbing aisles get the most traffic, so they usually have at least 1 person hanging out there at all times. The people at this store have literally NEVER had a bad attitude with me either. They are always in a good mood -or they are tired and indifferent- but never have they been rude or mean or anything in-between. They do customer service right at this store- at least, in my experience. I've seen some customers come in angry and set the mood real quick, but even with those customers, the employees did a great job of handling things without getting upset, themselves. This isn't the nicest Home Depot location in the world....but it is by far not the shabbiest either. It seems that over the years the enthusiasm of Home Depot associates to make sure you're finding what you're looking for has diminished enough that I actually miss it...a lot. This store is no different in that respect, although if you ask for something they are usually pretty helpful. I am a Veteran and I use to get a Veterans discount at The Home Depot. Now this year I am told I can not have a discount anymore without a smart phone and a downloaded special app for a discount. I ask to get a waiver for this requirement in the form of a special card or something to carry in my wallet and was told NO. So I told the person at the consumer help line I would not be shopping at Home Depot anymore because they were discriminating against me because I do not have a smart phone. Me and my Girl friend went here to get a simple bag of Diamond Crystal salt for her water system , we had to wait almost an hour for them to get a pallet down to restock the location back in plumbing area , then as we went up front with the gentlemen helping us Cece the lift operator was rude towards him and us , her attitude was not in any way professinal , I've worked retail for over 6 yrs and I'd say she needs more training on how to control her attitude towards coworkers and towards customers. I spoke with Jesus today regarding the ten 12 foot skeletons that were noticed in your store. Jesus advised that you were directed from corporate that they advised you couldn't sell them however I called corporate AND had a live chat and they advised me that they haven't restricted any products from being sold. I am thoroughly disappointed that I'm not able to purchase 1 of this item while others are able to purchase cart full of them. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER !!!!!! Do not go to this store. Got a pressure washer from HD in Nov 21. After 3 uses, the nipple from the solution tank broke. Not from abuse or misuse. It just broke. This store charged me $30 to look at a pressure washer that was still under warranty!!! It took two months to get the part just to find out it didn't fit. Its a frustrating experience. This place has disappointed me on multiple occasion. They provide very poor customer service. One time, when I had to buy pine straw, nobody came to the trailer outside the store to get the bales out for me. It was hot and I think none of their employees wanted to work that day. I had to go back into the store TWICE to ask them to come out. Finally, somebody limped out, looking all annoyed and unwilling to help. Many other times, I get bumped around and had to wait for long periods of time, before an associate would come and help me locate the right part. do not under any circumstances by appliances from Home Depot.nI bout a dishwasher from them in June and it hasn't worked ever. when the delivered it the installer didn't said we needed to replace the shut off valve so they had to send a plumber to install it. also he didn't't bring the right supplies. the plumber was scheduled for a week later. Home Depot canceled that appointment stating that their only plumber was sick and might be out indefinitely. they found another plumber, who informed us that we did not need a shut off valve so he installed the dishwasher. It leaked. Home Depot refused to allow us to return and replace it because the 48 hrs had passed. now that time lapse had nothing to do with us it was totally because the first installer was incompetent and couldn't install it so we had to wait weeks before even removing it from the box. It's now mid august, six weeks later and I have a brand new dishwasher that doesn't work, both Maytag and Home Depot are refusing to replace their faulty equipment. The Manager (-10) needs classes in customer service. I was returning a Ryobi Electric Tiller Second on in 4 days. The first one lasted 15 minutes.Stopped and went to start it back up and nothing happened. Took it back and no questions asked was given a replacement. Today was wanting to return the second one that I only had for less the 24 hours. This started smoking so I wanted to return it. The lady I was speaking to became rude. I asked to speak to the manager and she responded saying she was the manager. She asked kind of soil I was trying to use it on. Hey we live in Georgia, it's clay. It started smoking so there had to be done kind of defect. She suggested that she take it and have them test it for $18.95. What kind of BS is this. They let 14 people come in without masks in the 20 minutes I was in line. They obviously don't care about their employees' health. I understand that it's difficult to intervene--but it's necessary. It's a moral obligation to your customers and to your staff. Also, while there are some really helpful associates, about two-thirds of them just 'guess' where items are and don't take the time to actually find them when the app is incorrect or not up-to-date. Liza T working in customer service needs to be fired immediately. I have never been treated so badly by an employee I'm my life. Liza T is the rudest and most disrespectful employee I have ever come across. I simply wanted to exchange some scotch tape that would not stay stuck to the crown molding and kept un-peeling before I could even paint. I bought the tape with cash and had my receipt. I wanted to exchange it for the "frog tape" I saw in a commercial but have never used. She stated that she couldn't return it because it was opened. She then said I needed to have ID to return it even though I had my receipt. I asked to speak with a manager and she refused to call one and told me "we don't need your business" as if she were the owner. I told her that I was going to make a complaint and she threatened to call the police because I said I would make a complaint. I have spent hundreds of thousands with Home Depot and this employee refused to exchange a $5 item. I live close to this location and have been to it many times. Usually if I'm just running in and know what I want I can usually find it. It's hard to find help on the floor, however. The staff, when you can find anyone, make you feel like you're inconveniencing them or, worse, that you should know what that thing you're looking for is called and where it's located. But the worst of the worst is this new curbside pickup they've offered since Covid. I've tried to use it twice now. The first time, I followed their instructions and still ended up going inside the store when no one came out with my items. They had to go shop for what I needed while I waited at customer service. Today I had a little extra time, so I thought I'd let them go through the entire process. After checking in per their email, which said my order was ready for pickup, I waited 10 minutes. Then I checked in again via the signage in the parking lot, just in case something went wrong the first time, and waited another 20 minutes. Finally, I called them and asked if there was anyone checking this service. I was put on hold for a few minutes then told that he was getting my order now. NOW? The total wait was 35 minutes for curbside pickup. I've worked retail before and provided curbside pickup, and I also get my groceries from several stores using curbside pickup. There is no excuse for not having a system in place for this service. If you don't have the resources to provide it, then don't offer it. And I don't buy that HD is low on staff because of the pandemic. There are lots of people who need work right now. Hire enough folks to provide the customer service you say you are proud of. read more

Not my favorite Home Depot store, but unfortunately its the one most convenient to my house. I can usually find what I need at this store and the prices are about average but if I need help from an employee I'm inclined to go to another store. The greeters, as you first walk into this Home Depot, are always pleasant and I have had decent customer service from the paint counter but that's where the good customer service ends. Paying for your purchase at the front registers can be a just plain awful experience. I hate the whole self check out trend and this store relies heavily on that mode to pay for your items. At the best of times they have one or two live human cashiers available. That being said...the cashiers they do have working (the ones that I have had experiences with) are quite simply the rudest around with the typical big box "I don't care / stop bothering me" attitude. I'm not sure which scenario is worse - self check out with annoying scanners that frequently don't work right or human staffed check out lanes with long lines and awful staff... Best option = if you have the time go to the Home Depot in Lilburn or the Lowes in Norcross. The few extra miles in traffic are worth it. read more

It was my first time visiting the store for an online order. Unfortunately the item was not available. The customer service agent was helpful and when I spoke to the manager Jesus, he went over and beyond to locate an item that was better than the one I chose. He even offered an adjustment. The item did not fit in my truck. This location has truck rental and the process was easy and convenient. Jesus, Ronan and another team member helped to load the van and offered excellent customer service. This experience was so rewarding and I'm sure we will return to this location where customer service is excellent! read more

I really like this location. It's easy to get in and out of and I've never had to wait very long in line. It's not difficult to find the things you need. The garden center has a terrific variety of birdseed and bird feeders, as well as potting soil and pots. The people working at this location are friendly. There are regular and self check outs available. They are very well stocked with seasonal items. read more

My neighborhood Home Depot serves it's purpose. They always have miscellaneous items I need to make small repairs. They do not have a lot of fancy home decorating options but they are great for stuff you need to maintain your home. Home Depot used to be known for always having people around to help you find what you're looking for and to answer questions. I used to find it a little annoying but now I can not find anyone to help at all when I need them. It would be nice to find a middle ground where I could shop without having people follow me but they would be accessible if I had a question. I'm pretty familiar with the layout of this store so I can usually find what I'm looking for on my own. Although they are not too big on service, they usually have what I need. read more

She helped me find tiles for my daughters outdoor playset online.. i wanted to look more into it so she recommended me to patrick in flooring. Found Patrick ask him what he knew he gave me a few options.. went to get some paint as well spoke to a young gentleman who had his mas pulled down to his chin? Whats the point of having a mask if you going to pull it down to your chin. Was not happy about that.. all employees should be wearing there masks CORRECTLY! Went to go check out and the lady came up over my shoulder , did not even say good afternoon or nothing just starred at me to make sure i was scanning everything then went over to my friends stroller to look into her stroller while her baby was asleep covered obviously! There isn't much to say about my visits here. I get what I need and get out. My home needs bring me here. I have noticed that staff is more than available to assist early in the morning but as the day goes on you can barely find anyone. It's almost as if they are hiding in the store somewhere. Most of the staff are not very friendly. It appears they don't want to be at work. The checkout is mostly sled checkout here. They may have one register open but truly depend on their customers to use the self checkout lanes. So if you have lumbar or bigger items good luck, there may be a line for you to wait in. Everyone's experience here seems about the same. Home Depot seems to have lost its touch in customer service. This locations greeter hasn't been at the door the last few times I've visited. I have a friend that use to work for Home Depot and explained to me their patch system. It's like scouts and earning badges for good service, skills, behavior etc. I feel it causes animosity in the work environment. I've also come to notice most of the staff at this location do not have many if any at all patches on their uniforms. They do have a clean environment and seem to be stocked well. The experience in here just needs altering because half their customers come in axed are in need of help finding something. Kudos to the guy in the sink/fixture department (if he still works there). My husband is a contractor and spends a lot of time and money in this store. We are very disappointed that each and every time we are in here, he is treated rudely. The way he is spoken to, is as if he is a bother to the employees, they don't want to assist him in his needs. There have now been multiple in-counters like this. 1: a girl rolls her eyes at him for a very simple question. 2: another girl asked him to go grab the paint and place it in there cart to mix. "You're going to have to bring me the paint here" not even a, "can you help me out and bring me the paint you'd like" 3: a boy spoke to him aggressively with disrespect, treating him like he's dumb. 4: same girl tells him "sir move" so that she can show another customer a chart. It's time after time. He is not one to say much but just about every person helping him in the paint department have been a disappointment. There are no manners or customer service decency. He pretty much has to self serve in a place when employees are meant to help and guide customers. He purchases about 10,000$ worth of products in that store per month and hates going in there all the time. All I have to say is horrible customer service... although there was ONE nice person once. I go to this Home Depot all of the time because it is close to where I live so it is convenient. I've only had ONE nice encounter with a young gentleman in the doors and window area. Anyways, I'll tell you about my day today. I spent 3 hours at the Home Depot because of their service. First, I asked someone about the size of the piece of wood. They paused for a while and responded with nonsense. They had no idea what they were talking about so I tried to word it differently. This time they said, "Yeah, that means it is about 9 feet." I was like what?? Because I was talking about the width. So I asked him about the length. I was like, "so the length is 9 feet?" He said, "Yeah, it is 9 inches." I'm so confused at that point that I just say thank you and get on with my life. Then, I ask another person to cut it. The first worker just walked passed me... the second was an old man that literally said, "cut it yourself." I was like "oh ok..?" Then I asked another person and they talked a lot about random stuff. They were with another person just having a conversation while I was trying to get help. They spoke about my race and then the other person kept saying bad words. They got sidetracked so easily, they barely helped at all. It took them about 20 minutes to cut ONE piece of wood. I needed them to cut 10!!! Once they were finished, I just wanted to get out of there so I sped to the check out. The lady at the check out kept asking if I wanted to get 25 dollars off so I kept having to say no. After her asking about 5 times, I just said sure. She had me sign up for a card and everything; took another 10 minutes. Then, she was like "okay you can pay this bill in 2 or so hours, but you know that right?" I was like NOOO? I had no idea, I just wanted to pay and get out of here. So I was like CAN I JUST PAY HERE PLEASE? She was like no, just pay on the phone or something. I asked what the number was and she just said somewhere on the bill. Then, I decided to cancel because I have no idea how to pay that, I also don't have the time, and I JUST WANTED TO LEAVE. She didn't let me cancel though, she wanted me to keep the card and pay the bill another time. I insisted that I don't need the card anyways, and I just wanted to leave. Of course, that information didn't went straight past her head or something because she didn't help me cancel the card. Then, she called the lady next to her over to help explain. The lady was like "yeah you have to pay this in over 24 hours. Just wait a day." Then, the other girl was like "a day? Isn't it just a few hours?" And the other girl was like "nooo it is definitely over a day." They went back and forth for like 5 minutes, talking about how they remembered that they're right. Then, I just said "OK I don't care about the time I have to wait, I just want to cancel it and pay here." Then, this guy came over which I think was a manager or something. He got in on the conversation and was like "okay, just cancel their order and I'll help them." Then the lady cancelled everything and mumbled "well, I don't know why they would start a card in the first place then..." In my head I was like YOU WERE PRACTICALLY BEGGING FOR ME TO START A CARD!! YOU DIDNT TELL ME ANYTHING ABOUT IT BEFOREHAND EITHER, YOU JUST KEPT ADVERTISING THE 25 DOLLARS OFF TO GET ME EXCITED! At this point, I was so annoyed. The manager guy took me to customer service and called the Home Depot card place himself. He cancelled the card for me and also checked out the items I bought. This took like an hour. Anyways, that was my day... Overall, the customer service here is absolute garbage. Do they not even look at who gets hired? I wish I could give 0 stars to be honest, but the one star is for the VERY FEW people that actually are helpful there. read more

I visited the Pro Shop at this Home Depot and I was surprised at how efficient and friendly the staff and management were. Dave Roopnarine the Asst. Manager was a great help. Also Daisy and Carla were extremely well versed in the process and helped me every step of the way. I don't usually shop Home Depot based on past poor customer service but decided to when the Pike's Nursery I usually frequent advised they were closing the store. I Went to store #175 (Tucker GA)to order a pallet of sod, soil, and sand for home delivery. We were the only customers in the garden department at that time. The cashier paged for 5 minutes before a Brandon showed up.I explained to Brandon what I wanted and he said to "hold on a sec and I will look it up" He wandered outside and never attempted to look anything up. He started helping another customer while the cashier stood by with nothing to do. He then started talking to another employee and never came back. Tried calling the Store Manager, Tim Taylor, when I returned home. Mr Taylor did not respond to 5 minutes worth of pages from your customer service department. Not sure why I am surprised as this is such a typical customer no service experience at home depot. read more

I think that the location is a little less to be desired and it seems like whenever I need help from from an employee, there is no one around or they walk around you so that you can't ask you for help. I don't know why I feel the need to submit a review given this location has 2 stars total from 39 reviews and clearly other people have had bad experiences but I am going to add my 2 cents anyway. I ordered 2 patio sets online for pick up in store. I called the following day to ask that they be assembled before pickup. Long story short, after 4 trips to the store and over 6hrs of talking to representatives on the phone and in person I finally got both of my patio sets. Everything that occurred was the result of miscommunication, lack of communication, and failure to follow through on their part. No recourse or compensation was offered to make amends or to acknowledge the fact that they completely dropped the ball. I will never order anything online with ship to store from Home Depot again. I will never shop in the Jimmy Carter Home Depot again. I will generally avoid shopping at Home Depot all together given the fact that I have an Ace Hardware and a Lowes the same distance away from my house. Clearly Home Depot, and especially this location, don't value their customers money or loyalty enough to provide good customer service. I don't understand the business model that Home Depot follows with respect to staffing. It doesn't seem like there is any platform for communication between people in different departments or on different shifts. It's ridiculous. And it becomes the customer's problem. Go to another store. This shop has very bad customer service. I went to rent out tools. Because their computer malfunctioned they said they would give me half off of my rental and gave me a receipt. When I returned the tools they charged me the entire amount. Even after I showed them the receipt, they failed to honor it! I will take my business elsewhere and advise you to do the same. read more
