NOT IMPRESSED! I walked into the window coverings department. Saw exactly what I wanted in the floor model display. and walked around the department for 15 minutes looking for some help. Eventually was able to tell the associate EXACTLY what I wanted. Next thing I know, she hands me off to a younger associate who tries to set up a "design" on her computer for me. I DON'T NEED A DESIGN OR ANY ADD-ons! Just order what I've asked for. Then after I got measured, she calls me up again and says I need to come in so we can design the order. What's so difficult?! just order the exact blind that's on display with my measurements. I asked her to prepare the docs and my husband will come in and present the credit card. After an HOUR at their service deck he finally gets to go and he brings home the paperwork. GUESS WHAT? Order's wrong. NOT the color I asked for, which was the EXACT color of the floor display. REALLY? Thank goodness the contract says I have 3 business days to address/cancel the order. Now if I could just get someone to answer the phone..... read more

Just spent 20k on a total remodel including a new dishwasher. The new dishwasher never worked. After a call to GE they cut a repair order from Rim Repair. Rim Repair missed both scheduled appointments to fix the dishwasher. The second appointment they set!! I would spend my money with Lowe's or a local family run business before I would spend another dime in Home Depot. 20k spent and now they don't know who you are or care if your appliances work. As some of you know from some of my past postings, I have had a horrible experience with Home Depot in Payson Arizona. It started with me wanting to use a local business to complete my remodel of my kitchen at my cabin in Pine AZ and make sure I kept dollars local. Well there was no resolution to this complete disregard of service even at the corporate level. After at least 24 phone calls to get things scheduled, mishaps by their local store in changing fabrication companies, changing my original contract for certain items to be included in the promotion they offered and I have the contract showing this, they don't feel they really dropped the ball. I am extremely disappointed in the entire company. Service is definitely not a priority for them. Their corporate office of customer service individuals who are supposed to be advocates for the customer is a complete joke and not genuine in solving anything. Once again I was the one who had to follow up on every promise of a call.......which never happened. I have so many names of individuals I have talked to over the past 5 months trying to resolve this.......Lynne on 9/16/2016 who was glad to take additional money for additional granite I asked to be installed, Dewayne who is a reported manger at the local Home Depot in Payson , who had no idea what the installer was doing or the date they were to install.......after I had already gotten a date from the installer themselves to come to the house. He also was the one that offered the pathetic 10% off for my in convenience in this whole debacle and was supposed to talk to the general manager and get back to me and never did...... Liz from corporate head quarters.....who started me down the path of thinking corporate headquarters would help.......she failed as she also never followed through on calling back at a prescribed time......Alison was the next person I told my story to at corporate service and by this time up to many pages of notes of what all happened in this whole mess.......I thought she would help again as all of them agree to your plight.....but never follow through......she even called last week and wanted to know if the counters were ever installed........seriously.......they have been in for a month......and you were suppose to call several weeks ago with some resolution......oops I must have forgot to read my own notes.......and only had something on my calendar to try and follow up......sorry Alison.....that was 10 phone calls ago...... Then the final straw.......I again have to call in as I did not get promised callbacks from head quarter customer care service team.....and talk to Khadijah......who after reading through my many pages of file.........informs me that I need to name my price of resolution......he says this is the only way they will take me serious and deal........? really..........i tried to tell him I did not know what that should be as no one ever got back to my request of the breakdown of labor and materials as promised by Dewayne.....the so called acting manager in Payson. He insisted the only way was to name a,price........so I shout out in frustration.......$2500 as from what I can gather the total is around 4300.......and that would be about half...........by the way.....their offer.....$433....which is less than the coupons I get in the mail from them for being a loyal customer....... Anyway.....I am done......the corporate bull crap machine they have invented wears you down and that is their goal.......how much time do I need to spend on this......countless hours of frustration and time on the phone with individuals who do not keep their promise or care........ Lowes.........you will be my new customer........too bad Home Depot will lose my card.......14k limit and used in the past every year........ Recently we looked at a wood chipper, "the beast" in the lawn and garden section. The cashier assured me that if it was used and returned, it would say on the poster. Another clerk told me that if it was indeed a return, it would have been gone over by their technicians and a "refurbished" sign would be on it. We were negotiating for a purchase and I asked to hear the 11 hp motor run. Casey the manager, worked diligently to get it running. Turns out that the carb and tank were filled with water, and apparently the gas had hardened. While watching them try to get it running, I saw numerous parts laying on the ground. The plastic in the feed hopper was broken, as was the rubbers that were in the 3" feed chute which prevented blow back when feeding a rim. We were concerned about a safety factor since the parts were so damaged. After researching the chipper on the net, we called and cancelled. I question why Home Depot would try and sell something in such shabby condition. Again, CASEY, the manager did a fantastic job trying to get it running. RE: Brendan's comments...we too had a floor put in. What a fiasco, starting with the quoted price for installation, which differed greatly from the original estimate by an employee, Mario. Spent several thousand dollars here working on my basement. Went to buy baseboards and door casing trim today. The service took me back to the bad old days before Lowe's forced HD to revisit the archaic concept of customer service. I selected the baseboard I need, and asked an associate for help wrestling the "bundle" out of the bin. He told me if it was not tools, he would not help me. I asked him if he could call someone who could; he said no. I went up to the register on that aisle where three associates were conversing casually and asked for help. One of them pointed to a diminutive older associate and abruptly said "talk to her!" I did and she said she would help. I explained that more muscle than either she or I could muster was what was needed, and she asked me where I'd be and said she would get someone to help. I went back to the rack and waited ..... about 20 minutes later, I went up front again and asked her if help was coming. She said she had asked for someone, but she guessed not. I responded that I guessed I would have to go somewhere else, and she said "OK, that's fine." By my count there were 5 or 6 opportunities to help, with only one (unsuccessful) attempt to do so. On my way home from Walmart (I bought a thermostat there that I would have bought at HD), I asked a handyman where he gets his trim, he said not HD, but Home Center. From now on Me, Too!
