I stopped going to this place years ago, because I didn't like the customer service. On a whim, I went back last month to try them again. Ordered a repair manual (girl at the register didn't even know they sold them). Manual had to come from Montana. Time goes by and I never heard from them, that my order arrived. So I show up today, asking if my order ever arrived. The gal looks it up in their computer. Not only had my order arrived, but they already returned it! She openly admitted that they don't call people to let them know that their orders arrive. So it's not like I just missed the call. Guess I'll be staying away from this place for good now. read more

I knew it was going to rain. I knew my wipers were bad. I tried another auto parts store in the valley before we drove up to Payson and the clerk could not figure out how to get new wipers on my car. He tried 3 different brands. O'Reilly Auto Parts in Payson was exceptional. They knew that the clip on the new blades had to be removed and replaced with an alternate one. I came in for a battery warranty the manager said he would warrantee it and then they looked up and found the battery I bought from 2019 and then said they wouldn't warranty it. Of course this was the fact the battery I brought in was clearly stamped February 21 and I asked why they said they wouldn't warranty they said it doesn't have a warranty on it I said well I'm not sure I come back to a place like this anymore and he took the battery off the counter and walked away from me and said I don't need your business go to AutoZone read more

My family and I were in need of a taillight during a long road trip. We called to ask this location if they could hold a part since we were just making it to closing time, they kindly responded yes. As the sun sets and we arrive desperately needing the taillight now, they ignore any calls in the last few minutes of closing time and refused to help so unfortunately we will be making the remainder of our trip in the dark with no taillights to the only next auto shop which is an hour away. read more

So I had got some snow chains for a trip to colorado from arizona and unfortunately spun out and got stranded in some deep snow for a while on the interstate. I pulled out O'Reilly s clearance chains and strapped them to my car.unfortunately I wasn't able to get them hooked up well in my position and they kept coming off and even broke. So I was pretty much screwed until a cop finally came and rescued me and my gf. So, we needed to go back to the closest auto store to get some new better chains or at least chains that weren't broken. I went to O'Reillys asking for a free replacement set as the chains didn't do their job. The manager there didn't want to give me a new set at first because of the store policy but after enough talking he relented and i was able to upgrade and pay the difference. I really needed these chains and am not wealthy enough to accept my situation so I really appreciate the manager was able to accommodate. I know it takes money away from his store and I'm sorry for the situation but I am very grateful the man helped me make it to my destination safely! read more

Our Jeep broke down on our way to a camping trip, we got our car towed to this location. They were so helpful and friendly but unfortunately they didn't have the part we needed but had to order it from a dealership in Scottsdale. Our Jeep was parked over night and most of the next day in this location and we the stuff didn't mind, they gave treats to my dog and were beyond nice to us while we got the Jeep running! We had the best experience here last weekend. We picked up a trailer but the light connector did not match our vehicle. The first two auto parts stores we encountered were closed, but O'Riley's was open till 9! James fixed us up with an adapter, we put it on and tried to leave, but the trailer tires wouldn't turn. What's up--over-heated and locked up? But we were fine 5 minutes ago. Now we are stuck in the lot. We went back in and James suggested a different connector. We put it on and everything was fine. The first one had a live peg for brakes--I didn't even know the little trailer had brakes!! James switched the adapters and we were good to go. read more

I wish I could give this place less than one star. I went to Payson on a family trip and my battery died. I was able to jump it & find this place since my battery was under warranty, because it was new in October. Telling the guy who seemed to be the manager "Bill" that I had to jump my car to get there, checked the battery and the alternator and starter. After all that, starter and alternator were fine, but he did inform me my battery was on its last quarter of life. So, instead of replacing my battery because I had the warranty, he advised me that he would jump my vehicle for me and take it to a shop to see if lose wiring was draining my battery because the one year batteries should last longer. He didn't even bother to look up my warranty or anything!! So immediately after I left, I called a different location, and they told me the guy should've replaced my battery, and said I could go to their store to get it replaced. So after a 90min drive and other delays, I went to the first one I could & guess what? THEY REPLACED IT!!! I would NEVER return to this location or recommend it to anyone!!! Worst customer experience, no one should have to deal with this. I will be calling their corporate office to complain. read more
