I truly appreciated his professionalism throughout the process. He is personable with a no-pressure demeanor. I appreciated his honesty and noticed his consistency. He meant what he said and never changed the products' pricing. NO "bait and switch." He was patient as we went over payment options as well. In the end I was pleased with my purchases and couldn't wait for delivery! That process also went exceedingly well. I was notified when the delivery would take place. UPDATE: Spencer's read my reviews on Next Door and on Yelp. Late last week, they reached out. The manager from the 43rd Avenue and Peoria Avenue store came to my home on Friday, July 17, inspected the dishwasher, and the next day, July 18, a new KitchenAid dishwasher was installed. This has restored a great deal of faith and respect for the company, but I still have bittersweet feelings because it took more than 3-1/2 months for Spencer's to take accountability and do the right thing. After being a loyal customer for almost 35 years, I will shop at their store again, but with caution. My hope is Spencer's continues steping up and treats their loyal customers with the same loyalty and respect that is given to them. ******** I just want and need to give my neighbors a heads-up on the decline in trust and service from Spencer's Appliances. I've lived in my house for 30 years, so I have replaced a lot of appliances. All of my appliances were happily purchased at Spencer's. I bought a KitchenAid dishwasher in early November 2025 and absolutely loved it until it stopped working in early April 2026. I called Spencer's, and they gave me a number to call to set up arrangements for the warranty repair. I had to make continuous calls to Spencer's and their repair service throughout a 3-month period (and SIX service calls). Yes, you read that right... THREE months to get a 5-month-old dishwasher repaired. It was finally fixed last week. It was a leaky gasket. A measly gasket that was missed in 4 of the 6 service calls. Spencer's had excuse after excuse for this taking so long, yet didn't stay in contact with progress reports or apologies. There have been two times in the past couple of years that I have defended Spencer's here on NextDoor when some of my neighbors complained about their service, and now I understand what my neighbors must have gone through, and I apologize for not listening to you more closely. I have three appliances that will soon be 10 years old, so I know they will need replacing soon (as we all know, they don't make them like they used to), but I'll tell you one thing, Spencer's Appliance will not get one more nickel from me. And if I can save someone from going through the stress they put me through these past THREE MONTHS, my job is done. BTW, I'm a senior on a very limited income, so the close to $1000 (when all was said and done) I spent on that dishwasher was not an easy purchase for me, but very arthritic hands make a dishwasher a necessity for me. read more

He did not like all the questions that I had on which appliances I would like to invest in. They also state that they price match anywhere in town, and that is not the case. Their Sale included installation rebate, but in the form of a gift card for THAT retailer! Stopped at Spencer's and not only did they beat the price by almost $300, their special included FREE installation and only $10 removal of the old one. Installers were there on Tuesday, their automated system kept us informed and then they also called. We have been purchasing all our appliances at the Taum store. We were guaranteed service overnight. I am disabled and took a long a difficult time to unload my refrigerator. I received texts all day informing me over delivery. No one came. I calked fir the store manager 3 times the same day and no one returned my call. This was bad experience for me. Nobody at the store was concerned. Again, the store manager never called me back. Bad, bad customer service No follow up. Still no call from manager. I would never ever purchase through tgrm again. Spencer's is a monopoly that preys on the locals, sells us bad products, and even when you pay for the extended warranty, refuse to fix it (or take a long time). We are a family that unknowingly bought 2 products and have spent the last 4 years getting to know their repairmen so well that they feel like family. Not only are they a dishonest company, they are inflating their reviews and no one notices. Our 30 year old refrigerator failed, again, so we decided it was time for a new one. Our online search was unsettling - what we wanted wasn't available in the color we wanted for any price - at both online shops and websites for big box stores. And, the same model in another acceptable color wouldn't be deliverable until four days later. I did a quick check on Spencer's, and saw the model/color we wanted but it was a "call for availability." I called, and while they confirmed the color we wanted wouldn't be available from the manufacturer until September, they did have the one in the other acceptable color. And, they could get it to me the next day. And, it was about $400 less than what I saw online. Delivery was perfect - plenty of notice, accurate timing, no surprises = all good. I have to do an update, a little behind. I have to say the technician that was sent to us by Centurion was so knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He did not have the part with him, however he knew exactly what was wrong with the ice dispenser. He ordered one, it was here early, so the same technician came back. Within under 20 minutes I mean like this guy was like a "nascar" ice dispenser replacer he was done! In all this time our refrigerator is back to normal. Your installer/technician, Jacob, was prompt and very aware not to hit any of my wife's landscaping lights as he pulled the dolly up the brick walkway! He was very fast at the install of our new microwave, insuring nothing was damaged to the cabinet edges. He displayed a level of small talk making customers feel less anxious, but not negatively affecting his work at all, and essential trait for me! We will be looking at another appliance purchase in the near future which Spencer's will be seriously considered and if given the purchase, we will request that Jacob be given the install order. Jeff from the Phoenix location was wonderful! We spoke over the phone. He was so helpful in trying to locate the model of refrigerator and range that I wanted. Though he wasn't successful, with his help, I was able to select my 2nd choice refrigerator and 4th choice range. He also arranged next day delivery at no extra charge. During the delivery, it was discovered I had to have my tile cut in order to take out an old 6 foot tall double oven range. These delivery men couldn't do that. Regardless, they took several photos and spoke with Spencer's on my behalf. I spoke with Casey at Spencer's next. Another wonderful gentleman! He arranged for another firm they use to come out the very next day and do the tile cutting as well as remove my old range and install the new one. Based on the photos, it was thought that they would have to cut out the front three tiles. I've been thinking of replacing these anyway, so it was fine. This delivery team did come the next day and also did an excellent job. They only cut a small square of tile on the edges for the new range to sit. See the photo. They didn't need to cut the first three tiles which would have left a gap in the flooring in front of the range. They were also very nice and helpful just like the delivery team the day before. Spencer's has gone above and beyond for customer satisfaction. I am so pleased with Jeff, Casey, and the two delivery teams. They all were kind, helpful, and professional. Had a fantastic experience with these guys. Our sales associate, Ian, was so insightful and really helped me feel confident with our decision. We purchased a washer from them yesterday. Ian took the time to go over all the brands, discussed all their pros and cons, along with his personal opinion right from the start. Then left us time to browse at our leisure to make a decision for ourselves. The prices definitely rivaled some that I had seen at Home Depot. And I believe the install and removal prices were cheaper than what I was quoted at Home Depot. So overall great to not have a ton of added costs on the back end. Our purchase experience was good. Quick in/out as we knew what we wanted. The in-store sales people, however...one never even looked up from his slice of leftover pizza, the other, ours, smelled of stale cigarettes. Delivery happened quick, within 2 days of purchase. The day of delivery (New Years Eve), Jaime was prompt (noon) and friendly. He rushed through and never really spoke to us. Didnt go throught the features of the oven as we were told he would/should. Him and his partner popped it in, left the wall bracket on the counter and flew out. It was NYE so I didnt think too much of it. Unfortunately, the oven didnt work. 45+ minutes to heat up - and thats IF it got to temp at all. The convection never worked either. I called the store the next day and was told by an associate that the issues I was experiencing were normal for that unit. After significant push back, he said he would order a replacement but that it was on backorder for the next week. I agreed. 2 days before the supposed redelivery, my gut told me to call the store to confirm. Our sales person, Smokey Jeff, said he didnt know what I was talking about and that he'd call me back the next day after speaking with the warehouse. He never called. The day after, my husband calls and speaks to a manager who listened to the challenges, apologized and ordered a replacement to be delivered the next day. Redelivery day has arrived!! Ruben and his partner were very professional and kind. He took time to review all features and make sure everything was working. He even I stalled the wall clip. I had forgotten to take my baking pans out of the bottom drawer of the old oven and Ruben brought them back to me. I'd give our overall experience 4 out of 5...thanks to Ruben redeeming the experience. GREAT JOB RUBEN! And, Jeff, spray something after your cig and before you greet customers. read more
