Firstly, thanks to all your hardworking employees who continue to work through this pandemic. I appreciate that you attempted to implement curbside delivery, but it really needs some big improvements. Namely, I really don't think it should involve an employee walking around guessing at who's next in line and having to come right up to a customer's driver side window (because nobody could hear over people's running diesel trucks) to ask for order name and number--even with a mask, it unfortunately completely defeats the point. My suggestion would be to have each spot clearly marked with a curbside # and phone # so the customer can then text an order number AND curbside parking # upon arrival. This would keep the "first come first served" in order and would keep your employees out of harms way. Furthermore, a text reply indicating confirmation and approximate wait time would be very helpful. I write this as I've now sat for 45 min waiting for my "ready at front desk" order. It still hasn't arrived... After close to an hour I gave up and left. I tried calling the curbside phone number to at least inform them I had to leave, but nobody picked up after 6 or 7 min of holding. I do like this Home Depot a lot, but I think they have the capabilities to do this all much better. I hope they read these reviews and try to incorporate improvements. I'll be glad to come back with a favorable review if they do. After calling the curbside number and nobody picking up after another 7 min, finally just had to drive off. I'm not saying the attempt isn't appreciated, I'm just saying that the current process is severely flawed. read more

I've never had a bad experience at Home Depot until today. While visiting the Home Depot in Pflugerville Texas I encountered a young man sitting down just inside the door texting on his phone. I asked him if there were any baskets available and he stated he was not allowed to leave his area not even trying to check for some empty baskets. As I walked in I encountered a girl at customer service I asked her the same question and she said no there's no baskets available very rudely. There were several baskets in the parking lot but no one wanted to gather them up. I don't know if I will ever shop this location again! read more

This Home Depot sucks. Staff are not friendly or knowledgeable. The other day I went in to buy granite counter tops... the old man was put out at having to schedule and help me. They set me up. Before the granite guy came out, he told me he doesn't install the particular granite I choose. I had to call back to get someone else. We do. They don't have another installer, so the standard granite I choose was a come on. They don't have anyone to install the less expensive granite... ie we are advertising a car... that we really don't have, but we do have this more expensive one available. What a joke. Took three days to determine this. Tried to by plants the other day too. Walked outside the garden center to the plants right outside. Tried to go back in the rude little teen saw me... made me go all the way back in the main entrance and through the store where my wife was waiting. Don't know how we buy plants they have outside... Worst experience ever. There I am 8 month pregnant female asking how to purchase propane. Maybe it's a dumb question but I don't know the answer so I ask the worst person I could have found. Mean old lady with short white hair who works up front. I ask her how to purchase and she cut me off and accused me of bringing of propane inside the building and she was going to call the fire marshall. She ends it there and swings away in frustration. Our AC unit wasn't cooperating due to a bad filter so we called the store and spoke to REESE and he went above and beyond for us and made sure we got the air filter we needed before the store closed. Reese is an exceptional asset for customer service, initiative and leadership. read more

Home Depot has done the least during COVID I have seen. I ordered something at the beginning of COVID and it was heavily damaged. They told us we couldn't have it picked up and had to go to the store. This was in early may. Then we tried to get it handled outside but they wanted us to wait in a line in the store to return it. We tried to get it returned recently and we're willing to go in store now and they told us there was nothing they could do because there return had ended. read more

Went to the tile section and wanted to buy 50 ft of glass tile, they only had about 20ft worth on display. Asked someone passing by if he could help, he said no but Gail two iles over would, as he walked away. I walked over and saw Gail was busy so I walked away. I waited around and about 15 min later I saw Gail closing a box so I thought she was done. I walked over and asked her if she could help me if she wasn't busy. This woman must have been having a bad day because she said "Well, I'm cutting blinds right now so, clearly, I'm busy right now". I don't know why I keep coming back to this store except it's very near my house. I'll spend me $900 in glass tile at Lowes, I guess. read more

How can I say this gently? Unfortunately there really isn't a gentle way. Horrible service! Terry in the Tool Rental department was rude, condescending and disrespectful. He's clearly been around awhile (too long, apparently), wants everyone to know that he's a genius at tools and, therefore, can be rude to those he decides are deserving of it. Customer service? Who cares!! Despite my having reserved a rental vehicle in advance, he acted as though it was the biggest inconvenience of his life. Then he turned around and sweetly helped the pretty woman after me. Interestingly, his rude behavior toward me was always out of earshot of others. I'd highly recommend avoiding this Home Depot. There are several reviews of similar rude behavior of employees from this same location. Seems to be an ongoing problem that hasn't been addressed. Personally, I believe it's a management problem at the Pflugerville Home Depot as all my efforts to contact them, write reviews or get some kind of acknowledgement have been met with silence. Clearly I'm the problem. Don't bother even attempting to post a negative review on their website...if it hits too close to home, they won't even bother posting it. I like that there are people at this location who are actually knowledgeable in there departments and are helpful. I've been to other locations and finding someone who works in that department and who is knowledgeable is almost impossible. So thank you guys, also there is an older gentleman that works in the light bulbs that is super friendly and my small kids liked him very much. read more

Greatest toy store ever! So, I'm a self-proclaimed DIY'er and recently decided to build my own deck. Well, recently 6-ish months ago. I finally got around to this week and realized I needed to level the ground. I called around trying to find someplace that rents tillers to pull up the grass and loosen the soil enough to level it out. I realize I'm giving a lot of pointless info, but talking like this makes me feel manly and stuff. So, I finally found out that this HD rents all sorts of tools and fun stuff. I made my way up there to pick up a tiller. $40 for 4 hours sure beats buying a tool I will likely never use again. The scary part? The attendant working the tool rental. He soap boxed a bit about how great immigrant workers are, but how he found it frustrating that they don't speak English. I was seriously waiting for the "Speak American Motherf'er" to come out of his mouth, but it never did thankfully. The awkward part is that my friend who had come to help me is of Latin American descent. He didn't say anything, but I really hope he didn't get offended. I picked up a list of all the tools they rent and they really have anything one might need to get any job done, so I will definitely be back for my future tool needs. On a final note. I did finish my deck. Much like me, my deck ain't perfect and sure isn't much to look at, but damn if it isn't sturdy and effective! read more

I've been on the hunt for a large area rug and I have to say I was totally surprised when my husband told me that Home Depot carried big area rugs and to go check them out. I was a little skeptical on going to Home Depot to look for an area rug..would it be pretty? Would it be colorful?, would it be thick? Mind you I'm going to Home Depot!! So ok, it doesn't hurt to go look and guess what..my hubby was right!! I actually found a couple of rugs that I really liked! And today I had gone to 3 different stores looking for an area rug and I found NONE that I liked at these home/furniture stores & to think when I find the magical area rug that I was on the hunt for I actually found it at The Home Depot! So 5 stars for Home Depot for surprising me today & carrying all sizes and colors and different types of rugs AND you can actually customize the size of rug you want so if you wanted a runner to go on your stairs or a small area rug or a long rug you can order it! We really do learn something new everyday and today I learned Home Depot is the rug master!! read more

This is the best Home Depot ever!! Everyone has been living their motto "You can do it, we can help." In general, I typically try to avoid big box stores, but this one has a very local feeling. (I know they aren't and I also frequent a local home materials store in South Austin, so please don't rip me to shreds for that comment.) I've attended several helpful free workshops held in store. (Find out what classes are coming up and register for those on their website. And the do-it-herself workshops should be updated - not all women are clueless when it comes to power tools and not all men aren't.) Almost every employee has been helpful and knowledgable. If someone doesn't know the answer to a question, they can usually help you find the person that does. There are so many wealths of knowledge walking about in orange aprons. Lockwood is a phenomenal source of information mixed with a level of customer service that would make you think he was Mr. HomeDepot himself. ;) Having this location as our neighborhood Home Depot is definitely an unadvertised bonus for our new house. read more

When I was younger, I used to dread going to Home Depot. "There's nothing here for me!" I would emphatically whine to my parents. "How boring, can I just stay in the car??" They would just ignore me as we walked in. Now that I am an Adult and I have a House and Responsibilities, going to Home Depot is the best thing ever. I actually look forward to coming here. We are pretty much here every weekend and I love it. I love this Home Depot location, too. It's a giant, clean, well-stocked store. I've always been able to find associates (who are pleasant!) when I need wood cut, have questions about a product, can't find a certain product, need to rent tools, or need them to look up something for me. We're even here so much, that some of the garden center employees know us, and have taken a genuine interest into our home projects. We've done some major landscaping for our backyard (including a pond), and some big construction projects (aviary) - and it's kind of a neat feeling when you walk into the store and they start asking you how your project is going and if they can see pictures of it. How cool! Tack this store onto this list of places that make the Stonehill Center in P-ville so great. I'll see you guys next weekend. And every weekend. read more

I can't speak for the whole store, but I've been into the paint section 3 times over the last 2 weeks and 2 of those 3 times have been exceptional and the other has just fine. The employees here tend to be incredibly knowledgeable and super helpful. There is the occasional lazy employee, but for the most part, they're top notch. We come to this location often, since it's close to our home and we are always needing something (a/c air filters and a replacement sprinkler head was what brought us last time). The employee we dealt with physically brought us to the items that we were looking for. I love that; so much better than some vague directions to where something is located and then you have to ask again if you never make it there! For paint, home depot is so much more affordable than Sherwin Williams and we haven't had any issues with their color matching thus far. We will continue shopping here for all of our home maintenance and improvement needs. read more

Associate experience depends widely on the department. I went to the Bath dept to order a replacement toilet. I arrived at 1245 and waited 20 minutes waiting for help. I asked 2 passing associates if they could get someone to Aisle 32. No luck. I called the front desk and asked them to page someone but no one was available to answer the phone. I ended up going to the Flooring dept, and the very helpful staff member there got me signed up for both my flooring and bathroom projects! read more

I'd never thought of reviewing a Home Depot or big chain store before but I was just so impressed today! Every single person I encountered was friendly and helpful. And not the forced I-have-to-be-friendly-because-it's-my-job kind of friendly. I wish had all of their names but I don't. The guy who cut my plywood was nice, helpful and listened to what I needed. Then when I checked out the cashier was so on top of everything. She asked if I needed help carrying my wood out and when I replied "I got" she said "yeaaaaahhh girrrrrl! Girl power!" And it was adorable and genuine. THEN, I was putting the wood in my car and one of the guys from the garden center came running out. He said "I got this!" The Home Depot in Pflugerville rocks! Firstly, they matched an _outrageous_ price I found on a washer that I'd seen (on a credible cos website, of course) on the internet. Secondly, they took my order _over the phone_ at about 8:30PM on a Saturday night! Thirdly, delivery was set for _Tuesday_ the following week. And FINALLY, when my husband decided he didn't like the look of the washer I bought, and I had to go back to them, tail between my legs, and ask them to substitute another one, the guys in appliances only asked for a little bit of time! They were able to fix everything it took to get the job done and still get the order out to me within a few days of the expected delivery date! I couldn't be more impressed. In the future, I will be doing as much shopping as I can with them. read more

I had my first experience with renting an item from Home Depot last week during the Wednesday storm. Not only were they extremely helpful, but assisted me with loading the item in my truck in the rain without complaint. Upon my returning the item the next evening, I inadvertently left my wallet and cash on the check-out desk after paying, and departed the store without noticing it. I returned home to find it gone and proceeded back to the store. On the way I received a call from Derrick, the associate that helped me with the return, letting me know he had my property. 12/4/16 - Made several trips to Home Depot today for indoor paint color samples. Each time we were fortunate enough to have Bear help us!! He not only listened to where we are painting and colors we are considering, he made some excellent suggestions!! Then at the end of the day as he was getting ready to end his shift we came by for a slightly darker color sample. He didn't hesitant to say hi and ask what we needed! He quickly whipped us up a new darker paint sample!! While everyone who works at Home Depot has always been helpful, we really appreciate Bear's friendly and helpful attitude all the time!! UPDATE: Bear pulled out color swatches and discussed finishes with me. He helped me understand how both changed with different lighting during different times of the day. He help with coordinating colors so I would be unhappy with what I ended up with!! read more

I would give this Home Depot four stars based on the majority of my experiences. I do have small bone to pick ... I would like to start with some praise... Kiddos to Jim , Bud, Larry & Senea for all their with help over the last week returning a horrible dishwasher and buying a new one! That being said it's because of the above people you get 4 stars because for the three unnamed people if I had felt only with you I would now be a Lowes guest. Now to pick the Bone: If you are going to have people in place in a dept. please make sure they know what they are doing ... I just spent over $2000 at your store and if it weren't for review sites like yelp and such I would not know what to buy! Make sure that you have the right people in the right place. We had to buy a dryer last week and while waiting over an hour and a half to be finish the sale I watched two other couple leave because the people that needed the help got the none and walked out and y'all missed out on making a day and huge sales ! I had a lady tell me that y'all had top loading dryers ... Really ... Every person who works at this location is usually very helpful. I feel like I'm at home when I visit here. Just want to praise Shaun, who this very evening helped me find two items I was unsure about. He was outstanding and eager to help, not only led me to where the items were but knew all about both of them, and even led me to the front to make my purchase. The whole time we talked about a lot of things. I felt like I had just made a good friend. For sure Shaun is one of the best workers I've encountered at any Home Depot. She turned around and snapped at him. I left and came back. She was still here and when I walked up to another employee at paint to hand my chip in, the employee said the chip is more than adequate. Jessica again turned around, rolled her eyes and snapped at her. The girl turned red. I felt bad for her. Jessica needs to learn better social skills. read more

Wow! What amazing experience!! Saturday 7/29/17 I went in to pick up some items for a DIY project. "Grandpa Ed" (as his orange apron has #1 Grandpa) greeted me near the front counters and asked if I needed help, I asked where I could find the industrial shelves piping at. He pointed me in that direction and proceeded to walk me to the aisle. He then asked what I was building and I told him, he then proceeded help me with design. We got every piece I needed. Then I went over to the lumber aisle picked out my shelves. As I walked back toward the paint area, Ed was right there again and he helped me pick out the paint for the galvanized piping. Ed is nothing short of an asset to this store. He epitomizes customer service!! read more

I love this home depot. They tend to be short handed but they always seem to have what i need. They just recently cleaned out the outside / garden area. It has really made a better look for that outside portion. There staff for the most part know what they are doing. Prices are always pretty good. Everyone that helped us today was awesome. Especially Claudette, the team member that works in the paint department. She helped us find the perfect paint for what we needed and listened to everything we were saying. She was pretty busy and never did we feel rushed. Awesome service. We were stopped several times by employees who asked if we finding everything ok, which is always a nice touch. The team member in the key department was also helpful.
