Some people do not wish to deal with finding an installer for whatever product they buy. Home Depot advertises installation available for many of their products. This is an excellent sales tactic, EXCEPT, in some instances it is misadvertizing. I was interested in a AC mini Split. Home depot carries a brand at the exactly same price as the manufacturer. Neither, charge shipping. So basically, the deal is identical. But you are lured into buying from Home Depot because they offer installation too! When their installer calls, you then find out he does not install the Home Depot mini split but he will gladly offer his brand for few thousands dollars more. So, in summary, Home Depot refers you to an installer who does not install the Home Depot product but offers to install his product. Further more, he claims he does not know why Home Depot did it. There is a level of misrepresention of service in this case. HOME DRPOT my advise, " sell you mini split with a disclaimer stating that Home Depot does not offer installation for this product." read more

I purchased an Amana electric range at the Home Depot on 36th st & Thomas rd Phoenix, Arizona in March 2024 the oven has never worked. I've spoke to the representatives in the appliance department and no one was willing to help me with the range & was told that they do not take back appliances . I was told to to get in touch with whirlpool the company that sells Amana products they sent a technician and he said there was nothing wrong with the stove to call an electrician, so I had George Brazil an electric company here in Phoenix Arizona come out & paid them $250, they said there was nothing wrong with my electrical that it is a defective stove. Both Home Depot & whirlpool are not willing to replace my stove and by the way it is still under Manufactures warranty. nether business is willing to own up for their defective product. I have never encountered such horrible customer service, I will never buy anything from Home Depot or whirlpool ever again. I will take my business to Lowes they back up their Products. Here in Phoenix, we've not seen any recognition, by the army of customer facing contractors, that we are in a Covid-19 pandemic. I've been going to this location for as long as it has been here. Over time the store has gotten worse. they keep re-arranging the store so things that I knew where they were no longer are. employees are hard to find, no one knows where anything is. in some cases it takes me 3 or 4 times asking different people where something is before I can find it. forget asking anyone where things are anymore you have to use the app. but then that says things are in stock but are nowhere to be found. I have to scan the shelves for the SKU then chase down an employee who has to go find stairs and get the item down for me. I usually only go to home depot if a really have to, ace hardwares are easier to navigate, overly helpful and have stuff in stock. read more

Every morning they have 1-2 guys at the Pro Desk and the line is halfway down the aisle. It seems like management and the people at the Pro Desk do not care about customer satisfaction. They clearly see it and know the busy times when contractors come in so why not call in the employees that are qualified to work at the Pro Desk for those hours instead of making their customers wait unacceptable periods of time. read more

Been a Home Depot Customer for over 20 years. Bought 5 Petunias planted them in a group. After a week or so I noticed holes in the flowers. Worm infestation. Every year they seem to have the same problem. I looked and seen others with holes not all but some. I took them back, since no receipt, they would not return them. On March 14, I bought two petunias, and kept the receipt. The cashier told me you have already returned these.. I said no I still have them. No you returned them...asking her when did I returned them she said the register does not give the date. I left the plants,since she said take them back.I left them and there and said I will never shop here again. I'm a Tony Stewart fan, so I've always been partial to HD, and have just gotten used to the merchandise selection, and know where everything is. I've actually spent a lot of time in various stores, just walking around and checking out stuff...I'm a solutionist, so I find alternate uses for everyday products, and Home Depot is one of my favorite places to explore. I've found, in my many explorations, there are others with similar quirks...and they work at Home Depot! What's so cool about that, is they know stuff and have ideas, too, on different ways to use tools, or what that funky plumbing connection can do, or where that odd ball size nut is, and here, "this one will work, too"! I ask questions and enjoy the friendly, helpful staff...sometimes too eager to help, but that's because I probably look lost, roaming the aisles like a kid in a candy store, or an inventor in a knick knack parts store, or a designer in a home improvement store! read more

RIP OFF ALERT. DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT use their contractors for installing anything. Ugh! I wish we'd consulted Yelp before allowing Home Depot's contractor, Parker & Sons, into our life. Parker & Sons ripped off my 80-year old Ma & Pa in-law charging them $1,289 for a water heater installation. This was through Home Depot as their assigned contractor. I tried talking to them after this fiasco and never got anywhere, so... Here's why we're filing with the ROC against them: 1. Never provided an estimate. 2. Spent only 2 hours (or a little under) at their home and to this day THEY STILL REFUSE to provide a cost breakdown receipt for the repair. 3. Water heater only cost $400 @ Home Depot, which means my in-laws are being charged $900 for 2 hours of labor! 4. Never provided a copy of what they were asked to sign. Here's my advice: 1. DO NOT PROCEED WITH THEM WITHOUT A WRITTEN ESTIMATE FOR FULL BREAKDOWN INCLUDING PER HOUR LABOR CHARGE. 2. Do NOT sign their electronic pad thing EVER without seeing what the hell they're asking you to sign. 3. If you've already been a victim of Parker & Sons, file a complaint with the Arizona ROC (license #152654 ), don't waste your time with the BBB. The BBB's ratings are meaningless now that they allow the public to write reviews w/o tying them to the real BBB complaint system. Actual BBB complaints are now buried deep in their site and it's hard to even find them. 4. Don't waste your time with Home Depot unless you write to corporate. The store manager, Chris, refused to provide a cost-breakdown too. How is that even legal? You need to know before going in that even at the store manager level, Home Depot will refuse you a proper receipt with a full breakdown of costs. You're better off getting a handyman to do this work. Period. I've never seen such a blatant outright rip-off of senior citizens than this. read more

I finally called after much time went by and they informed me the order had Been cancelled !!!! I had a Glacier Bay Kitchen faucet leak and it needed a new cartridge...It took at least 3 tries and an argument with in-store associates to get the Custormer Care Number to get a Replacement Cartridge WHICH WAS IS COVERED BY THEIR WARRANTY. I never had ANY problem with ANY other brand of faucet..they ALWAYS REPLACED THE CARTRIDGE PROMPTLY... It took Home Depot over 2 weeks get send me the new cartridge... I was at a loss in getting some shelves cut for an old custom made unit. Was told by several different stores, lumber yards, hardware stores, etc. that they couldn't make that kind of cut and I would need to find a handy man. Not being a carpenter I couldn't see how it wasn't possible. I just needed the corner cut off a square. Home Depot at Thomas and 36th was going to be my last try. I was very lucky to have Riccardo help me. He also told me that they wouldn't be able to make that cut but he figured a way to get it done. We went back to "Tool Rental" and he got the tools and saw horses and a little extra help holding things down and I got my boards cut to fit in my shelving units. This young man didn't have to go the extra mile to help an old lady, the store was very busy and there were lots of "guys" with situations he could have related to better. But he took the time to get my problem resolved. He was very respectful and patient and could have been condescending (which I always expect going into a male oriented business) but was thoughtful and pleasant. We had a very good conversation about a number of topics. Being a retired librarian I was pleasantly surprised to find him well read. Considering the current atmosphere politically, I have been feeling rather negative about my country, but after speaking and being helped by Riccardo I think there may be hope for the future with people like him in it. read more

I had issues with the matches and was frustrated. She is due in a week and the supervisor gave her a LOA or termination choice. She has been picked on by this one supervisor Sarah from day one. She keeps telling my daughter she needs doctors notes for everything like, what she can and can't do. (Hello stupid she is pregnant).My daughter has told them she can't work certain days because she has a class and when she scheduled to work these days they tell her she has to call in sick or it's a no call no show. Came to pick up some electrical conduit. They only sell in 10ft length which does not fit on my car. I asked the rep. who works in the dept. if they could cut it so I could fit it in my car to take home... And they wouldn't cut it. Told me they don't do that. I told him I bought some at the Goodyear location and they did this for me and it even says online that they cut the pipe. I tried to go find a handtool and cut the pipe myself but than I just got mad and frustrated and just went to a different store. I don't think they wanted my business. read more

Absolutely terrible. I ordered a washer and dryer 2 weeks ago. They were suppose to come out Monday and they forgot the stacking kit. They then were scheduled again for Thursday. They canceled on us again due to the washer now be "damaged" she wouldn't send me pictures of it being damaged and was clearly lying like they have Before. The 3rd party company they use to deliver is terrible and rude. Very unprofessional. DO NOT ORDER ANY APPLIANCES FROM THEM. I have heard of other people having the same problem. When I went in a 3rd time someone else had the same issue as us. Don't even try to ask for a manager in this store. They will take over a hour to come out of their office to talk with you. read more

Absolute worst customer service. Jose (General Manager in Rental Department) & Bob of the Rental Department are the worst decisions Home Depot has ever decided to make. They did not take inventory of their rental equipment, which caused a 5 hour back and forth hell just trying to pick up items that were rented - this caused us several hundreds of dollars to be lost, it would have been cheaper to purchase equipment than to trust their rental department. Then the items were not complete - missing parts. Sent us home with a jack hammer that did not turn on. We tried to explain the situation calm and collected because we expected bare minimum that they would be understanding and would want to know how terrible the experience was from beginning to end but that was not what we got. Jose the GM is a terrible representation of Home Depot. He did not care that the equipment did not work, he did not care that we spent 5 hours just driving to and from Home Depot which cost us several hundred dollars. He did not care that Bob was not taking inventory, that Bob had zero product knowledge and that Bob did not know how to assemble a shop vac. He did not care. He was rude and defensive rather than being what a true General Manager is. When we confronted him with "if you don't care, then I will need to speak to someone else" he decided to turn into a security guard and kick us out of Home Depot. I will 100% be contacting Home Depot's corporate level. This man needs to be retrained or demoted or get anger management before he causes a lawsuit or puts someone in harms way by giving them faulty equipment and not caring an ounce. read more
