Tis the season to shop for a tree. I'm a pretty picky Christmas tree shopper and I always break the rules... That shouldn't surprise anyone... I always look for the nest in the tree which really isn't fair because they say when you find a nest it is good luck looking for one in a tree is kind of good luck but to find it on your own and not look for it is really the way it should be. I came today because I have hemmed and hawed and really have not felt in the Christmas spirit this year. I lost my mom in 2012 and this year it's kind of bothering me not having her with me in fact it hurts a lot because I really love my mom so I dragged my feet until today and broke down and bought a tree. I did get a 7 foot tree because I have vaulted ceilings that are about 10 feet high so I don't want to try to look too small, last year I had an enormous 10 to 11 foot tree that I nearly broke my back on so this year I decided on a 7 foot tree and it's easy to lift, I tried, so I won't be killing myself putting it up or taking it down. My trees price was $36 which is amazing. I went to a different tree farm and their prices were nearly double that for the same tree. I'm not a cheap person and I never will be but I just cannot see spending so much money on something that I'm going to have up for a week or two and take it down and think that I spent a lot of money for just a tree. I wouldn't let the gentleman that was helping me untie my tree because I want to see on my own if the tree has a nest in it(it didnt have a nest BUT it did have some kind of berries in it). My car smells delicious with the scent of pine which is one of my most favorite smells in the entire world I cannot wait to see my tree all decorated for the holidays and even if I'm feeling sad this year because I miss my mom. I guess seeing all of the ornaments that we gave each other throughout the years will make it better, I hope,,, My recommendation,,,buy your tree here, they are fresh, not over priced and there is a good selection of small or large trees to choose from. read more

Worst store ever! I have a problem everytime I called.. so many times i get hung up on.. I try dealing with this online order no one knows what's going on..store says to call online.and online say I have to go to store to fix .. the store doesn't know what Going on.. I try calling 15 mins before they closed.. on hold the whole time.. then Michelle the closing manager says the store is already closed.. I was like I know.. I have been on hold this whole time.. to get hung up on.. then she says I'm sorry everyone has gone home.. but your the f'ing manager.. they told me to speak with the manager to get this handled. We were at the Home Depot on Copans on Saturday June 26th looking for a ceiling fan, the gal in the lighting department told us they no longer had stock but looked at other stores that may have it. She refereed us to customer service so they could look up at other stores for availability. At the customer service desk there was a true gentleman by the name Jerome, he was patient, understood our need and also gave us specs on the fan; he was wonderful. He called many stores until he found the one store that had just 1 fan available, so he ask that they hold in customer service. When we got to the Deerfield Beach store Ed in electrical already had the fan in customer service waiting for us. We no longer expect this type of service at retail stores, things has changes and employees don't seem to care. Instead Jerome was awesome and I want to thank him for his time, knowledge and excellent customer service. read more

Mr Chris was very helpful and very throughly with information to help me getting a rental truck!!! Home Depot Deerfield Beach has no clue of what's going on in their store! Called Deerfield Beach location Saturday night to confirm and specify if they have a van, they told me yes! That is first come first serve. Well, Sunday morning at 7 am I was there and, surprise!! No van available, they proceeded to tell me they don't have a van for the past 3 weeks !!! So, long story short, call Mr Chris for your rental !!!! read more

After spending countless thousands of dollars on plants from Home Depot. Upon returning a disease dead bonsai I was first interrogated that March 7th was the date that I bought this plant as if I was coming in some sort of fraud like I have time for this nonsense. Then a manager comes over and questions me and says it's not a dead bonsai when in fact it is it's obvious from the stalk and from the tag still on the stalk. Now granted I bought it from Coconut Creek but this happened to be on my way to Miami it's never been a problem for me before at any of the Home Depot. Finally the manager says just give him his money when she realized it was in fact a bonsai. I love most Home Depots my few experiences at this one it reminds me of a trashy neighborhood Walmart! read more

Unfortunately desirable service wasn't rendered. I visit the Home Depot on Copans Road in Pompano Beach with the expectation of having two doors installed. Spent at least 2 hours ordering the doors, waited a week for measurements. Finally, almost 2 weeks later someone contacted me saying " we don't have your order". Very frustrating after waiting almost 2 weeks with written proof of my original order. I tried to reorder, the employee was very insensitive in the time I had already spent, the price & plans changed drastically. I canceled the order. My husband and I went to Home Depot at 4.30 pm on Tuesday 23rd February to order shades and blinds. The sales assistant in this department was wearing her mask below her nose. For all of our safety we asked her to cover her nose in accordance with the store's regulations. She informed us that the virus is no longer here, it doesn't exist, and 'they' are just drawing it out for another year. We were appalled, left the store immediately, went to Lowes where we received excellent customer service and placed a large order. I Bought a carpet from Home Depot about 4 1/2 years ago. I wanted to have them look at the carpet because it was under a lifetime 25 year warranty. NEVER get carpet installed! They use the cheapest and most unprofessional installers. They can't coordinate their time or carpet delivery. Once the job is done they leave it a mess! Pieces of baseboard thrown in the bathroom, closet doors not reinstalled, tile transition done like like they have never installed carpet before. Horrible experience. See pictures. read more

I'm sorry Yelp doesn't give a no star option. I've only given Home Depot one star because I'm forced to. Don't ever use Home Depot to renovate your kitchen or anything else! After eight months, I have a kitchen (that measures approximately 10' x 8') where the cabinet doors open and hit other cabinets or appliances. I'm told the fault is in the design, which was handled by an incompetent who's first comments to me were that he hated Home Depot and couldn't wait to retire. (and he's still employed) I should have walked out right then and there. He failed to include painting the kitchen once the installation was done so Home Depot gave me a can of paint and a roller so I could paint it myself. My appliances were damaged by Home Depot delivery people and it took six months to get replacements...this was all after having paid a private contractor to prep the kitchen so that all Home Depot had to do was the electric, the plumbing and the cabinet installation. I also purchased carpeting for the master bedroom from Home Depot. I specifically wanted adhesive tack strip installation (and paid for it) and before I could stop them, the Home Depot installers used nails and ruined my tiles. I'm now currently trying to negotiate with the Home Depot store to get reimbursement for the damage. In more than a month since the liability claim was filed, I've heard nothing and I'm not surprised. Lastly, I ordered $400 custom closet doors and the Home Depot installer installed one that was damaged and tried to leave without saying a word. Thankfully, I saw the damage. It took nine weeks to get a replacement door and then another two weeks for the installer to come back to put it in. Because I was not getting any resolution from the store, I contacted the CEOs office. The service I've received is just slightly better that the service received from the store. This has been a nightmare. After spending a total of $26,000 in that store, they're offering me $2000 as compensation for my aggravation, stress and lousy workmanship. My recommendation to anyone who thinks the Home Depot Project Loan Account is a great deal - take out a personal loan and hire your own contractors! This was an expensive lesson learned. read more

Customer service employee, Ashley, was very unprofessional. Although I didn't call her out in person yesterday for her snickers and remarks after an order of mine was canceled, I made sure to take down her name. I heard her mocking me after I said "what do you mean my order was canceled" and she said under her breath "canceled means canceled! What don't you understand?! This is why I need to go back to cashier." If this is how she feels, well maybe she doesn't need to be working in a customer service job because I have worked for plenty and the one thing I can say that I've learned is how to bite your tongue especially when it it's not a big deal. She wasn't even my customer service representative! A nice young lady Shannon was! So why was she butting into my business in the first place? I don't know. Aside from this, she also was talking about going to a nearby night club Cafe Iguanas afterwards, which I also find unprofessional to be broadcasting. If I could hear it, so can others. DON'T BUY ANY KITCHENAID PRODUCT OR ANY APPLIANCE AT HOME DEPOT!!! The rails on our high end dishwasher are held together by 1 mm aluminum rivets, and they rusted and broke on our unit in just 3 weeks. A dishwasher with internal parts that rust--enough said! This is supposed to be a high end, stainless steel "brand name" product. We expected we'd brag about it and own it for 10 years or more. Instead, neither Kitchenaid nor Home Depot would replace or refund the product after multiple, lengthy calls with customer service, including a conference call with both of them at the same time where they did the "he went thataway" act. What a couple of Looney Tunes outfits! We're not going to be fixing this piece of garbage every 3 weeks. We kissed $1000 goodbye, took the product to the curb, and we're looking at a Bosch from Lowe's. In the meantime, we'll be hand-washing our Thanksgiving dishes because they weren't willing to even send a repairman for two weeks. Never again will we walk into a Home Depot, or consider a Kitchenaid-Maytag-Whirlpool product. read more

This store called my number at 8:47 am and tried to send fax to my cell phone, which is on National-do-not-call registry. I never did business with this store. It is illegal to call the number on National-do-not call registry. All of Home depot stores call my cell phone number during odd hours and try to send fax. Very disappointed. I presented my VA card and they denied me my Veterans discount. I own a plumbing company which my employees spend on average $300.00 a day with Home Depot for parts. The Home Depot rental department here is awful. The Dept. manager seems to be hopelessly out of her league. There are no good procedures for storing and finding items put in for repair. They lost my pressure washer for two days. This Pompano store used to be the very finest Home Depot store at which to shop. At one time in the recent past, it was an excellent source of help for both retail and contractor buyers. I can't speak for the contractors now, but as a retail consumer I have found the store has become an overnight nightmare of confusion and lack of caring, since HD brought in a cadre of part-time staff who seem to know little the products and care even less about the customer's concerns. Only the remaining experienced professional staff make shopping here at all a possibility, but those pros are few and far between. I've frequented this store for as long as I can recall (and I've lived in my house for 25 years), but that is "over". I'll find another store - one that values their customers' positive experiences and satisfaction. This store is on its way down, and if the problem is systemwide for Home Depot thanks to their cost saving measure of hiring unskilled, unknowledgeable part-timers, then it's time to find a different retailer. Save yourself the grief and don't shop at this store for anything more than a bag of nails. And good luck with that!! read more

I would have rated it a -0- if it were available. This is the 3rd time I have ordered an item on-line and picked it up in the store. Every experience has been terrible, but last night was the worst. The line was long because they shut down the contractor line. Seriously, so I had to wait behind several contractors checking out with many items. Finally, after waiting 25 minutes, the guy in line behind me asked for a manager. Took another 15 minutes for her to show up. In the meantime the line grew longer and longer. There was a couple that started hovering around the front of the line. They were not in the line. Finally when all of the contractors got waited on, the manager asked who was next in line. The couple waiting upfront jumped in front of me. I told them they were not next that we had all been in line for over 30 minutes now, and almost had a throw down, because she was about to wait on them. The woman who was waiting on the contractors was totally incompetent. She was on the phone the whole time. At one point there were 5 other employees standing behind the counter doing nothing!!! This is the worst Home Depot I have ever been to in my life, and I will never go back. read more
