It isn't easy to get in or out here from Gantzel, no matter which way you are heading. But I was in the neighborhood and needed a key made so I decided to give this place a shot. They do have a lot of things here for your handyman needs, and their bbq grill selection out front is pretty extensive. The employees weren't exactly friendly though. I don't know what the guy making the keys was up to before I showed up, but I have to believe it was solving world hunger or something more important cause he sure was pissed when I interrupted him and asked him to make a key for me. read more

Just lost a corporate client, sucks because we have historically done tons of business here. Won't rekey locks without an original key. This is standard in our business when keys are lost, it just increases corporate cost so we have to take our business elsewhere. Sad. I know there may be reasons for this, but with a verified business that deals with this daily it's a complete waste to constantly buy new custom hardware. read more

Instead of being upset about a last-minute customer, the new hire went above and beyond--he grabbed the bag for me, checked me out quickly, and even carried it to my car. Our area was recently blessed with the opening of it's first hardware store! This Ace is a VERY welcome addition to San Tan Valley! No more driving into Queen Creek or Mesa for hardware needs - how refreshing! I visited the store for the first time today, and was really impressed! Tons of merchandise, and a store full of helpful employees - all less thank two miles from my home! Although I only needed some light bulbs today, I'll definitely be back the next time I need a hardware item. The store is nice and new - I recommend stopping by if you're in the area! This store is amazing! The store is clean, and has signs informing you where products are. The most important aspect of this store is the customer service and knowledge of all their products. Every time I come to the store I'm always greeted at the front door by the cashiers. The staff always asks if I need help finding what I need. And to top it off, the employees know their products. I went to the store and an employee asked if I needed help. I told him my issue and he showed me what I needed with explanations. This store is amazing!! I dropped my Chain saw off for service a month ago. I went into the store today and asked how much longer it would be. The service person said, "I don't know. We are waiting on parts." So I asked when the parts would be in, and again, the service person said, "I don't know." This is very poor customer service, and I am very disappointed. I usually have good service here, but this response is unacceptable, especially when they do not bother to call me and let me know they are delayed. They need to manage their suppliers better and provide better customer service, or I will look for somewhere else to take my business. read more

Bought a chainsaw used it twice wouldn't start brought it in to have it checked out came back to get it. They said I needed to pay for a new carburetor which they installed already said I ran it without an air filter. It was a brand new saw would not even think of taking off the air filter. Very poor customer service. not really a Walmart guy, but at least when you buy something, they'll take it back if not working properly. read more

I've been annoyed the last few times I visited Ace because of the lack of face coverings. Today topped it off. Not only was there the usual absence of masks on customers, but I could not find a single employee with a covering. I guess Covid got over and I missed it, but I will not be returning and will drive the extra 5 miles to another store. read more

The place is ok if you need something quickly and don't want to take the trip to Home Depot. I had mixed experiences , some staff members are helpful, others not so much. I needed Spraypaint for a project and wanted to make sure it was the right kind. Older worker with white hair and a goatee wasn't very friendly and seemed bothered by my questions. Anytime I have a question , I need to walk the store and find help. I've never been offered assistance. Another thing that bothers me- not one employee is wearing a mask or cares to distance. I've never seen any sanitation going on either. Yes, I can go online but sometimes you want to see what you're buying. All other businesses have some kind of protocol, this location has not. It is uncomfortable if you go on a busy weekend. read more

This is absolutely my fav store in QC! The employees are so helpful, cheerful and truly enjoy their jobs! A few deserve special shout outs tho, and that would be one lady who I THINK is named Felicia (sorry if I'm wrong with the name), but she actually greets me by my name and makes sure to say "bye Ma***" as I leave. She is always SO happy, and she definitely brightens my mood up whenever I see her. Steve was so helpful with the plumbing aisle and even tho it wasn't his strength (self admitted), he stayed with me until he found someone who could help me. He was able to explain my need to the next guy better than I could so within minutes... I was on my way. In addition to that... Steve found out that I wasn't excited about "killing" mice, so he suggested the capture and release method (which I didn't know existed), and I'm not exaggerating on how that literally made my day!! Then there was a very kind lady named Roberta who helped me with ant killer the previous day. As you probably know by now... I HATE killing anything and although I was resigned to the ants... I worried about the birds so she suggested the stakes which I feel way better about. Great job Ace in providing a work environment that employees no doubt love to be at!! Who knows... maybe I'll apply once I retire lol. read more

I was very happy to have San Tan Ace open in our area. But heads up. Aisles are VERY narrow. No way to distance even a foot. None of the employees wore masks or distanced themselves. An older man who was sent to assist me coughed a foot from me and did not cover his mouth with hand or elbow. I asked him to please back up and he did not. read more

When Ace first opened, they were great. But their customer service has gone down tremendously. They also have a huge issue with shelf pricing! Multiple times now I have gone in to purchase items and those items do not ring up what the shelf says, they ring up more. This location refuses to price match what their shelf says! I would rather support Home Depot, Lowe's or even Walmart over Kabat's San Tan Ace! If you're going to have items on a shelf stating a price, then honor that price! read more

Went to this location to pick up a electric tire pump for like bikes and balls and kids toys. I live less than a mile away and so this was the obvious choice. I found what I was looking for but it was $90 for the one that will plug into a wall outlet all the others needed the car Jack outlet. I was shocked it was this much, and not any other selection. So I drove farther to a Lowe's and picked one up for $45 and in my opinion a better pump than what was at this location. They need to work on there pricing and product, and stop ripping people off. read more

Not sure if this guy was a manager but when I was asking for help he kept trying to pawn me off on other people and finally when he realized he was the guy who was gonna have to help he did. Then when I asked him for the second can of paint he found someone who wasn't knowledgeable at all with the paint and ended up having to help her anyways. He could've saved us all time and either worked directly with her or just fixed my paint. I hope this isn't how they are teaching people how to be managers not to lead from the front but to delegate everything. Just very lousy customer service. Don't bother with this store. Rude and combative employees! Needed a key duplicated and they didn't have my type of blank. They told me if I brought my own blanks in they could do it, no problem. I special-ordered a few online somewhere else (probably paid a ton more than I should have) and brought them in, only to be told that they will not and that the machine was broken anyway. When I pressed and told the guy what I was told just last week, his story kept changing. Now the machine *wasn't* really broken -- he just didn't want to deal with cutting my kind of key. The guy was super arrogant and combative. He clearly just didn't want to be bothered. And hey store owner: if you don't believe me pull the videos from this week and last. Your guy deserves a trip to the unemployment office for the way he talks to customers. read more

I've been to this location a couple of times. It has a good supply of a lot of different items. Before I went in to the store today, I checked their website to see if they had the item I needed. When I got to the store, the items were a higher price. I asked the cashier to price match their website which I was told they do not do. I don't understand why a store would not price match when it is their website. It is not a different owner's/locations website. I went to this ace a few days ago to get some bolts and man did I get help!! I went to the bolts and Owen one of the employees immediately came and helped me find the bolts I needed! While he was helping me another employee came over and helped me and him find the rest of the bolts I needed!
