I was annoyed that Yelp kept prompting me to review this location, I've been here many times. But they were right, I had overlooked it. When I was doing a major remodel I had to visit many home stores, this one just got lost I guess. My recent visit was for a few general items, all of which they had and at decent prices by my reckoning. In fact on one visit I went elsewhere first only to come here for the needed item. But I think what surprised me most was the credit card offer when I went to check out. Sales are rare here so it was an opportunity for me to save a few dollars, $25 to be exact! I probably won't use the credit card much, but who knows, maybe a small home improvement project this spring? In the past I've gotten less decorative home improvement things here, but also some quality floor lamps and I think my medicine cabinet. I've always found the customer service to be good, and if you don't sneak in an exit you will find a greeter able to assist you in most cases. My one negative impression would be their lack of cashiers, they are actively encouraging self checkout. With so many items in inventory it can clog up the process when a few folks are having issues with the register. On the sales floor there does appear to be enough help. read more

I'm generally not a fan of big box hardware for routine everyday jobs. Sure they love being your best friend if you're a contractor, a homeowner scoping out a major do-it-for-me remodel or when you're in desperate need of a washer/dryer pronto - but for advice on a pedestrian quick fix, you're generally on a journey without so much as a Sherpa or a store map. Except, for some reason in their Robbinsville store (which is a haul from my house, btw.) What wormhole have I fallen into, there are actually people available to answer questions and point you in the right direction. Maybe I'm hallucinating or I've just been the unwitting recipient of a few too many concussions but whatever it is, I don't want to wake up. An easy five stars. read more

We ordered building materials and paid for delivery. On the day of delivery we got a message that we weren't home (we were home all day). We called Home Depot- the morning manager, Brian, said the driver marked the order as undeliverable (on accident) and we were told it would arrive today. No delivery. Called the evening manger, Evan, who said the driver never loaded the items in his truck and the materials aren't in the store. This is the worst example of management. Completely incompetent. My two sump pumps in my basement stopped working. I called Home Depot and spoke to Glen in plumbing who assured me that it was easy to replace. He told me to take out the one that wasn't working with the pipes attached and bring it to the store. He cut the pipes for me and put them together so all I had to do was drop it in the hole and plug it in. I told him would do one to see if I could do it and then come back for the second one. I got the first one in and working and went back for the second one. Returned home and the four inches of water was gone from the basement and put in the second one. I was able to get two pumps in that were higher horsepower than the ones the plumber was going to put in and it costs me $800.00 less. read more

All Home Depots look alike. The only difference is in the level of service and the quality of the employees on the floor to help the customer. I purchased plumbing parts in their Langhorne, Pa. store, and easily returned them for refund here in Robbinsville, NJ. The parts were wrong for our toilet. Home Depot is a joke of a corporation. I was trying to place a large online order from Hamilton and their website only offered the same day delivery on the day that I was trying to place an order. It was 8 pm in the evening. So, I knew that they could not possibly deliver on the same day. However, the system did not allow me to change a delivery date. I called the .com CSR and he told me that he also could not change the order date and suggested that I call the store directly. However, when I called the store, an associate told me that unlike the .com CSRs he cannot see the order that is still in process and that he could only take the items over the phone. I had 87 items, so naturally I was not going to read them all to the CSR. I told him that I will take my business to Lowe's. And I sure did. Not only did I place an order that went smoothly but I also was able to save over 300 dollars on the same items I was trying to order from Home Depot. I guess, I will be shopping at Lowe's from now on. Totally disappointing experience. read more

Not at all happy with the poor customer service that I experienced this morning. Yesterday I left a bag of items at the self checkout, upon arriving home I realized it and immediately called the store- after finding my bag still sitting at the register "Nicki" told me she'd put my name on it and it would be at the customer service desk. Not only was my bag not at the customer service desk but I was told that they didn't have an employee named Nicki???? I felt as if the woman was insinuating that I was lying - after getting the manager and retrieving the items from the store shelves I verified by showing him my call log that I had indeed called the store after the purchase and definitely had a conversation- why did someone lie about their name???? Who knows??? What I can say is that perhaps anyone working behind the customer service desk should be skilled in customer service! read more

I'd rate this store 0 stars if I could. terrible customer service. no one helps you while you walk around in circles. was prepared to make a big sale (fridge, dishwasher, stove, microwave and more) and was told that no one could help me because the "specialists" weren't in for another hour or two so i had to wait or figure it out myself. then i was told to "wait until july" even though I explained we needed new appliances now. when i said we were looking for a dishwasher because ours broke, the employee told me "the dishwasher isn't broken, you're right here" as he and another employee laughed.. again, we had a terrible experience and they should consider hiring all new employees because their current ones are awful. read more

I'm a regular at this Home Depot. I think I could spend hours at Home Depot just walking up and down the aisles. There are so many tools, hardware, etc that must help facilitate any project for the skilled artisan. Unfortunately, I am not that guy although I'm getting a little better with each project I take on now that I'm retired. These stores have everything. I bought some organic vegetable plants there that were nice sized. They are doing well in my garden. I bought a wheel barrel this past spring. After conferring with one of the store personnel he pointed me towards to an outside display of of wheel barrels that were already put together instead of my having to put one together. He also helped me get it into my car. If I have one negative its that there are not enough personnel available when you you need one. When the store first opened you couldn't walk down an aisle without bumping into an employee. Now you often have to search for help. read more

Not a big fan of mass marketing establishments who advertise certain items and don't stock them. I end up spending more going there than anticipated. I had to go to this store as what I needed was not available at ones near my house. I order online for a pickup, I was supposed to be contacted by text once the package was ready, but they never did. I went there and showed my printed order receipt and had to wait another half hour to get what I needed when all they had to do was take it off the shelf. They do have more things than most Home Depot, but you just have to be patient. To enter the parking lot can be challenging if you're not familiar with the area. read more

This is a perfectly average Home Depot. You'll find very little to surprise you. Prices are fine, selection and inventory are both generally good. Always lots of employees about; generally about half of them are extremely helpful while the other half look like they don't want to be there. If you come across a less than useful associate, just wait a minute and talk to the next one who will inevitably stroll by. Only serious drawback is that the parking lot is generally pandemonium, but that's the fault of the customers, not the store. All on all, the Hamilton Home Depot is exactly what I expect from a big box home improvement store, for better or for worse. read more

Not impressed with the 'ship to store' option. I got an email saying that all the items in my order were ready for pick up... Got there, one was missing, and they told me that it was still on the way. They didn't even apologize for their mistake. The item arrived the next day, so I had to go back. I would just have waited for my whole order if they hadn't sent the erroneous email, and saved an hour of my time. Let me start by saying I always go to Home Depot in Robbinsville, NJ. I purchased vinyl flooring which I love. I wanted to do by redo my stairs, I was looking into cap a treads I have 14 stairs (including) landing. When I saw the price I was it's going to take forever because they are $50 a piece. So I looked for alternative, so I went on Home Depot website and saw this listed I was like ok prices is great I could get 13 this and cut down to size without wasting wood. I thought I would be able to order online and shipped to store you can't and I tried to do express delivery to have it shipped to my home can't even do that. I even searched other stores which was too far for only 1. Why would you have this on your website and not have the product in stores or have the option to buy online? Besides being very difficult to find a person to help, they now have outside vendors walking around trying to sell things. I was in a conversation with my wife picking out lighting and he interrupts us and asks if we were interested in solar. I said no, and he then asks why wouldn't I want to save. I tell him we have no current interest and go back to picking lights. He hangs around and then asks why I don't want it. If I'm shopping I do t want to be disturbed having to answer questions and explain why. Setup a table in front and interested people will stop and see you. Never, ever buy countertop from Home Depot. The installation of quartz countertop in our home was appalling....uneven backsplash, ugly seams, and Home Depot took no responsibility for the work of the subcontractor. We had no recourse to the shoddy work done. Also had a French door installed by a HD subcontractor ... the first guy couldn't figure out how to put the screen in. The second installer did get the screen figured out, but the poor installation job has been a problem ever since. read more

I have always had a good experience at this store until this past Sunday. This may be a minor thing, but to me it was not. I was there when they opened -- actually, 30 minutes before they opened that morning-- because I had a million things to do. I was there to buy paint. The store opens at 8, not a second early, and i rush to the paint counter. Little did I know that the two paint employees now needed 20 MINUTES to clean the paint machines from the day before. I stood there cooling my heels. I was barely acknowledged as i stood there. The one male employee had been on premises for at least 30 minutes because I saw him enter the store. And yet he and another employee waited until the store opened to start cleaning the paint machines. Just think that could be done at end of shift or before the store opened. really, really annoying. read more

This is the best Home Depot in the area. U can tell because all the contractors going there is busier than any other Home Depot I've seen and its way bigger than one in Lawrence or one by east Windsor. Not sure what everyone else is talking about with lower stars. Where are they shopping then? Ace with 1/10 of the products? Lowes that really is clueless? The associates are always there to help particularly at this Home Depot and I have been helped greatly by many different Home Depot associates. And way better than lowes any day of the week. Try have someone there help and I bought 2 different wrong products on two different days because they aren't as educated in construction as Home Depot associates. read more

Update: They issued me a PARTIAL refund since they promised new gutters would fix leak but didn't. Doesn't make much of a difference because now contractors are talking about extending roofline and needing to remove gutters to access siding so gutters were still a waste. Months later I'm still having issues with the quality of the installation such as: improper slopes and downspouts cut too short. The subcontractors are coming to look at these issues so we shall see. read more

I would like to relate my experience at the Robbinsville, NJ (#9027) store while trying to order an Andersen window for my customer. On Wednesday 4/4/2018, I spoke to a store associate, Randall, at the Pro Desk located at the front of the store. I have been getting quotes there for my special order items for many years. I requested a quote on an Andersen bay window. Randall, who always performs in a courteous and professional manner, agreed to e-mail me an estimate by the end of the day. I received the estimate within the hour. I then wrote a proposal to my customer for installing the window. My customer responded to the proposal on 4-12-2018, asking that I change the style to a casement bow window, and asking that I include the prefinished white interior instead of the unfinished pine interior included in the original estimate. I again visited the store at about 10:00 AM on the morning of 4-13-2018 to request the changes and order the window, and an additional custom-sized storm door. Three employees were mulling around the desk chatting, and an employee was sitting at the desk where Randall usually is stationed, using the phone. After completing her call, she informed me that Randall was out sick. I then asked the woman to help me, and she politely declined, stating that she was a new employee and that she would rather have someone more experienced help me. She then asked one of the chatting employees to help me. That particular employee has been employed by the store for many years and has quoted Andersen prices to me in the past. I am not absolutely sure, but I believe that her first name is Kim. When I told her that I needed to make changes to the original estimate, she told me that I needed to go to the Millwork desk at the rear of the store because they do not do Andersen estimates there. I stated that I do not deal with the employee at the millwork desk due to previous problems. As I tried to explain that my original quote was from Randall at the Pro desk, she shouted over me rather than listening to me, saying that she does not do Andersen estimates and if I didn't want to deal with the Millwork desk that I should leave the store. I agreed to do so and told her that I would order the window instead at Hamilton Supply, a much more professional outfit. She responded that I should do so. I have never been treated so disrepectfully by a store employee as I was by this particular employee. I am so sorry that I was a distraction from her chit chat (which could be overheard and definitely was not job related, but was about how nice the weather was and what they were going to do after work). She may have been having a bad day or something, however I am a customer at the store trying to make a purchase, and I would think that part of her job description would include helping customers. It seemed to me that she was trying to impress the new employee by showing how disrespectfully she could treat a customer and get away with it. All I was doing was visiting the store trying to make a purchase. Her response to me was totally out of line. She made it quite clear to me that she could not care less if I purchased at Home Depot or elsewhere. If Home Depot wants to have a so-called Pro Desk you may want to have only Pro employees working it. This particular employee is no Pro; she is in desperate need of some intensive schooling on how to provide proper customer service. I will assume from this employee's behavior that Home Depot no longer wishes to sell windows unless the installation is included also. Future purchases of my windows and doors will be made elsewhere. read more

Went to the store to buy a new dishwasher on 1/1/18. Salesman sat in a chair and did not move from the chair. Acted as if customers were annoying him. Begrudgingly sold us a dishwasher. Informed us"' the installer will call you." 10 days later the "installer" who looked like he just got out of prison,with all the tattoos on his arms,hands, and neck, arrived to "install" my dishwasher. He announced that he would not install the dishwasher due to "copper pipes" and "need 34 and 1/2 inches of length,you only have 34 inches". Advised me that the, "salesman at Home Depot should have told you." What is the point of a dishwasher that is not installed? I cancelled the order,no one seemed to care. Purchased a new dishwasher and had it INSTALLED,so I could actually use it,from a local ,family owned,appliance center,(ALbos,in Mt Holly) and had a totally different experience. My roommate and I went to home depot tonight to buy a Christmas tree for our apartment. Being proactive we measured our ceilings and found them to be 7 and 1/2 feet tall. So we went in knowing we couldn't get a tree taller than 7 feet. When we got there they had about 4 feet tall trees and what looked like 8-foot trees that were all labeled at 6-7 feet. We found a tree we loved and stood in the rain while waiting for an associate to cut and wrap the tree. The cashier stood in her little booth and stared at us while we waited in the rain. Luckily two very nice customers told us that they were in "rare form tonight" and we would need to go inside to get someone to cut it. We went inside where they had to page someone to come out and cut the tree. We informed the man cutting the tree that it could be no more than 7 feet as if it were over that it would not fit in our apartment. He said, "It's labeled 6-7 feet so you should be fine." He cut the bottom to get a clean cut and held it up to himself and goes "I'm 5'7 it should be good." HA! I was flabergasted that at a HARDWARE STORE he couldn't take the time to ACTUALLY measure it. He used his own height to estimate. We then go to put the tree on our car and they don't help us at all. They gave us a long piece of rope... no scissors and sent us on our way. They then closed the gates to the garden center and said they are closing now and cant help us. It was 8 pm.... (The garden center closed at 10 pm). So in the pouring rain my roommate and I (both under 5'5 had to get a tree on top of our SUV by ourselves and somehow tie it down with a rope that we couldn't cut. We get the tree home... up the steps and into our apartment... we measure the tree... its 8 feet 4 inches. When we specifically told this man it could not be more than 7 feet. We went to happily singing Christmas songs to be soaking wet, upset and not able to put up our tree and out $65 because someone was too lazy and incompetent to do their job correctly. The man cutting the tree could care less and the women who checked us out was nasty and rude. Never go to this home depot. They are essentially the grinch who ruined Christmas. The highlight of the whole experience was the man who came all the way to our apartment to cut the tree for us and fixed the whole problem for us. I wasn't able to get his name but he fixed everything for us. Props to him. read more
