I came in here really quick to buy some sort of sealant for a bookshelf. I'm working on and I had no idea they had this money options!! I literally have no idea what I'm doing so luckily there was somebody working in the paint department that could give me enough information in helping me pick the right Style of tint and sealant. There were so many different cashiers and giant carts everywhere along with a handful of people at self checkout that I just use self checkout because it was faster? I honestly do not like the little chaos, but the line for the regular registers was rather lengthy! The parking lot is really busy watch out for random bolts or screws and I was on my way within an at least 15 minutes. The majority of my time I spent asking questions within the paint department. Quality/Quantity - Been a long time since I have been to this HD, actually it was one of my favorites back in the day. Today, it took me hours to find everything I needed... I like the self-service vending propane tank. This was the first I have ever seen, well the first at a HD. Atmosphere - Consistent. Small food stand, perfect for that snack or hot dog fix. Open 7 days a week from 6am or 7am to 8pm or 10pm, see pictures, their website, or Yelp. Plenty of parking. Plenty of day laborers if you need. Service - This location (20+ years ago) used to be the best. But today, not only do they NOT walk you to the product (that is hard to find) but they gave me the wrong aisle #. Good thing for the HD website/app. I should have just used that instead. The good news is that as a DIYer, I am used to self-service. Price - $500; today's project was way more expensive than I expected. Sadly, I am sure I will be back almost every day until I am done. In the middle of a Friday afternoon the customer service desk was mildly busy, we had to wait maybe 5 minutes We also checked out their light switch section and were surprised that they had such a limited inventory compared to the other Home Depot in Sunnyvale. Really great experience shopping by at my local Home Depot. I'm working on a project to make custom sized dolly's for outdoor use to use for my umbrella bases. The bases are 400lbs and have started to make rust marks on our custom blue stone patio. I needed to find a solution but there's nothing online I could purchase, so I went ahead with a plan to build my own. I already did enough research to know I needed a mildew/mold primer for the wood base. Since this is going to stay outside 100% it's a must. I spoke with the paint department & they guided me to the deck paint where that would be the most durable for "all weather" use. I expressed that I wanted to make it textured so they whipped up a gallon in black and were incredibly helpful. Next, I needed to create my bases. I have two different sized bases and knew I didn't have the tools at home to cut them to perfect size. When I went to the lumber department, one of the team members helped me select the best wood, helped cut them both to size, and also gave me some additional tips on what type of screws and/or bolts would do best based on the wheels I purchased. The staff are so friendly, incredibly helpful, & will certainly go the extra mile to assist with your project needs. Enjoyed the visit for sure! read more

Yesterday 11/06/25 I received the best customer service at this Home Depot, since they opened. I'll give this kind, soft spoken gentleman 10 Stars I was looking to view a refrigerator I've ordered, I couldn't find it on the floor, and he searched extensively on the computer without any luck. After about 10 min I told him it was ok, after all it would get delivered Saturday, I was just curious since I was there anyway. 5 min later, he found me in an isle... seriously... and told me he found it !!! I'm still impressed sitting here writing this, what a kind soul, and he definitely makes Home Depot a better place to visit/shop at. But wait... my luck didn't end there... I was looking for floor paint, and I briefly asked the guy in the paint department (while he was with another customer) to point me in the right direction for my search. 5 min later he (also) found me, and assisted me with the various products available. I don't know if they got better managers, to hire better employees that actually cares about their customers... but I hope they keep this up, as it was the BEST visit to Home Depot ever. Thank you HDepot. The only reason for the 4 Stars are the numbering of the different isles... they are rather confusing (try to find isle 32) and a few more employees to be available would be great. read more

Disappointing Customer Service at Home Depot - 975 S De Anza Blvd, San Jose, CA I visited this Home Depot on June 5th to purchase a garage door spray. There was an employee named Delmer in charge of that section, standing near aisle 20 where the product was located. Despite being nearby, he made no effort to assist customers. When I asked for help choosing the right spray, he responded with clear impatience and reluctance. Only after repeated requests did he finally walk me over to the shelf--again, very unwillingly. I chose to shop at this physical store rather than online (even though I'm an Amazon Prime member) because I want to support local businesses, I trust Home Depot's product quality, and I expect professional guidance from its staff. Unfortunately, this experience was very disappointing. I hope Home Depot provides better training for its employees so that long-time customers like me can regain confidence in the service and support we've come to expect over the years. read more

This review is long overdue. I want to bring awareness to our community that's thinking of using Home Depot for their home remodeling to think twice about using their service. If I could give them a less than 0 rating, I would. We were enticed by the 24-month no interest offer. It started with issues because my credit card statement did not reflect that. I had to contact the rep several times before they cleared it up. The day of the demo finally came in the early part of July. The installer carelessly covered our appliances, as you can see by the small cardboards over our oven and dishwasher. The dishwasher was pulled out without unfastening the legs. Cardboards were just thrown on the floors without taping down. His tools were just left around our house at night when he left. There were bubbles in the laminate because the installer did not clean up the dust, even though we covered the parts of the house since he did not. The cabinets were not leveled therefore this delayed in getting the countertop installed. The cabinet hinges were not even. There were parts undone. There were parts undelivered. They installed the wrong crown molding. We contacted multiple people about the lack of care and poor workmanship, without most staff responding. When a rep did come by to look at the issues, he did not take any pictures. We followed up with him after a week, and that's when he asked us to send him the pictures. We didn't hear from them in over a month after many attempts through calls and emails. We were already contacting a lawyer. Someone finally called to say new materials have arrived to fix and finish the job. It took another 2 weeks after that for another installer to come out. Our kitchen was finally finished near the end of September, almost 3 months. During most of this time , we could not use our stove to cook meals. We never got an apology or follow-up from Home Depot. Looking back, we wished that we used another vendor. For the price we paid, we probably could have gotten new cabinets instead of just refacing and new doors. In summary, Home Depot was unprofessional, unresponsive, uncaring, and provided poor workmanship. We will never use them nor recommend them. read more

Dropped in to buy some water softener salt and a few other items. Rolled my cart to the front of the store and saw several cashiers and a few self serve kiosks with a line about 30 feet away with 2 people waiting for the self serve and no line for the cashiers. Waited till the current customer finished and stepped forward, and the cashier said there was ONE LINE for self serve and all registers. Absolutely ZERO signs showing one line or where it starts. I got completely frustrated, left my cart there for them to restock and drove to the Ace Hardware by my house. Home Depot should figure out that of they want money, make check out clear and simple. read more

So today at about 1:00pm I was at Home Depot. Not a single human cashier was being offered. I am very comfortable in self-checkout so that isn't the issue. But in spite of essentially forcing everyone, including contractors with large or clunky items, to use the self-checkout terminals in two different sections of the store, the lines were way too long and the wait to use a terminal was unacceptable. So not only do they have zero humans willing to work a cashier terminal, but they don't even open enough self checkout terminals. This is completely unacceptable. The saving grace to today's trip was Lily, I came in and asked for help and the first guy was like this isn't my isle and pointed me towards another man. I walk up and ask him my question only to hear the same response. At this point I'm like wtf? I ask him does he have a radio to call the person working in the section. After a few huffs he said yes but never called anyone. 12 minutes later I'm directed to Lily who is a vendor inside the store and not an actual HD employee. Lily called someone and went to find someone to help us and Mae back to see if someone had helped us. After a few minutes of waiting she started trying to assist us. This one was pretty bad. Even if you factor in it being a busy Saturday it sucked. This was my third Home Depot in 2 hours. Questing as I was to find a particular stain that had a high rating (we are hostage to Consumer Reports rating which always seem to serve us well but I digress) I was determined not to go away empty handed. Much to my surprise they had them in stock, but the rest of the experience was just bad. First off the parking lot was a total disaster. No because of the mass of people mind you, but rather the the number of stalls that were blocked by carts, garbage, carts full of garbage etc. While the use of the parking lot as a dumping ground is not Home Depots fault per se, It is there lot and they do have a responsibility to keep carts in a reasonable order. It was hands down one fo the most disorganized and filthy parking lots I have encountered. That perhaps explains all of the booze bottles littering the place. You may need a shot or 10 to mitigate the experience. The chaos outside extended to the store itself. From isles blocked for no reason (yes I get that they do that for safety when using a forklift but there were none around) to the aforementioned not being used forklifts, being parked IN the isles and plugged in to charge. I counted 3 in this state and I only went through half the store. Self checkout is great if its done properly. The Home Depot has changed the system and it has potential but if you have one person overseeing 8 if anything goes wrong with more than one then you are screwed. Such was the case today. Terrible customer service on the evening of January 12th, 2024. I went in to order a premium dishwasher and the appliance sales lady was socializing with three people and claimed was helping them by a refrigerator. Stood there 25 minutes watching them chat and barely discussing the purchase of a fridge. Ordered a freezer since older freezer was not keeping the products frozen and they started to go bad. The freezer was supposed to be delivered tomorrow and got a confirmation email for the delivery. I received a phone call at 10:00 pm letting me know that the freezer is a display unit, banged up, damaged and that I would not like offered for the same price. According to the person calling from Home Depot telling me that no other store in the area has a freezer, which was total lie because I had seen the freezer in another nearby Home Depot store. The only choice they gave me was either purchase a banged up freezer that might not work or cancel the order. If I knew earlier in the day I could have bought the freezer somewhere else. To the gentleman whose name tag said William- I can't thank you enough!! My dog scratched up the corner of my front door so bad that the paint and layer of wood came out. My dad comes home tomorrow and I didn't want him to be upset so I was desperate for a quick fix. I was able to save some of the wood pieces and had initially planned to buy wood glue and stick them back on and paint over it. I called prior and the man on the phone said the paint would be about $35 alone for a qrt. I really didn't even need that much for this project. Luckily, I came across William when I arrived. I explained my situation and he told me exactly what do so that I could patch the damage properly and even it out so it can look good as new. I didn't even need wood glue (the handy ones reading this are probably laughing at me now)!! I only spent 15 bucks and left confident that I could get the job done. Worst customer service level possible. Ordered item online in plenty of time for Xmas gift, the system auto populated wrong City in address, and we were screwed. Called in multiple times to correct, and got left on hold for an hour+ both times, tried correcting on their online customer service link, nothing happens. As with most, their Customer service support is out of the US. Terrible system, terrible service. Never use their online order system!!!! It's just a frustrating joke.
