Today 5/20/26 at around 9:30AM I called to check if they had NYC trash bins on hand. A woman picked up and did not greet me or initiated the communication when she answered. I asked if the bins were available she said "No" I then asked if they were more bins coming in she again said "No" Then I asked to speak to a supervisor as she obviously was not willing to provide me with basic information about the product. She claimed she was a supervisor. I also asked for her name she answer "Jenny" and that was all I needed to know. I proceeded to end the call after that. This is horrible customer service. Here we have a person getting paid for doing a simple retail job of answering questions for customers and yet fails miserably at doing it. The funny thing is she probably believes she deserves to be employed there even though she's not doing her job at all. I never get this type of treatment when I call the HD in Manhattan. Jenny please find a job that you enjoy doing, but more importantly actually do it. read more

Please read before buying LG! We bought an LG washing machine, replacing our old LG (10 year warranty). After a short few months it started to destroy our clothes. It first accord after washing our sheets. They looks like some sharp object would be in the drum and pull strands out of the fabric. We checked the drum, stroked over every inch with our hands, used cotton balls to see if anything stuck - nothing! I called customer service (we ordered our washer directly from LG). They told us to run the drum clean cycle 5 times in a row (that's 7.5 hours!) that should solve the problem. We did and the next load of laundry had the same problem. We called LG again, send them pictures as requested, were told they investigate and call back. They never did. Today was the 6th time I called and also send an email to the president. After telling them that I will write this review and post it everywhere I was asked by the supervisor if I use the right cycle to wash my laundry. I am 69 years old and know how to do laundry. Finally I was told he would pass it on to their service center which will contact me to find out if it is a manufactory defect. This goes on now for over 6 weeks. The service center contacted us via text and asked what are the defective parts - how am I supposed to know? The next message was they reach out if they have someone available. I would stay away from LG which is hard to say because we have LG everywhere from fridge to TVs but if something is wrong it is the worse customer service you ever experience. read more

Avoid this Home Depot if you can because things on shelves have been pillaged, opened and ruined in the past. And if you accidentally buy something that was used and go to return it, there's a chance that customer service will blame it on YOU. Hilariously, a customer service rep tried to implement her new policy on the spot like having you return it to the Home Depot that you bought it from when it was THIS Home Depot that had reshelved used parts. That same customer service was also NOT knowledgeable at all in stating that white powder on faucet repair O-rings meant that they had previously been used by me when ALL the Delta faucet repair O-rings on the shelves have a white powder on them either from aging or from the factory. Looks like I will be going to Lowe's or other places more often because of that accusatory and wrong customer service return zealot. Lol. Based on communications overheard between employees here the turnover rate seems to be REALLY high. This place has like half the amount of people compared to the Home Depot at Forest Ave and clearly the poor souls who have stayed here are way overworked and angry-- I tried asking for help to locate an undisplayed product but was ignored by three different workers until someone told me where it was (and it was locked outside to secure it from thieves.) Great-- I then try to get someone to help unlock it but get the runaround from the older workers. Two young guys (checkout and CS section) try helping me out but nobody shows up for 40 minutes. Then another lady comes to the CS section to complain about nobody helping her for 40 minutes as well and I'm like, oh. I just left and felt stupid for waiting that long. Before this incident I had another issue with trying to return a wrench. I give them the wrench, they scan the receipt, then tell me that the wrench was not their product. And I'm like, the receipt is literally here and it matches the label on the wrench. The lady rebukes me and "proves" it's not their product by scanning the barcode on the wrench again and showing me that it's not in their system. She told me I probably brought it somewhere else to which I showed her the goddang receipt again. Like, can y'all read? She insists that Home Depot has never stocked my wrench and says she can't help me. I didn't give up though and pulled up the wrench on the Home Depot website. She was kinda baffled but told me that it might be there but that the Targee st location never had it and that she couldn't help me. Like holy crap man. I went to the tool section, saw the SAME EXACT WRENCH still being sold, and brought it to them triumphantly. Like, my receipt should have been enough but no, thanks for wasting half an hour by making me go through so many hurdles. Lo and behold the wrench that was in stock did not scan so yeah, a clerical issue. Whoever manages this place really failed. Your workers' performance and attitude are an extension of your abilities to hire and manage them. You guys have a high turnover rate, angry, unhelpful, difficult (and some just flat out stupid) workers. Literally have never had a single problem at any other Home Depots. To the bearded guy at checkout and then the young black guy at CS-- thank you. This stinking Home Depot does not deserve you both. Embrace your self-worth and go somewhere else where you will not be overworked and underpaid. read more

I've been coming to this location for several years and I have never been so disgusted and disappointed. This past weekend I had come in to buy some paint stripper for my backyard deck since the previous brand of paint stripper we used didn't complete the job. When I asked the only person at the paint station - the guy completely ignored me and walked away. When I approached the guy he gave me attitude and pointed in the general direction of the paint stripper, when I asked for more help with choosing the right paint stripper, he yelled at me. I went to the Customer service station and the lady told me to go ask for help from the same paint guy who yelled at me. We waited half an hour at the paint station for the guy's help - and he didn't even look at us. You would think a paint and hardware store would help their customers with paint products I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone for anything, you have a better chance with the Forest Ave location. read more

On April 10th during the Covid crisis I went to Home Depot to get a plunger. I parked my step fathers brand new car in a empty spot, in an empty section of the lot that belongs to Home Depot. I come back to the car after shopping at Home Depot and sit in it with the door closed, not even starting my engine yet. A shopping cart comes out of the far end of the parking lot being blown like 20 mph, boom right into the side of the drivers side door. I then try to call the police but it's during the height of NYC Covid epidemic and they aren't going to come for a low priority. I walk into Home Depot and get a report made my the very nice manager. I explained that I don't want to be a pain but the car is brand new and not mine. She says don't worry they have a claim department for this and she understands why I would make a report. She comes out to take pictures etc. I also pointed out that The incident is clearly on the camera that they have facing the lot if they care to check it. So long story short their insurance company offers me 400$ as a customer service curtesy, which I was happy about till I got an estimate. I called back to explain and offer pictures and estimates but they won't take responsibility or even look at the home depot camera, and say it could have hypothetically been damaged already. It's a Covid epidemic and they insinuate I came out to make a false report? For dents? But won't check the Home Depot camera? I was hoping to use dent-less paint removal but the bottom dent is too sharp. The paint is white pearl and will need to be blended, and thus both doors need to be painted and I was quoted 850$ or more from the 2 shops I went to. So the moral of the story is don't park nice things in a Home Depot parking lot or expect their insurance company or them to be moral. I've never seen a heavy shopping cart that could roll freely at high speeds, probably because stores know better through injury etc. 850$ out of my pocket to fix a car that was standing still on Home Depot Property and was damaged by more of their property. I will probably not take their 400$ just on principle. I am going to try and have my insurance company handle it for the piece of mind, it might cost me more but at least I will have piece of mind. I will show pictures below, keep in mind the car doesn't even have permanent plates yet because it was so new and just leased. read more

Waited on Electrical help for nearly 30 minutes. Got stories from management such as not knowing who's on shift, people being out of the building, and out of touch with their shift supervisors. Bad customer service. I was at the shelf aisle looking to build a shelf that fits in my closet. It needed to be 17 inches long. So I asked a girl worker if there were any that length... And she said yes and bought me over to it. I looked at what she gave me and I'm like this is 3feet... Not what I asked for... Lol and she looked at me all confused and was like that is 17inches.. And I'm like no this is 3feet.... But whatever lol AND THEN Waited over 20 mins for someone to come meet me at lumber and no one ever showed up... I would ask the other workers that pass by if anyone was coming to help me and they would say yes just keep waiting. I ended up leaving because I got tired of waiting... I was at the spray paint section waiting to ask them to unlock the gate they have on it. 3 people working on the station, 2 was busy talking to each other, one was on a personal phone call, yelling at their bf/ husband... Finally one of them decide to speak to me, I asked if there were any spray paint that is good for plastic chairs. One guy just flat out said "NO" to me. Tried to purchase a storm door and have it installed. Went to the store picked out the storm door. Was told someone would come to the house and measure for the door needed. Tried calling HOMEDEPOT about 14 times at the number and extension given. Each time the phone rang several times. Finally someone picked up then was transferred and disconnected each time. After weeks of trying had to go to the store. There was NO ONE in the door department had to find a Manama door ask for help. Order was erased in the system due to the pass of time had to start all over. THERE WAS NEVER A REASON OR AN APOLOGY GIVEN. NOT EVEN A SORRY. THIS ALL HAPPENED TO MY 96 year old mother. The store is run like a shit show. No accountability. AFTER ALL THIS SHE HAS TO WAIT 8 WEEKS GO GET HER STORM FOOR INSTALLED. Ordered a Electric Range oven , the driver didn't want to do any extra work to remove my old one so he took it back. Two weeks later it was rescheduled to be delivered and it came damaged and they took it back. I canceled that item and ordered a new one and got another appointment for delivery 2 weeks later. The day of the delivery I called to get an ETA and they told me my order was canceled and no one can give a reason. I came here a few times & might keep coming for some things when needed. The customer service is missed vibes. Some are really horrible & some are just above & beyond! Great help from the lumber department that guy was very helpful! Others pretend they don't wanna see you and help you! The light department guys are great too! Had a problem with a combination digital lock and the store associate took care of it quickly and with patience. Received fantastic customer service this afternoon on what just might be their bussiest day of the year (Black Friday). Three separate people assisted us in finding the sale items we were looking for. They located one item that was the last the store had and got a fork lift and operator to bring it down for us. absolutely the worst home center experience I have ever had, I received an email alert that something was on sale today. I called the store and they picked up asked to have someone check to make sure the item was there in the store. the person came back and said they had 13 in the store. I then went online to double check and sure enough the store inventory said they had 13 in stock. I went to the garden department and asked to see them and was told they did not have them because he had never seen the item. another person took me to the help desk (bad name for it) and they said I don't know it has an inactive number so we don't have it , it must be a mistake. I asked to have someone look for the item in question and all three people there looked in different directions and and one started to call the other staten island store? when i asked why she said "to see if they have it" then I said they had it in this store and I did not want to go to the other store ,again I said can someone go look for it and again more looking into space. I walked away from the confused looks and went to look for it myself and after 10 minutes found the item on top of a shelf in the department that said they didn't have it. There is no training that can help this kind of useless incompetence. If I could I would give them no stars but it doesn't let you do that read more
