I stopped here a few times this week during the day and it was insanely busy. Lots of commercial trucks and workers and the lines were long. The first time I thought it was a fluke but the second time I was surprised again. The store worked for what I needed and I was able to return what I didn't end up using for my project. That being said, I think the lines to return were even longer than the check out lines, if that's possible and I do not recommend coming here if you need something quick. I definitely try to patronize smaller hardware stores as much as possible. Also, this is not a reflection on the store as they have more than enough parking but the patrons in there trucks, big and small, were careless and created lots of unnecessary traffic issues in the parking lot so just be aware of that. I will say that they had lots of nice garden items at fair prices and I had to avoid the flower area to stick to my budget. read more

Went right to showing what to get for deterring pesky mosquitoes. And had another customer in tow, helping her at the same time. 5 s for Ivan. I was desperately heading to Home Depot on Hammer Lane in Stockton on Memorial Day (Yikes), needing a sander for the painters. The store was packed, and I mean OMG I need a miracle to get what I need PACKED! Small tear. Rumor has it you can't even get help when it's slow, but you know what? This younger kid, Tony-- Tony D25 (employee #) comes off of break to help me! What?!!!! And he know a lot about sanders and models and the sales... What? And, he waits for me to order my sander online so I can get the battery that comes with it free if you order online, AND he walks me to purchasing where Lauryn D25 (again employee #) pulls my online order for me! What?!!!? All of this personal service in under 30 minutes vs. hours. And best of all Diego the assistant store manager does not make me get back in line to pay for my caulking, which could not be included in my online order ring up. He rings me up separately and sets me free. The other cashier had told me, too bad" and to get into the hour long line for two tubes of caulking. God Bless you too Diego, the boss! I came in to get a key copied and I asked 3 people including a manager in training . The time it took for someone to help was ridiculous. It must have been 30 freaking minutes . If possible I like to support the local Ace Hardware stores. The one on Country Club is excellent with great service and a wide range of products for such a small store. Now on to the Empire known as Home Depot. My best memory of Home Depot has nothing to do with the actual store but more like NASCAR circa 1999. The driver was Tony Stewart in the #20 Home Depot Joe Gibbs Racing Pontiac Grand Prix... Shake and Bake! A little Talladega Nights goes a long way these days! I went to the Save Mart 300 once at Sears Point/Infineon Raceway and it was a blast! Anyway, back to the present. Here is a summary of my experience looking for someone to open the locked tools so I can buy a Dremel. Employee#1: That's not my department... Look for the blond lady in the power tools section. Employee #2: Uh, Find the girl that has the key for those products and she can open it for you to get the Dremel. Employee#3: I can get it for you but I have to walk it with you to the register (because I look like a thief?) Employee #4: Sir, the line for self checkout starts back there! (I only went to this dude because Employee #3 handed me off to #4.) Employee #4 once more (and me finally at the register): Sir, this item (a 2 dollar sprinkler part) doesn't have a bar code. Can you use your phone to go back and take a picture of the item then come back up? Since I believe I am a man of infinite patience (and retired) I do my diligence, walk all the way to the back of the store, and grab the same item and make sure this one has a bar code. A short story long, only go here if absolutely necessary. Furthermore, and I may get push back for this, but Lowe's has far better service and prices are pretty much equal. Just left the store. I purchased three 12 in retaining wall blocks in the garden center this morning. I asked the cashier if she charged me for 12 inch blocks because I was incorrectly charged on 2 other occasions and had to go to customer service to get it fixed which is an inconvenience. She told me they "look" like 18 inches. That is a very big difference. She had some guy come by to measure and he confirmed they were 12 inch. No apologies, horrible customer service. read more

Friendly guy asked me what I was looking for; I'm an elderly woman. He commiserated with my misery buying two major brand - but dud - hammer drills on Amazon, and five minutes later, I walked out with the exact hammer drill I was looking for. All of this on a Sunday - one of their busiest days. I remember going there years ago and you couldn't get help if you laid down on the floor and had a tantrum, but that seems to have changed. All in all, it was a brief but positive experience that nearly wiped away all the tool trauma I'd been going through. read more

Did you know you can rent a truck at Home Depot? I didn't know. I was a few seconds too late for renting their $19.95 truck beds for the day, but I was very impressed with their customer service staff. They were very helpful and pleasant, especially at 0700 in the morning. I needed a truck to buy baseboards after I had new vinyl floors installed. The baseboards were too long for our SUV to haul. Fortunately, I was able to order and pay for it in advanced, and I had my brother in-law picked them up. I had a great experience here and the staff all seem very helpful. I would shop here again. This Home Depot always follows my husband around like he's going to steal. Mind you he's Tongan has tatts but still he's in there a lot to buy things. We spent a lot of money to build a fence and always always still keep going here. I'm thinking about telling corporate if it continues. the good is their prices, but I have recently had not one but two bad experiences with their customer service. I had tried to return an outdoor flood light and couldn't find my receipt but had purchased with a credit card, however their system could not identify the purchase so they would not issue a store credit and the supervisor even seemed to infer that perhaps it had been stolen! REALLY? The second bad experience was just a few days ago when I spent over $300 for a garage fridge and the appliance salesperson was a woman with attitude to say the least and even scolded me as I tried to load a small unit on my cart. She reprimanded me for setting it sideways ... of course I know that delays usage, but I would have to load it in my car sideways anyway to get it home! ... Waiting in a long line at the lumber counter check-out. Now, I'm next. The cashier ask me if I saw that long line behind me. I looked and responded, "Yes, what about it?" She tole me I needed to go to the back of the line like everyone else. Myself and other customers told her she was incorrect. I paid for my item and immediately talked to her manager. The cashier never apologized for her rudeness. I will be polite and describe her as the slightly overweight one with the red apron. It's employees like her that causes businesses to fail. life savers! went shopping here and had no issues at all. while leaving the store I transferred from my mobility scooter into our truck and closed the door. i had a medical infusion yesterday and can't walk due to menengitis recovery, so today im extra weak and tired. trying to leave in a hurry we left my scooter behind. we rushed backed to the store and they had my scooter inside safe and sound. most people don't realize that scooters are used by people who can't walk as well and thinking i lost my transportation was terrifying! thank you to everyone who helped! read more

Don't order appliances from here. They pay their delivery teams very little for their work. Home Depot charges a customer $40 to haul away an old appliance and only pays the worker $2 per person. They don't charge the customer for fridge install which is nice but in return they don't pay the worker to install. They only give the delivery pay for fridges which is the same for each delivery no matter what they deliver which equates to a little less than $8 per person. For a microwave install the delivery team will get about $8 for delivery and $8 for install when the customer is charged nearly $130 for a microwave install + $40 to haul away old unit. Dishwashers pay the team member less than $15 each for install, $8 for delivery and charge the customer $178 + $40 to haul away old unit. read more

There were zero at the store contacted electrical rep and she stated that she knew that during the morning hours because of a report for some reason she did not update the online system I wasted a half hour of time drivingto this location and another half hour time. What a horrible experience, I needed to get a fluorescent lightbulb, a 22 inch long 13 W bulb there was a young man and woman standing around talking. I asked for help they looked at me like I was stupid. One told me it was on one aisle, the other one told me it was on another aisle and I asked him for assistance. They ignored me and went back to talking. If this is the kind of people Home Depot hires. This is why you'll be going out of business. None of these people know how to do a job let alone had the courtesy to show you where something was I asked politely and was treated horribly. I found another young person, and she had a smart mouth on her too, and had the nerve to tell me if I was an electrician I'd know where to see but I work in gardening well if you're in gardening, why are you wandering around the whole store and I told her so as well, if my husband was here he could show you what to do, but he has a job doing that elsewhere now I presume to tell her what did you apply here if you know nothing about anything in the store. All these young people wanna do is just walk around and talk and try to get dates with one another. I was very upset with this Home Depot on Home Depot first opened, and you walked in there was always someone there to help you and that knew about the apartment you were asking about. So far I have only come to Home Depot for minor home projects so I have usually been able to find what I need-painting supplies, yard supplies, small tools. Plus, they have a good selection of most of these items. And because they are located right off the freeway mid-town, this is a convenient stop for me. There was quite a few negative reviews about customer service but I haven't experienced any issues at all and if I'm just running in to pick up something quick, I use the self check-out. Working here at this location sucked overall. Randy is the coolest guy there in management. There is sexism and unequal distribution of work between men and women in certain departments. As a guy I felt that I was working twice as hard as the females for equal or less pay. Coworkers would barely say hello unless you were in their little break room click. The store manager ran the place like it was the marine corps and ran the store off of fear. There are "Junior wannabe managers" that think they are actual managers walking around with their chest puffed out like they are Home Depot's finest. Favoritism is overt and obvious. read more

I am having a bathroom remodeled so initially I've gone to this location to get many supplies that are needed for the remodeling project I've probably already spent over 2k so far. However over a month ago When I needed to order a small slider window (which they should have in stock) Not a custom size window I was told it would take 3-4 weeks to arrive. I was willing to wait a month since there was other work that could be done while waiting for it to arrive. Well the 4weeks came and went first I call in and they say it's scheduled to arrive one week past when they said it would be arriving But that this was just an "estimated" time of arrival. Meanwhile the project is stalled waiting on this window, my contractor has already scheduled with me to get the project completed And waiting on this window is costing me hundreds of dollars. I called again and the manager tells me it should arrive in another 10 days. Home depot will not allow you to cancel the order after 3 days of placing the order. I understand giving their vendors time to ship the order but making customers and projects wait longer than 6weeks is just unacceptable. I feel if Home depot Vendors can not deliver product to their customers in a timely manner. Home depot needs to find better local vendors who can get orders delivered sooner, Or offer something to the customer for extended waiting. I will never special order anything from Home depot Again because of this. Great store if they have what you need but definitely NOT ok if you need them to order something for you, and especially if your project has a completion time frame. Do NOT special order anything from Home deopt Unless you have unlimited time to wait for your order. Next time I'll just find a small local shop to order through Chances are they'll be more appreciative for the business and have what I need delivered in a more timely fashion. read more

Ordered and paid cash for a Whirlpool washer and dryer and pedestals. When delivery came they wouldn't install the pedestals because they said the installation fee had not been given on the order. I went to the store and the manager of the day sai they would take care of it. Today a private installation company they ordered would not install the pedestal because they said it would ruin the machine being turned on it's back. So I went to the store again and sat there for an hour while the manufacturer was contacted and Home Depot .com was contacted. The result was that a "Casey" would contact me before tomorrow end of day to arrange a "special team" to come install the pedestals. All this after I asked them to come get the washer and exchange it for another so they could install the pedestal before removing packing from the machine! By the way, this was the last day I could request a return! Sounds to me like a major failure of Whirlpool/Maytag and a non commitment by Home Depot!!!! What a crock of BS!!! Customer pays over $2000 for a product and gets the shaft by the manufacturer and the dealer! The only honesty was the installer Temco who said he didn't want to ruin the machine by installing the pedestal. The biggest error was the HD salesman who didn't do an installation order for the pedestals.!!! The bottom line is that I have not received good customer service and I am by no means finished with dealing with this issue! I tried to order 40 refrigerators. Personnel simply do not care if you are a customer. Put the order in at Lowe's and received exceptional service AND a lower price.
