I enjoy going to this Home Depot. The store is well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. I usually don't have trouble finding an associate to help out. I found a great deal on Sprayeay, which I use often for my gladd and mirrors. I gave a couple to my neighbors since it will take me a while to use even one can. Anyhow, the gardening section had a great variety of.plants and flowers. They are wrll maintained. The guys in the pain department were friendly and gave me some good advice for some touches I need to do. It is worth it to me to go to this store because of the nice atmosphere. I like the selection of products. I also find the pricing to be pretty fair for the most part. read more

Worst service I have ever had. Ordered a dishwasher on July 14, paid for purchase, installation and haul away. Order was accepted by Lowes with delivery and installation for July 21. Next day got email that delayed until July 29. A few days later got another email delaying until Aug 6. Next day email said delay until Aug 13. Called installation services and Bryan guaranteed installation by Aug 7. Same day got another email that delayed again until Aug 13. I probably will never use Lowes again!!!!! read more

GREEN THUMB ? Well, I am not close to a self-proclaimed arborist but my wife loves small plants which I try to give them water and sunshine but they seem to be fickle to keep alive. This Home Depot Garden Center has a decent open floor plan with the smaller plants up front, larger in the rear. Several variety of plants which include, Perennials, Annuals, Bushes, Cherry, Dipladenia, Tropical, Roses and Vine. The small Tropical potted plants are on sale for $8.98. Also plenty of cement gardening materials against each side wall on huge steel racks. Always a garden staff member wandering around the area. Basically, the common question I have to them, "How long do certain small plants live?" In addition to plants, they offer other gardening necessities: wheel barrels, garbage bins, pottery bowls, cement, sprinkler covers, plant food, bbq grills and stones. 5/18/26 Over the years I've experienced the customer service at this HD decline. I purchased kitchens cabinets, appliances, basically remodeled our house. Today just went to buy a simple number for the mailbox in Hardware Dept.. They didn't have a number 5. Took three guys to stand there a tell me nothing could be done. (Amazon) Went to Lowe's on SR84 great store, helpful and well stocked. They'll be my first stop from here on out. read more

This is the closest home improvement store near me and every time I go, it takes me twice as long as it should because I can't find what I need and the people there are less than helpful. Came here looking for a piece to repair a toilet and the app said it was on a certain aisle, however when I got to that aisle, it was not. So I asked an employee for help, who in turn didn't speak a word to me, just walked towards where the item was, pointed and left. That was off-putting to say the least. The prices are average, nothing special here. It is fairly well stocked though and is fairly clean. read more

On Saturday January 3rd, I went to Home Depot in Sunrise to buy a Schlage Door Lock. A man hardware in hardware by the name of Lesley waited on me, He opened the conversation with "yes sir how can I help you?" I politely asked him "do I look like a sir?" Abruptly he rolled his eyes and with a distinctly harsher tone he barked "Ma'aM". I told him what I wanted he went over the cages where they keep the locks after he proceed to show me the padlocks. I proceeded to tell him he was wrong. He then went to the cage, opened it and stood there and looked at me. He offered no help at all. In my past life, I was a home improvement contractor pulling 6 figures yearly, plus a per diem building inspector job in Massachusetts. I got what I needed. I asked him his name, and went straight to customer service. I talked to Jen the Assistant Mgr. She gave 20% off the lock after telling me about someone in her family. She then proceeded to tell me how Lesley is old. I did not buy that at all. That argument does not warrant a get out of jail free card. That was the end of my Saturday after I walked out. On Monday morning, I called Home Depot Headquarters in Atlanta. I spoke with a lady named Cristin. She seemed very sympathetic and nice. She assured me she was escalating this to upper management right away, and would get back to me by the end of the day. I called off a Channel 4 News visit because I was assured of a return phone call. I never heard from Headquarters. This is just the beginning. I know first hand the Sunrise store is falling way behind in revenues. Everybody in there is getting worried. They can now deal with my attorney. "Let's Do This Together". P.S. 11-15-23 5:30 pm Need a key for my friend who is watching my cats while I am away. Walk in the store and two associates in a gab fest sorry to interrupt do you know where I can make a key. So she attempts to walk me over but gets stopped by another associate that wants to chat. At that point I give up and go to the self make key kiosk myself. There is different prices but I get the least expensive if I am going to pay more someone needs to sell me on the up-charge. After I am finished I go to the self checkout. Hey more associates than customers but we don't want to interrupt their socializing. Management at this location must be absent. Home Depot a necessary evil. Three stars because this treatment is about average at any of their South Florida locations. read more

Employees are friendly here but beware of the 'sign up for a free washer/dryer' scam. I was approached by an employee in the washer and dryer section and he said I could sign up to win a free set or a gift card of $1600. I thought why not, and signed up. A few days later an employee called me and said they haven't picked the winner yet BUT we could also win a $40 gift card if they came to our house to test our water. It would only take 30 seconds. I thought sure, why not. I get to test my water for free and win a gift card. The next day another employee called me to schedule my water testing appointment and said it would only take 30 minutes. I said sure, 30 minutes still isn't a big deal and maybe the first employee meant 30 minutes and not 30 seconds. The day of my appointment comes and it's not Home Depot. It's a salesman from a water filter company who made us sit down for AN HOUR AND A HALF to listen to his sales pitch. I don't think Home Depot ever had a contest to win a washer and a dryer for free. They are just collecting customers info and selling it to other companies. I don't like liars and I don't like having my time wasted. Shame on you. read more

If I could give this store a 0 star I would. I made a reservation a week in advance for a moving truck. I received a confirmation and was set to move. I received an email a few hours before pickup saying that my reservation was cancelled. I did not receive a call, just an email. When I called panicking, they said "sorry we don't have trucks". I asked what their solution was and they said "call other stores". It was the worst customer service I've ever encountered. To cancel my reservation and then have no solution very last minute is unacceptable. They did not have the decency to call either, just one email saying "sorry, your reservation is cancelled". It is obviously an issue they have had before so I would assume a corporation would have some guidelines if this happens. They do not care about their consumers. read more

I recently had a kitchen emergency! After running out of my regular cleaner, I had the bright idea to use my Lysol toilet bowl cleaner on my kitchen sinks!! DO NOT EVER use this on anything else!!! I almost permanently ruined my sinks with the chemical ingredients in it. I ran to my local Home Depot, sought out assistance and one of their associates recommended Bar Keepers Friend. It's a bit abrasive--more than Ajax or Comet and it helped a lot, but because I didn't have sufficient elbow grease left in me, I will have to use it a couple more times before I can see the sink restored; which is what he warned me about saying that it wasn't a miracle product and that I would have to scrub it really hard and maybe even more than on one or two occasions. Needless to say, I was grateful for the help and relieved that we have such knowledgeable associates in our local Home Depot stores. read more

Been here several times. It's a large stand alone building with ample parking. The store is bright, well stocked & organized. Most staff members are friendly and helpful. My last purchase has been my largest since I started shopping here. It was a washing machine. After doing my due diligence, I found this store to have the machine I wanted at the best price. The staff member assisting us through the process was friendly, informative and helpful. The check out process went smoothly. Unfortunately the delivery of the washing machine did not go smoothly. The first attempt at delivery the machine came with a dent. I had to call to reschedule another delivery which was two-three days later. I now had to schedule time to be home for a second delivery. Second delivery arrives. All seems to be good. Turns out the delivery person connected the hot & cold water hoses incorrectly. Although the delivery drivers and rep. (to schedule delivery of indented machine) were polite the delivery process was frustrating and inconvenient. Something to keep in mind for future reference. read more

6/11/2024 - I recommend this business because it's a "go to necessity" hardware store. However, I was just at the Sawgrass Home Depot and the fact that 3 workers were standing around chatting while I scanned and bagged my items is just plain stupid and absurd. As a customer to see that is beyond ridiculous, mind you I was in store for about an hour and not one team member asked me if I needed anything or any help. I was in the paint department for a good 15 minutes and there was 2 workers sitting down chatting, seen me walk in their department but never once asked if I needed assistance, which I did. This store and many other HD's lack that customer experience they were once known for. Management if you read these reviews, you should look into and this and address. read more

I came to this He Depot looking for some cute knobs for an armoire I am restoring. It is located on the outside of the Sawgrass Mall. We came on a Sunday afternoon and the store was surprisingly slow. There was plenty of parking. Although there must have been about a thousand crows outside flying around en mass. Most cars had poop on their roofs and tops. We were in the store about fifteen minutes and were also victims of this. The store looks remarkably neat. I was actually quite impressed. It may be because the holiday season is slow for home improvement, I am not sure, but I liked this store. read more

Not one of the better Home Depot stores I have been in! We came in here looking for some kind of sealant for a small tear in a leather blend couch that we have. I just want to seal it up so we can get a few more years out of this relatively inexpensive piece of furniture. We saw numerous employees, but nobody ever approached us. When we did find someone we were basically brushed off and sent to an aisle that didn't have what we wanted. Nobody walked us over and showed us what product to use. We were pointed to different sections by 2 different employees while we were on this goose chase. We did eventually find one friendly employee, but he wasn't really helpful either and he was trying to sell us some kind of home air conditioning system. In New York, the Home Depot stores are much better than this and employees seem to be better trained. read more

Clearly it doesn't matter which store you go to Home Depot customer service is a fail. Expected a deliver last week never happened. This week screwed up again and sincerely they do nothing. They don't care how many days your take off, how many times they deliver the wrong item. Store managers wont even answer an email or a call. Sadly they are a big box monopoly but their day will come. I recently used the option to order online and pick up from a locker inside for contactless shopping. This time I used the shop online for curbside pickup. I used this option because there was no additional charge, my items were not available for delivery, and I was buying concrete blocks and soil which were pretty heavy so why not have a Home Depot employee bring it to my car and load it for me. It worked well except I wasn't notified until I arrived that some of my order was not available. I also noticed that the brands online were not the same brands as what I purchased eventhough they were the same price. Either way, it was a good experience and I would shop this way again. As a note, they send an email when the order is ready for pickup and upon arrival, there are designated parking spaces to wait in until the vehicle is loaded. The ladies who loaded my items were professional, polite, and efficient. They encouraged me to do their store survey so that the curbside pick up could be continued. Done! read more

How do you make a customer go get another piece of lumber because they failed to tag it with a bar code, then wait a few minutes and then call a lumber employee to assist. Why not call the lumber employee in the first place. According to Simone, it was tasking long for me to get back, yeah, cause do you know how big and far the "lumber" is? Ridiculous and rude! It is hit or miss with customer service. There are a few great employees, but the majority are only trained in their area and arent willing to venture beyond that part of the store. The worst is when u ask for assistance, they call for someone, and no one shows up. That being said, there are some AWESOME employees who really want to help. I do go here alot. As a professional landlord / property manager, I spend approximately $50,000 a year at Home Depot, and I've visited quite a few in the tri-county area. Hands down, this Home Depot is the absolute worst I have ever had the misfortune of patronizing. I had time to kill before an appointment in the area, so Larry S. sent me a list of items to pick up. He does this frequently, and will also utilize the feature on the Home Depot website that notes the aisle and bin # of each product. I quickly became frustrated as NOTHING was located anywhere remotely near where the website indicated it would be. Worse, I couldn't even find any employees to assist me. When I finally flagged someone down, he was busy conversing with another customer. While I appreciate that he obviously knew this customer and they were chatting about personal stuff, I was standing there patiently waiting for assistance while they were talking about their weekend plans. When the employee finally wrapped up the conversation and acknowledged me, he was less than helpful. I showed him what I wanted and asked where aisle "E1" was located. He pointed towards one end of the store and said, "that's an end cap". The item that I wanted was lumber and the website stated that they had hundreds of sticks of 4x4x8 lumber. This item was definitely NOT on an endcap! I walked around some more and found another gaggle of employees near the front of the store. One of them was willing to assist me - she was the ONLY person in the store that had any remote knowledge of where things were (and even she couldn't find some items) and any interest in assisting. When she asked a different employee for help in finding something, she got the same treatment as I did - a vague point towards another area of the store. Since I've had fantastic experiences at other Home Depots, I am putting this experience down to terrible management. Whoever is managing this store is doing a really bad job of inspiring his or her employees to bring their A game to work. Retail is going down the tubes; nearly every item in Home Depot is available for less money and with greater variety on Amazon. Brick & mortar establishments have to make the in-person shopping experience pleasant and easy in order to stay alive. This Home Depot is failing miserably. read more

The HD at Sawgrass is fantastic! The Sunrise location is 2 mi closer to me & the one I normally go to. Employees there seem to run away when I want to ask for help. Sawgrass location employees all smile, stop to answer questions, & are very, pleasantly, genuinely, helpful. I shall happily drive the extra 2 mi from now on to make this, HD Sawgrass my go to store from now on. Customer service is important to me, a novice; & this store has it in spades. Wonderful experience! I am doing a small tile repair. Basically 2 tiles and Chris Cruz went totally above and beyond to provide assistance. I was about to check out and I asked the young lady if anyone had tile experience or extra knowledge since clearly this is all new to me.... She called Chris over. He helped me to choose exactly what I needed to enable a smooth and easy experience. At the register when I was about to check out he took a second trip to the back of the store to grab another item for me. The cashier was friendly. I really appreciate their team work! The store was clean, well organized and offered many options for customers wanting to improve their home and garden. So after checking out he even offered to put the tile in my car AND the customer behind me to help put her grill in her car...... So sweet! Fantastic store! Way to go HOME DEPOT!! Home Depot - you hired a young girl who obviously doesn't care about her week-old job. And it makes me wonder why you hired a warm body with no interest in customer service. Here's why I say this: Working in the area alone, she ignored another customer for 15 minutes. I guess you could say she was multitasking, if you consider letting a kid her age hang with her at the computer and flirt with her as she worked. The employee told me she used a different paint base than the one two formulas called for. So instead of putting the formulas on the labels she just printed ones that said 'color match'. She told me to be braced if I came back to buy more and another employee says there's no such paint. She shook the sample size paint cans by hand, as if it was salad dressing. When I asked her to use the mixing machine she said they don't do that on samples. I told her that they do at the Sunrise Home Depot on University Drive. She asked a co-worker who just came into the area to verify they don't do it. Instead he told me he'd use the mixer. After putting dabs of paint on the lids (directly on top of the hand mixed dabs) she pushed 4 jars towards me. I said that she needed to use the hair blower to dry the paint on the lids. She told me that she didn't do that because customers don't mind wet paint on the lids. I told her I wanted the paint dried and she told the other employee. He picked up the hair blower and put it down next to her hand. She seemed put out by having to flip the button and hold the hair blower up for 30 seconds. Then she left the area to go get a can of spray paint for the kid who'd been distracting her the whole time. She didn't even tell me she was leaving in the middle of helping me. She just went to hang out more with her friend. What dedication! I asked the other employee where the rest of my samples were and he said they were still in the mixing machine. He got them out, put the paint on the lids and dried the paint. Especially considering the newbie told her friend she only had 45 minutes left on her shift, and he said he'd wait for her, why couldn't she just do her job until her shift ended? Because she's an uncaring, irresponsible kid. That's why. Home Depot, do you not have any discretion about who represents you? I have a large house to paint - inside and out - don't you want me to want you? We may select a Behr brand paint but we won't make the purchase at this store. I must say I've very disappointed in the service or lack there of that this home depot has provided. With two Home Depot locations both within 2 miles from me I've always gone to this location. We needed a new refrigerator and headed to the Sawgrass location as usual. We had researched on there app prior and decided on one already but wanted to see it in person. After browsing for a short time we could not find any associate in appliances to answer a few questions. Luckily a guy I think who worked in flooring was able to write up an invoice. We told him the size area we had which was 36 inches and the new fridge would be 35 1/2. Delivery was set for Jan 4th. Upon delivery we were advised by the delivery person that the fridge would not fit and work properly. He suggested we not accept delivery and the fridge never left the truck. This is when the problems started. My wife returned to the store the same day to see what we could do. We returned to the appliance center and again no associate could be found, so she went to customer service. She was told the delivery still showed "in progress" and would need to return the next day to follow up. So we waited until Saturday January 7th to go there and again there is nobody in the appliance center and we go to c/s. They then find an appliance associate and who tells us the return still has not been processed. As we pull into our driveway I receive a call from the delivery company saying that they received the fridge back. The lady on the phone tells me I can go to Home Depot and receive my credit. Tuesday January 10th my wife goes back to Home Depot for our refund. Actually we aren't even looking for a refund. We just want to do an exchange. We need a new fridge. Home Depot tells us that the return still hasn't been processed. I call the 1-800 number. The lady on the phone who has been the most help contacts the delivery company. She said the delivery company will be returning my fridge to whatever warehouse it is and I now will expect my refund in 5-7 days. 3 weeks to get my refund/credit for an appliance that never entered my house and again I'm looking to just switch to a smaller fridge. I purchased a space heater at the Deerfield FL location on Monday. The unit was defective so I returned it today at the Sawgrass location. Was advised by the cashier and asst store manager Taylor that my drivers license was flagged and with the amount being 69 dollars that was too much. So I have no receipt and can't get a new unit or store credit. I have tried with the regionsl.mangrrs in the past and now I need to speak with corporate. I bought a refrigerator ..didn't pay for removal since I'm going to keep the refrigerator. I asked delivery to move old frig outside the kitchen island ..about 30" I was told no .., but he pulled the old frig out approx 60" ..I saud 2 times I don't think the old frig will come out once the new frig is in its longer ..he kept assuring me I couid get it out ..make a long story short now my old frog is stuck in my kitchen and I can't get it out !!' Horrible experience, this place has every employee standing in front of the aisles conversing and not helping anyone. I stood in the lumber section for over 30minutes time wasted and no one helped me. Someone eventually came to me and asked "Do you need help" Well clearly I've been standing here looking at everyone, I asked on person for help when I walked in they said they have to walk to the other side and they never came back with anyone. I told the guy that came to me I need help in lumber and he said "what do you need in lumber" Mean while he's on the phone not walking to me. He's asking me all these questions for me to repeat it back to someone. This was not the experience I wanted, especially if I'm going to bring business to the location for flipping property in the area. If I have to go to Lowe's for my items for the homes I flip well that's what I'll have to do and tell my colleagues as well. Horrible experience. Customer service not so welcoming here. read more

Came here today with my mother in law to help her buy a new washer. They were having a sale on appliances for the week(up to 20%) off. We went in and we're not helped immediately and when asked to be helped after another customer we kind of got brushed off. No matter. We browsed, found the right washer(they do have a great variety of appliances to choose from) and proceeded to be helped by a nice gentleman that happened to be walking by although I'm not sure if that was his department or not. He set up us and had issues with figuring out how to apply a military discount to the purchase. So much so it didn't even really feel like they did it right after the total was calculated. At this point, an older lady came over and took over the transaction. This is when it seemed to go south. When my mother in law questioned the price, she decided to see if maybe she could get it at another location for a better deal. We asked the lady to give us a few minutes before we proceeded with the purchase. She gave us the worst attitude and decided to walk away and leave us there. We ended up finding that Home Depot prices were pretty much the same as other stores in the area and we decided to purchase here. After searching for a good 10 minutes for that same lady that left us rudely the first time, we decided that she did not want to help us at all and was probably trying to avoid us given her attitude earlier. Thankfully the nice gentleman that tried to help us the first time before the rude lady took over, came and saw us standing there waiting for help and ended up completing our transaction. I would give this store four stars but with the attitude received from this lady, it really brought down the store. This is my go-to Home Depot and while I am certainly not the handiest of fellas, I have picked up various things here that I've needed for the home. The store itself is what it is. Home Depot is pretty consistent from store to store with usually the same layout/selection/prices. Where this one shines is with the customer service. I've had to deal with them a few times now and they've been top notch. First I bought a portable AC when my home AC broke. Unfortunately the portable AC was busted....so I had to return it. Super quick...I had my money back in a few minutes. Most recently I had to exchange some lightbulbs and I accidentally got store credit not realizing the new bulbs would be a lot cheaper. The customer service team figured out a solution and got me the cash back. When it comes to chains/big box stores it's ALWAYS customer service that separates location A from location B - and as far as I'm concerned the customer service here has always been exceptional. read more
