We've been to the Home Depot in Topsham, Maine almost 100 times over the past two months while working on our new storefront, and every single visit has been a great experience. We are always greeted with kindness, and the staff is consistently helpful, knowledgeable, and willing to go the extra mile to point us in the right direction. A special thank you to Peter, who helped us with several doors -- including our front door -- which we really, really appreciated. His guidance made a big difference for us during this project. I called about renting a lift, one that you haul behind a truck and is battery powered. The person at topsham Home Depot at 10:30 am said they had two ready, and I indicated that the one was needed today. I drove in to pick it up and they were not available. An employee (perhaps the same one that lied earlier) said they could not be rented even though they were both there, they had not been inspected and the computer system said not ready to rent. They refused to inspect and check in the lift. So I ended up driving away. So Home Depot lied and told a customer they were available to be picked up today , then when driving in they said they were not available because they had not been inspected. What a pathetic joke of staff. When calling the store to complain to the store manager that he has serious disrespectful staff (I don't appreciate being lied to the wasting my time for their lie) I was attempted to be redirected to the rentals depts. I love coming to my husband's home away from home!! In all seriousness, you can find more than just home building items. They have a great nursery and garden area and I love their bulk sized home cleaning items. In the summer, great pool items and pool cleaning things. They have great items for holidays - the best time to go!!! And of course appliances and light fixtures. You just never really know what you might find. The staff are always very helpful and prices and quality are about you expect. read more

This Home Depot is right off 295 and route 196 in Topsham. The folks are friendly and always willing to lend a hand or answer a question. Quite a bit of other shopping in the area as well, so get your home and garden things at Home Depot and finish the rest of your shopping as well. read more

Unfortunately my car got hit with one of their shppping carts. The manager who originally helped me was very nice and said I would get a call from an insurance company monday or tuesday at the latest. He told me that he was leaving for vacation and the person filling in for him would be able to help me. I waited for a call and still nothing, I called home depot Wednesday to see what the holdup was and the lady who was working told me she was going to resubmit my paperwork and that I should be getting a call within the next day and if I don't to call back so I called today it's now Friday and she was very rude to me telling me that she wasn't the one who took the claim so she can't be much help to me which I find that really hard to believe because all she had to do was make a call. then she proceeded to tell me that the insurance company has been trying to call me which they haven't. I haven't had one single call. Overall poor management and customer service skills. Extremely disappointing read more

I went to exchange a propane tank, the outside kiosk was out of order forcing me to go inside where I was met with extreme hostility, I tried to explain that their kiosk was down and I was forced to go inside. I was told that is my problem and to put on a mask or be removed, the greeter told me to freeze and not move..I took one more step to the register where the cashier was very helpful and got me out quickly. when the associate came out to open the propane cage I was threatened by them saying that I need watch out or bad things happen to non maskers. I was then told if I come back I will be trespassed. this is insanity and your employees are terrorists harassing customers because your equipment is not working and forcing people inside the store for no other reason then to be harassed. cannot recommend this home depot. read more

It's Home Depot. It's the same essentially at any Home Depot in the US. Customer service is hit or miss depending on who's working and how experienced they are. Better to know what you're looking for and research in advance for time efficiency. Always convenient to have Home Depot and Lowe's just a short drive away for home projects and repairs. After debating about replacing my roof, I went for it and used the Home Depot. Their process seemed pretty good, from the first look-see through the post-installation cleanup. But- then there was a rainy day. I spied a little water on the first floor when I got in from work, upstairs there was a bit more and still coming in. They responded quick enough, a crew was back up on the roof and the water stopped, they came and went. I called the 800-line asking what about the ceiling spots and other minor damage, so the job manager came out and took some pictures, saying it would likely require painting and I'd hear back shortly. Right. More than 90 days went by with no follow-up of any kind so I called 800 line again. A manager named Chad Culleton called back and told me "Oh, that manager (Tim) is no longer with the company". But wait, Chad went on to tell me: the water in my house was "not really within the scope of their responsibility". Oh. Shocked? You bet I am! read more

In addition to the sale price, she found $100 rebate for us, and tossed in free delivery to better another retailer's prices by $1000! Wow. read more

Today we went into Home Depot with a complicated order our son made out for us. When I printed the order, it duplicated some items. Amanda helped us at the service desk, and she was a gem! it took over an hour to straighten out the order, but Amanda was patient throughout. She sent us on our way to finish the rest of our shopping while she worked on the order making sure that it would all arrive at the right time. When we returned, she provided me with a chair and finished the order, rechecking everything twice. We can't say enough how accommodating Amanda was. The store was buzzing with activity! read more

Not only are the associates friendly and helpful (instead of sullen, resentful, or impossible to catch), this store goes above and beyond to help its customers. When the movers dumped my washer & dryer a few feet from where they needed to be in the laundry nook, it left me stranded with nothing but my 8 year-old son to help. I called Home Depot and Ellie in Customer Service introduced me to Tim Bonenfant, an assistant manager. I showed him cellphone pics of the situation, and without hesitation, he offered to come out on his lunch break to help. He and his associate, Kevin, spent over an hour wrestling with my machines in an incredibly awkward laundry nook to get them installed and running. In the process, they discovered some of the fixtures were either in need of replacement or installed wrongly. They drove all the way back to the store to get parts, then returned to do the job right. I was so grateful for their help, I cried. This will be my go-to place for the entirety of our home renovation. read more

i got to take it back, i gave them hell in my last review,i got a honda lawnmower and it ran like crap after 3 wks , so i did my due diligence,check air filter,fresh gas, oil level ,and so on , that brings me to wk 6, so i bring it in and sam the tech keeps it for a day or 2, calls and says i cant find anything wrong ,runs great. .??? whaaat?? it ran like crap (choke sticks ) .well who cares i just mowed and it ran like a champ, maybe it just wanted to go for a ride. thx sam and home depot read more
