We go to this Home Depot frequently since it is the closest one to us. The employees are nice and helpful. I normally look up what I am looking for on the app and find the aisle and bag number prior to going to the store, so I can get in and out quickly. I came here with the intent to get prices to redo many things in my kitchen and laundry room, which would be thousands of dollars. I'm in the area for it all and even though tons of employees walked by and saw me looking, not a single employee asked me to help. There isn't even a button to call someone to help. Signed up for a credit card. Made a "purchase" online the same day and instead of getting the confirmation page or receipt I was given a page with an error message. Went to the store to make the same purchase (i thought it did not go through since i had no receipt or order number) and the card would not work. After talking to customer service found out the purchase that was done online was actually processed and the amount was taken off of my card HOWEVER no one can give me a ORDER NUMBER! Now I have to wait 3-5 days for the money to be put back on my card to make the purchase! I'm going to Lowes, this experience made me never want to shop at Home Depot again for anything! read more

Let me tell you something...my wife and I have been searching low and high, near and far for outdoor Halloween decorations. The animatronic stuff was put out right around Labor Day, which seemed far too early only...to find out I needed to fall just short of selling my body or going on the dark web to find any more, because they sell so quickly. So I end up buying a six foot LED willow tree for Halloween online only to get an email telling me it was canceled while halfway there. Annoyed, we call customer service. That's when we get Wanda on the phone. Wonderful, darling Wanda. Wanda tells us we should have been called regarding the cancellation, but that unfortunately, the trees and cauldron we were looking for were not available. It gets stranger. Wanda then actually checks. Didnt just say 'no we dont and have a nice night,' which she could have...she LOOKED. And found what we were looking for. Plus the rest we couldnt find anywhere else. THEN calls us back to tell us!!! Madness! My point, they walked with hundreds of my dollars in the form of LED willow trees and a cauldron because of customer service. Almost entirely because of customer service. The experience could very well have been negative, but because of someone doing the extra part, they have not only my business but my respect, and the world could use more of that shit right now! read more

Not much to say except that i had zero issues picking up an online order, none with processing a return and none while doing other miscellaneous shopping. From beginning to end, the experience of purchasing and delivery of our $2500 refrigerator was awful and stressful. The experience began when we went to Home Depot in Berlin to purchase the refrigerator we knew we wanted. We waited in the Appliance department about 20 minutes for someone to walk by before going to seek someone out. We were advised that the sales associate had "5 more minutes left of his lunch break". We then went on to wait another 45 minutes as we listened to them page for the sales associate to come to Appliances over and over again to no avail. Finally, I went to Customer Service at the front of the store and told the man and woman up front that we waited well over an hour and we're going to leave without buying a refrigerator. They told us to let them know what refrigerator we wanted and they would assist up front. While going through the process of purchasing the refrigerator and setting up delivery, the man we had waited for (for well over an hour) magically appeared finally. The staff up front were dumbfounded as they were looking for him the entire time. He was clearly hiding from doing his job. We the. finished the sale and left thinking there would be no further issues Well... since the people who helped us I guess don't normally set up deliveries.. they left out any check list of things that needed to be done on our part prior to delivery. So our water line was still running and hooked up. So they were unable to install the refrigerator or haul away our old one. So they dropped our new $2500 refrigerator in our garage and left. Would have been nice to know that we needed to get a plumber out prior to the delivery!!! So then we had to get a plumber to come out... and call them back to set up yet another delivery. Well the 3rd party company arrived today to complete the service and then tell us they were only told they were there to "haul away" our old refrigerator and not install the new refrigerator that is just sitting in our garage. After arguing with customer service over the phone and being told that we didn't "pay for delivery" which was not true, we ended up just paying the guys cash to install the refrigerator on the side. Thank god we had cash on us to give them! What a horrible and stressful experience from beginning to end!!! Horrible customer service and service recovery! read more

We went with Home Depot after waiting a month with Lowe's for a quote. Everything was going great until it was time to install. We started this process in June , it's now Nov. and it doesn't look like we will get our windows until January. Every time we call to see what's going on, we get the run around or no one ever returns are call. We learned our lesson. We recently bought a new Bosch dishwasher (Model SHXM4AY52N) but the Home Depot delivery and installation 3rd party contractor refused to disconnect our old one ever though we had contracted with Home Depot for them to haul it away. This, despite the fact that we had paid for haul away ($20) and installation services ($130). During the sales process (and in subsequent discussions), the salesman, Joe, was very helpful especially in going over Home Depot's "Dishwasher Delivery and Hookup Checklist" to supposedly ensure we had no problems in the delivery, installation, and haul-away process. Unfortunately, our current dishwasher was hardwired and their delivery contractor refused to disconnect it. They, therefore, wouldn't install the new one (even though we contracted for that service). The issue of being hardwired was not identified as a potential problem on the Home Depot "Dishwasher Delivery and Hookup Checklist". I suggested to the salesman that we would accept a Home Depot technician or other Home-Depot-hired 3rd party to disconnect and haul away our old dishwasher so they could honor their commitment to us, but they refused, citing liability. They did offer to refund our installation fees ($130), but instead, we cancelled the order and decided to go to Best Buy (who performed a site survey and indicated deinstallation, haul-out, and installation would be no problem). Clearly, Home Depot's "Dishwasher Delivery and Hookup Checklist" is inadequate since it didn't flag this problem. Very disappointing experience. read more

I had ordered all new kitchen appliances and paid installation and haul away fees on 06/05/20 LG refrigerator.. microwave..dishwasher..oven we had to wait for our delivery for our appliances 6/24/20 I understood because of the Covid pandemic..so they come out 06/24/20 and can't install our refrigerator because we had copper line that had to be removed ok cool we call a plumber and take care of it so I call Home Depot to reschedule them to come back out and install our refrigerator the company comes out 07/02/20 and takes the old refrigerator and leaves it in the middle of my driveway along with the box from the new refrigerator this is the most unprofessional job I've ever seen any big company like Home Depot perform. I'm completely finished with Home Depot this was very disrespectful most highly unprofessional customer service I've ever experienced In my life. I call the company as soon as I noticed and they tell me that they can't have someone come back out until 07/09/20 because it's a holiday weekend seriously you leave my old refrigerator in the middle of my driveway with the doors still on for me to fined and your excuse is no one can come back it's a holiday weekend not my problem at all I paid for haul away services...so I go to the store the manager Donna takes my information and my pictures and says they will be out 07/06/20 still totally unacceptable so I call Home Depot Corporate and I kept hearing a million sorries and there resolution is a 50 gift card UNACCEPTABLE I spent 2500 on a bundle deal paid installation and haul away and I have a refrigerator and trash left in my driveway still waiting 4 days later for Home Depot to pick it up...Never again I'll take my money and services elsewhere read more

The Home Depot has become my new BFF as I prepare to move into a new-to-me home after 10 years in a condo. Paint, shelf-liner, paint brushes and blue tape are just a few items I've been requried to pick up to begin the monstrous task of remodeling. I'm average four visits within every seven days. Plenty of staff available to answer my questions. The bonus is that none of them have laughed at my inquiries, which I'm sure are ridiculous on some level. The cashier has even said to me, "it's nice to see you again." Plenty of stock available for each item I've needed -- even plenty of stock available for items I've priced out for future purchases. I'm also planning -- once I'm done moving -- to attend one of the classes hosted by The Home Depot to learn how to dedo floors or whatever other workshop they're offering when I'm ready. read more

5/14/21 Update: After receiving a phone call right after the previous review from a Home Depot customer service first name Robin, I decided to give them another try since she was so nice and assured me that there will be a team available 5/11/21 to install my windows with 100% no cancellations or any other excuse they could come up with( I should have known better than to fall for sweet lady) sure enough they canceled again and after I requested to pick up and get my windows, today they gave me the windows so I can install them myself. Only took about a year to get my hands on my windows. The funny part is that nobody is picking up my phone calls anymore!!!Lol. I love HD. Huge fan of our West Berlin Store. I follow them on all social media as well as encourage my 700+ followers to do the same. Whenever I leave there, I am so happy to see the regulars- the hard working associates that make that store what it is. I've tagged myself there so many times because I've always loved shopping there and have been a fan for years! Until now. See, I made the decision to take out a home improvement loan for flooring in December and on 12/5, the laminate I looked forward to was laid through out the lower level of my house. Over the next several weeks, my floor started to gap. I mean huge gaps. The kind you can lose change in if you drop it. The floorboards dont even meet the trim in the dining room. The instilation customer service associate- a smart, pro-active lady, began to negotiate repair with ACS- an East Coast installation company with horrible reviews on social media such as Yelp as far back as 2014 (I just found this out). It is March 18th, and our flooring issues are worse today than yesterday. To the point where you feel like you have to be careful walking in places. I've attempted to speak with the boss of ACS but he says he will call you and doesn't. I've racked up 17k that I pay interest on monthly and still have no solid flooring. ACS dodges phone calls and makes no apologies. And you know what? I'm not alone! I'm seeing negative reviews EVERYWHERE. HD corporate entities should take a look around on social media and see what everyone is saying about this company if they haven't already. Do they want to be associated with subcontractors described as "shaddy" "unreasonable" "unreliable" and "horrible?" Or is this a "business as usual" standard for HD? ACS does not have the reputation of quality workmanship you want for your company. I found this out first hand. And to make it worse, HD of West Berlin takes such a passive "thats too bad, oh well, it's not us, it's the installer" view of complaints that repair takes forever. I've not received a call from anyone from management with an explanation or an apology and they've known about it for months. Needless to say, customers like me that have made HD the 200 BILLION dollar company it is- in the end- we don't matter. Customers: Please, do your research before you invest time, effort and credit into HD installation services. You will want to be extremely careful. And HD- if you see this, no need to respond by saying "we will do everything we can, just forward all info to customer care." ~ If you want any information about my account contact ext 410, then please call me directly with a resolution. me and my fiancé went to our local Home Depot shopping for a washer and dryer . The customer service representative showed us a clearance lg washer dryer unit that was recently exchanged from a older couple for a different model after a week of having it. We were considering those or she referred us to online or Lowe's . At the time I didn't think much of it , alittle strange but ok. So we went with ordering online. We picked an LG all in one washer dryer unit. We received the unit June 27,2018. Right away we've notice the loads take a very long time to finish (understood) but the first 4 loads had a very bad odor . I read reviews many people experienced this and said it goes away. By this time we have pasted the 48 hour window for damage or defects. But I was noticing EVERY loAd was very wrinkly . I tried making extremely small loads nothing worked . So I finally called Home Depot , I said the unit isn't meeting our needs and would like to exchange it for another unit . We were told they have to call someone and look into it, because it was an online order. So I figured I'd call the online support . Fast forward no one could help us they sent LG out to service the machine . I knew it wasn't broken - which was confirmed. But we still pasted the 48 hour window . So we're "looked into it and could not offer any solutions" so we are not allowed to return or exchange our machine. So we are now stuck with this wash and dryer unit that cost 1820.00 so needless to say I am very upset with our local Home Depot , and feel I am being discriminated against because they allowed "an older couple" a few weeks previously to do exactly what we wanted to do. We even said we would purchase the washer and dryer on the showroom floor , so they didn't have any inconvenience with the shocking. I was told the policy states we had 48 hours. No the policy said "48 hours to report DAMAGE OR DEFECTS" we had neither , it also says "we may be subjected to a 15% restocking fee for exchanges or returns" So EVERYTHING is contradictory and basically at the stores discretion , CLEARLY because im not "an older couple" and me and my fiancé are a young couple the managers REFUSE to help us . MAKES ME SICK. 1820.00 is a lot of money to be out. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT HOME DEPOT AGAIN, nor should anyone else . read more

What stands this home depot apart is the service. Almost all of the employees that I have encountered here have been helpful, patient, and informative. They also offer free monthly workshops which I like to attend. The only negative is there is one male employee who yells at other employees in front of customers and is patronizing if you are a woman. I belong to a tool library and live in a different city so I do not need to come this Home Depot, but I purposely try to make purchases here because of the the great employees. So when I encounter this type of behavior, it is frustrating. I will say it is an annoyance, but not a deal-breaker since the level of service is usually so high. read more

Tried to place a simple order by phone, but after completing it, it took them over 40 minutes (much of it on and off hold) just to find someone who knew how to accept payment by credit card. They kept telling me that they were ready to take it, and I had to give them the number three separate times before they finally were able to figure out how to take the payment. I went there this morning to get mulch and lawn soil, both on sale. It took me 3 people in the garden area to even know that they sold lawn soil. And when someone knew what it was, they told me they were out and refused to give me a rain check. Usually when they run mulch on sale, they put the pallets out front. This time they had it in the back far reaches of the garden area. I am 68 years old, and I had to get it off the pallet above my head, and put it on a flatbed cart and roll the heavy cart to the front. I could have asked for help, but why not just put some out front? read more

We've been customers at this store almost since it opened even though a competitor is closer to our home. For one, HD usually has a larger inventory of choices for products for most improvement projects. Of course, there are exceptions, such as lighting and other home decor. But, when I need hardware and personal assistance to find the exact match, I go to HD. I rarely must search far for help for assistance at HD as they seem to have more staff on the floor during odd hours, and I rarely find empty shelves when searching for something odd, such as "privacy paint for windows," or "Do you have a screw like this one?" when there are over a hundred kinds to choose from. Being a smaller female, the HD staff has also enthusiastically assisted me in pushing and loading heavy items, such as a vanity with stone top, into my car. They provide a friendly staff and much needed products and services in the community. read more
