We mingled there looking at furniture, bedding and accessories for an extended period of time. Two men were across the store from us behind computer screens at their work stations. We saw one woman in an office door who was talking to someone else in the office, who would come out, look at us, and then turn around and walk back in and continue her conversation. It felt as if they were too busy to help us. We finally sent someone to the kitchen section to inquire if we could get some help in furniture. I saw the woman come out of the office, look at us, then approach one of the men, who got up from his station and walked toward us. I explained my dilemma of having started an order online with a cabinet that was on sale and as I was processing the order, I had questions regarding shipping/delivery that I couldn't find the answers to online. So I put it aside to go into the store after my out of town work trip, not realizing the sale was for a limited time. Pulling up the order, I discovered the sale had ended and the cabinet was back to regular price. I asked if there was any way they would honor the sale price. The salesman went to ask the manager, from the same office as the talking staff, and came back and said, "she said no." No explanation, no greeting, no apology from the manager. Just "No". I have never felt so ignored and dismissed as I did in that department in that store. I'm sure this is not the standard of Crate and Barrel, but it has tarnished my opinion of the entire company from one sour experience.

What DON'T they have?…read more Answer: ACE Hardware. Well, they do, but it's a very small part of the store and it's not that impressive of an ACE. I wouldn't go there for the ACE Hardware aspect, but perusing the aisles I noticed that they do carry some unique and also niche items that other ACE Hardwares may not necessarily carry. That aside, wow, what a comprehensive store. Everything outdoorsy: camping, hunting, fishing, BBQ, etc. Tons of clothing, which is probably close to 40% of the store. Then there is the toy section. Huge. Good place to shop for toys. Lots of unique offerings, too. Then there is the candy/snack section. You will spend 20-30 minutes easily going through the aisles there and seeing what they have. I dare you to walk out empty-handed! LOL Then there is this bin section. Lots of sort of cheap (not necessarily cheaply built) stuff. Some aisles have kitchen or household gadgets and things, lots of aisles have what I would call Christmas stocking stuffer kind of items that include toys and games and novelty items. Kitchen and household goods section is huge. Employees are friendly, mostly teenagers. Good peeps. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. The front of the store seemed like they were renovating a bit or moving displays around. They have a small area there in between the restrooms that is a single dog washing station! They seem to have a nice selection of different products, and had I not been in a rush, I would have loved to look around more.

Staff were very friendly. I knocked off a star for 2 reasons: because the aisles were a bit tight and the carts huge. Trying to pass people without knocking something off was a bit nerve wracking. Also, some incredibly high prices on a few decor items I've seen at Hobby Lobby and other stores. I found some really adorable items, but even Amazon sells them cheaper.

They always seem to keep the place understaffed. Trying to find someone is tough and I don't think I've seen more than one yET at the register no matter how long the lines are. They are quick to apologize for the wait. The computers are often adding to the problem being slower than molasses to ring you up. The staff are always pleasant but the experience is consistently one that has me saying I wont go back and will try and find a different place to buy my home decor needs.

What I really love about Ace is that it's not corporate HD or Lowe's where there are mass amount of people and isles that are packed with off shelf displays that are hard to maneuver around. AND Ace has really just about everything needed for household repairs or the top quality brands in power tools. They don't stock a lot of lumber products (if any??) and their sprinkler supplies are lacking a bit, BUT that has improved. Also, if you're into smoking meats, they have an incredible section of sauces, pellets, smoker hardware, and apparel. Love going to Ace!
