The product value is insanely high! Why pay so much for a tool truck? Warranty is perfect at HFT!

Too many times, we take the easy route. We take the cheap course. It costs less, it's easier another way, or we're scared to do things the hard way--the right way, the way we're meant to do them. Me? I've fallen victim to this sometimes in my life. I'm not immune. But I've learned over the years, that once you know what you want, you just can't settle for anything else. I take the hard course when it's the right course. When I know that if I do the hard work, or spend the money, or make the hard decisions, I will get where I want to go. I will have new levels of achievement. And once I know that, I can hardly go back and settle for anything less. I learn that lesson in a real straightforward way at Harbor Freight. When it counts--when it's really important--I just don't come here. Buy the thing you really want, and don't settle for less. You'll be happy. It's hard to save up, and you may feel as if you come within an inch of your patience, but you'll be so much happier when you do this. When it doesn't much matter, when you need odds and ends, then this is a great option. Tarps, rope, giveaway loaner tools--you'll be extremely happy with what they offer and you can fill the crevices in your tool collection with them. But not the thing you will depend on. The thing that you need a good return policy for. The things you will use every day. Those you would probably find elsewhere. Do yourself another favor, and check out the coupons before you head in. They live off of coupons, and they do make you scan them--either pull them up on your phone screen or print them out beforehand. Sometimes they're product-specific, and sometimes they're flat discount. Today they were running a 20% off any item coupon, which came in handy when I bought my dad's Father's Day present here. Also, on a side note, I love it when dads tell you what to buy them and where to get it. Not always, but this year was super handy. Harbor Freight has a place in the tool shed, or on the workbench. It's not on the top shelf, but it's still there. But take my advice and get the top shelf stuff; make the hard but right decision. read more

I was victimized by Harbor Freight. I have shopped there multiple times and provided my contact information, particularly my e-mail. I received an email solicitation for a FREE power washer for filling out a survey; All I needed to do was pay shipping charges of $8.98. I filled out the survey, paid the $8.98, and then found out it was not really a free power washer but a raffle. I was deceived. I will never shop at this sleazy outfit again. I advise anyone never to give them any personal contact information. read more

This location is horrible. Customer service is terrible. It is disorganized, staff is not helpful and they are rude. It was my first time even going to a harbor freight. I had to go to the west valley location because, even though the West Jordan location says they have cargo carriers... They have zero in stock. Tons on display though. I even called before I went to their location to double check they had them before driving all the way to them. Would have been great if they told me they didn't actually have any in stock. Instead I was told, yes that they carry lots of different types. Waste of time. Glad I went to the West Valley location otherwise I would have though all harbor freight were as bad as the west Jordan location and I would have never even considered shopping their company again. read more

No one in the store was wearing a mask correctly IF even wearing a mask. The cashier was even coughing on customer product while ringing us up. Horrible experience with Zero Precautions Made. One silver lining would be that they were fully stocked.. but I would not recommend visiting. Gross read more

You know what you are getting coming here. My biggest gripe is that stock is never completed at the front of the store. Someone has to go get your stuff for all sorts of things that are in-stock. read more

This Harbor Freight Tools seems to have more of everything than the other locations. If you are looking for a item and you can't seem to find it you should be coming to this store. I am so very happy with this Harbor Freight location that I will travel from Springville way up here to West Jordan to buy my tools. read more

This place really is not that big but they never cease to amaze me. Every time I come here, I find exactly what I need - even odd sized and random parts and pieces always seem to be in stock. It's really nice not to have to go to a huge home improvement store to get what I need. I can come to Harbor Freight, run in, run out and get all of my home improvement projects done! Honey-do list. C'mon. This place is guy (and girl!) tool heaven! Prices are great and the staff knows everything about tools so even a novice can find what works best. I even saw my 1st grade teacher buying stuff. (Well, not really. She died years ago...but I'm sure she would have!) They have stuff I want but don't even need! I love this place. When my wife wants to shop for shoes, she first drops me off at HF knowing she can take her time (hours). She calls it her, "Daddy Daycare" because she knows I'll be safe, protected and happy just wandering the isles until she come to pick me up. Did I say I love this place? Best tool place on the planet. I can't wait until she needs more shoes. read more

I stop here when I need rope, tarps, simple tools and other odds and ends. I got several padded moving blankets and a handcart for about the same price u-haul wanted just to rent the same items. I have gotten a few power tools here for one time jobs that worked great for a great price. I'm not sure I would go as far as recommending a harbor freight power tool for constant or heavy duty use but all else should be fine. read more

Bought a sander / polisher from them, used it one day and it died. Tried to return it and was told no receipt no returns or exchanges. Why give my number and email if your not going to use that information to help track purchases. Lesson learned pay more and buy from Lowe's where they can track your purchases by phone number. read more

I'm very happy we have a Harbor Freight close. I have had great luck with a lot of there tools. When I get a bad one and have my receipt there is never a problem getting a refund. A lot of there stuff is cheap and would never hold up to every Day users. There is so many times I need a tool just for one project, when that happens this is where I go for the tool. read more

I've bought two things there both in the last two weeks. The first seems to be working. The second fell apart when I tried to install it so I went to Home Depot to get better quality. Tonight I stopped by to get another of the same thing I bought the first time. I checked the website which said they closed at 8 pm. They're not close so I went when I was in the area for another activity. It was 7:01 when I got there. The supervisor blocked the door and said they were closed. There were customers still in there. I told him I checked the website and he pointed to a handwritten sign on the door. I told him I needed one item and knew exactly where it was. He blatantly lied and said the CDC mandated that they close exactly at 7 pm. The CDC doesn't have time to mandate when each and every store opens and closes. The state health department doesn't have that kind of time either. They're both managing the coronavirus response not micromanaging each and every business. Why lie? Why not just admit customer service is greatly lacking? It's not worth going back when the supervisor believes in lying to blame someone else instead of telling the truth. read more

This place is fantastic! Harbor Freight has saved me so much money vs buying top name brands that are sometimes 4x the cost! Most of the time if you forget to bring your coupon the cashiers will still give you the discount! I like how if they come out with a bad tool and you return it under warranty, they send the defective tool back to the manufacturers so they can make the necessary engineering improvements for future batches of tools. Remember when their 90 amp mig welder was orange and lasted about a month? Well the returns on those going through the roof resulted in the new black ones which I have had almost 4 years now and gone through dozens of spools of wire! Works like a boss! read more

I was there Sunday morning, They had a lot of people in there, Two cashiers. One of the cashiers was helping someone with a big purchase, while another employee stood by the door waiting with the purchase. Long lines, Finally another cashier showed up and instead of taking someone who had been waiting a while, they just helped the first person who could get there. Some of these people had been waiting 15 minutes. When I said to the woman(employee) waiting at the door that it was really rude and that this cashier should have taken the next person in line, She simply said yeah, Like DO I CARE. This is one of my husbands favorite stores. I think we may have to rethink this. read more

I will say don't buy anything air or electric powered here, it wont last and will not do the job its needed to do when it is working correctly. however hand tools, jacks, trailer parts and other odds and ends are of decent quality, hand tools are lifetime warranty so if it breaks go get a new one on harbor freight. I am a technician at a high end car dealership in the valley, I have tools that cost me into the thousands for single specialty tools that I need to do my job, my basic most used stuff throughout my day such as wrenches, impact sockets, pliers, screwdrivers, prybars and hammers are all from harbor freight. I have 90k plus invested in my tools. and the stuff that pays the bills is from harbor freight. other manufactures tools do have advantages over harbor freight tools but its not enough of an advantage to spend usually triple on them. customer service is terrible, never met an employee of this company that I liked while I was shopping in the store, but if you gonna spend 3 bucks on a full wrench set you cant really complain about them to much. read more
